Chapter 4

Who's the designer?

So yeah, they gave me my own office to do my work. They had everything, my lord, how rich are these guys. There was a knock at the door. "Come in" I said. The door opened and in came Dipper, Kitt, Sylvio and Julia.

"Hey Marinette" said Dipper.

"Whoahohohohohohooo", said Kitt. "This place is awesome". Dipper then looked at the designs on the table next to him.

"Damn", said Dipper. "Look at these names. Jagged Stone. Clara Nightingale. Jonathan Gimsy. Eminem. Pink. Katey Perry. Lucy Loos".

"Those are some pretty big names" said Sylvio looking over Dipper's shoulder.

"Hey Julia", I said. "Your dad's a gem merchant, right?".

"Yeah" said Julia rather confused.

"Okay", I said. "Could I get these gems in these amounts? I need them for my clothes". She then handed Julia a list.

"Uh, sure", said Julia. "Do you have the money for this?".

"Does THIS answer your question?" I asked handing Julia six stacks of 100 dollar bills. Julia's eyes widened at this.

"I did not know you could put that many 100 dollars in a stack" said Julia.

"So, can you deliver these here by tomorrow?" I asked.

"S-s-s-sure" said Julia still in shock.

"I'm just amazed that so many famous people want your designs" said Sylvio looking at fabric.

"When you make iffel tower sunglasses", I said. "Word gets around".

"I wonder where those came from" said Kitt.

"Oh, and one more thing", I said. "Even if you are my friends, I expect you to make a commission and pay in full. I'm not giving out stuff for free ever again. EVER".

"Again?" Asked Dipper.

"My class of previous friends took advantage of that and one straight up said 'I'm only your friend because of the free stuff" I said. This shocked the other Lio students.

"Oh man, I-I'm sorry Marinette", said Kitt. "No one should ever have to go through that".

"Why do you think I moved here?", I asked. "Also, thank you for your concern".

"Hey, guys", said Sylvio looking at one of the clothing racks. "Check out all these clothes". The others walked over to have a look.

"Check this one out" said Julia pulling out a dress the same colour as her top, but it had 'Gem Knight Lady Brilliant Diamond' and 'Gem-Knight Master Diamond' sitting at a table in a fancy garden drinking tea and being served by 'Gem Knight Sapphire' and 'Gem Knight Emerald' who were in butler outfits.

"This is lovely", said Julia. "Especially the fake gem shoulders and ruby patterned cuffs".

"Have a look at this" said Dipper taking out a casual set of clothes that were patterned after the monsters in his deck, 'Constellars'. It had two large stars on the breast area purple shoulders and biceps that were decorated with little stars and a the forearms were coloured gold and the rest of the hooded jacket was coloured white. There was a purple undershirt decorated like a stary night. The pants were purple at the top and decorated with stars and the lower half was decorated like nebulous clouds.

"Now THIS makes me look like a star" said Dipper.

"Now THIS is style" said Kitt. He held up a casual outfit modelled after 'X-Sabers', in school attire. It had 'XX-Saber Hyunlein' dressed as a school girl carrying a school bag acting shy around 'XX-Saber Gotums'dressed in a school boy outfit looking cool. The sleeves were brown, red and orange and the trousers were patterned like swords.

"Talk about the cutting edge" said Kitt.

"You might like that", said Sylvio. "But I prefer the bland fanciness". He then held up a black and white disco outfit.

"Hey, Marinette", said Dipper. "Do you think we could have these?"

"I don't see why not", said Marinette. "I do except cash". The four of them then pulled out credit cards with smiles on their faces. Marinette smiled. At least these guys payed for their clothes.
