A/n: Fourth chapter's up! I hope you enjoy what I have in store this time :)
Previously on Abyssal Wizard:
There was a click and beep as the phone hung up and Lillian placed in back onto the main body of the telephone.
"I presume you heard everything?" Lillian guessed, not even looking back to know that Hood was embarrassed.
"Yes Admiral." Hood replied softly. "I apologise for allowing myself to overhear such sensitive information."
"It's fine." Lillian grumbled. "Just try and tune it out next time."
She had a feeling though that today will be the last day of peace she'll have for a while.
This Time on Abyssal Wizard:
It wasn't long after he had left the Medical Wing of Hogwarts, only about a day or so, but he'd found out quite a lot.
First was that, well, HE COULD BREATHE UNDERWATER!
Yeah, that's right. Not only could he now effortlessly hold his breath for a still unknown amount of time, but he found that he could actually breathe underwater.
How'd he find this particular fact out?
He stuck his head in the Black Lake.
Why did he stick his head in the Black Lake?
Well, he had to find out somehow, didn't he?
Anyway, he also found that there were these weird little people inside him! Yeah, that sounded really wrong and weird for some reason, and Madame Pomfrey spat out her drink when he said it, but when you had a cute, tiny person come out of your neck with a navy uniform you'd understand!
Madame Pomfrey couldn't understand them, saying that they kept saying "Hey" but Harry disagreed.
He could fully understand what they were saying, so why couldn't Madame Pomfrey?
Anyway, he'd gotten permission from Dumbledore to actually go into the Black Lake (not just dump his head in it) and holy moly was it a good feeling!
It was like coming home, like, to an actually good and nice home, that wasn't the Dursleys!
It was a warm feeling if he was being honest, even though the Black Lake was supposed to be really, really cold.
Don't worry, he was in his little metal boat thingy, so he didn't have that feeling of being separate from himself as he easily cruised through the dark waters at what the voice in his head told him was 25 knots.
He doesn't know what knots are, but it sounded fast.
Okay, now we're up to the present.
"So, you're my Captain?" Harry's voice lightly echoed through the water.
"Hey."
It was strange to Harry that the voice he heard was in his head, not from outside like he would usually hear voices that weren't his thoughts.
Harry let a fish slowly pass by him, not even acknowledging his existence before he spoke again.
"I-if I'm a submarine, d-does that mean I have torpedoes?" Harry asked as he manoeuvred close to the edge of the Black Lake's bank.
He was sure that the Merpeople would be active, but strangely there was nothing to be found other than the fish that inhabited the lake.
Oh, and the giant squid.
Anyway, back on topic.
"Hey."
'Just bring it out?' Harry thought in confusion.
It was at that moment he felt a strange weight appear on his right hand as he looked down at it to see a long, thin torpedo, nearly twice the height of him(now).
"Oh."
"Hey."
"W-wait, throw it?" Harry stuttered, looking at the torpedo. "Why would you want me to do that?"
"Hey."
"Practice?" Harry questioned. "I guess that would make sense."
"Hey."
"Yeah, let's do that." Harry chuckled (not giggled!).
He didn't want to get caught in the explosion now, did he?
He quickly reversed to what his (her?) Captain considered a safe distance and, as he readied to chuck the torpedo like a javelin, the propeller began to accelerate quickly as he could hear the propeller turning at rapid speed, yet he still held his grip and it didn't move.
Quite nice in Harry's opinion.
"Hey!"
'Aye Captain!' Harry thought as he then chucked the torpedo with all his might and watched in awe as it pierced through the water like a knife through butter and, as he waited in silence for a couple of seconds, a thunderous shockwave blasting through the water at tremendous speeds, signalling the detonation of the torpedo.
"So cool!" Harry gasped.
"Hey."
"Check sonar?" Harry questioned. "What's that?"
"Hey."
"What do you mean I'll-WOAH!" Harry cut himself off as something seemed to click in his head.
He could hear everything! He could see everything!
He could hear the schools of fish all the way across the lake, the rustling of the kelp, the squid eating said schools of fish, the merpeople hiding, the Grindylows-
Wait, what was that?
Checking with the fact that he could practically see everything to (basically echolocation), he confirmed that there was merpeople in the village hiding.
Well, the squid was near them he guess, so that could be it.
'Wait a minute, was that crying?' Harry thought in confusion.
He pinpointed the location of the noise but he couldn't find anything by 'seeing'. He just couldn't seem to visualise it.
"What can be heard but not felt?" Harry mumbled. "Oh yeah, ghosts!"
'I wonder why a ghost was in the Black Lake though?' Harry thought to himself, but shrugged it off. 'Magic, I suppose. They could've drowned after all.'
"Hey."
"Yeah, I should probably surface now." Harry smiled sheepishly. "Might need to explain why a geyser of water shot from the lake."
Harry then began to rise from the dark and watery depths of the lake and in no time at all, his head pierced the waterline to meet the eyes of Dumbledore.
"I take it you were the cause of that geyser then?" Dumbledore chuckled.
"Yeah!" Harry exclaimed in response. "I shot a torpedo at the ground!"
"I see." Dumbledore replied with a soft smile. "Although as enjoyable as that may possibly be, I recommend in future that we avoid weapons testing near an inhabited area."
"Yeah, I guess." Harry mumbled in embarrassment. "I realise that I might've scared the merpeople with that... I think."
"I see." Dumbledore noted. "In any case, I believe that it's time that you meet one of my associates."
"Associates?" Harry questioned, gazing up to the kind old professor curiously.
"Yes, they happen to be a British Admiral of a Kanmusu fleet." Dumbledore explained. "She would like to meet you."
"Do um, do they know?" Harry asked. "About, well, you know..."
"Yes, they have been informed." Dumbledore assured. "You don't need to worry."
"If you say so sir." Harry mumbled.
Oh yeah, he can also do this!
Harry de-manifested the boat thingy and stepped onto the ground.
Yeah, he did that. He found out he could do that yesterday, so he didn't feel like he was separate from himself!
Being this Kanmusu thing was kind of cool!
"Shall we be off then?"
"Yes sir." Harry replied as he followed Dumbledore back to the castle of Hogwarts.
