Treasure Town, it's filled with many shops and business that its become the central village and go to place for all Agents of MDPF. As such any MDPT going out, were required to go and get the necessary equipment they would all need for their mission to be a success
Which is why we find Team Pokepals in Treasure Town. Although they had all prepared or thought they had everything needed for this mission, both Pika and Leaf were in agreement to at least stock up on the few items they knew would be clearly used up the fastest
Remembering the past missions and how they either used up all the items in their possession or broke them in some case, the rest of the members agreed and split into groups to get things done faster
As such, Chic and Eve found themselves at the Kecleon Shop looking through the various items available. Both youngest had decided on splitting up the work with Chic looking over at the food options and Eve was skimming through the orbs currently on sale
"Hey Eve, which do you think we should go with" Chic asked after seeing Eve drop of her items on the checkout table "Should we go with apples, bananas, gummies, donut or the newest Four-Leaf Cookie?"
Eve tilted her head and looked at all the options available. She sweat dropped after giving herself a headache for doing a 'poke, pokey, mon, moe' (Pokemon version of eeny, meeny, miny, moe) "How about just getting each one. I mean we're still a Gold Rank, so we don't gotta pay for anything just yet"
"You're right... and with this mission being an Ace Rank level mission, we're lucky we don't gotta pay yet. Who knows how much this would all cost without that rule, but we need to make sure we don't go over the limit" Chic agreed as Eve nodded at this and asked the purple Kecleon to help her out, while the normal type helped the green Kecleon count the number of items currently being 'bought'
This was one of the advantages of still being a Gold Rank team, they weren't required to pay for anything they needed for missions. This is due to MDPF rules; Platinum and higher rank teams are required to pay for there necessary items, while Gold and lower ranks aren't due to them not having the experience that the higher leveled ranks do. However there was a limited amount of items they were allowed to get for free for both Silver and Gold Ranks though
Leaf on the other hand, made her way over towards the medical shop. She had just gotten a brand new bigger knapsack for everything they would need for this mission and since she now had more space decided to upgrade her medical kit and if possible some more potions and berries just to be on the safe side
"Ahh Leaf, its been a while my dear! How are you and those teammates of yours doing?" asked the owner, who happened to be Leaf's mentor from outside of MDPF
"It's going good Harmony, how have you and Vines been?" Leaf responded as the Celebi flew down towards her and gave a happy smile
"We're doing great. Business has been blooming as well with more MDPT's going out... speaking of going out, I heard you and your team have been given a mission yourselves"
Leaf nodded slightly "Yes... we are to take over a Ace Rank level mission" she said as non-chalantly as possible, but flinched when she heard the crash from both Harmony and Vines as it seems they had dropped their respected items to the ground
"YOU'RE GOING ON A ACE LEVEL RANK MISSION!?" they both screamed in awe and horror, with Leaf sweat dropping at the situation she had now gotten herself into
While Leaf, Chic and Eve were looking to stock up, Pika and Rio however, both were staring at the ocean scene before them. Pika had told his teammates before leaving how he and Rio were going to be going over the details of the mission... however first he needed to make sure his second in command was fit for duty
"Rio... I know this is hard for you, but are you alright? I mean I lost my parents at a young age so I know what you are going through, but I also know about the relationship between you and your uncle and well..."
"I know... I mean sure we weren't close or anything, but he was still my uncle in the end" the Emanation Pokemon said with a sigh and closed his eyes "He was my only family left and I pushed him away every chance I got... I shouldn't have been like that. He only wanted what was best for me... even when I couldn't see it"
Pika's ears dropped at this as he looked back towards the sun rising "It's pretty, isn't it?" he asked, making Rio open his eyes and look over at his team leader in confusion "I never imagined a sunrise could be so rejuvenating. The sun rises, sets, and rises again... It's only natural that we take that for granted. But the things we take for granted are actually the most important things and they're precious" the yellow mouse concluded and turned to look back at Rio "You may have taken your uncle for granted and as such feel guilty for the time lost and how you acted towards him... you still have a way to make it up to him. Be the Pokemon, no the Agent he knew you would become one day. Honor his memory and I know he would be proud of you. Remember he may be gone, but he'll never be forgotten"
Rio stared at the Agent before him, not realizing he had tears flowing down his face "You're right Pika… he may be gone from my sight but he is never gone from my heart"
Both Agents stood their afterwards, staring once again at the ocean as the sun shined brightly before them and waited for their teammates to return
After a few minutes, Eve, Chick and Leaf all returned with smiles (or in Leaf's case a small smile) on their faces as Pika and Rio walked over towards the trio, with the grass type stepping forwards
"Leader, Second in Command, I'm glad to report that we've gotten all the necessary items and medical equipment needed for our mission" she said, with the two youngest rolling their eyes
Pika nodded, while Rio tried not to laugh at the antics of Chic and Eve "Good, then I guess it's time to say good bye to both MDPF HQ and to Treasure Town"
"Right, the journey starts today after all" Chic said with a wink as the team all took a deep breathe and set out on their mission
A new chapter was about to begin for Team Pokepals, what dangers and adventures will their mission bring?
Author's Note: I am so proud of myself for finally finishing chapter 4! Yes I decided to use Treasure Town as their place to get items and equipment for their mission like in the James Bond movies. Also some new characters were introduced and now the adventure will begin in the next chapter, stay tuned ;)
