CHAPTER FOUR
~Randy's POV~

We had been walking for hours... I felt stupid for thinking that we were going to get home in time. I replayed the scene over and over of Brad falling from the sled, a rock slicing into his snowpants. I had tried to stop him but he hadn't listened.

~Flashback~
"C'mon, Brad, this is stupid," I insisted. I tugged on his arm trying to lead him away from the McGurns. Brad shot me a glare and shoved me backwards into the snow. I gasped hoping that he still wouldn't do it.

"Get away from me, Randy," He muttered angrily.

"Look, Brad, listen to me -" I said as I got to my feet and my little brother helped me up.
~End Flashback~

"Are you okay?" Mark asked beside me. I nodded. "Are you sure you're asthma isn't bothering you?" I nodded again, feeling a little lightheaded. I had to be strong for the little doofus.

"Randy..?"

"Huh?" I kept walking in a steady pace.

"It looks like you're about to fall over,"

"Okay," I shrugged. I shook my head as I shivered uncontrollably.

"Hey! Look there's a car!"

TWO DAYS LATER...

"You should be fine, young man," The doctor in the hospital said to Brad.

"Thank you sir," Mom, Dad and Mark were standing all around Brad's bed that he laid in. He turned his head to look at me with guilty eyes. I swallowed hard hoping he wouldn't say anything goofy.

"I'm sorry, Randy, I should have listened to you," Brad said rubbing his arms. "If I had listened to you, you and Mark wouldn't have dragged me in the snow. And then you wouldn't have had a asthma attack."

"Its okay,"

"Are you sure?"

"I'm okay, and you're okay. We're all okay right?" We grinned at each other. Dad piped up for the first time in hours.

"...Except..."

"Uh oh," My family and I said all together.

"What did you do now, Tim?" Mom asked pursing her lips.

"I broke the sled."

THE END.
