Chapter 4
They had gotten a lucky few weeks, the Carrows had seemed to be much more tolerable than they had been before. It seemed as if there was something going on, as if they were almost distracted. Though, of course that didn't last long at all.
Storm had been given another detention, having scoffed too loudly at one of their absurd insinuations. Ginny too had been unable to control herself and had landed herself right along side the younger woman. Originally, after finding out they'd be serving their detention with Hagrid in the forbidden forest they figured they'd gotten off lightly.
It was only as they trudged across the grounds on the Friday night as the moon was rising they realised how wrong they were. The full moon was making its ascent over the castle, flooding the grounds around it in an eerie light. An unsettled feeling had spread itself across Storm's shoulders as she flicked her dark stare towards her companion.
Ginny seemed to be walking a little closer than normal, their shoulders brushing together as they made their way towards Hagrid's with haste. She seemed to be watching their surroundings intensely, unable to shake the feeling of unease. Her hand reaching out to tug at the sleeve of Storm's jacket as she moved a little closer to the taller woman.
"Of course they're sending us into the forbidden forest during a full moon" She gripped, her voice tense as she shook her head in disbelief. "I'm sure they're hoping neither of us actually come back" She spoke again a little tersely, and Storm noted then she already had her wand at the ready in the other hand.
"Now who's the dramatic one?" Storm quipped then, trying to keep the mood as light as possible. "Are you worried we can't protect ourselves?" She quizzed then, pulling Ginny's attention back to her then as they finally arrived at Hagrid's. The large man already sat outside waiting for them.
"I don't know if I can protect us both is all" Ginny fired back, an eyebrow raised as she teased her best friend. Dropping the younger woman's sleeve as they approached their teacher. Waiting to see what it might actually be that they're doing.
"I am wounded, truly!" Storm laughed then, unable to contain it. It wouldn't be too bad, after all she doubted even during this horrific excuse for a school year there would be werewolves on the grounds. It not really ever being something they'd heard of either before or after lupin.
Hagrid seemed to stand then, his crossbow already held to attention. Not doing much at all to ease the tension that had developed as soon as they had noted the state of the moon. "Are ye ready?" He quizzed gruffly, though never fully turning his attention to them both. Seemingly entirely preoccupied.
"As ready as we're ever going to be" Ginny muttered. Her shoulders tensing more by the second as she considered Hagrid and his apparel. "Dare I ask what we're actually doing out here?" She questioned then as they began their slow walk towards the looming forest. It's wall of tree's thick and entirely imposing as they neared.
"We are patrolling the grounds, there have been some unusual activity especially in the forest and we're to investigate" Hagrid spoke, his voice gruff and loud. Though there seemed to be something underlying. There wasn't a calmness that normally came with the man.
"Well, we do love a bit of unusual activity" Storm quipped, moving to step through and into the trees. Twigs snapping underfoot as she ducked around a large oak tree. It's trunk dwarfing her entirely as coal like eyes scanned the expanse of darkness that engulfed them completely.
Her gaze lingered on Ginny who's pale skin and delicate features seemed to be illuminated in the darkness. Her hair was braided, and she wore a hat to keep her ears warm. The nights had grown much colder as they embarked on the end of October. Her hazel eyes infinite pools as they seemed to catch Storm's own, a small smile playing on pink lips as the redhead caught up to her.
They paused to allow Hagrid to continue in front of them, still quiet as he seemed to focus intensely on what might be lurking hidden in shadow. Storm ducked then to whisper, her voice only for her companion. "I think we'll need some warming up when we get back to the castle" She spoke finally, moving to lean in a little to the redheads side for just a moment before stepping over a large tree branch.
"Are you really thinking about that right now?" Ginny spoke, her eyebrows raised as she laughed a little at the insinuation. The topic allowing her to forget about exactly what they were doing for just a moment.
"I always think about that" Storm admitted boldly with a shrug, moving to jump up onto a rock to see if she could get a better view of their surroundings. Though, it was almost entirely impossible as they seemed to be getting further into the forest the trees seemed to be getting closer together.
"Why am I not surprised?" Ginny questioned as she rounded the bolder Storm was still stood on. Her hazel eyes flicking up to watch the taller woman linger for a moment before leaping off to land with a thud on the forest floor. Shoving her hands deep into her pockets of her jeans as she turned to smirk at the redhead.
A rustling sound nearby caught their attention, and all three froze in their tracks. The noise coming from somewhere behind them. Hagrid moved quicker than Storm had ever seen before, whipping round to train his crossbow on the spot the noise had seemed to come from.
Ginny too had pulled her wand, illuminating the tip to try and see what might have caused the sound. Storm had stepped slightly closer to the redhead, her hackles rising and ready to defend them at any given moment.
Another rustle had them holding their breaths, waiting to seem what might jump out at them. A moment later a small hare was bounding through the clearing before disappearing down a small rabbit hole at the base of one of the ancient trees. Followed quickly by another, and then one more before the area grew quiet again entirely.
"Just a few rabbits" Ginny muttered, lowering her wand ever so slightly though she kept the tip illuminated. She seemed to breath out then, exhaling deeply as her breath plumed out in front of her. Her hazel eyes flicking between both Storm and Hagrid himself.
"Aye, lets keep movin' shall we" Hagrid spoke, his voice a little more of a grumble as his own dark eyes took in the area. Almost as if he wasn't entirely convinced it was just the rabbits that had been making the noise.
The rest of their scout around the forest seemed to go quite quickly, a little uneventfully. Something they had both shrugged off as a bit of an anticlimax. Soon they were parting ways with Hagrid at his hut, the moon having ascended high in the sky now. Looming above them as they made their way back towards the castle.
They seemed to joke and laugh between themselves. Making fun of how startled they had been by the little furry creatures at the start of their journey through the forest. "I swear each and every one of us jumped a mile as soon as those trees rustled the first time"Storm laughed, shaking her head as she rubbed the back of her neck a little tiredly.
It was late now, and they'd had a full day of classes even before this. "Speak for yourself, I was absolutely fine" Ginny stated a little arrogantly, "Scaredy-cat" She teased as she moved to bump herself into Storm's side.
Storm laughed again, though the noise seemed to die in her throat as a chilling howl split through the night air. Her eyes widened as she snapped to gape wide eyed and shocked at the redhead who seemed to be regarding her with the same expression. Shock evident even in the dark, stretched across her own sharp features.
Another howl, much closer this time. The noise snapping them both into action and Storm twisted almost violently to examine the path they had been following alone from Hagrid's hut. Eyes widening in horror as a beastly silhouette became visible, hurtling towards them at speed unrivalled by anything human.
"Ginny! Run!" Storm shrieked then, jumping into action as she moved to shove her best friend towards the castle, the redhead already firing spells from the tip of her wand.
"There is no time to run!" She yelled back, her voice strong as she held her ground. Unwavering as she focussed all of her energy on incapacitating the beast that had slowed under her barrage of spells, but not once stopping. Fangs visible clearly glowing bright in the light from the moon as the creature snarled. Finally coming to a stop standing on hind legs, tall and gangly. Sinewy muscles flexing under thin, furry skin.
It looked almost as if it were weighing them up, and they both froze under the intensity of it's bloodthirsty stare. It lowered itself to the ground then, creeping closer as if doing nothing but stalking it's pray. Storm could hear Ginny's heavy breathing, her own matching it as her heart thundered violently in her chest.
Storm knew then she had no choice, she had no other option. She would have to reveal the secret she had held so close to her chest for so long. Not even the redhead she cared so deeply for knew about her ability. She braced herself for what might come, for what was about to happen as she stepped back slightly. With a heavy breath she steeled her resolve and changed. Her own muscles stretching and morphing until there was nothing human left of her body.
Normally dark eyes were now glowing red as her own fangs stretched past her bottom lip as she too took on a wolf like form. Standing tall behind the redhead still throwing spells from her wand, her chest heaving as nostrils flared to take in the night air. Pointed ears stood straight up and long thick fur blew in the slight breeze as she gave in to the freedom shifting gave her.
An enraged roar echoed into the night air as the beast considered it's new competition, eyes firmly trained on her. No longer was it stalking, hunting two young women. It had stumbled unknowingly onto something so entirely different. Storm could smell the rage in the air as it realised this wouldn't be as simple as some dinner.
Her own deep howl billowed out from her chest with force, shaking the very ground she was stood on as she pawed the ground underfoot. Noting out of the corner of her eye that Ginny had turned to investigate the noise, hazel eyes growing wide as she took in the beast standing strong where her best friend once was. Her own gaze meeting Storm's for a brief moment of recognition before the shapeshifter was leaping into action.
Tight, tense muscles propelling her huge wolf like body towards the werewolf now racing towards them with renewed vigour. Their bodies colliding solidly mid air as they began fighting, brutal blows landing as soon as they had come close enough. The werewolf slightly smaller than Storm herself in her new form, allowing the Shifter to quickly overpower it.
Snarls and yelps filled the air as they ripped at each other. Strong jaws sinking sharp teeth into flesh, tearing fur and muscle away with each bite. Claws dragging at anything they could reach as they fought for victory. Storm knowing there was no choice, she had to subdue this beast otherwise there would be untold consequences for the pair of them.
She took the opportunity to swipe at the back of a leg, bringing the beast down to it's knees as she flexed and dug claws into it's neck. Allowing Rage to consume her entirely as she fought, ignoring the way her body was stinging and throbbing in places where she had lost flesh to razor like claws and teeth. Ignoring the way blood was already matting her fur, and stinging her eyes as she slammed the smaller wolf down into the floor before springing away from it's stunned form.
A shot of light flew passed her, aimed well directly at the beast struggling to regain its composure. Ginny's voice loud and strong as she easily finished the job. Leaving the creature petrified and unconscious upon the flagstone path they had been following.
It was as if all the energy Storm had welled within her body had been sapped all at once and she found herself turning towards the woman she had sought solace from for weeks now. Her body changing, and growing smaller as she shifted herself back to the only form Ginny knew. Her knees hitting the floor solidly as she too collapsed, blood already dripping from the few huge gashes and missing chunks left from the wolf's rage.
"Storm!" Came Ginny's voice as the shifter rolled onto her back, her clothes ripped to shreds allowing the cold night air in to lick at her sweat-slick skin. The shorter woman dropping down beside her, though where Storm had expected to see anger, all she saw was curiosity written across Ginny's features. "What on earth? Since when were you cool enough to be an animegus?" Ginny questioned, though her voice was tense.
"I'm far cooler than an animegus" Storm huffed, though the small smirk that pulled at her lips betrayed her. "I'm a shapeshifter, and it's a bloody good job I am because that bastard would have had us for dinner" She muttered again with a small snort in the way of a laugh as she looked down at herself, lifting her head from the stone floor just briefly before letting it fall back with a thud.
"Speak for yourself, I had it handled" Ginny stated, relief flooding her tone as she examined her best friend a little obviously. "We need to get you to Madam Pomphrey, you've been torn to shreds and we have quidditch tomorrow" she stated simply a little bit easily considering the situation, taking comfort in the fact that Storm was making jokes. Moving to pull the younger witch up by the shoulder she deemed the most intact.
"We can't!" Storm almost shrieked, pulling herself out of the redheads grip hastily to fall back to the floor. "They'll want to know how I escaped the infection when I don't turn next full moon" She stated, her bottom lip protruding out in a petulant pout. She moved to push herself from the ground slowly, a little shakily as all the blood drained from her head.
"I'll be fine for quidditch tomorrow, we have ditany in the dorm" she added a little bit quieter as she swayed on her feet. "You can play nurse again, maybe we can get you a little outfit for next time" She spoke with a breathy laugh, shaking her head a little bit.
"Not in a million years." The redhead laughed then, elated by their small victory though a little shaken by the turn of events. Ginny seemed to catch her then, ensuring she did not fall. Hands splayed out against tense stomach muscles for just a moment to steady her before sliding round to grip at Storm's side as the taller woman threw an arm around her shoulders to help steady herself. Both taking one last look at the fallen beast left forgotten behind them before making their way slowly to the castle.
"He must have been following us, waiting for Hagrid to go in" Ginny spoke then, "I bet he's part of Greyback's gang, they have a thing for turning children. Lupin told us" She added, her voice low and dangerous as she considered what might have actually happened if Storm hadn't had such a talent in her back pocket.
"Well, whatever he is he sure didn't expect what he got" Storm smirked again, her face pale even in the dim light. "He's lucky a dragon would have brought too much attention to us, otherwise we'd have BBQ k9" She joked, flicking a forked tongue out past lips split by a wide grin.
The action caused the redhead to pause in her tracks, regarding her with thinly veiled surprise. "Can you really do that?" She questioned, her voice laced with disbelief as she resumed their slow walk back up to the castle.
"Yup!" Storm stated simply, a shrug taking her sore shoulders. The movement a little bit stiff as overworked muscles flexed. "I can change into anything alive, and I can chose which bits I want to change into what" She added in explanation, shifting her ears so they resembled that of her wolf form and her eyes so they became glowing beacons in the dark once again.
"Does that mean you can change into people too?" Ginny questioned, though her eyes had traveled downwards. An eyebrow raised curiously for just a moment as she tried to convey the true meaning behind her question.
"I have a willy week every month so I don't have to deal with certain cycles… and you've never noticed" Storm stated simply, laughing as she watched the redhead visibly replay every potential encounter in her mind.
"It must not be very big if I've never noticed before" Ginny quipped, teasing her best friend so easily as she regained her composure. Her mind splitting itself into multiple different directions as she considered what Storm had said in the shower weeks before.
"Oh shut up" Storm laughed "It's in proportion to everything else" She added, splaying a large hand out as if to make a point. Watching as Ginny considered what that might actually mean.
"I really don't believe you, it would have been obvious if that was the case" She added quickly, her voice light as she watched Storm struggle to take the first few steps up to Gryffindor tower. The mood easing considerably as they wandered through the deserted halls within the safety of the castle.
"Sorry, I didn't realise you often stare at my crotch in search for a dick?" Storm quipped a little arrogantly, her words a little vulgar as she addressed the situation head on. "Besides, I can't believe you've just found out I can shift into absolutely anything and you're most concerned with whether or not I may or may not be able to have a penis" She added, her voice airy as she huffed taking the steps one at a time.
Noting the uncomfortable stretching of a gash across the back of her thigh. Her jeans torn, allowing sticky red blood to trickle down the denim. Leaving drips of blood to trail behind them as they went slowly.
"Well, I'm not really into having a pet." Ginny quipped, allowing Storm to put most of her weight on her as they trudged up the steps. "This explains why you're so keen on tummy rubs though" She laughed, moving to teasingly rub the palm of her hand across Storm's lower stomach as if making her point.
"Less of the shifter thing, more of the hot redhead doing the rubbing thing" Storm laughed out loud then, the noise carrying down the steps as she did so. Watching as Ginny's cheeks flushed crimson at the boldness of Storm's words. Her hazel eyes flicking up in shock as she was once again caught slightly off guard.
"Careful, don't let that head get too big. You wont fit through the portrait hole" Storm teased again, laughing as she spoke the password. "Besides, you weren't complaining fifteen minutes ago when you weren't getting mauled by a werewolf. You're welcome by the way" She spoke again, her voice hushed as Ginny helped her through the portrait hole.
"I didn't ask you to jump in and get yourself shredded, we could have done it with magic" Ginny added with a sigh, pulling the Shifter up towards their dorm room. The common room completely empty once again as they returned from their detention. Though, neither had expected anything different.
"He was coming in hot, and I didn't even really think about anything other than keeping you safe" Storm spoke honestly, quietly once again. "Not that I don't think you can handle yourself, because honestly you're a little scary sometimes." She added as an afterthought as she finally stepped through into their dorm, moving away from the redhead in order to shrug her jacket off to really get a look at what was underneath.
Ginny was a little bit lost for what to say, her heart clenching in her chest as she considered the taller woman's words. Moving to shrug her own outerwear off as light eyes roamed Storm's body. A large tear at her shoulder leaking blood, and another at her side visible through tears in her clothes. There was the tear across the back of her thigh also and Ginny wondered for a moment how she was still standing.
"You just wanted an excuse to play the hero card again, either that or you wanted a sympathy shag" Ginny quipped, trying her best to bring the humour back into their conversation. Though, her features never really changed. She was watching the Shifter intensely as she rummaged through the drawers in between their beds in search for ditany.
"You can give me a sympathy shag if you want to, I know how much you love it when I'm injured and bleeding. I swear we should really consider that nurses outfit." Storm laughed again, finally pulling a vial out of the desk a triumphant smirk tugging at her lips as she turned to hold it out to the redhead.
"You're so gross" Ginny laughed as she moved across the room to take the potion from Storm. Her light eyes flicking across her pale "Don't think you're getting out of showing me that particular shift either. I want to see if you're over exaggerating there as you usually do" She added as she helped the shifter shrug off her t-shirt.
The fabric leaving dark crimson stained skin visible to her entirely in the dim light of the moon. The red streaks and open gashes making Storm's skin look even paler than normal. Teeth and claw marks littered across Storm's body as she pushed her jeans down her legs. Leaving her clad in only her a workout bra and pair of too large boxers. "Obviously that's still what you're thinking about, honestly." Storm tutted, though she seemed to pale a little as she took in the state of her injuries, the remaining colour leaving her cheeks and lips.
"Well, it's the most interesting development so far." Ginny added as she moved to drip the healing liquid into the gash across Storm's thigh. Watching as the Shifter winced when the skin began to knit itself back together. The blood that had been leaking out in sticky streams stopping after a moment, allowing Storm to flop back down onto her bed.
"If you play your cards right, I might let you see it." Storm teased a little breathlessly as Ginny began dripping the potion into the wounds on her shoulder and side. Sighing with relief as the worst of the injuries repaired themselves. The pain subsiding substantially as she flopped back onto the bed, watching as Ginny put the vial down. Her wand trained on Storm herself in order to clean up all the blood.
"If you let me see it I might play my cards right" The redhead retorted, watching as Storm manoeuvred herself further onto the bed, making room for her best friend to climb in whenever she was ready. Her light eyes bright with something Storm wasn't really able to place as she watched Ginny sort her things briefly before climbing into the bunk with her. Shutting the privacy curtains around them before placing a silencing charm on the fabric.
The older woman knowingly throwing a leg over Storm's hips in order to straddle her thighs a little suggestively. Her strong quidditch worked hands splaying out against the younger woman's chest as Storm raised an eyebrow in question. Of course, Storm would never say no when it came to Ginny. She never had been able to and she figured secretly that's why they got on so well.
Storm was a force to be reckoned with, a nightmare in her own rights and she never did anything she didn't want to do. But when Ginny asked, she did. She always had.
"We've literally just been attacked by a werewolf, you've just found out I'm a shapeshifter and you still want to sleep with me?" Storm questioned seriously then, watching as the redhead relieved herself of her own t-shirt. Keen eyes trained on her best friend as alabaster skin slowly became available to her gaze.
They had done this so many times before, their weeks after the first time consisting of a nightly ritual of doing this now. Only a few nights a week did they go without at least sleeping in the same bed. Something Storm had settled into quite quickly, taking so much comfort in Ginny's presence.
"Well, I don't know about you but I don't really feel like sleeping right now. I'm still a little bit shaken after the whole ordeal and honestly this works really well as a go to stress relief." Their redhead spoke with a roll of her eyes, moving to press her lips to the hinge of Storm's jaw as the younger woman remained a little unsure still.
She hadn't ever told anyone she was a shifter, let alone show them such an intimate part of herself. It wasn't something she had really intended to do either, not that she regretted the decision to shift in order to protect them both or lacked trust in the redhead still sat on her thighs.
"Nobody's ever seen it before" Storm muttered quietly before moving a little where she was laying. Calmly pulling herself up the headboard to lean against it. The redhead lifting up a little to let her move in the way she wanted to. Light hazel eyes flickering from Storm's face to where the appendage would be if Storm shifted.
The younger woman's baggy boxers slipping down her hips a little as she moved herself, shutting her eyes for a moment as she steeled her resolve for the second time that night. If anyone would ask her, she'd definitely say the werewolf was much less terrifying. But as dark eyes opened once again, and she took in the warm, curious expression the redhead was wearing she knew there wasn't really much to worry about.
With a final nod she shifted that particular part, her own eyes falling to the obvious change underneath the checkered fabric of her shorts still hiding her modesty. The bulge now evident under her clothing as she moved to watch Ginny's expression drop. The redhead's jaw hanging open as her stare fixed to the bulge in her best friends shorts.
"I can't believe you can actually do that" Ginny spoke then, moving to drag her fingertips down the sides of Storm's stomach. Watching as thick muscle quivered under the gentle touch, enjoying the way the Shifter's face twisted up as she tried to control the arousal that particular type of touch invoked.
"I told you I don't lie when it comes to things that really matter" She spoke quietly, moving to lean forward and press her lips to Ginny's jaw still hinged in shock. "I still think being able to turn into a dragon is better. Sometimes I wish I could shift and eat the Carrows all in one bite" She added as an afterthought, laughing quietly into the older woman's ear.
"Well, now you're speaking my language" Ginny laughed with her, moving to trail her fingers up the taller woman's chest. Moving to capture Storm's slightly plump bottom lip between her own. Nibbling at the flesh there before sliding her tongue over it gently. Earning a quiet whimper from the dark haired witch.
She noted then some of the tension leaving the taller witch's body as Storm moved to wrap her strong arms around Ginny's waist. Pulling them flush together as she moved to capture the older woman's lips with her own in a crushing kiss. Skin still cold from being out in the night air pressed to equally clammy skin.
Storm's excitement growing more and more evident the longer it went on for. The redhead grinding herself down into Storm's lap, feeding the ever growing excitement with new friction. The curiosity of exactly what came with this new development building the more Storm's excitement became evident.
The appendage growing hard, Storm's breathing growing more and more laboured as she moved to grind herself up into the apex of Ginny's thighs. Digging her fingertips into fleshy butt cheeks, holding fast to the shorter witch. Gasping a little as Ginny snaked a quidditch calloused hand between their bodies, wasting no time with pleasantries as she moved straight past the elastic at Storm's waistband. Gripping hard at the shaft that had become impossibly stiff.
"Bloody hell" Storm whimpered, her voice horse as she pulled away in shock. A grumbled moan dripping from her lips as her eyes shut tight. The sensation almost entirely overwhelming.
Before she could take stock of the situation, Ginny was sitting back on her heels. Pulling Storm's boxers down with her quickly as she went. Allowing the stiff shaft to bounce free, unrestricted by the fabric of Storm's underwear. Her light eyes settled on it for a moment before flicking back up to Storm's face.
"I don't believe for a second you hid this for a week every month for however long" She quipped, shaking her head as she watched the way Storm's chest was heaving and falling deeply. Her eyes flicking over pink tinted cheeks, dark eyes hooded impossibly as she smirked a little triumphantly.
Storm had been very right when she had said it was proportionate to the rest of her. The rest of her being much larger than average. She had thought that maybe it would look a little bit out of place, but then Storm wasn't really the most feminine person on the face of the planet.
"Why? Are you just mad you didn't realise sooner?" Storm laughed then, poking fun at the way her best friend was watching her so closely now. "Are you going to just keep staring at it or?" Storm quizzed, an eyebrow raised as she moved a little bit to get slightly more comfortable.
"When you said that you had much more in your back pocket, was this what you meant?" Ginny shot back, an eyebrow raised as she once again wrapped her fingers around the solid shaft. Sliding her hand down to the base of it in an attempt to wipe the smug smirk off Storm's lips.
"Obviously" Storm retorted, though her eyes shut tight and her head dropped back to the headboard with a quiet crack. It didn't seem as if she was too bothered by the impact, and her lips fell open to accommodate another groan as Ginny worked her a little quicker than before. The feeling much better than when she did it for herself.
The sensation proving too much for Storm to take, and she was coming undone at an embarrassingly quick rate. Her stamina proving to be her downfall as she whimpered a quick warning before spilling herself all over her own stomach. Her appendage twitching as translucent liquid erupted from it's tip.
"Storm, I literally touched you for thirty seconds" Ginny laughed then, unable to control herself as she took in her companions beat red features. Poking fun at the younger woman, she knew she could take the mick out of.
"Yes well, I'm the only one who's ever touched it before so cut me some slack" Storm muttered as she caught her breath, moving to grab her wand to clean herself up quickly. Her appendage quickly going soft now that she'd had her release.
Ginny slid off of her lap then allowing her to pull up her boxers in an attempt to protect her modesty, moving to settle beside her. Laying on her side, stroking her fingers down her companions stomach as Storm caught her breath.
"Well, we need to work on that." Ginny stated with an arrogant smirk, moving to pull at Storm's shoulders so the younger woman was laying almost on top of her. The Shifter's own features twisted up in triumph as she considered what the words might actually mean.
"Does that mean you want to actually… you know?" Storm questions, an eyebrow raised as Ginny drug her fingers through dark messy curls, pushing them back away from Storm's still pale face. The redhead noting not for the first time the dark circles that had formed under Storm's eyes.
"Yes, but not tonight. I think we've had enough excitement for tonight" Ginny stated simply, a deep sigh escaping her lips as she watched Storm's features relax and eyes flutter. The younger woman quite clearly exhausted after the days events.
Strong arms wrapped around Storm's shoulders, pulling her larger frame down onto Ginny's own. The younger woman tucking her head under Ginny's chin as she relaxed into the embrace. Ginny's fingers skimming tenderly across strong muscles at Storm's shoulder.
"I bet the Carrows wanted us to be attacked, it's almost like they'd planned it" Storm mumbled, her voice quiet in the darkness of the room.
"I'd put money on it" Ginny smirked then, trailing her fingers up the back of Storm's neck and up into her hair again. Repeating the movement until the younger woman was finally asleep. Her breathing having grown much deeper finally fixing into the realm of slumber.
