DISCLAIMER: I don't own Invader Zim or Rainbow Brite, but if I did, this crossover would've DEFINITELY happened!

AUTHOR'S NOTES: Never underestimate the power of ...things... I forgot what I was gonna' say, but...let's just learn about Depths, instead!

EDIT: I just realized exactly HOW MANY TIMES I made the mistake of typing "smeet" instead of "smeech"! I need to go lie down, now...! I CAN'T BELIEVE I MADE THAT MANY SPELLING MISAKES! *SCREAMS* That's better! Good thing we can edit these, right? RIGHT!? *Runs off in panic* Oh, and...

Read and Review~!

Chapter 4: Why Ain't You Dead, Yet!?

Faint's journey to visit Depths wasn't helpful. He had nothing to do with this, and she sighed. If they hadn't met Depths, or if they'd at least known what he was there for, it would've made things immensely easier!

Depths had been found after wandering in from the deepest part of the Dumps. He had a weird Smolor Pak, completely black. He also had pure black skin, eyes, and antennae, and even his clothes were black!

It was odd, but since there really wasn't any reason to fear a smeech with a Smolor Pak -even a black one!- they let him stay. He could absorb the color from anything... Odd, as well, since Smolor Smeeches were supposed to be spreading color!

Depths had survived the Dumps, but only barely, with scrapes and bruises, and a large lump on his head! His spich, Ili, had died whilest protecting him from a Ho Hund. (A "Ho Hund" is a large, Irken creature, about the size of an elephant, that lives in the jungles, but will occasionally come to more sparsely-vegetated areas to eat. It's rather carnivorous~!)

He wasn't dangerous, but, the Sphere of Light seemed to think that he was a danger...

~~~A PAINFUL MEMORY-TRIP!~~~
"It's a good thing Depths was there -he would've been minced-death, if he wasn't!" Braaaiiins Blue was stating. They had just come out of an awful battle with a Poof Monger, who had wanted to hoard all of the star sprinkles in the world!
They didn't tell the Poof Monger about any of the OTHER Smolor Smeeches across the universe, and instead, just exploded his ship as Smolarc sent him flying~!
But, Depths and Loumpa Illoumpou and her spich, Daynight, were injured. Evil Orange assisted as Vital Green slapped medicine around. A tub filled with a dark fluid awaited them.
They both groaned as they tried hard not to be in pain in the medicated fluid. The fluid that touched Depths' skin became darker, but nobody cared. The spichs had to have a slightly different medicine, and Vital Green had a different tub for him.
"This is sssooo painful!" Daynight stated in spicklez, as he pouted.
"Hey, what's that light!?" Exclaimed some of the smeeches, who barely had enough time to giggle over Depths, Loumpa Illoumpou, and Daynight's painful dipping. Said light flew around and finally flashed said something to Smolarc. That was their first problem...!
"Sphere of Light! What are YOU doing!?" Asked Smolarc. She ran outside the Keenta'h, followed by the other Smolor Smeeches who could. The Sphere of Light stopped and hovered.
"Smolarc Radiance..." it stated, sounding sad. "I regret to inform you, that you will no longer be Smolarc Radiance."
"Wait, WHAT!" Everybody within hearing-range shouted. "WHY!? WHAT'S SHE DONE?!"
"By keeping a dark entity within the land, without casting it out." The Sphere of Light explained.
Smolarc frowned. Depths was a "dark entity", but he wasn't dangerous, didn't absorb light and color willy-nilly, and was helping them out -that hardly qualified as dangerous, OR evil! "Depths is dark, but he hasn't hurt anyTHING or anyONE!" She replied firmly to this accusation, "Not only THAT, but he helps us OUT! He's our comrade! A fellow Smolor Smeech! Just because he has a black Smolor Pak, doesn't mean he's dangerous!"
The Sphere of Light seemed woefully in the dark about these facts... In fact, it didn't know anything about Depths, at all! "Uhhh... I do not understand!" It stated. "What is a 'Black Smolor Pak'?"
Smolarc stared at it. The Sphere of Light had always been knowledgeable, AND had been the one to initiate...well, EVERYTHING in Refraction Land! "Don't you know? Depths has a black Smolor Pak on his back! He can use his abilities to absorb color and light, but he doesn't use it! He came here with a spich, too -although he died, protecting him- he's just a Black Smolor Smeech!"
"...I have never heard of anything like this!" The Sphere of Light admitted. "You say it's BLACK?!"
"YES!" Smolarc, Lovely Yellow, Evil Orange, Violet, Braaaiiins Blue, and Vital Green exclaimed.
"I'll need to see this 'Black Smolor Smeech'," The Sphere of Light told them.
"He was injured when that Poof Monger attacked, along with Loumpou Illoumpou, and her spich, Daynight!" Lovely Yellow pointed out.
"They're inside," Violet pointed.
"Injured?" Asked the Sphere of Light.
"Yes, they all helped in the fight to keep the Poof Mongers from stealing the star sprinkles!" Smolarc informed it.
"Please, take me to them," The Sphere of Light stated.
They obliged, and went inside. Violent Purple's spich, Justice, informed the three in tubs of what had happened.
"Don't move!" Violent Purple pointed to Depths, who'd been about to jump out, due to shock.
"Yeah, your injuries won't heal if you get out, now!" Vital Green told him, as they all came back in.
Depths didn't particularly like getting a full audience when he was in a tub full of dark liquid, but, Vital Green usually knew how to heal, and so he stayed put. The Sphere of Light hovered around the room, looking at him from all sides.
"I have never seen something like this!" It explained.
"Hello?" Asked Depths, wondering who and/or what it was.
"Depths, tell The Sphere of Light how you got here," Loumpa Illoumpou said from the other tub.
"Uhhh..." Depths thought for a moment, then, "I was originally from the Deedo Tribe's underground catacombs. I was visited by this large Irken, but they were dark, like I was! I was always one of the darkest-colored of my tribe," Depths told them. "He was even darker, with pure-black eyes. He said his name was Dark Life, and that I was needed in a place of light to bring life back," he paused, thinking. "But, he told me that my Black PAK would protect me, and that I could absorb things like light with it! I didn't really know what to do, but it seemed important. He gave me the name, 'Depths'. Then, he took me to the deepest part of the Dumps, and there I met my spich, Ili, after I climbed up it a bit. He said that they'd been waiting, and that the first thing I needed to do was to get to Refraction Land, and meet the Smolor Smeeches and their leader, Smolarc Radiance... But then, a ho hund attacked, and he died..." He pouted. "I think that he was the only one who knew what I was supposed to be here for, because I don't think the Dark Life is alive...he said he didn't have much time, left!"
"'Dark Life'!" Said the Sphere of Light.
"What an unusual name," Violent Purple pointed out. "I mean, I thought that light was supposed to give life, but dark can, too!"
"I...have to understand," The Sphere of Light flew out, without a word to them.
"Well...! THAT could've gone better!" Evil Orange stated.
"Just...HOW, exactly?" Vital Green asked her, causing them to ponder for a few moments, before his spich, Dr. Dead Dead, informed him that they needed to get the patients out of the liquid, and into some bandages!
It took four days before the Sphere of Light returned, but it didn't have any more answers than when it'd started. All it could confirm was that a person called Dark Life had existed, but that he had died, when he reached the end of his life.
"That is ominous," Violet pointed out.
"I don't have the information," The Sphere of Light pointed out.
"Then, what will you do?" Smolarc asked, hoping that it wouldn't be anything drastic. It was terribly drastic.
"I have concluded that it is dangerous to keep the Smolar Smeech of Darkness here," The Sphere of Light told them.
"Huh!?" Exclaimed Depths.
"Where would he go?!" Asked Smolarc.
"Light must give life," The Sphere of Light said, "But it cannot be allowed to darken! Get rid of him!"
"Why? He's not a threat!" Smolarc still attempted to reason with the Sphere of Light, but it wasn't willing. "Depths is our fellow Smolar Smeech!"
"THIS IS NOT A REQUEST!" The Sphere of Light spoke commandingly.
Smolarc sighed. "Give us some time! We can come up with an answer! There MUST be SOMETHING!"
"I will give you one day," The Sphere of Light spoke simply.
It left, and they looked at each other.
"Well, NOW what do we do?!" Asked Violent Purple, almost exclaiming. He was prone to panic if he didn't know how to handle things.
"We can't abandon Depths!" Evil Orange pointed out.
"But what if the Sphere of Light is right?" Asked Violet. "After all, we wouldn't know!" Her spich, Pla-pla exclaimed, hopping up and down.
(T/N: "Pla-pla", short for the English word, "plant". Pronounced "PLAY-play".)
"If there was any problem, then Ili wouldn't have told him to come!" She spoke Spichlez, of course.
"Yeah! And tell me to go meet Smolarc, if we're enemies?" Depths stated. "That makes no sense!"
"I thought you spichs didn't know Depths' spich, Ili?" Asked Braaaiiins Blue.
"All spichs are involved with keeping the warmth and light in the universe! We wouldn't ever do anything against it!" Rodger Red's spich, Jolly, spoke up.
"Yeah!" The other spichs exclaimed. "We wouldn't do it!"
"Is it ALL spichs?" Asked Braaaiiins Blue, thoughtfully. Depths started thinking on this, but they were interrupted.
"Nevermind! It's clear that Depths, here, is in danger, and he MUST remain in Refraction Land!" Smolarc Radiance explained. "But, we CAN'T let the Sphere of Light find him! If we do, then something even WORSE might happen, just because we got rid of him!"
"Yeah!" Exclaimed Lovely Yellow.
"There MUST be a reason!" Exclaimed Evil Orange.
"Wait! Perhaps..." Vital Green looked at Braaaiiins Blue, who looked at Depths. "But, it'd be hard...the spatial difference!"
"If it works, it's good!" Smolarc Radiance told them. They immediately took Depths to Braaaiiins Blue's lab. The Dimensional Hidey-hole that they'd constructed juuuuust might do the trick...!
They stopped at collapsed cavern, in the middle of the Dumps. Only the few, rascally trouble-makers ever endeavored to stop here, and they weren't here very often. It wasn't the deepest part of the Dumps, but then again, that would've been the first place to look!
"Okay, you'll stay hidden in here, until we tell you it's all heff," Braaaiiins Blue instructed him, and Depths had grown used to their slang enough to know what he'd meant. ("Heff" means "alright", in their Refraction Land slang~!)
"I understand," Depths said, feeling a little nervous. He wished he had a spich friend, like they had. "Is there anything that I need to do?"
"Nope! You're all heff," Vital Green told him.
"Don't worry! Time won't pass as much in there," Plucky Pink told him. "At least...I think."
"Yeah, there's a time-dilation-effect in there, along with a spatial-dilation!" Braaaiiins Blue told him.
"Okay...will you be heff?" Asked Depths.
"Yeah, we'll be fine!" Evil Orange said.
"Goodbye!" Violet said, holding his hands.
"Don't worry, it'll be fine!" -Loumpa Illoumpou
"I'll keep your shoes!" Daynight told him. He'd gone shoe-shopping with them.
"Refraction Land will be fine!" Lovely Yellow reassured him.
"I'll keep anyone from attacking this place!" Violent Purple told him.
"He's gonna' hit random things again, isn't he?" Asked Hezem, then, "Goodbye! We'll see you again, in no time!"
"I won't forget!" Smolarc Radiance told him. "I promise! You're one of us, Depths!"
"You were my favorite," Smolarc Radiance's omphah, Kickick, told him. "I hope to see you again!"
They all said goodbye to him, as he jumped down into a box even smaller than himself. Smolarc and the others quickly hid it, deep inside the small cavern, and knocked some rocks back over, completely covering the opening.
"Okay, done! We've done what the Sphere of Light told us!" Smolarc stated, rather sardonically. "Let's get back there! It's almost dawn!"
"ILI!" Their new shout for intense agreement with any order, no matter the danger, was the name of Depths' dead spich...It fit!
(T/N: I forgot to mention, "Ili", pronounced, "Ill-ee". Means, "I will" in the Irken language the Smolar Smeeches are speaking, but originally meant, "Life", in spicklez.
"Kickick" actually meant, "The Licker" in Faint's old Irken Language, as her omphah didn't have a name when they'd originally met!)
They got back to the Smolor Keenta'h, just a few hours before the Sphere of Light came back. "...!" It looked surprised, but didn't notice any sign of Depths.
"Hey, we did what you told us to!" Smolarc Radiance stated.
"Where is the Smolar Smeech of Darkness?" Asked the Sphere of Light.
"We sent him away!" Smolarc Radiance told it. "Just like you said to!"
"You were supposed to get rid of him." Stated the Sphere of Light. "Where has he gone?"
"You TOLD us to 'get rid of him'," Smolarc told the Sphere of Light. "That's what we did!"
"Light is the only way to get rid of the darkness!" The Sphere of Light told her.
"I WON'T do that to Depths!" Smolarc realized what the Sphere of Light had meant by that. "I CAN'T do that to one of our OWN!"
"Then you must surrender him to the light," The Sphere of Light told her. "Where is he?"
"NO!" Smolarc shouted. "I'll never let you take him!"
"YOU WILL," the Sphere of Light glowed.
Smolarc resisted against something unseen. The Smolor Smeeches yelled, "STOP IT!"
"As long as you are Smolarc Radiance, you can't ignore the light!" The Sphere of Light told her.
"Then...I QUIT!" Smolarc told it boldly. The others just looked at her, then at the Sphere of Light.
"If the Sphere of Light can affect Smolarc, it could affect all of us!" Braaaiiins blue had notice a glow from her Prism PAK, and quickly whispered to the other Smolor Smeeches.
"We might tell the Sphere of Light!" Evil Orange quickly caught on.
"If she's quitting, then I quit, too!" Hezem pointed out.
They all blinked, then turned to each other with a bold glare. "Smolarc!" They stated, pulling her back over to them. They whispered, then she sighed.
"I can't let you guys do this!" She whispered.
"We're ALL responsible!" Loumpou Illoumpou stated. "I don't care if you don't want it!"
"Yeah!" The others whisper-exclaimed.
"I won't let you take responsibility for this alone," stated Rodger Red.
"There's no point in resisting the Light," Braaaiiins Blue pointed out.
"So...let's avoid it!" Lovely Yellow stated the obvious.
"Hoooh... Let's get to work!" Smolarc stated, putting her hand up for a group hi-three. Hi-three finished, and turning back to the Sphere of Light, she smiled.
"WE ALL QUIT!"
"I understand," The Sphere of Light was quick to catch on. "Then take off your Prism PAK and Smolor PAKs. You are no longer Smolor Smeeches!"
They looked up at the white sun in the pink sky, instantly wished that Depths was there, or that they had a tarp, and proudly removed their PAKs.
The Sphere of Light whisked them away, back to Irk. It wasn't a long trip home. They were deposited in separate places, but still, they didn't mind it.
After all, what was a little, huge thing like that!
~~~END PAINFUL MEMORY-TRIP!~~~

Smolarc arrived at the Keenta'h, sadly no closer to the truth than they were back then.

The others, frankly, were better at thinking about these things than her. So, when she arrived, she found everyone crowded around the console, staring at the crumpled crystals, and a diagram.

"I think we've got it!" Braaaiiins Blue shouted out loud, in triumph. "No...that's not...!"

"Guys, I've been thinking," Evil Orange stated.

The others looked at her, but they didn't seem that interested.

"I SAID, I've been THINKING!" She shouted, effectively getting everyone's attention. "I've wondered this question for a loooong time, but nobody else's ever wondered it!" She then stated, "WHERE did the Sphere of Light come from?" They just looked at her, then suddenly, they started understanding it.

"That-INCREDIBLE!" Braaaiiins Blue shouted. "I always thought about where Dark Life came from, but not...!"

"What if the two are from the same place?" Asked the new Blue Smolor Smeech.

"Yeah! Like, an EXPLOSION! You know, when the negatively-charged ions meet the positively-charged ones, and it creates-" Evil Orange was interrupted by the new Hezem, Hazzoum.

"AN EXPLOSIVE REACTION!" Physics were apparently Hazzoum's specialty~!

"OOOHHH...!" Braaaiiins Blue said, suddenly needing to sit back down, again.

"I'm thinking that no one here has ever tried to mix both Depths' and Smolarc's powers together..." Vital Green finally caught on. "THAT'S why THEY HAD TO MEET!"

"I'm confused, what EXACTLY is EVERYONE EXCLAIMING ABOUT!?" Smolarc Radiance yelled, getting their attention.

That's when they noticed the older spichs in the room, who were walking up to Smolarc. Justice, who had visibly-aged, but still looked young enough, spoke up. "I think it's about time that we told you about the Last Smolor Smeech."

"Gee, way to make it sound DEADLY, Justice!" Violent Purple grinned at him, despite the comment. Justice just grinned at him, as well, before continuing.

"You see..." Justice told them what had happened.

"And...you all QUIT!" Exclaimed Smolarc Radiance.

"Everything makes sense, now!" The new Orange, named Ever Orange, exclaimed.

"Wait, why wouldn't the Sphere of Light have KNOWN?" Asked Hazzoum

"Well, I don't remember when I was first exploded, -er, brought into existence!" Evil Orange explained.

"Then THAT means that the Sphere of Light can die, possibly...?" Asked Blue-ishi, the new Blue Smolor Smeech.

"Like Dark Life did!" Exclaimed Violent Purple.

"Where's the Sphere of Light, anyways?" Asked Yellow Sun.

"Ohhh! It might know about this!" Hazzoum exclaimed.

"No! It couldn't if it hadn't been in existence, yet," Dirt Green pointed up.

"Honestly, where IS the Sphere of Light?!" Asked Purple Purple, bringing attention to Yellow Sun's question. "I don't think it would leave such an important matter like this!"

"Perhaps it's dead!" Pointed out Hezem. "Wait, that's HORRIFYINGLY HUUFFISH!" She exclaimed, putting her hands on the sides of her head. She also used a current Irken language slang word, which may or may not have been related to their old slang word, "heff", which had somehow popularized after they'd gone back to live on Irk.

(T/N: "Huuffish", meaning the complete opposite of "heff". Pronounced "Hu-u-fish".)

"Honestly, we can't, in some way, CONTACT it?" Asked Ever Orange, simply.

"NO!" The old group of Smolor Smeeches suddenly shouted.

"Look, I've got the scanners!" Braaaiiins Blue and Blue-ishi held them up. Vital Green and Dirt Green also held some equipment.

Their distraction served to defuse the situation.

"Look, let's leave the call for the Sphere of Light for until we've analyzed the two powers!" Faint told the new Smolarc Radiance.

"Cool! Only ONE problem...where is Depths!" She exclaimed, since no one had actually been telling them.

"Oh...! I'll go get 'im!" Faint told her, and Paumpa Lillou Ou volunteered to go with her.

"I'm coming, too!" The new Smolarc Radiance stepped up. "After all, this is now MY responsibility!"

"Cool, see if you can keep up!" Laughed Faint, but she and Paumpa Lillou Ou ended up getting a ride on her omphah with her, instead!

Smolarc Radiance hopped on her omphah, and offered them a ride. "It'll be much faster!"

"It reminds me of Kickick," Paumpa Lillou Ou noticed.

"Hi! I'm Fickick!" The omphah surprisingly had the power of speech.

"Oo, another omphah who can talk!" Faint told them.

"It's because I'm related to Kickick!" The omphah laughed and replied.

"Ooohhh!" Exclaimed Faint, after getting on. "I'm glad!"

"Is this her daughter?" Asked Paumpa Lillou Ou, after sitting.

"Granddaughter!" Smolarc Radiance replied.

"Let's go!" Smolarc Radiance commanded, and Fickick skittered swiftly away. They didn't use the star sprinkles, but their journey was fast.

"I haven't been on an omphah in so long!" Laughed Faint, thinking about how the movement felt different when she was young.

"Yeah, tell me about it!" Laughed Paumpa Lillou Ou.

"Oh, look, there's your sibling!" Smolarc Radiance pointed to an omphah out in a field of greena-gloobs as they skittered past.

"Hi, Pickick!" Fickick said happily. He huffed and wippered at 'em.

"Pickick?" Asked Paumpa Lillou Ou. "He's the same color as Rackter!"

"Yeah, Rackter's our grandfather!" Fickick replied happily.

"Kickick and Rackter! Who knew!" Smirked Faint, but she kept the giggles to herself.

Paumpa Lillou Ou laughed openly. After all, Kickick had had a bit of a thing for Rackter, Hezem's omphah!

(T/N: "Rackter", Pronounced "Rack-ter", was an ancient Irken word for the sound that lightning makes when it strikes something. Not a word for thunder, that was different.

"Fickick" and "Pickick" don't mean anything; they were just named to rhyme with Kickick.)

They arrived at the spot, and Faint asked Fickick, "How did you know?"

"Grandmother took me here, once, and told me to remember." She responded.

"Huh!" Said Faint, and then re-opened up the little cavern. They reached the box, and Faint opened it up. "Hey, look up!"

"Oh, hi!" Depths responded, waving when he saw Paumpa Lillou Ou. "You just left!"

"Yeah, heh heh, look, I have something to ask you," Faint said, nervously wondering if he would be fine with it. "The colors are fading, The Sphere of Light and Dark Life might have been related at first, and and we need to scan you to figure it out!"

"Oh! Okay!" Happily, Depths agreed.

They pulled him out. Smolarc Radiance was obviously surprised! Paumpa Lillou Ou picked up the box. Depths looked up at Faint and Paumpa Lillou Ou, who had obviously gotten larger.

"Come on, we'll explain on the way!" Smolarc Radiance stated, in response to his shock.

"I thought your head looked a little different," Depths was saying to Faint, as they walked/crawled out of the small cave.

"Time dilation will do that to you!" Replied Faint, happily.

They hopped onto Fickick, and skittered back to the Keenta'h. On the way, Faint explained.

They arrived, just in time to see the others running out, happily.

"WHEE!" The old Smolor Smeeches cheered at seeing Depths again.

Depths hadn't been in that box for long, according to his time, but to them, it was a looooong time! They patted his back and head-bumped, before Faint told them to get back to work!

Smolarc Radiance led the way to the lab, still operated mainly by Blue-ishi, but sometimes by everyone~!

They used the newly-fixed and re-designed equipment to scan Smolarc Radiance's Smolor PAK and its energy, and Depths' Black PAK and its energy.

"Wow! It's so perfect!" Exclaimed Hazzoum, trying hard to get Hezem interested in physics.

"That looks explodey~!" Violet stated.

"How'd that happen, and should we tell The Sphere of Light?" Asked Dirt Green.

"NO!" Exclaimed the old Smolor Smeeches, who then stopped when Faint pointed.

"Hey!" She said.

"We can tell The Sphere of Light later," Smolarc Radiance told the group.

They agreed, and decided to chart where the previous explosion had come from.

Smolarc Radiance was about to leave the room to go to the Central Control Room, when Faint put a hand on her shoulder, and stopped her.

"Hey, can I have a favor?" She asked politely.

"What?" Asked Smolarc Radiance.

"You're Smolarc Radiance. But, I used to be in your position, and I couldn't finish the job. It was my responsibility, so I'll finish up." Faint stated, putting a hand on her chest. "Besides, you're still Smolarc Radiance! You're needed!" She finished, somewhat morbidly.

"Alright! But, will it work...?" Asked Smolarc Radiance. It was a well-known fact that the Prism Pak didn't work for everybody: only in extreme circumstances, could it be used for evil, or simply by someone else.

"Well, we can still try and call the Sphere of Light!" Faint pointed out.

"I have a feeling like we can convince it." Smolarc Radiance snickered at Faint's last comment, and agreed.

"Alright!"

They found the point of origin pretty fast.

Braaaiiins Blue, Blue-ishi, Vital Green and even Dirt Green were busy with the calculations, but everyone with half a mind enough to calculate was helping.

"I AM working on a small-scale! I can't calculate for the entire UNIVERSE!" Evil Orange was shouting.

"We have to check with the Doorkoot planet's Looki Gruns!" Vital Green was told by Dirt Green.

(T/N: "Doorkoot", sounds like "DOOR-coot".

"Looki Gruns", Color Kids in the Doorkoot language. Pronounced, "Look-ee Groons".)

The point of origin wasn't anywhere NEAR Spectra, which was good, but they didn't know how to get there...

"Oh! You can just go in one of our ships! The Little Excursion's faster than anything!" Tallest Red pointed out.

"Except for The Doughnut Dough, which I fixed up," Braaaiiins Blue pointed out. "And his ship," he pointed to Vital Green. "He used some of my ideas."

"Oooohhhh~!" Everyone was impressed...!

"Only one problem," Depths had been thinking about this, and raised a hand.

"What?" Asked Braaaiiins Blue.

"How many star sprinkles are left?" Depths asked.

"I think we might have enough..." Braaaiiins Blue stated, nervously.

"I've been saving a few star sprinkles," Faint told them, pulling out a small pouch.

"Always prepared, this one!" Loumpa Illoumpoo said with a smirk.

"We always kept some smolor crystals a star sprinkles!" Lovely Yellow explained. Then she pulled some of the said star sprinkles out of a shawl. "Evil and I made this! We decorated it with the star sprinkles."

The resulting pile of even more star sprinkles eventually half-filled a medium-large bag. (A little larger than a 13-gallon trash bag.) Then then spichs came with extras!

"Wait! We might need a small amount for later," Smolarc Radiance explained, sorting some into a small pouch. Then she absorbed the rest of their energy into the Prism PAK.

"Good! Now, one more thing," Faint pulled out a small device. "If your powers are used up, and you can't keep the light off, you can use this! I also have a cloak!" She pulled out the dark cloak she'd gotten from one of the spichs.

"Thanks!" Depths said, taking them.

They led them into the ship and said their goodbyes. Smolarc Radiance took off her PAK and was instantly covered with a shade-hologram from Braaaiiins Blue. "Here, you go! You're a Modern Irken now, so don't take off your PAK until you're ready to use this one!"

They hopped up into the ship.

"Mik, I hope this works!" Faint mumbled. Depths laughed. They both were thinking the same exact thing...!

Out in space, it was beautiful~!

"Outer-space looks so pretty~!" Depths said.

Faint smiled. "Yeah~! Even now...!"

"It'll be fine!" Depths reassured her.

"It's like a dance!" He then hopped to the center of the ship's front room. Braaaiiins Blue's ship was larger than Vital's, so they had taken the largest one.

Depths started spinning, and then said, "You spin around, too!"

Faint laughed, "Okay!" And got up to dance. It took about an hour to reach the right point, so they had plenty of time to plan out how they were going to do it.

"And then, we fire towards the central-point!" Depths had explained.

"How do you know that?" Asked Faint.

"Because all the things I've seen in space have spun!" He shrugged his shoulders.

"Good point!" Faint really couldn't argue with the observation.

"Plus, I like to spin," Depths added. "It's FUN!"

They finally reached their destination.

Faint put the ship on auto-pilot, and held onto her remote. She'd need it, if their energy was exhausted, and they couldn't get back to the ship! She just hoped that the ship would return when she called it. With the amount of power about to be released, it was quite likely that the shockwave would knock it away, too far to be of help!

"Okay! I'm ready!" Depths said, then took a few deep breaths. Faint nodded, and took off her PAK. The timer announced that it was a bad idea, and she put the Smolor PAK on, in its place. It was so tiny, but easily took its place and stopped the countdown.

"I'm ready, too!" Faint stated, taking another deep breath.

"LET'S GET TO SPINNIN'!" They both shouted, jumping out of the door.

Their PAKs activated, protecting them, and forming their own atmosphere. Braaaiiins Blue had once tried to find out how it worked...! But, that was a remembrance for another time. Faint grabbed Depths' hands, and he pulled her into a spin. Due to gravity, their center should have been off-balance, but...

They used the power from their PAKs, and suddenly, their center stabilized. They also kept spinning!

"WHEEEEEEE!" They both shouted, screaming pointlessly, into the depths of space. This was more fun than any ride!

"I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING!" Yelled Faint.

"SHUT-UP AND SCREAM!" Yelled Depths, happily.

Their energy formed around the outer edge of their spin, creating a helpful globe of neutral particles inside of it. They couldn't tell how fast they were going, only that the energy was getting stronger as they charged more and more power, and they had no idea how to stop!

Their powers started leeching out, pulled towards one another in a positive feedback loop of fun.

The resulting explosion was also more powerful than anything they'd ever seen before, or would afterward.

Floating in the placid space, Faint briefly wondered if she should call the ship. It had obviously been blown clear from the explosion, but she didn't know exactly how far.

Depths looked at the stars, all reacting to the immense explosion of energy, and just grinned.

Wait. She could see his teeth! Faint pushed the button in her pocket, and the ship came in surprisingly-short order. They had just enough time to get into the ship, before the little atmosphere around them had dissipated. She pulled out the cloak and darkening hologram, and handed them to Depths. "It's so bright!" He said, before covering his eyes. He fumbled around, but finally pushed the button on the darkening hologram projector, and he sighed. "Whew! I haven't had THAT happen...at all!" He grinned, eyes shining a surprisingly not pure black. They were slightly gray-ish, and a little bit purple...!

"I haven't almost died in space in...a year!" Faint exclaimed, taking off the Prism PAK. It appeared drained of all power, as her Life-clock had begun counting. Her own PAK happily was reattached, and she sighed.

"Oh!" Depths took off his Black PAK, as well. Now that it was depleted of its power, he wondered what they were supposed to do with it? Obviously, her Prism PAK could go back to Refraction Land with them. But... "I wonder where the Black PAK goes to?"

"I...huh! You know, we never DID find that out...!" Faint stated, putting a finger to her chin.

"I think another Dark Life and Sphere of Light will come," Depths told her, looking out of the window.

"I think that you're right -oh! Hey, where DID Ili come from, anyways!?" Asked Faint. "The spichs always LIVE in a PLACE, they're not pure light and dark!"

"Dark Life wasn't a shadow, either!" Depths explained. "He looked like us! Only...dark!"

"Perfect! That TOTALLY greena-gloobs it up!" Faint exclaimed sarcastically. He giggled at her. ("TOTALLY greena-gloobs it up", is like saying, "clear as mud".)

They flew back to Refraction Land, eager to see the results of their "hard work".

They got there before the explosion, so it was an anxious wait, until almost sunset.

The meteor struck deep down into the Smolor Cave, collapsing it and every single support. The entire collapse actually just created a new mountain, so it wasn't like it changed things like that.

The spichs tried hard not to be exhausted at the mere thought of rebuilding! They hadn't actually rebuilt the mine in centuries, and as far back as their records went, they weren't able to pin-point the exact date of the last Smolor Meteor.

"Say...who here remembered to tell the other Smolor Smeeches in the universe about this...?" Asked Ever Orange.

Four people, Evil Orange, Paumpa Lillou Ou, Hazzoum, and Hezem raised their hands.

"Phew!" There was a collective sigh of relief from people who weren't even sure if they had been holding their breath...
