Chapter 4 'Old Memories
In Zero's room, Zero was sitting down on his bed. He was frowning at Sabrina was down on her knees glaring at him with her tail hitting the bed with anger. "You gonna keep glaring at me?" Zero asked which earned him a cat like hiss from Sabrina.
Jess coming out of the bathroom with a wet rag walked over to Zero "Sabrina stop it already" Sabrina pouted looking away. Jess sitting next to Zero she lifted wet rag to Zero's bleeding forehead "sorry about Sabrina… she is highly protective of me…" Zero blushed "It's alright…" Jess smiled wiping the blood from his forehead.
Sabrina growled Zero "My lady lets hurry and leave! You shouldn't be around someone who forces himself on others!" Zero bites his lip "shut up cat!" Sabrina growled sitting up on the bed fast "be quiet vampire! You're lucky I won't kick your ass for touching her!"
Jess sighed deeply making Sabrina stiffen. She turned to Sabrina with glowing eyes "turn back into your cat forum, get back to my room and do not leave until allow you too" Sabrina's ears went down with a sadden look "Yes Lady Jess" with a puff she had transformed into a cat and rushed to the window jumping out of it.
Jess says softly "Again sorry about it" Zero chuckled softly "Its alright" Jess smiled and pulled back her hand "there the bleeding stop, you aren't healing yet…?"
Zero sighs "My healing is slightly slow" Jess frowned but reached up with her fingers. He blinked has her fingers hovered over his still healing cut. Then he felt it, some magical aura from her. Jess smiled pulling back her hand "There all healed" she got up. Zero reached up and touched his forehead, he didn't feel any cut there 'did she use magic to heal me…?'
"Well I better get back to my dorm, see you tomorrow Zero" she said heading for the door. Zero bites his lip getting up fast and stops her before she lives "Wait!" Jess blinked and turned around "Yes?"
Zero flushed "Thank you for tonight… and about earlier… about the marking.." Jess just looked at him for a moment but had a soft smile on her face "Zero… I know, I'm not really ready to be marked by anyone… I'll date but not be marked"
Zero's eyes widen 'date….?!' "Well then… date me…?" Jess's face flushed but chuckled softly "Take me on a date and lets see" Zero flushed and smirked "Movies then dinner?" Jess chuckled "Sure! This Saturday! Goodnight Zero" she said and left his room quickly. Zero sat down on his bed and laid back with a deep sigh 'a date with Jess… huh?' he smiled with a flush face.
The Next day, Jess was with her parents at a café. She was getting to know them a lot more. I how she wish that she never missed her time with, her uncle took away her time with her parents. How she despised him at this moment, she still loves him but deeply despises him at the current moment. What Jess did was put a drop of blood in each their tea's with her memories of grow up and even falling in love then losing it.
She didn't want them to bite her of course so she used her magic and blood with a single drop to show them. Dawn smiles taking a sip of her tea "This is nice, the three of us… I wish come true…" she sniffed trying to cry. Jess frowned with a worry look "Mom…" Jareth reached over taking Dawn's hand "Love it is, please calm down. Take a deep breath" Dawn takes a breath and smiles "I'm sorry about that, I'm alright" Jess smiled at this. Jareth then frowned and looked out the window.
"What is it?" Dawn asked. Jess frowned she could sense something from outside like danger. Jareth narrowed out the window "assassin…" Jareth whispered for only their table to hear. Dawn's eyes widen "Assassin? Should we leave?" Jess frowned 'assassin…? Why would there be a' Before anyone of them could move the glass window shattered making the girls in the café scream.
Jess's eyes widen as a hand was in front of her face, holding a bullet. Jess gasped and looked to her side to see a woman with long light blue hair that was tied back into a pony tail. Her eyes were a radiant blue with a black slit pupils. Wearing a black PU Leather Jacket Faux Slim Leather, Black faux leather skater skirt, Black Faux Leather Chunky Heel Thigh High Boots, black faux leather fingerless gloves and black mask that covered half her lower face. There was double katana's on her back.
Jareth's eyes widen 'such speed…. Who is this woman…?' Dawn gasped getting up "River…." Jess sighed looking away 'great know she is here? Was she ordered to watch over me by uncle?' a waiter came over "is everyone alright?" he seemed not to notice River. Dawn turned to him "Yes we alright" the waiter nodded "your orders are on the house for what happen" he bowed and walked off.
Jareth stood "It's not safe here, lets head back to the school" he said getting up. Jess got up and looked to her left side, River was gone. She sighed but followed her parents out of the Café and headed for the school.
Outside the vampire assassin had to change roof tops, leaping from one to another 'dam I didn't know that woman would be here!' he bite his lip 'I need to finish this job for overlord Clover..' then wires wrapped around him making his eyes widen and has he was pinned to the grounded by wires and there was river with a Katana to his throat "Who sent you? Who sent you to Kill Lady Jess?" the man bite his lip and spit at her "I'm not telling you anything dragon knight of the Mikcloud Family!"
River sighs "I guess, I'll have to resort to something else" she knelled "You vampires are no match for me" she said has her blue eyes turned into slits, removing her mask she grinned showing fangs. Her fangs where unique. Both sides of her upper premolars and Caine's where fangs.
"I normal won't eat a vampire because they taste foul so let's see what you have to hide" reaching she took a hold onto his arm from the wires and stood up holding it in place making his eyes widen "What are you…" he didn't finish when his arm sliced off smoothly from her katana like a knife to butter.
It made him scream in pain, River chuckled with a grin "well Bonappetit" as she took a bite of the arm.
An hour later Jess and her parents where in Cross's office with Kaname and Jetter. Jess was looking away and not looking at her uncle. Dawn held her hand, Jareth cleared his throat "So mind telling us why my daughter has assassins after her warlock?"
Jetter narrowed and stood up "I thought you would know after all you had her own cousin spy on the family!" Jareth narrowed more at him. Dawn bites her lip "Brother shut up! There's reason why Yukine did what he did! He knew the truth!" Jetter growled "I don't care!"
Jess stood up fast making everyone stop talking "be quiet" she said in a harsh whisper which made their eyes widen "You have no right to speak on my behave anymore uncle" she turned to him with almost red eyes. Kaname's eyes widen at this, he could sense a vampire aura with in her. Jareth's eyes widen but smirked at her. Dawn was looking at her with a worried look.
Jetter gulped 'her seal is weakening…? But how…?!' Kaien hummed softly "enough already, Jess please down" Jess frowned and looked away sitting back down. "Know then Jetter please tell us..?" Jetter frowned and sat down "you'll have to take it up with Zach"
Eyes widen, Kaname stared at him with shock "Zach…. King Zachariah…?" Jetter nodded. Jareth groaned sitting back down "why him?" "Because who else would send a vampire assassin after Jess!" "Wait a moment! You telling me Zach sent this assassin?!" Dawn shouted. Jess stood up again "No it wasn't Zach, someone else" they look at her "Who dear?" Dawn asked.
Jess sighs again "River" she said has River appeared before knell. Kaname blinked but his eyes widen 'her… where have I seen her before….' Then a memory flashed in his head it was a foggy memory, but it was a woman with long light blue hair standing next to another woman which was black out. Kaname's eyes widen 'it can't be… her…?'
"River what did you find?" Jess asked her. River kept her head down in respect "the assassin was sent by Clover" Jetter gasped standing up "Clover?!" Jareth frowned "Clover…? Clover…" then his eyes widen "Clover..! Clover Meyers, Zach's Older brother! The one that tried overthrow Zach and tried to kill my daughter! Him!?" Dawn frowned "But didn't he get put in Zach's personal Vampire prison for vampire criminals?" Jetter nodded "Yeah he did… River I want you to contact Zach and let him know"
River didn't say a word to him making him frown "River I said" "didn't I say be quiet Uncle, River doesn't follow you personally" Jess says to him glaring "you forgetting on who's familiar she is?"
Jareth was grinning 'oh my baby girl is getting pissed! I love it' Dawn sighed "She's right Jetter, you have authority over her anymore" Jetter bites his lip in anger. "Most likely Frank will start listening to her more then you" Jareth says with a grin "It seems she's taking her place has Regina's reincarnation know"
Kaname stood up "Wait what?" they look him but Jess and River. Jareth raised his eyebrow "Really know? On how old you are you do not remember what she looked like Kaname? Regina Mikcloud, the first Queen of Witches"
Kaname's eyes turned to Jess who turned to him. Looking into her eyes more that same memory popped up, with River standing next to a woman who became clear.
~Memory~
Kaname sighed softly, he had managed to sneak off from a noble get together. He roamed the woods and found an old Gazebo. Walking over and into he sat down relaxing. He was missing Aurelia Rosario, she was out somewhere.
(Note that there is unknown name for the hooded woman, so I gave her a name)
Hearing footsteps, he turned to see a man walk up. He had short silverish white hair, and silver eyes. His skin was porcelain color. He was wearing a elegant looking royal knight armor "Are you Kaname Kuran?" Kaname can sense he was human but something else that puzzled him. "Yes and you are?" the man chuckled "Forgive me" he put his right hand up on his best and did a small bow "I'm Frank Valkyrie I've been sent here to test you"
Kaname had a confused look on his face "Test me? Why would a human test me? Who sent you?" Frank chuckled "Forgive me, please don't hold back" Kaname still looked confused has the man rushed at him with such speed. 'such speed for a human!' he dodges out of the "What are you doing?!" Kaname shouted has his vampire eyes turned red 'I never thought a human would try and attack me..!' the man moved fast again. A Complete hand to hand combat fight was taking place in the Gazebo. This man his was fighting with was matching him with speed and even strength, no ordinary human can have this sort of power.
Within five minutes Kaname was flip on the ground, he gasped has the man was about to strike "Enough" a soft woman's voice rang through his ears. The Man stepped to the side and bowed "Of course my lady"
Kaname looked over at the entrance of the Gazebo. A woman with long light hair was in pig tails, fair skin and cat like piercing glowing blue eyes and wearing some sort of ninja like outfit. Next to her was other woman, she had on a gorgeous purple gown with a golden tiara on her head, her long wavy red hair flowed with the wind. Her deep emerald eyes with a slight glow staring down at him. She smiled down at him "Good evening King Kuran, I am Regina Mikcloud, Queen of the witches. I would like to speak with you about a truce."
Kaname was stunned by this woman in front her, he got up 'queen of witches… huh?' he did a slightly "Good evening to you also your Majesty, you speak of truce but you had one of your people attack me?" Regina chuckled at him "I'm sorry about that, it was to test you.. besides Frank has always wanted to fight you" Frank flushed at this "my lady…" Regina giggled slightly. River was shaking her head.
Kaname looked at him then her "Did you make him strong has me with magic to face me? I know a mere human would not be able to win against me…" Regina laughed making Kaname frowned 'is she laughing me..?' "Oh No Lord Kaname, that is his natural strength" Kaname's eyes widen and looked Frank "how… his human.." Frank narrowed slightly "I'm half human vampire" Kaname looked surprised at this "Half?" Regina chuckled "Yes, he's half human and half angel believe of not"
Vampire's eyes grew wider "Angel….?" 'half angel…?! Angels exist?!' Frank looked annoyed with this. Regina smiled stepping over to Kaname "Kaname, I would like a truce between me and your family. I do not want another vampire and witch war, do you?"
Kaname frowned "No… I don't want another. Aurelia also didn't like the fact witches and vampire have such a bloody history…" "Kaname" they all turned, River was right in front of Regina protecting her. The hooded vampire woman, Aurelia Rosario was standing there shocked by the presence of Regina. Kaname moved into the side "Aurelia…"
Aurelia smiled and bowed "Queen Regina, it's an honor to be in your presence" Regina chuckled "I was just speaking with Kaname about a truce" Aurelia looked at Kaname who nodded. Aurelia smiled "Of course, a truce would be a good thing to have" Regina smiled brightly "Good please come with me to my castle in Scotland" she lifted her hand has a portal near the Gazebo appeared "well discuss it threw a magical treaty signing" Aurelia bowed "Of course your majesty, come Kaname" Kaname nodded they both followed Regina and her two guards through the portal.

Kaname gasped "Regina… why did I forget what she looked like…?" Jareth padded his shoulder "It could have been from sleeping for too long, even after waking up your past memory is still hazy" Kaname nodded 'true…' he looked back at Jess 'so Jess is the reincarnation of Regina…. So rare in humans even in witches… and Vampires'
Jess looked back down at River "go to Grivida and let Zach know" River nodded "Yes my Lady" with that she disappeared. Jess sighed "I'm going to go lay down, leave me be" she turned and left the room rather quickly.
"So, what are we gonna do know since Clover is sending assassins after Jess from in prison?" Dawn asked. Jetter sighed sitting down "we wait, for Zach to contact us… mostly likely he will come here himself to see if she is alright… after all Jess was almost his daughter in law" Kaname frowned slightly sitting back down.
Jareth chuckled "I haven't seen Zach forever it seems, I wonder if he still looks handsomely young still" Dawn poking him "he does love" Jareth laughed "true, the Meyers are the oldest vampire family, he's the same age has Kaname here" Kaname shook his head 'Zach… I haven't seen him since Aurelia… threw her heart in the furnace…'
In Grivida a small country that was cloaked by magic ruled be the Meyers vampire, a hooded cloak man walked down a hall in the deepest part of the dungeon under the castle. Two guards were standing on each side of a thick metal door. He stopped in front of it "open it know" they nodded and opened the door for him, he stepped in. the room was dimmed but color of the room was white.
The walls and floors were padded in white. There was a white padded bed in the left corner in the far back of the room, in the far back of the room was darker, for a normal person they could not see in the darkness but with this man's eyes he could.
Suddenly red glowing eyes shined in the darkness a chuckled filled the air "Hello Brother.. nice of you to visit me.." the hooded vampire sighed "Clover, you know why I'm here?" Clover chuckled in the darkness "Oh do I? mhmm maybe because I put a hit on that disgusting girls head then yes"
Zach would see him smirking with such dark look on his face "How in the hell did you put a hit on her being in here?" "Mhmm maybe you have a traitor guard right under your nose" The guards outside eyes widen in shock to hear that.
Zach stepped close to him "you have no reason to put a hit on her anymore" Clover chuckled and stood up "Oh brother I think not, I will in such deep enjoyment in seeing her gone from the face of the earth"
Zach growled and in a flash he had Clover against the wall and his eyes were glowing red now "Why do you want her gone so bad?!" Clover chuckled "if it wasn't for her our family would be pure, simple she is a disease all the Mikcloud's are just like the first queen of witches oh how she looks so much like her, how I loth her for cutting off my arm! It took a year to grew back from her magic slowing down my healing!" he shouted.
Zach punched him in the stomach and stepped back, Clover went the floor with a gasp "You can't stop me brother one day I will get her" Zach growled and turned away walked back to the door "I will not let that happen Clover, it seems Jareth and Dawn finally found her and told her everything."
Clover's eyes widen more "Jareth Kyran?! That bastered is now by her side?!" Zach opened the door and stepped out "He is after all her father" he slammed the door and locked it. "I think I need to change my guards who guard you" the guards eyes widen as they gasp in, there blood was boiling "no one will let you out know" Zach whispered and both guards were bleeding from their eyes and ears falling on the floor dead.
Zach walked away, Clover in his cell laughed "I will get her brother! One day I will personally get free and enjoy eating her!" While walking away Zach's fist gripped and his eyes shined red 'Jess…'
Back up at the castle, not long Zach walked through its halls he was ready to head out to Cross academy to see Jess. "Father" he stopped to see his Chida. Highly attractive boy, short emoish black hair, grey eyes. He was wearing band shirt, black men's skinny jeans and black converse. "Chida" Chida looked at his father more "You're going aren't you? to see Jess?"
Zach nodded "Yes my son, would you like to come with?" Chida flushed and right away nodded "Of course" "Well count me too!" they both turned to another highly attractive boy, emoish black hair and piercing red eyes. Zach sighs "alright Kaci you can come" he said walking away. Chida and Kaci followed him, Kaci humming with excitement. Chida sighed "Of course you would wanna come"
Kaci grinned "You can't blame me for wanting to see her" Chida sighed "yeah I know… it's been like months since ricks death… since we last saw her…" "I'm sure she will be happy see us cousin" Kaci says with a smile. Chida nodded to his cousin "Yeah…"
Back Cross Academy, Jess was in her room laying down. She shivered slightly. This made her frown and sighed "I feel a disturbance…." "What you a jedi know?" Jess popped up and see's Zero in her window. Jess gasped "Zero what are you doing?!" Zero stepped in and frowned at her "I wanted to know if you were alright… Cross let me and Yuki know of what happen to you"
Jess frowned looking away "I'm fine no need to worry about me…" Zero also stepped over "Also finding out about your parents… so your half vampire?" Jess not looking "yes…. Half pureblood if you put it like that but its sealed away" 'I know he hates vampires.. finding out I'm half vampire…. Will he hate me know?'
Then she gasped when she was pulled into his chest. Zero was hugging her "W-Why… you hugging me….? I thought you would hate me… for being half vampire…." Zero sighs softly holding her "Yuki would kill me if I judged you right away… besides, I got to know you more than ever…. You may be part vampire but doesn't change you Jess" Jess was shocked by this.
She bared her face in his chest "Zero…. Thank you" Hearing the door opened, Zero turn to see Kaname in the door with Yuki. Yuki's eyes widen at this with a blush face, Kaname was narrowing at Zero than ever.
Jess moved out of Zero's arms "Yuki… Kaname… what you are doing here?" Yuki pushed her fingers together "Well I wanted to see if you were alright" Jess blinked but smiled "I'm alright Yuki" Yuki smiled brightly rushing over to Jess hugging her "Thank goodness!" Jess chuckled hugging her back. She glanced Kaname who was glaring at Zero and in return Zero was glaring at Kaname.
She bites her lip "The both of you out please, I would like to speak with Yuki alone" Zero frowned but nodded walking towards the door and pass Kaname leaving. Kaname looked at Jess and left the room closing the door.
Jess sighs and released Yuki from the hug "so I take it you know also about my parents?" Yuki nodded "yeah" Jess sat down "Jess who is after you?" Jess frowned "a bad vampire…" Yuki sat down "Please tell me…" Jess frowned looking down "Okay…"
Outside, far from the girl's dorm. Zero was pushed into a tree by Kaname. Zero groaned but narrowed "What the hell Kuran!" Kaname's eyes turned red making Zero's body go stiff "Zero tell me do you have feelings for Jess?" Zero bites his lip and looked away "why do you wanna know?"
Kaname growled "Because I'm gonna make her my mate and I would advise you back off, has your Sire you forbidden to have any contact with her" Zero's eyes widen and his body pulsed 'NO! NO! NO! he can't do this to me!' "Bastered! You already took Yuki and know you wanna take Jess?!"
Then a hand was on Kaname's shoulder making him freeze, he turned to see Jareth with a upset look "You need my permission Kaname, has a pureblood you will go by the rules and ask for a purebloods blessing for their children"
Kaname frowned "forgive me Lord Jareth…" Jareth chuckled "To be honest, she is still too young to fully be mated so wait and ask me when her schooling is done" then turning to Zero and smiled "Zero same goes to you" he chuckled walking off "be ready for Zach show up soon, I have a feeling he's on his way here"
Kaname sighs softly, Zero straighten up his shirt and stomped off. Kaname stood there but end up walking back to the moon dorm. In the distance behind a tree, Hanabusa over here this. He looked shocked 'So Jess is half pureblood…? And Jareth is her father…. And know another pureblood king is showing up…?' He frowned disappeared from behind the tree.
Later the night, Jess was doing her rounds alone. She didn't need Zero hover her shoulder. Walking around the fountain area, she sighed softly. She was thinking of Zero and Kaname's offer to mark her. Lifting up to her left side of her next she rubbed it. Even after his death she can still feel his bite, tears going down her face. Memories of Rick flowed through her minds "Rick…." She sat down bench trying to calm down her tears,
She missed him dearly, reaching in her pocket for some Advil, a headache was surfacing. Taking it out the pill bottle fell from her hands and fell in between an opening on the bench. Frowning she got up then knelled down and reached for it only feel a slight pinch which made her gasp and pull her hand back. There was a piece of glass in her palm.
She frowned 'a piece of glass?' she was about to yank it out when her wrist was grabbed making her eyes widen looking up. It was Hanabusa, she frowned at him "Oh my you alright Lady Jess?" Jess stood up, he did not let go of her wrist
"Hanabusa please let me go…" Hanabusa did not answer her just gently looked at the glass in her palm "Hold still this will hurt" Jess stood still when he yanked it out making her gasp "Ow..!"
Hanabusa blinked "You alright?" then that sweet smell came to his nose 'her blood smells so sweet…' looking down at her palm, he licked his lips this made her eyes widen and pull her arm back but Hanabusa did not let go.
This made her body turn; her back was facing him and her wrist was pulled up to his mouth "Mhmm smells good" Her eyes widen with a gasp has his free arm wrapped around her stomach pushing her into him. He licked her palm "Hanabusa don't or I will shock you!" but it was too late he bite down on her palm, she gasped at him "Hanabusa!" her face was turning red "S-Stop…!" still holding her in an intimate way he began to drink from her palm, he felt a slight shock from her magic but he didn't budge.
She felt suddenly weak, Hanabusa was drinking from her too much to fast "H-Hanabusa…. S-Stop.." he was humming drinking form her, enjoying to much of it to notices he was taking too much from her, he was getting aroused from feeding off her 'so good' he pulled her more into him has she can feel something poking her making her eyes widen 'is he getting hard?!'
Not hearing running footsteps "Enough Vampire!" a girl's voice made him actually stop and look to see a Sabrina standing there in her human from besides them, with her leg up. Her leg came down hard with the Martial move called the Axe Kick.
Her leg came hard down on his shoulders, with such magical force and strength he went down on the ground with a loud impact echoing in the air causing an impact creator to form from his body.
Jess had collapsed from slight blood lose; Sabrina rushed over to her "Lady Jess!" Jess was passed out. Sabrina bites her lip growling , she turned to Hanabusa who got up with a groan "Ow what the fuck.. my arm I think it's broken…" "You foul vampire! How dare you bite Lady Jess!" Hanabusa looked at Sabrina, he has never seen her in her human form before "Wait who are you?" then he notices the black tail, the black cat ears and thoughs glowing cat purple eyes. His eyes widen "No you can't be… Sabrina..?" Sabrina hissed at him "you will pay for touching her with your fangs!"
Then hearing a slight flapping of wings and sees some white feathers. They both turned to the right to see Frank, in a tuxedo. Sabrina's ears perked up "Frank! It is Jess! This foul vampire feed from her!"
Frank stepped over to Jess and knelled, Hanabusa's eyes were on Frank know. 'something is off about him… his human but something is off….'
Frank sighs softly "She's asleep, she would have to feed" then he stood up "Hello Kaname" he grinned. Hanabusa gasped from Kaname's sudden appearance right next to him. "Lord Kaname…"
Kaname ignored Hanabusa but chuckled at Frank "Frank, you haven't aged one bit must be that half angel in you" Hanabusa's eyes widen "Half angel…"
Frank laughed "Well then, should I punish him for touching her" has a bright appeared making them cover their eyes. Has the light deemed Frank was holding a golden spear "or would you?" he chuckled.
Hanabusa was shaking he did not dare to look at Kaname because he feared it would be his last. Kaname glanced at Hanabusa and then back at Frank and chuckled "Oh I will Frank" Frank chuckled "Good or I would have killed with my spear of destiny. Given to me by my mother, the arch angel Uriel" he smiled at them has his spear disappeared in a light.
He turned to Jess leaning down picking her up bridal style and walked off with her with Sabrina next to him.
Hanabusa gulped, he would feel Kaname's anger "Aido" Hanabusa jumped "Yes!" he squeaked out but gasped when Kaname grabbed his hair and moved his head to the side "Your punishment is that I take ever last drop you took from Jess" Hanabusa's eyes widen has Kaname's fangs went through his neck deep and it hurt like hell which made him do a silent dry scream.
'tick tock, tick, tick tock'
Jess's eyes fluttered open and slightly hummed sitting up. Looking around she was in her room that was given to her at the headmaster's house 'not in my dorm but at headmaster's house' then she heard voiced from outside her door.
"You should have killed him" it was Sabrina's voice.
"I was going to be, but it was Kaname's punishment to give since that boy is apart of his court" Frank's voice ringed through her ears.
Jess frowned 'Kaname... is gonna punish him..' she looked at her palm. It was already healed, she sighed 'I guess my magic has been on the fritz lately…' "You alright?" her eyes widen and looked up to see the double window was wide open and there stood Zach Meyers. He is extremely handsome and elegant individual with scarlet-red eyes and jet-black hair. She smiled sweetly at him "Zach" he stepped to her and sat down next to her "you know why I'm here?" Jess nodded looking down at her hands. Zach smiled and padded her head.
