Sasuke arrived in the college along with the two girls. He was determined to find out the identity of the mystery caller. Though he sometimes felt like he knew the voice of the caller but he couldn't pinpoint it. He only knew that the girl was of the same college as Sakura. He was sure that it was one of his fangirls. He had been the victim of fangirls since his teenage years.
While going to Sakura's class, he heard numerous "hellos" from different girls. One of the hellos was however similar to that of the 'mystery girl'. He went to the said girl and asked her to repeat herself. When the girl said hello from near, it wasn't similar to the one in call. He apologised to her and followed Sakura and Ino to the library. He left the library after he didn't find any danger there because Sakura insisted that she had to study for her exams and if he stood there, people might talk about her amongst themselves.
As soon as Sasuke left the library, his phone began to ring. The 'mystery girl' was calling him. He received he call once again with his signature 'Hn'
"Good morning once again. Oh well, I was wrong when I said that you only look good in uniform. You look damn hot in that blue shirt as well."
"I will spoil your life once I find you."
"Haha like you'll ever find me. You don't even know my name."
"What is your name then?"
"My name is...umm...you can call me Saki."
"Saki. Okay. I will find you."
"Yeah yeah whatever. Also, why do you wear your sunglasses? Not that I am complaining because they make you look hot."
"A security officer never shows his eyes."
"I am sure your eyes are pretty."
Sasuke ended the call because he was in no mood to listen to a poetry about his eyes. He went to the library to check on Sakura. Instead of going somewhere else, he decided to stay outside the library till recess.
Days and months passed by, yet Sasuke couldn't find the identity of his 'mystery girl' anywhere. He went as far as sending Naruto to the girls' hostel near the college in exchange for ramen for a week but unfortunately he was beaten up by hordes of girls.
("Teme, because of you, I got beaten up. Such a lover boy."
"Hn"
"Whats with the Hn, huh?"
"Hn."
"I hope you remember your promise about a week of free ramen. Actually, make that two. I got beaten up for you. Ouch ouch Hinata, its hurting."
"Aa. I remember.")
The calls from the 'mystery girl' didn't stop. Now Sasuke actually waited for her calls. He actually liked talking to her and for Sasuke Uchiha, it IS a big thing. His 'mystery girl', Saki was quite a nice girl. She had a good sense of humor and seemed to be intelligent. When Sasuke said that he wanted to open a business, Saki encouraged him to do so. He took a liking to the girl. Everyday, after Sasuke left Sakura in the library with Ino, he patiently waited for Saki to call him. On her insistence, he even stopped wearing his sunglasses and many a times, Saki complimented him for his midnight black eyes. If he could, he would meet her. The growing feelings became a conflict for him. He has never felt such an attraction to a girl, no less to one whom he has never met.
Sakura's midterm exams were finally over. On the insistence of her friends, she decided to go to the disco for a party. It was difficult to convince Sasuke but he finally gave in. His only condition was that he would go with her to the disco. Sakura conceded to it and agreed. She knew this was the best she could get out of him.
That evening, she went to the along with Ino and her group of friends. Sasuke stood near a secluded corner of the disco. From there, he could observe everything. After a few drinks and dancing, Sakura herself went to a corner and took out her phone to call Sasuke. She also started to have feelings for him. Inside the stoic expression, resided a different Sasuke. This Sasuke was kind and considerate. Sakura felt lucky to have known him at such a personal level even if it was under the pretense of 'Saki'. She finally called him and he received the call after a few rings,
"Hi Sasuke-kun. Where are you?"
"Hey. I am at the disco."
"What? You at the disco? Really?"
"Aa. Sakura-san came here so I had to come."
"Don't take her name. You are always like Sakura this and Sakura that. What is so special in her? She is such a show off." Sakura tried to know what he felt about her by bad mouthing herself.
"Don't tell such things about Sakura-san. She is a nice person. She doesn't even know that she is the target of her father's enemies."
"Yeah. Whatever you say."
Sasuke flicked his glance to Sakura. She seemed to talking to someone. He heard some commotion near the entrance and went there to see three unauthorized men had entered the party venue.
"Saki, call me later. I think Sakura-san might be in danger." Sakura looked around and had a confused expression on her face. She saw Sasuke coming towards her. Suddenly she was grabbed and her hands with pinned together. She turned her face around to see three thug like people around her. One of them held her. She shouted for help. As soon as she shouted, Sasuke came rushing towards Sakura.
He started beating the goons. In the middle of the fight, many goons entered the venue. Sasuke fought against all of them. One of them had Sakura captured. After Sasuke fought with the other goons, he went towards the man who held Sakura. He took a shot bottle and slammed it on the attacker's head. Blood started oozing out from his neck. As soon as grip loosened, Sakura escaped from his hold. She saw Sasuke standing there with few bruises and a torn shirt. He looked at her and nodded and looked away. Sakura went back to the party and called Sasuke once again. She finally realized her feelings for him, not as Saki but as Sakura. She entered the party and called Sasuke once again.
"Hn. Sakura-san had an attack. Sorry for shouting at you."
"Yes, I saw. Sasuke, I want to tell you something."
"I am listening."
"I love you, Sasuke. I love you." Sakura began crying on the call and made eye-to-eye contact with Sasuke. She thought that Sasuke finally realized the identity of his 'mystery girl'. Sasuke remained silent throughout and kept his narrowed gaze focused on her. She looked away from his dark calculating gaze. After few seconds, she found herself hugged by Sasuke. As she was about to return his his hug, she realized that he wasn't hugging her but was killing her attacker who thought that attacking her from behind would be a good idea.
That night, after Sakura went inside her house. She remained awake till 2 a.m. and sorted out her feelings. She knew it wasn't infatuation but love. She decided that she would let him know ultimately. With this thought in mind, she went back to sleep. On the other side of the house, Sasuke remained awake thinking about what Saki said back when he was the disco. He knew that he liked but he wasn't sure whether he loved her. He liked her...a lot, maybe even loved her. He got out of his room deciding that he needed fresh air.
