The next day soon rolled around, the warmth of the duvet restricting an already reluctant Carla to get out of bed.
The smell of cooking bacon from the kitchen making Carla call out "Peter!"
"Yeah!" He called back, walking in with a tray, sat on top was a plate of bacon, a clear glass of fresh orange juice and a bowl of blueberries.
Placing it down on the bed in front of Carla he said softly with a huge smile, "first breakfast for my stunning fiancé" before he kissed her gently and she began to sit up straight.
"Have you gone all soft?" Carla teased slightly before smiling and tucking in to the bacon.
"N.. no" he stuttered before walking over to his chest of drawers from the other side of the room, getting some clothes out for the day opting to choose a thin white top and black jeans, matching the leather jacket.
"I'd never go soft, I'm going for a shower" he huffed and walked out.
She laughed and finished her breakfast.
Once he'd had his shower Peter came out rubbing his jet black hair with a towel, removing it to reveal spikes lining down the roots of his hairline making Carla giggle, she was stood by the kitchen counter.
"Are you laughing at my hairline?" He teased her before coming over and nibbling at her neck as she continued to giggle.
A slow, gentle moan as he left a trail of kisses along her collarbone before lifting his head up to meet hers and gently dropping his forehead to lean to hers.
"I do love you.. you know that right?" She fiddled with her leather jacket and looked into his eyes.
"I know you do.." he kissed her softly and smiled.
"You gonna see Kate today?" He asked, rubbing her back as she mumbled a sec.
"I'm gonna have to.. do we have to rush this wedding all I care about is just having you here" she smiled at him.
"You need to decide if you want Kate or Chelle first" he said.
"I know! Just stop going on.." she pulled from him as he tried to grab her arm with a nudge she walked off into the bedroom.
An hour passed and the door pushed open allowing daylight to enter the Rovers as Carla walked in to Jenny behind the bar.
"Hey Jenny" Carla smiled.
"Hey.. Kate's in the back" Jenny pointed towards the backroom just as Kate ran out.
Spotting a glimpse of her big sister Kate threw over the look of agitated.
"Kate..?" Carla asked.
Walking off back into the back room Kate blanked her sister, sitting down to fill in more of the wedding plans.
Carla walked behind the bar, her hands in her pockets walking into the backroom.
"Go away.." Kate snapped.
"Kate.. what's wrong?" the bride to be asked her sister.
"I heard you.. to Peter all about how I was too much planning the wedding" Kate looked up.
"Oh Kate.." Carla's voice dropped.
"I thought.. that you wanted me to help?" She asked.
"I do.. I'm just not a big fussed over weddings, I've had more than I count" Carla then sat down next to Kate.
"Then why say that stuff to Peter" Kate looked to Carla.
She put her arm round her baby sister and rested her head softly against hers.
"Because.. Peter, he is the love of my LIFE and I want to marry him but all that matters is that he's there. I don't want a big white dress. I don't want a massive room full of guests." Carla explained.
"What do you want then.. you've got to have something to make it special other than the groom" Kate said.
"Hm.. a dress that isn't white.. maybe I'll let you have the flowers but no big do and the after party and that just a nice quiet wedding" she smiled.
"Please.. can we just have a few guests and maybe a few drinks and the first dance?" Kate begged.
"Mm.. I'll think about it" Carla gave a smirk.
Kate nudged her gently and got up.
"Do you want a drink? I can get some from the bar" Kate pointed.
"Mm.. go on then but only one glass" she smiled.
"Yeah okay it's never one glass with you" Kate smirked and went behind the bar to choose a luxury Pinot bottle of wine.
Coming back with two clearly polished wine glasses, Kate placed them down on the table one by one and twisted open the bottle.
"So.." Kate said pouring two glasses.
"So.. what?" Carla said.
"How's you and Peter? Anything new.." Kate seemed eager.
"Uh.. yeah good" she smiled, taking her glass.
"No uh.. chances of making me an Auntie Kate?" Kate said very quietly.
"No.. Kate, that's way way in the past not now" Carla half smiled, reminiscing that day she told Peter she was pregnant.
"It would be nice.. if you had a baby that is wasn't Peter broody?" Kate stated.
"Kate.." Carla said softly looking to her sister.
"I just want to have a little niece or nephew.. Susie's left you're my chance" Kate looked down.
"Babies.. they're hard work it's not just cause they're cute" Carla said, drinking the wine.
"I know but it's worth it isn't it.. I mean having this tiny human that would have Peter's nose and your lips and you can help them learn to crawl and dress them up" Kate said with puppy dog eyes.
"Hm.. they cost money, throw up and smell of sick" Carla said.
"But it's worth it!" Kate whined.
Carla began smiling at the thought of a little baby, half Peter and half her.
Kate sipped her wine and looked to Carla with a smile as Carla sat in thought for a while.
Would it be a good idea for Peter and Carla to have a baby or is it too late now?
