(Tavern, across from the inn)
Qrow watches Team RNJR check into their Hotel rooms. Chuckling and enjoying his drink. A waitress places a drink on his table, he looks at her.
Qrow: I didn´t uh...
The waitress cuts him off, holding the circular wooden tray on its side in front of her chest.
Waitress: From the woman, upstairs.
She looks upwards, and points with her two fingers.
Waitress: Red Eyes. Said you wouldn´t mind a drink from the bottom shelf.
She looks back up again, in the same direction. Qrow also looks up, then back to his original position.
Qrow: Thanks.
The waitress leans in, the tray still blocking view of her chest.
Waitress: But..
Qrow looks over.
Waitress: I went ahead and gave you top.
She says this while winking at him.
Waitress: Lucky you.
Qrow smiles, watching her walk away. He looks out of the window, noticing the rain continuing to pour.
Qrow: Yeah.
He gets up, chair scraping against the floor. Taking his drink with him. He walks up the stairs to the upper deck of the bar. He looks and notices the only person up there. Raven, without her mask, and her sword behind her. He couldn´t tell what she had gone through from a distance.
Raven: Hello Brother.
Qrow looks at her.
Qrow: Raven…
He walks to her table and sits down, once Raven moves her Grimm Mask.
Qrow: So, what do you want?
Raven spreads her arms.
Raven: A girl can´t just catch up with her family?
Qrow: She can. But you´re not… how about we get on with it?
Qrow slurps from his glass.
Qrow: Unless you plan on keeping these coming.
He places the glass down.
Raven: Does she have it?
Qrow´s finger traces the top of his glass.
Qrow: Did you know Yang lost her arm?
Raven: That´s Not-
Qrow: Rhetorical Question. I know you know. It´s just obnoxious that you´d bring up family, then carry on like your own daughter doesn´t exist.
Raven: I saved her!
Qrow holds up a finger.
Qrow: Once, because that´s your rule, right? Real Mom of the year material, sis.
He goes to pick up his glass, Raven grabs his arm, with her hand. Careful not to reveal the bandages underneath.
Raven: I told you Beacon would fall, and it did. I told you Ozpin would fail, and he has. Now you tell me, Does. Salem. Have it?
Qrow: I thought you weren´t interested in all that?
Raven: I Just want to know what we´re up against.
Qrow looks at her, trying to get her to open up, noticing her bandages on her arm.
Qrow: And which we are you referring to?
Raven looks at him, sighs and releases his arm.
Qrow: You should come back, Raven. The only way we could beat her is by working together. All of us.
Raven feigns ignorance, not knowing he knows about Reuben.
Raven: The tribe raised us and you turned your back on them.
Qrow finishes his drink.
Qrow: They were killers and theives. Losers and suckers.
Raven: They were your family.
Qrow: You have a very skewed perception of that word.
Raven stands up abruptly, the chair moving behind her. Qrow notices the bandages on her upper thighs.
Raven: I lead our people now. As leader, I will do everything in my power, to ensure our survival.
Qrow: I saw, the people of Shione saw too.
Raven: The weak die, The strong live. Those are the rules.
Qrow: Well, you´ve certainly got someone strong on your side. I´ve seen the damage.
Raven turns to face the wall.
Raven: We couldn´t have known how quickly the Grimm would have set in.
Qrow: I´m not talking about the Grimm, not about you either.
Raven turns back to her brother.
Raven: If you don´t know where the relic is, then we have nothing left to talk about.
She has her hand on her mask, Qrow´s hand darts forward to stop hers.
Qrow: I may not know where you´re keeping him…nor the Spring Maiden. If you do, I need you to tell me. He would do better with us, we need his extra muscles.
Raven swipes her helmet away.
Raven: Why would I do that?
Qrow: Because without him, and the Spring Maiden. We´re all going to die.
The lamp on a table flickers off.
Raven: And which we are you referring to? As long as he is around, Salem´s goons don´t stand a chance in hell.
Raven puts on her mask. She then deploys her weapon and cuts a portal, leading back to her last location. She then walks through before it closes.
Qrow stares at his drink before he hears glass shatter. The Waitress from before broke the glass, gasping as she witnessed Raven´s semblance.
Qrow: Make this one a double.
(Reuben´s Cabin)
Reuben had finished his plate. He puts it in the sink and is ready to go to bed. He then feels a strong gust of wind, Raven walks back through a portal. She lowers her mask and places it on a side-table.
Reuben: Oh wow. I actually didn´t think you´d return.
Raven walks towards him. She places her sword back where he had it.
Raven: People are looking for you. My twin brother knows that my tribe had run-ins with you.
She removes her dirty shirt, and covers her upper body with the couch blanket.
Reuben: Qrow? Why?
Reuben heard that after STRQ had disbanded, Qrow became a traveling huntsman like himself. The two had crossed paths, and even fought at one point. Friendly sparring, nothing too deadly.
Raven: He says that you are our only hope against Salem.
Reuben: Salem? Who is that?
Reuben goes to sit back down, in his reclining chair.
Raven: She is someone who is very powerful. Even more powerful than you.
Reuben: So you want me to avoid her at all costs?
Raven smirks, her crimson eyes dancing with mischief. She has a new plan.
Raven: On the contrary, I want you to train me. So we can kill the Witch.
Reuben: So you can master your Spring Maiden Powers?
He takes a sip of his water, looking on his scroll, not at Raven.
Reuben: What would I get in return for letting you train with me?
Raven stands up and removes her blanket.
Raven: Everything you could ever desire. Me and my people are at your service.
Reuben spits out his water once he sees Raven´s body. This he could work with.
Reuben: We have…uh...a deal then.
