Nine-year-old Harlow walked around the Isle by herself, as she often did when she had nothing else better to do with her day. When she walked by anyone, those who were around her just scampered away in fear of the daughter of death. She liked it, because it meant that she would be left alone and people wouldn't annoy her, but she also wished that someone would just stay and talk to her, because she didn't really have anyone to hang out with as friends. She hadn't seen Evie since that disastrous party three years ago, and hardly ever spoke to anyone her own age since.

She walked around the south side of the Isle and turned down an unfamiliar road, seeing that it was a marketplace. She proceeded to steal little trinkets whenever the merchants weren't looking, and when she was caught, she made her eyes glow blue, causing the merchant to cower back in fear. That was one magic ability she could do in order to maintain the fear of others.

Harlow continued walking and eventually made it to a dock labelled Pirate's Bay. She noticed three fisherman sitting on the docks with a couple fish beside them on large dishes. She smirked to herself and walked up to the fishermen, kicking all the fish off of the dishes and back into the water. One of the fisherman stood up, ready to let her have it.

"WHY YOU LITTLE-" He said, turning around to face her. Harlow raised an eyebrow as the man went to attack her. When he realized who he was dealing with, he and the other two scampered away without any fish or bait, even leaving their fishing poles behind. Harlow proceeded to snap the old poles in half before throwing the pieces into the sea.

She proceeded to continue walking, soon finding a large, run-down pirate ship. Harlow observed the people on the ship, noticing the words Jolly Roger written on the side. It didn't take Harlow two seconds to realize that it was Captain Hook's ship. She had read and heard in school about how the pirate had attempted to invade and take over Neverland and almost killed Peter Pan, the Darling children, and all the Lost Boys. Despite it being very old, the ship was still in as good shape as it could've been for being stuck on the Isle for so long.

As she continued to observe the ship, Harlow noticed three young kids, two girls and a boy, walking around on the ship. The boy looked to be about her age, and each of the girls looked to be about a year or two older and younger. Judging by their looks, Harlow felt that it was safe to assume that the three of them were siblings; and also Captain Hook's kids.

The two girls left, walking down the dock while the boy stayed on the ship, leaning against the mast as he watched all the crew members around him. Some crew members were cleaning, some were playing a card game, and some were drinking themselves into oblivion.

As Harlow continued her observation of the ship, the boy took notice of the young goddess standing on the dock, looking out of place. He placed his sword in its sheath, and walked over to the railing right next to the gangplank, leaning over as he looked at Harlow.

Harlow looked up and her eyes landed on the boy who was staring at her. The boy proceeded to walk down the gangplank, stopping in front of the Underworld princess. The two of them just stared at each other before the boy broke the silence.

"What are ye doing here?" The boy asked.

Harlow looked him up and down. "What? Can't a girl walk around if she wants to?"

The boy looked at her intently. "On the Isle? Is it really safe for anyone ta be walking around alone?"

"It is when everyone fears you when you're the daughter of death."

"Or when you're the son of the most insane pirate." The boy said, making Harlow chuckle. She stuck out her hand, and the boy briefly took it for a shake.

"Harlow."

"Harry."

The two nine-year-olds didn't realize it then, but those words started a lifelong friendship between them.
