Inuyasha's Group
The two rested in a forest and Kikyo sat in a meditative stance while Naruto hugged his Basculus like a teddy bear.
Kikyo decided to be bold for once and inquired. "My Lord, please let me in. What did your fellow god and goddess do to make you so angry? Whatever they did to you, I can see it has been eating you up inside."
Naruto spat in a low tone. "Sasuke and Sakura, the traitor and the fan girl...those two were my former teammates then one decided to betray the village we were in by joining the enemy to gain power to defeat his power in a quest for revenge. The other? She continuously hit me and belittled me every time I want to be affectionate with her. No matter how many times I saved her life or fulfilled my lifelong promise to return her precious Sasuke to her. She didn't change her habits towards me."
Kikyo remarked. "Sasuke redeemed himself by participating in the war your people are in and is one of the key players in ending it. The other gods told me this and how he ascended to godhood by traveling all over the world for redemption and wisdom. For Sakura, her healing powers saved hundreds of lives."
Naruto scoffed. "You may think that way and what you said was true. But to travel the world to 'redeem' yourself? Don't make me laugh Kikyo. That man rammed a chidori through my chest TWICE I might add. He's hardly my rival and he's nothing but a poor excuse of a person seeking 'wisdom' around the world. He's at his limits and couldn't break through them."
Kikyo heard all of her god's cold words and said. "And Sakura?"
Naruto rolled his eyes and said. "She's still the weak and insecure fan girl who couldn't do anything to save her life because she came from civilian stock. It took missions, an invasion and then training from our leader to snap her out of it. She refused to believe that Sasuke was a traitor despite evidence to the contrary, I am not acknowledging her ascension to godhood and I'm not doing it again now."
Kikyo winced at that and said sadly. "I must have opened a wound from your past my Lord. I apologize for my curiosity."
Naruto waved it off. "It's fine. I just needed to tell it to someone I suppose." Then he looked at Kikyo. "Now that I told you about them and saw what I had done to them, do you hate me now? Do you despise me?"
Kikyo vehemently shook her head. "No Lord Naruto. I can sympathize with you because I feel some measure of hate for Inuyasha despite it being misplaced. But now I have a new reason in the form of you to keep on living. I will stay with you and I will care for your needs. I am willing to serve you in any way I'm able."
"Thank you Kikyo. To hear you say that means plenty to me. I assure you that your service to me is not wasted and I will make sure you are rewarded for this. For now, let us rest." Naruto smiled at her and they went to a meditative sleep.
They woke up and they walked to a village where Kikyo heard a male voice call out to her. "Kikyo?"
She turned around and saw the old flame of hers, Inuyasha and his companions.
Naruto saw it too. "Friends of yours?"
"An old lover of mine before my untimely death and my reincarnation."
"Judging by the sailor uniform, I'm guessing that she's not from around here." Naruto commented, looking at that girl.
"Say, Kikyo...who is that man beside you?" Inuyasha asked.
"Naruto Uzumaki. Pleased to make your acquaintance. As you can see, Kikyo serves me now as she had made a covenant with me." Naruto answered.
Then the monk next to them uncharacteristically shouted. "OH! WHAT A HOLY MAN!"
Naruto raised an eyebrow at the monk and asked him politely. "What do you want from me?"
The monk kneeled. "Lord Inari, my name is Miroku. Like lady Kikyo, I believe in this realm's gods. Is there anything you want to ask me?"
"Yes. Can you stand up now? And call me Naruto. I'm merely reincarnated as Inari." Naruto bluntly said. Miroku did so.
The Fox child named Shippo said in wonder. "So you're a god? That is so cool!"
"Well yes, it is." Naruto sighed.
The girl in sailor uniform asked. "So what are you guys doing here?"
Naruto replied. "We were just coming here to rest." Kikyo nodded to that.
Then a woman wearing traveling kimono offered, though Naruto could sense she is wearing an armor suit underneath. "Maybe you could join us? We could use the pleasant company of a god."
"We will. After Kikyo and I have rested, we shall accompany you." Naruto replied then looked at Kikyo. "Right, Kikyo?"
"Yes...as my lord wishes..." Kikyo said hesitantly.
Once they've rested, Naruto noticed that Shippo is constantly harassing Inuyasha, causing a sit from the girl in sailor uniform named Kagome. He did see the rosary on Inuaysha's neck activating before plummeting Inuyasha to the ground.
Now, Shippo was poking fun at Inuyasha by telling him that Kikyo was in one direction and the demon was fooled. He got angry at Shippo and was 'sit' again.
Three more times of Shippo teasing Inuyasha before Naruto had enough. "That's enough of that, the two of you!" He glared at Shippo. "Shippo, stop baiting Inuyasha! Show him some respect! Kagome, give Inuyasha rest from your 'sits'!"
Kagome scoffed and shot back. "Why should I? He was going to hit Shippo here!"
Naruto turned to Inuyasha and asked. "What did Shippo say to make you angry?"
Inuyasha angrily answered. "That brat was basically teasing me about a love triangle between Kikyo and Kagome and threatened to tell her to sit me to death if I choose to go with Kikyo! He even mocked me for being a thick headed idiot for not knowing how to love someone and that Miroku knows love better than me!"
Naruto narrowed his eyes and asked Shippo. "Is this true?"
Shippo couldn't answer and ran behind Kagome who tried to speak up for him. "There's no need to ask him! I'm just disciplining Inuyasha!"
"And I'm not asking you! I'm asking Shippo! If he's so confident, he can tell me himself. Shippo, is what Inuyasha said true?" Naruto fired back.
When Shippo didn't answer, Naruto shouted. "Is what he said true?! My patience is wearing thin!"
Shippo whimpered out. "No..."
Naruto narrowed his eyes further at this weak reply. Then he asked Kikyo. "You can't lie to me since we are bonded together. Now tell me, are Inuyasha's accusations true?"
Kikyo glanced at Kagome who glared at her with a 'don't you dare tell him' look but her lord's wishes are greater. "Yes, they are true. I overheard the threat he made to Inuyasha and how he mocked Inuyasha with this love triangle between me and my reincarnation and that the monk knows love better than he is."
Naruto nodded then he glared at Shippo who was behind Kagome and accused the little Fox child. "So you were provoking Inuyasha so that Kagome could sit him when goes off didn't you!? This is bullying! You are a child and you should know better than to keep on antagonizing Inuyasha just so he could be put down like a dog!"
Feeling Shippo shiver behind her, Kagome shouted in his defense. "Lord Naruto, please! You're scaring him!"
Naruto fired back. "As he should be, little girl! He refused to tell me the truth and lied to me! He wanted you to punish an innocent half-demon for losing his temper! If it were the other way around, you would be having a nasty fit about it!" Kagome glared at him even though it was true.
Kikyo interjected. "I know I might be speaking out of line my Lord. But perhaps Shippo wasn't wrong in his bullying. Inuyasha did indeed got mad at a little child."
Naruto nodded. "You may have a point. Inuyasha will be punished but to a lesser extent. Kikyo, you are to accompany him and never let him leave the group. If he so much as runs away or tries to hit someone with that little fuse of a temper of his, you have my permission to subdue him." Kikyo bowed then left.
Naruto turned to glare at Shippo. "As for you, little brat...I have a fitting punishment for you lying to me..."
Kagome protested at him. "He's only a child! Punishing him won't do anything!" Trying to be a loving and caring mother to Shippo.
"Punishments are made to ensure naughty children don't do stupid things and misbehave again! Like lying or keeping the truth from someone! My punishment for you is to have you do an exercise regimen from morning to evening! !" Naruto demanded with both looking uncomfortable at this.
Via mental link, Naruto ordered Kikyo. "Find that woman named Sango, was it? And tell her to come to me."
The young woman named Sango did so and Naruto instantly whisper-shouts her. "You are to give Shippo here an exercise regimen tomorrow morning. And if he so much as whines about it, tie him up to a post and gag him!"
Sango hesitated for a bit then nodded.
"It's okay Shippo. Sango won't push you too hard." Kagome tried to assure the child then told Sango. "Go easy on him please."
Sango pointed out. "My father made sure not to pull any punches on me or my brother when we were training for good reasons. I have no intention of changing that now for you or Shippo."
Naruto said. "Good woman. You have been raised from good stock. My decision here is final. Everyone, get some rest."
Inuyasha stood up from his downed position then walked to Naruto. "Thank you my lord for taking it upon yourself for believing me."
Naruto nodded. "You are welcome. You're still going to be punished by having Kikyo keep an eye on you so you don't run away and hurt someone in that short temper of yours."
Inuyasha shrugged. "I'd rather take that than being sit all the time I guess."
The next morning was tiring for Shippo. Sango woke him up and had him jog for ten miles. Shippo complained about it but Sango pointed out that it was a god who ordered it and it cannot be ignored. She had him exercising after lunch and kept complaining about it but Sango's next sentence made him shut up.
"If you've done your training as much as you teased Inuyasha, we would have defeated Naraku by now."
Shippo whined about being tired? Ignored by Sango. Complained about sore legs? Five minutes break and another one. Two more complaints and Sango had enough as she tied Shippo to a post and gagged him before leaving him there for the rest of the afternoon.
By the end of the day, Shippo's entire body was completely sore and tired. His punishment having been thorough. Kagome wanted to protest the punishment but there wasn't much she could do against a god.
The next day, the group was invited by an old man named Hiroshi into his home where Inuyasha saw flashbacks of his past, something Naruto took notice as he remembered going back into the past and seeing Inuyasha's childhood.
They were eating a meal together when Inuyasha was unusually quiet. Kikyo decided to ask out of the blue to her god. "May I ask why you decided to look after Inuyasha and defend him?"
Naruto said without care that others are listening. "Because I see myself in him during my mortal years."
Everybody perked up and looked at him. "During my childhood life, I was abused,cut, stabbed, poisoned, burned and all the other horrible things no man would do to a child. Do you know why? Because I had a demon sealed inside me and the people who were victims decided to take it out on me. It's jailor."
He continued. "I met the first girl who liked me for me which is the best day of my life. But it abruptly ended when the villagers in my village butchered her simply because she liked me."
Naruto's eyes hardened as he remembered. "In a rage, I killed them all. Every single man and woman who murdered an innocent girl because she was different. What's even worse is that the authorities -well some of them- pinned her death on me and would've had me executed had it not been for some key friends of mine I made growing up standing up for me and protested. I exiled myself and thanked my friends for this."
Naruto continued. "I joined a terrorist organization to spite my village. They nearly succeeded in tearing the demon out of me but someone with the red eyes turned the most bloodthirsty of its members against their more better minded ones and I escaped, leaving the organization to tear itself apart. I retired and served as a blacksmith while the rest of the villages went to a world war. I know not the details but it seems that they won. I don't know how I ascended to godhood but I'm willing to assume that the gods think that I deserved better for the hell that the people of my village put me through and assigned an office for my talents."
Naruto looked at Inuyasha who like many other had been listening. "You and I are somewhat alike. Let me tell you, you and your mother were banished by your brother from their homelands. You settled down in a human village but the villagers refused to accept you because you were half-demon." Inuyasha stiffened at this and nodded in confirmation.
Kagome noticed it and said. "I think that you should stop there, Lord Naruto."
Naruto firmly replied. "No, Kagome. This needs to be brought out for everybody to hear. Your mother was killed when the house she was on burned by spiteful villagers led by the elder's son. You went mad with rage Inuyasha and you slaughtered every villager down to the last man. The only person spared your fury was that old man who provided us a home because he shown you and your mother kindness by letting you stay and playing with you. Tell everyone here if I'm wrong."
Inuyasha looked down from his sitting position and quietly answered. "Everyone, what he said is true. My mother did die and I killed those people who murdered her. Do any of you hate me?"
Sango was the first to say, vehemently shaking her head. "How can you say that? We're your friends and what you've been through, we would do the same in a heartbeat."
Miroku sighed and said. "I can't believe I'm saying this but I respect you Inuyasha, in more ways than you know."
Shippo looked regretful and stuttered out. "I can't believe you had a life like that! I'm glad you killed those villagers and I promise that I'll be respectful to you from now on!" His tears spilled but he didn't bother cleaning them, feeling proud of them instead.
Kikyo said with sympathy. "I had no idea about your life Inuyasha. I've always know that half demons are despised by both races but to kill your mother out of spite for you? I am shocked and angry beyond any curses. I promise I will not send you to hell with me as you have suffered enough."
Inuyasha and Naruto looked at Kagome. The latter commented. "She is weighing whether you are a monster or a person. Having a mental war with herself. Give her time, maybe she'll come around maybe she won't."
Inuyasha said. "I'm actually feeling better having my story told to you guys. Let's eat!"
Everyone ate their meals...only to hear an huge blast of wind erupt outside of the house.

I realize that I didn't add Kilala in this story. Just imagine she went along with her mistress, Sango.
