The Legacy

Chapter III

Getting to know each other

Vegetasei.

It was the longest month in history in children's short lives. They had to work every day in the butcher shop with Gine, with no time to go to the shipments in search of missions or breaks to train and play. At night after dinner they went to bed and the idea of escaping to see the fights in the circle, disappeared. Radditz and Kakarrot were so excited to train in the palace halls that if Bardock had set the condition of being a year without getting into trouble, they would have been happy.

It was very easy to send them to bathe and sleep early. Tomorrow they had to get up early to leave with their father who had warned them that he would not wake them and they had waited too long to try their luck.

After midnight, Kakarrot had been sleeping soundly for more than two hours, while his brother, silently and unable to close an eye, observed his father's armor. He couldn't waste time, with the opportunity he was given he had to get his first mission soon. If he couldn't blow up his fighting level with these workouts, he didn't know what else he could do.

He was optimistic, he just couldn't help feeling insecure and full of doubts. His father was a powerful warrior, but his mother was not and that was what did not leave him alone. He was afraid to look like her, after all Kakarrot was the miniature version of his father; therefore his mind as a child of his concluded that he must be her version.

Tomorrow he would train with those green beasts called Saibaiman. His father had warned them that they were very dangerous and should not be trusted because of their size.

Radditz had seen them once. Those critters were the privilege of those who trained in the palace and he had always dreamed of killing one. Tomorrow he would have the opportunity.

Starting tomorrow, everything would change.

Sleep won out over emotion forcing him to close his eyes, his father's armor being the last thing he saw before falling asleep.

The dream had not yet left his body and it was obvious, it was a couple of hours before the sun began to appear, but for his work he had to be in the palace first thing in the morning, to be out of Prince Tarble's room by the time he finished his breakfast. This was one of the few things he didn't like about his job, but it kept him on the planet for as long as he wanted.

He had bigger business holding him back on Vegetasei.

He moaned lazily, his eyes half open, under his sheets a bulge at his waist moved over him, up and down, taking the time that the early hour forced him.

He liked being woken up this way.

Gine was never that awake in the early morning, it had been difficult for her to get used to this new schedule even though it was already a year since Bardock worked at the palace.

Yes, it was difficult for her to stay awake, but she loved being the one to wake him up, anticipating the alarm clock, and taking advantage of the few minutes they had before he had to leave.

"It's late, it's time to get up." - She kissed his abdomen going down to her place of interest.

Bardock blew out weakly, letting her do everything.

"Take care of them," she whispered when she used her hand instead of her mouth to wake him up.

"Take care of what?"

"Bardock!" She lifted the blankets over her shoulders so she could see him. Neither had clothes on.

"You've been repeating the same thing for a month... nothing's going to happen to them. Quiet."

"But they are children."

"Kids who should already be on missions, at least Radditz."

"I just need you to promise me one more time." He had to understand her, she wasn't used to this. She never in her life had the combat level necessary to fight and although she had knowledge in the matter, they were basic compared to the level of Bardock and even their children. Gine on another planet of «normal» people would excel in strength, but on Vegetasei she was a weakling.

"If I promise you, are you going to continue with what you were doing?"

"Promised."

"I promise that nothing will happen to them, what could happen is that they arrive with a Saibaiman head as a gift for you," he said, resting his hands behind his head.

"I could sell it, there are many who eat any kind of meat."

"Their meat is very tough and has a very bad taste... Now go on, it's getting late."

Gine lowered her head to resume the morning game, but a couple of euphoric shouts from the second floor made her sit up.

"You bought them for them." Bardock's tone was somewhat reprimanding. He knew very well the reason for those screams.

"That way I can work in peace and they won't get you in trouble." She got off the bed and dressed in her pajamas. A loose lead-colored T-shirt and lead-colored shorts. "I know about the ritual of getting the first armor, but the occasion was worth it. Later when they go on missions they will buy another." She smiled at him before leaving the room, just in time to see the two boys coming down the stairs in their beaming new combat armor. Both were broad-shouldered like his father's, the difference was that Radditz had the bottom that protected the crotch and sides and Kakarrot only the sides of the legs.

"Where are they?"

"In another room."

"I know, but where." Koora insisted smiling. She was in an excellent mood this morning, besides in the training place there were only her children warming up with a few Saibaiman and she sitting next to Bardock talking. From the first day he decided to stay, she barred Nappa. The big man of course didn't like the idea, but he had no choice but to accept with his typical bland bows. Little did she care if he was going to accuse her with the King, after all he made him withdraw from her when she was present and as long as she was there, Prince Vegeta would not be in any danger. She was sure that he would manage to spy on her, but she had nothing to fear.

"Why is she so interested?" Bardock did not take his eyes off Tarble, rather than attacking, he fled at full speed from the little green beasts while Vegeta did the same every morning: he killed some and when he got bored he threw those that were left alive against his brother. That made him remember the stone game of his children, of course Vegeta was characterized by twisting things.

"Because I just want to see them." On the other hand, she did not take her eyes off him.

"They won't get in trouble, I already warned them."

"That's not why I want to see them."

"I know."

"Then why so many questions? Take me to see them."

Bardock stopped paying attention to Tarble for a few seconds to look at Koora.

"It's an order, soldier." She whispered to him with a smile. That tone sounded like anything but an order from the queen to a soldier who works for her.

As they were observing, they did not see when Tarble, escaping from Vegeta, ran towards them and ducked just in time avoiding a Saibaiman. The adults without problem separated a few centimeters from each other, letting the beast pass between them and end up with its head shattered when it hit the wall.

"I'm done with the warm-up, now what?" The arrogant bored boy looked at his mother and without having sweated a drop while his little brother continued on the floor with his face red and tired, but without any scratch, proof that he had improved somewhat this month of training with the queen.

"That's it, Vegeta." Koora stood up followed by Bardock. "I told you it would only be an hour for today, don't forget to finish your pending tasks and we'll see you tonight."

"I know what I have to do." Today he didn't have training with her mother, but he had thought he would let him be with her. If it were up to him, he would train day and night without stopping.

The heir to the throne left in disgust. Nappa, who hadn't moved from the door, followed him.

"Go? I want to see your children."

"I can't, I have to take care of the prince."

"There will be no problem, I have an idea." She answered, looking at Tarble.

Several rooms from there, Raditz and Kakarotto continued in the room where Bardock had left them after reminding them what would happen to them if they disobeyed him.

The entire month they were fantasizing and talking about the fights they would have with the Saibaiman and now their great expectations were diminishing as the hours passed and they continued to be locked in this room with weights and steel balls, all much heavier than they thought at first, but they cultivated the idea of training like the princes for so many days that all they wanted was that.

"Raditz, let's go." The boy looked out for the fifth time, checking that there was no one in the corridors.

"We can't, we have to wait here," he replied, finishing lifting a couple of weights. It would be nice to have these at home.

"But just for a bit, I want to fight with the «sabiman»"

"They're coming for us, let's wait a little longer."

"How bored you are, Radditz, you would have been the first out before."

"I'm already an adult, I can't be playing with you all the time, if our father said we had to wait here, that's what I'll do."

Kakarrot closed the door with a frown. He was eager to see a close up a «sabiman» but he did not want to venture without his brother, not because he did not dare, but he was used to doing everything with him and did not want to leave him alone.

"You really don't want to go out to see the place?" He wouldn't stop trying. "My dad can take a long time, we'll just go out to watch, we won't touch anything."

Radditz looked at him acceptingly. They had been locked up for so many hours! It was a very large place, but without windows that added to the feeling by giving the idea that they had been waiting twice as long.

"Come on Radditz! We just take a look and come back. No one will ever know."

Before I could answer him, Kakarrot opened the door confident that his brother would accept. They were always the two of them for everything, it couldn't be different.

When leaving so excited, he collided with a pair of legs that left him sitting on the ground, Radditz quickly approached his brother, but when he saw who entered he stopped.

He did not know what scared him more, if he saw his father just when they were going to disobey him or have the queen herself in front of him. He knew her through images, he knew that she was friends with his parents from conversations between drinks that he overheard when former friends from missions came to visit him at home, but he never thought that he would have her in front of him, not even this month dreaming of the Saibaiman had him crossed his mind that he would see her. He had future plans of meeting her and working for her when he was an adult and an outstanding warrior, not seeing her on her first day of training.

On the other hand, the other boy had no idea who the woman was looking at them, but when he saw Radditz bow, he made him stand up and imitate him, raising his head a little to see the woman and if Radditz had already finished.

"Okay kids, rest up." The woman entered with Bardock last and closed the door so that no one would see what would happen inside.

Only then did the children see the third visit, he was a little shorter than Kakarrot, that is why he had gone unnoticed.

Radditz didn't recognize him, but seeing his armor, the colors, and the sign on his chest, he knew at once that he was the youngest son of the kings.

Tarble remained behind Koora, somewhat intimidated by the thick-haired boy, but hiding it like never before, erect and with his chin raised, trying to imitate his brother who did not allow himself to be scared by anything or anyone. When Vegeta was «nice» to him, he always spoke to him that he should be respected, that he should not be diminished before anyone because he was the visible face of the most important planet in the universe.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Radditz and Kakarrot." She would have knelt to see them better and press the youngest son's cheeks. She was not to behave like that with any child she saw, this was because they were the children of someone special to her and that the little one was the exact copy of Bardock she loved.

"The queen has something to tell you," Bardock spoke in an authoritative voice.

"You don't say «has», it's «have» How many times do I have to tell you?"

"But I don't understand, it's very difficult." And I don't want to learn anything from this." Yamcha put the pencil down on the calligraphy pad as Bulma frowned at him.

It took him a few days to get used to his new life underground. Everything was much quieter and safer.

On the second day of their stay, when Bulma wanted to show him her books and realized that the boy could not read, classes began. Yamcha had turned out to be a not very advanced student but that was not an impediment to Bulma, happy that she was the one who taught, as Morgan did with her every day.

Thanks to Yamcha's presence, the days passed faster, making life more bearable; although no less complicated, quite the opposite. The fights — almost all the time started by Bulma — were frequent, having to be controlled by the adults. Explaining that Yamcha was not her toy, but a friend who may not want to do the same things as her.

"Finish writing what I left you and we'll finish for today..." She told him without looking at him. Her attention was on Morgan, who was putting the engine repair aside to retreat to his room. Ever since Yamcha arrived, he had taken the habit of napping during the afternoon, remaining calm because Bulma was not left alone. "He's already gone to sleep, we have an hour to get out," she whispered, going to the steps that led to the steel door.

Yamcha quickly got out of his seat to follow her. "Bulma, we can't go out, they'll kill us right away." The young man was not speaking aloud either. He didn't want to get Bulma in trouble.

The girl had already been planning to surface for a month to finally see the land, the city, her home after so many years. Her privileged memory helped her to have memories with exact details, but with so much time underground she had the need to feel the sun warm her head and the wind ruffle her hair. It was something that she always enjoyed being with her mother in the yard full of her father's pets and that now she wanted to revive for her, she wanted to feel the warmth of her mother through the sun. She didn't ask for anything more.

"That is not like that. I heard my dad talk to Morgan and he is surprised that you still have the skill that was passed on to you."

"Do I still have it?" What are you talking about? I don't feel anything inside of me."

"Morgan is never wrong. You just have to master it and you will block our energy without problem." The children were already at the door that separated them from the maze of corridors and then the surface.

"I don't know how to do that, Bulma. They are going to kill us up there. You don't know what it is like." Yamcha was getting more and more nervous. In the short time living with Bulma he had already learned that she was a girl of character, that she did not care that he was older, he always gave her orders without asking his opinion. "Also you don't have the numbers to..."

The girl's quick fingers entered the six numbers needed to open the door without hesitation, turning the monitor light from red to green. "Are you going to join me? All I want is something from my old room. Nothing bad will happen." Since there was no response, Bulma opened the door without a problem and stepped out into the hallways.

"Bulma, no! If I could control that, I promise I would take care of you, but I don't know how." With no other choice, he followed her. She felt that she loved her little friend so much to leave her alone in an ugly place like that.

"And now where?" The little girl wondered aloud. There was not much light in the place and as soon as they left the road divided into two corridors that the darkness did not allow to see the end of any. "You went through here, where did my dad bring you from?"

"I was unconscious, I don't know."

"Then we go left."

"How do you know it's to the left?" She followed her a step away. He didn't want to lose her for the world.

"I just know."

They had to walk with one hand against the wall, that way they knew when a corridor ended and they had to go the other way. Bulma had not thought that it would be so difficult to find the exit, it was not in her plans to spend so much time looking for a door, with that she did not know if she would reach her room and return without them noticing them.

"While we find our way out, practice hiding our presences."

"And how do I do that?"

"I'm in charge of getting us out of here and you of seeing that."

"Get us out of here?" But I don't want to leave here, up there is horrible."

"I don't want to live upstairs, I just want to go to my room."

"If you knew how ugly it is upstairs, you wouldn't want to go out not even for a while."

"If you don't want to join me, it doesn't matter, but remember that you promised to take care of me."

"Yes Bulma, but I don't …"

He bumped into her back. The darkness was such that he, despite being behind her, did not see when she stopped.

"We will have to go back, there is no other way."

"Yes! Let's go back so Morgan doesn't notice." The boy turned to go back, but Bulma stopped him by taking his hand.

"No, Yamcha, we have to find the entrance, it has to be through some other corridor." Now she put her hand on the other wall, hoping to find the door. The boy followed her without letting go.

After closing the butcher shop and spending a while talking with a friend from another shop, Gine returned home with the meat that she could not sell that day and that her children would take care of finishing at dinner time. It was strange coming home and not hearing the children asking her for food, she had gotten used to being with them all day helping her and then coming home starving. They even made their beds and tidied the room as long as they informed Bardock how well they had been all day. Now she would have to do the boys' room and dinner for the night.

In addition to the unsold meat she also brought a little extra. She knew they would arrive very hungry, so much so that she also bought vegetables. Some said they were good for the body, but because it was working class / non-combatants who commented on the properties of vegetables, they were not taken seriously. She liked them and it felt good to eat them alone, but her children did not and the only way they would eat them was by mixing them with the meat. She would also make lots of rice, Bardock and Kakarrot's favorite dish, and stir fry noodles for herself and Radditz. They loved noodles.

With everything ready and prepared, she thought she had a couple of extra hours before they returned home, but the shrill laughter of her children warned that she would not. Before they could reach the door, the little ones entered with their armor dirty with red and green blood, their faces, arms and legs with cuts and wounds. She immediately knew that it had been the best idea to give them the armor.

She remembered the conversation she had with Bardock when she saw Saibaiman's head that Kakarrot was carrying in his hands.

"For you, Mom!" Shouted the youngest of the family, still excited by the day he had lived.

"Mom! We are training with the Prince and the Queen!" Radditz was not too small in terms of tone of voice.

Gine just smiled and accepted the gift as Bardock walked home.

Planet Earth.

Morgan woke up a little disoriented, his body and mind still not used to the daily nap time, having to spend a few minutes before remembering where he was and in the situation he was in. He did not like it that way, he preferred to always be aware of reality and those minutes of escape were not the same as keeping busy working on the engine, teaching Bulma or talking with his friend.

He glanced at his wristwatch, the one he always left on the nightstand at bedtime. He was surprised when he noticed that he had slept for almost two hours, feeling bad at the thought of how tired Dr. Briefs must be while he was doing nothing.

He got up listlessly and limping slightly. His leg never completely healed after the accident the day they tried to flee from earth, he never understood why, surely being away from his planet or for everything he had experienced, but he did not care now. He had to make food for himself, the children and his friend who always came as if he had not eaten in a week.

He was not in the kitchen for long before the total silence of the place caught his attention, since Yamcha had arrived, it was typical to hear the voice of the two children playing, fighting and Bulma giving instructions. He went to the girl's room and nothing, then to the largest room, the central one, where he used his time trying to fix the engine and parts of the ship and where the children used to play; not finding them, his heart raced. He returned to the kitchen and ran to his friend's room finding it just as empty and silent. Immediately the worst crossed his mind, he felt a blow to his chest that prompted him to run towards the armored door. It couldn't be that they had left, Bulma didn't know the password, much less Yamcha, and he always made sure to lock it securely after Dr. Brief left each morning. If something were to happen to the children, to Bulma, he... he...

"You woke up, did you sleep well?" Asked Bulma sitting in her father's favorite chair, she had a storybook in her hands and was swinging her legs that did not reach the ground. "Did you have a nightmare? You look agitated."

"No, I'm fine," he answered confused. At that moment Yamcha came out of the bathroom with a wet face. "Have you been here the whole time?"

"Yeah." Bulma was the one who spoke, Yamcha's mouth was tight.

The man walked to the exit door. Turning their backs on them, the children looked at each other; he was nervous and she was frowning at him so he wouldn't give himself away. Morgan knocked on the door, it was tightly closed as always, everything in order ... he didn't understand how he hadn't seen the children, he was probably still asleep when he went to check them. That was the only option.

"Is something wrong? Do you want a glass of water?"

"No, princess, I'm fine, don't worry, I'll go make dinner."

"I'll help you." Yamcha went straight to the kitchen. She preferred to be the one to help him because she was very intelligent and clever that she was Bulma for everything, he did not like how she cooked and also he did not want to hear another escape plan. He was sure Morgan was about to catch them. It was so dark and there were so many corridors that at one point they were lost and despite that Bulma insisted that they would walk through it every day during Morgan's naps until they found their way out. He did not like the idea, she did not understand the hell that was up there and he did not have the words to make her understand it.

Morgan glanced at the door once more before retreating into the kitchen. He wasn't entirely convinced with what had happened, but since everything was in order, it must only have been a figment of his imagination.

Coming out of the bathroom after a shower he found the cart with his dinner. There was more food than usual, but it was necessary. He had been training with Bardock's sons for six weeks. He had never been practicing for so long. He now saw Vegeta less and although he missed him, he felt better.

He pulled the cart up to his desk and sat down to eat. He would have liked to have dinner with his mother but he couldn't be like that all the time, he couldn't be with her all day no matter how much he wanted to.

Hungry he put a piece of meat to his mouth listening at the same time, footsteps out of his room and then familiar voices.

"How long do you follow me? You outdo yourself every day in the pathetic."

"I'm sorry, Prince." He didn't know he was coming to see his brother.

"Get out of here, Nappa. Stop following me."

The second later Vegeta entered the boy's room. He closed the door and leaned his back against it.

"Good evening, Vegeta."

"Where have you been?"

Tarble put down the food to look at him in surprise. Vegeta noticed it, speaking right away.

"It's not that I care, the truth is, I can't care less. I'm bored and I stopped by..."

"I was training, Vegeta."

"You training? Yeah right."

"Yes, Vegeta, I have special training, that's why we don't see each other like we used to," he smiled adding. "I've missed you too."

"Don't talk nonsense, I came to ask because I was bored, not because I missed you or something, I'm much more comfortable without you. Since you're not bothering me, I've been able to improve considerably… And what special training are you doing?" He walked to the cart pulling out a piece of bread.

"I can't tell you."

"Why not?"

"Because it's a secret."

"Who says it's a secret?"

"My mom."

"You and your little secrets with her."

"If you want you can train with me, so we can spend more time together and not just when we study."

"Forget it. I have better things to do."

"So stay for dinner with me, I don't like eating alone."

"Are you going to tell me what that special training is about?"

"I can't."

"Then I'm going, coming here ended up boring me more."

"But we can talk about other thi..."

Vegeta left the room.

"The circle?" Tarble asked.

"Yes, the circle. Don't you know it?" Kakarrot replied in a low voice.

The two children were hiding behind some rocks while Radditz was in charge of stopping the Saibaiman.

It was still hard for the older brother, but in these two months of training, going to the palace three times a week, he had advanced, although not enough for his liking, so he did not stop for a second and in the hour of collation he kept focused planning new attacks so he could deal with those damn green things that had already hurt him too much. His next plan was to fight without armor like Tarble had told his brother to do. It would be a dream for Radditz to meet Prince Vegeta, so young and powerful. If he saw him train he could try to imitate him and getting to fight him would be another dream come true.

As for the other two children, they had hit it off quite a bit, so much so that Bardock had to call their attention several times a day so that they would stop talking and start training, of course the challenges were going to his son, he didn't say anything to Tarble.

Kakarrot had surprised everyone. Although he was not a great strategist, he always managed to get his way in fights based on brute force and stubbornness, of course if it had not been for the armor, his intestines would have already ended up scattered throughout the room. As a child, everything was a game for him.

Koora usually accompanied them, but when it coincided with Vegeta's training she stayed with him so they wouldn't bump into each other. She preferred it to be that way. She didn't want to get Bardock's children in trouble or give them a hard time. When she couldn't be with Tarble and the other two children, the man was in charge of the supervision.

"No, I've never heard of that."

"We have to go one night."

"But I can't go out at night."

"Yes you can, you are the prince and you can do whatever you want."

"Do you escape at night?"

"All the time, but we stopped doing it so we could come to train here."

"I wouldn't want to see two men kill each other."

"No problem, they also kill themselves between women," he said with a big smile trying to convince him.

"And what do you do at night besides going to those places?"

"We train, we have dinner with our parents, we also go out to play with stones or fight with other children."

They stopped the conversation when they saw Bardock's leg at his side. The two of them got to their feet and ran to help Radditz who was in trouble.

If they continued like this in a few months they would be with the strongest green dwarfs, those that Vegeta killed as if they were a small insect. Tarble didn't like it because he already knew them, but the other two children were fascinated by the idea.

After a while the three of them ate sitting on the floor and since Bardock was absent at lunchtime, they could talk more freely.

"Don't be boring, Radditz." He spoke through a mouthful of rice. "We're going to play at night, now we're stronger and stupid Turles isn't going to bother us, now we could break his ass for what he did to us last time."

Although he didn't want to, he loved that idea. It would be fantastic to be able to defeat that conceited man who, due to being lucky, had beaten him and was already on missions, but he was afraid that his father would discover him and not allow him to train again in these places.

"I would like to go out at night, but not to fight." He wiped his mouth with a napkin when he finished lunch, "although I don't know how to escape the palace."

"It's easy! You wait for your parents to fall asleep and that's it!"

"That doesn't sound difficult."

"No! And we can go to the forest to play, I bet Radditz I'll hit you with all the stones this time."

Radditz was still silent without answering anything. Kakarrot was overflowing with spirits, passing it on to Tarble a bit.

"How is that about the game of stones?"

"It's very easy, I throw them and Radditz has to dodge them and if they hit him he can't scream." He stood up looking for something that could serve as a stone, the only thing he found similar were the steel balls that he had to take with both hands because of how heavy they were.

"Sounds better than training with the Saibaiman." He also stood following Kakarrot, meanwhile Radditz continued to eat. "I don't like them."

"I do, I always bring a Saibaiman head to my mom." Without warning, he threw one of the balls toward his brother who had his back to him. The boy shook his head to the left to avoid it.

When the ball hit the ground it made a crack. It was too heavy.

"You are very slow, the stones weigh less." The young man with long hair went to his brother taking a ball, it also felt heavy, but he could do it with one hand.

"Throw them at me," he spoke with more personality than usual. Sharing with the brothers had done him very good.

"Are you sure?" Radditz looked at the ball and then at Tarble. It was like having his younger brother in front of him, with the difference that with Kakarrot he would not have hesitated to throw it. He found him extremely weak.

"Yes, my mom tells me to practice with speed, I'm good at that."

Radditz continued thoughtfully, but Kakarott didn't wait, throwing the ball towards the prince.

Tarble jumped back amusedly waiting for more. The brothers immediately began the attack, having to be especially careful with the balls that Radditz threw. Laughter quickly flooded the place for the strange poses he made to dodge. Everything became faster and more abrupt until a ball brushed his leg, distracting him to the point of not seeing the one coming towards his face, hitting him on the forehead with such force that it threw him to the ground.

The prince lay motionless on his back.

"Did you kill him?" Kakarrot approached him carefully.

"Don't say that!"

Suddenly fear invaded them. If they killed the prince, surely the death penalty awaited them.

Tarble sat dizzy and with blood on his forehead that dripped onto his armor and a little onto the ground. He watched the brothers for a few seconds before bursting out laughing, bringing his hand to his forehead. He hurt terribly, but for some strange reason the whole situation made him laugh a lot.

Kakarrot was the first to catch Tarble's laughter and despite being nervous, Radditz also gave up laughing just as hard.

The noise of the door slamming shut them down.

"So this was your secret training." Vegeta leaned against the wall with his arms crossed.

Radditz immediately recognized him and saluted with a stiff bow. Kakarrot had no idea who he was, but he imitated his brother.

Tarble stood up, wiping his forehead with his glove.

"I see they brought you something more pathetic than the Saibaiman for training." He commented mockingly, approaching the children.

Radditz dropped his bow when he heard that, he didn't understand why those words, but he didn't like it at all.

"They are my friends, Vegeta."

"Now you make friends with the Saibaiman?" Only he laughed.

"We are not «sabiman»!" He exclaimed angrily. Kakarott just left the bow, he had not noticed that his brother had done it, "we are Saiyans just like—!"

Raditz took him by the nape of his neck, cutting himself to keep him silent and not move anymore.

Vegeta walked around the boys as if he was examining them. Tarble neglected the blood on his brother's hanging forehead.

"I don't bring my scouter, but they are surely weaker than the green dwarves."

Kakarrot wanted to answer him again, but Radditz's grip this time was with his fingernails.

"How could you have gotten hit by them, Tarble?" He was really upset. It was a shame to his family that he allowed himself to be hurt by two weak vermin.

"That doesn't matter, we were playing and it didn't even hurt."

"They were brought for you to train, not to play, Tarble. If you keep going like this you're going to end up in exile on some forgotten planet in the galaxy."

The boy did not know what to answer him, he simply looked at the ground hoping that Bardock or his mother would arrive soon.

"Apparently I'll have to teach you… Since they're your new training beasts, I imagine I can fight them too." He pulled his armor off, tossing it to the ground.

Radditz and Tarble looked at him intently. Kakarrot was still angry.

"Vegeta, don't do it, we were playin—"

"Stop saying that! If the Queen has not been able to educate you, I will. Well? Which of the two will fight with me? The dwarf or the hairsplash. Or if you wish you can both attack at the same time."

Radditz took a step forward.

Vegeta smirked.
