"You," the ruby red dragon demanded as her vast wings took her towards the crying dragonet. "What are you doing?" I should run! Distorted's mind screamed as he righted himself into the Icewing standing position.

The Skywing faltered a little as they caught eyes, and she glared at him, the jewels hanging from her horns glittering like miniature suns reflecting on the desert sands.

"I'm looking for the Icewing princess." His voice boomed as she landed next to him. "I have been sent on a mission by Queen Glass to find her daughter and return to the kingdom with Princess Migraine unharmed."

"Your eye's are peculiar Icewing, did your father have a defect?" She spoke, avancing towards him, her tail lashing slightly as the wind brushed sand on her talons.

"My father...?" Distorted was caught off guard by the question. It was so centered an strange. And how did she know he had just a father, and no mother in sight. They must have met in battle before, she must have seen his dripping scales and decided I would've been born with a defect. Distorted decided. "Er, no he is a perfectly normal Icewing."

"And your mother?" She pushed forward, her strangely golden eyes making his scales hotter.

"I don't have a mother, and I don't want anything to do with her." Distorted said simply, preparing for flight, his wings stretching out like the masts of a boat.

"Hmm, I think Queen Cairo will want to hear about you." She nodded to the Sandwings around her as they haughtily took steps towards the dragonet confidently.

Distorted flinched away angrily, shooting a blast of frostbreath at one of the biggest Sandwings and shooting into the sky like a rocket.

"Locust grab the chains!" The Skywing roared, shooting after Distorted, signaling to a Sandwing who wasn't helping to now screeching frozen Sandwing.

Distorted yelped, felling heavy chains snagging his scales as the Sandwing named Locust attemped a throw to trap Distorted. The dragonet turned around and shoved the chains off his scales, just to find the Sandwing lingering behind him.

"No!" He screeched as the chains caught his left wing, hauling him down to the sand with a thump as everything went black.
