Chapter four: They break loose...

"Do you have a five?"

"No, Gin."

Wakko raised an eyebrow, "We're playing go fish."

As quickly as he could manage, he shifted positions towards where he previously sat, "Right."

Wakko sighed as he looked at the cards in his hands. He shuffled them and did a few tricks, throwing the cards into the air and back into the pile. He smiled as he watched the cards fly in unison, listening to the sound of cards and smelling the laminated paper. It was no fun when there was no one there to see them, so he put the card deck behind him. "Man, I am really getting bored of playing with myself," he mumbled. When he caught his choice of words, he giggled, "Never thought I'd actually say that."

He knew that if his brother were here, he'd throw in his little catchphrase. But Yakko wasn't here, and neither was his sister.

Alone, Wakko sat on the dirt floor of an old abandoned circus. The only source of light came shown from the top of the round tent. It gave the circus stage a dark orange hue, almost like a broad spotlight in the center ring. The white and red tent walls swayed in and out softly, making soft sounds as the wind hit them, sometimes crashing into the bleachers where the audience would sit. It gave Wakko an unsettling feeling. He was never scared of being in a circus, but he was never in an abandoned one, and when he did go, clowns were never welcomed. Luckily, he didn't see any dancing around. Not yet, at least.

He looked around and took in his environment. There were props scattered along the dirt ground. Rings, giant hula hoops, and walking stilts could be seen from where Wakko was sitting. Curiosity got the best of him as he got up and walked closer to them. He knew that this would be one of the few chances in which he'd be able to play with them without any repercussions. He picked up one of the hula hoops and ran with it, letting it roll out onto the ground before he hopped inside. He's been to a few circuses with his siblings before, usually accompanied by Scratchnsniff, Bugs, Foghorn, Daffy, and if they were lucky, Heloise. He loved watching the people and toons roll around inside the hoops. They always looked like they were having the time of their lives, giggling and laughing. He had always wanted to try it, but Yakko would stop him. Something about not stealing the spotlight from the performers.

He giggled to himself as he rolled around, letting the hoop take him to nowhere in particular. The joy ride lasted for a few minutes before he crashed into a wooden pillar that rose from the side of the tent. He fell over and landed on his stomach with a thud. Dusting himself off from the dried-up mixture of grass, hay, and dirt, Wakko looked up to see what had caused him to crash. At first, he thought it was one of the beams that raised the tent, but he smiled when he realized what it really was. It was the beam at the end of one of the tightropes.

He began climbing it. The wood was soft; it had almost a wetness to it as if it had been left out in the rain. Wakko knew it wasn't a good sign, but that didn't stop him. If he were to fall, he wouldn't get hurt. He was a toon designed for destruction.

Wakko climbed the ladder and made it about halfway before he heard the faint sound of footsteps walking around. He looked down and panned the circus floor, but he couldn't see anything that could have possibly produced such a sound. So, he continued to climb up.

"Don't go up too high!"

Wakko jumped at the sudden noise. He looked down, and standing right at the bottom was none other than Nickelwise himself. He swallowed his fear and plastered a large smile on his face. "Hello!"

He proceeded to slide down the latter, but before Wakko could hit the ground, Nickelwise grabbed him by his sweater and held him up to eye level. The clown looked at the kid's face, tongue hanging out by the side of his mouth with a goofy smile. It disgusted him. "Hello there, little one. How have you been?"

Wakko, glad that he wasn't holding him from his scruff, lightly poked the clown's nose before replying, "I've been good! Do you wanna play with me?"

The kid was showing no sign of fear; he looked almost excited to see him. Wakko had this child-like energy to him, and Nickelwise was beginning to wonder if he really was older than his sister. The way he acts sometimes, anyone would have assumed he was the youngest.

With the lack of response coming from Nickelwise, Wakko internally rolled his eyes. It was up to him to get his attention. "Let's play! Let's play! Let's pl-"

Nickelwise covered the boy's mouth with his hand. "Aren't you supposed to be the quiet one?"

"Only when it matters," he replied, shifting his mouth out from under him. He giggled when he saw Nickelwise's look of annoyance. "So, wanna play?"

"Oh, don't worry, I have a fun game in store for us!"

Wakko clapped his hands together in excitement, "Really!?" He grabbed his hat and slipped out of his sweater, releasing himself from the clown's grasp. "Is it Tag?!" he asked as he snatched his blue sweater from Nickels. He quickly threw it back on and began to run around him in circles.

Nickelwise didn't have time to react. He felt the young Warner tap on his shoulders and watched him run around in circles around the circus.

Wakko ran through the rows of empty seats on the bleachers and over the equipment lying around. "Catch me!"

Nicklwise groaned. He found it weird that he was acting so... normal. Sure, he behaved as if he had just eaten 16 cups of espresso, but that was normal for the Warners. But he could have sworn Wakko was feeling a bit scared moments before. Was it due to the solitude? Because the fear was no longer there. Therefore, Nickelwise didn't have the energy to engage in any play, not using Wakkos fear alone. Luckily, he always had his oldest Warner fear stash to take from.

He watched as Wakko ran around, calling after him to chase and tag him. He lost sight of the kid for a brief moment before spotting him at the top of the wooden slap on the ladder he was previously climbing. Nickelwise had no idea how he got there quickly, but he didn't have any time to waste. He made it over and started climbing it himself.

Wakko looked down, "Come on, put some effort into it." He extended his hand down to him, gesturing to grab on so he could pull him up, but as soon as the clown reached out, he pulled his hand back. "Ah Ah Ah, silly clown! Did you really think I was gonna let you tag me that easy?"

Nickelwise smiled, "Silly me, what was I thinking?"

Wakko stood up and stepped onto the rope that was tied to the end of the wooden slab. He carefully took a step, then another, and another. He kept his hands out by his side for balance but found that he was fine without it. Wakko put his arms back down beside him and steadily walked along the rope. These were the times he was happy he was a toon.

It wasn't before long when he felt the rope move underneath him.

He saw the clown swaying the rope with a sickening smile on his face. "Tsk tsk tsk," Wakko shook his finger in disapproval, "That's pretty rude, clown man. Learn to wait your turn."

Nickelwise was surprised to see that Wakko hasn't fallen yet. He shook the rope faster, but all the kid did was jump around with it, giggling and laughing along. He saw Wakko jump off of it, gracefully landing on the ground. "Finally," the clown murmured as he climbed back down to the floor.

Wakko bounced on his feet, eagerly waiting for the clown to make it down. He needed to distract him, get him annoyed so he could use it to his own advantage. Wakko had to find a way to get to his siblings, and he knew that the clown was his only way out.

"You're in a good mood," Nickelwise said with a smile that displayed his teeth. "Aren't you worried about your baby sister Dotty? Or your older brother Yakko?"

Wakko glared at the clown, the smile that was previously on his face gone. "Don't call her Dotty," Wakko said before looking around the circus. His smile returned, "Did you hide them here? Oh! Are we gonna play Hide and seek?"

"No!" Nickelwise was tired of the games. He was using up too much of his energy on the most unnecessary things. If he wanted his plan to work, he knew that he had to move quickly. Nickelwise smiled back at the kid, "Oh Wakko, don't worry, you'll see them soon." He snapped his fingers, changing the scenery behind them. He figured bringing him to a calmer setting would calm him down. He'd be easier to scare when he wasn't distracted.

Wakko looked around and noticed they were now in a school. It didn't take a genius to know that toon trick. Snapping fingers, pulling down the imaginary screen, these were all tricks that Yakko had introduced to him. After some help and guidance from Bugs, Pink Panther, and other big stars, he'd learned to polish his skill. He saw the clown snap, so who's to say his fingers didn't work either? It was worth a shot. He smiled and brought his middle finger to his thumb, and flicked them together. Sure enough, just as he had expected, the scenery changed.

Because neither Dot nor Yakko could use their hammerspace or any of their toon abilities for that matter, Nickelwise was surprised to see Wakko use them with ease. He had figured Wakko had lost his toon abilities as well, but he soon realized he was mistaken.

Before having a chance to say or do anything else, they both found themselves in a snapping war. Rapidly switching through different scenes and scenery. Wakko had tried his best to keep up with the clown, but some of his attempts were inefficient, and others took them places he didn't mean to go. Don't get him wrong, he was good, but he wasn't that good yet. Wakko took them to Cocomo, Machu Pichu, Vegas, and the pyramids in Egypt, to name a few. He knew he needed to concentrate. He could almost hear his older brother's voice in his head, telling him to focus on his siblings.

When he was first learning the magic of snap switching, Yakko had told him to think really hard about the place he wanted to teleport to so that his snaps had a clear destination. So, he took a breath and began to put all of his energy into focusing. Wakko could hear the frustrated groans of the clown in front of him, but he didn't let it distract him. He needed to get to his sibs, and luckily for him, his strength didn't run on a limited supply dependent on others.

Wakko continued to snap his fingers, enjoying the friendly competition he was having with the clown in front of him. He thought about his sister and his older brother. He found it much easier to focus on Dot, but not because he played favorites. Wakko could never choose between his siblings, but because he knew that she probably needed him the most, he decided to focus on her first. Besides, Wakko knew his brother. He was sure that Yakko had everything under control on his end; hell, he probably had the same thought process. The snapping continued, and Wakko showed no signs of stopping. He was sure he would need an ice pack after this is all over.

Nickelwise was getting dizzy. While he was amazed at what Wakko was capable of, he knew that he was getting closer to Dot. He had to lead him further back. But it was no use. When he heard the feminine voice of the youngest Warner yelling in the background, he knew there was nothing more he could do. Luckily for him, his plans revolved around him bringing them together. He just wasn't expecting it to have it done as quickly as Wakko had done.

The sound of his sister's voice flooded him with relief. He was able to find her, and it was all thanks to his brother. With the clown was too busy snapping his fingers together, Wakko grabbed his mallet from his hammerspace, and he slammed it down on the unexpecting clown. He looked around to find the voice and saw his sister's silhouette at the other end of the room. He ran to her, almost falling on his face before he realized he was on a flight of stairs.

"Wakko!" Dot yelled as she tried to turn around to see him, "Over here!"

He ran towards her, jumping over the seats that led all the way down. As he got closer, he could see Dot sitting in one of the benches, restrained. Wakko could almost see red. He grabbed a pair of scissors from behind him and snipped off the belt. "How long has he kept you like this?"

Dot rolled her eyes. "He said he was gonna show me a movie, but he ghosted me," she shrugged, "but never mind that, are you okay?" She pulled him into a hug, wincing at the pain around her waist. The belt had dug into her skin, and she was sure it was bruised. With all the moving, tugging, and pulling she was doing, she wouldn't be surprised if it was.

"You can't use your hammerspace?" Wakko asked as he pulled out a cloth bandage and tied it around her waist. "Where else does it hurt?"

"Just my waist," she softly replied as she adjusted the bandage. "Nothing I can't handle."

Wakko smiled, "I'm sure Yakko could fix you up when we find him."

"He wasn't with you?" Dot asked.

Before Wakko could reply, the sound of angry footsteps got closer.

Dot looked over and saw Nickelwise get closer to them. "This clown has been nothing but a tease the entire time. I wonder if he'll finally make a move now."

Wakko snickered, "Goodnight, everybody!"

"Prepare for trouble, Penny Stupid!" Dot shouted. She stood on the edge of the seat.

"And make it double!" Wakko added in. He grabbed his gag bag and pulled out a rope. He quickly untangled it and threw one end over towards his baby sister.

She caught it, laughing as she ran towards the clown, holding the end of the rope in her hands and making circles around him.

Wakko ran around too, but he added in a few pies for flavor. He laughed as he chucked one pie after another, making a mess of the walls, carpet, and clown.

Nickelwise had no idea how the hell he ended up in this situation. He had a plan, a well-thought-out plan for each of the Warners, and so far, it seemed like only one of them was working. He was now finding himself tangled between the rope and covered in sweet sticky cream.

"Alright, that's it!" Nickelwise pulled his arms over the rope, grabbed onto one of the ends, and forcefully tugged it towards him. The sharp motion was enough to cause the youngest Warner to lose her balance and stumble forwards.

Dot stuck her hands out in front of her to keep herself from falling onto the stairs, but instead of feeling the ground, she felt cold hands grab onto her arm. Nickelwise picked her up and threw her over his shoulder.

She tried to call out, but Nickelwise slapped tape over her mouth.

Wakko ran over to her, but Nickelwise picked him up by his scruff- again- and dragged him down the stairs. There was nothing he could do. Not with limp limbs anyway. He looked up at the clown, and rage overtook him. How dare he.

They both fell on top of each other when Nickelwise threw them back on the bench in the very front row.

"Rude," Dot scoffed. "You wouldn't treat your mother this way, now would you?"

Nickelwise smiled. He found an opening. "Well, at least I have one. What is it you have again?"

Dot furrowed her brows, "Oh wow, throw the dead mom around; why don't you?"

Wakko rolled his eyes at the clown, "How insensitive."

"We have something even better," Dot said as she sat up. She hoped that Nickelwise didn't tie them down this time. She wasn't looking forward to more bruises.

"Is that so?" Nickelwise asked, leaning down closer to her.

She nodded her head, "We have the best brother in the whole wide world."

"The best? Nonsense, there is no such thing as the best, is there?" Nickelwise added air quotes around his words.

Wakko cut into the conversation. He wasn't going to let anyone talk down on his brother, let alone a clown that's about to meet his fate. "Watch yourself, Yakko's great. Sure, he had his moments, but he's an amazing brother."

Nickelwise shrugged, "Well, I think I have something that might convince you otherwise."

Wakko wasn't sure what the clown meant by that. He looked over at his sister, who gave him a shrug. He couldn't think of anything that could possibly lead them to change their opinion about their brother. Dot was looking at him with unease, and Wakko knew that she was getting worried. Nickelwise was on thin ice with him.

"What did you do to him?" Dot asked, concerned.

The clown simply laughed. The sound of his laughter filling up the theater. "I didn't do anything wrong! Why it's quite the opposite, really. It's more along the lines of what he did to himself!"

The theater lights dimmed down, having the small row of tiny bulbs outline the steps of the cinema. Nickelwise grabbed a remote and flicked the big screen on. He was now giggling like a maniac.

Wakko could hear the eerie music start to play, sending chills up his spine. He's been doing so good with keeping his emotions in check. If it were up to him, he would have blown the clown to pieces by now. But he still had to find his brother, and the clown was his only method to do so. As he sat there, sitting next to his sister and watching the clown laugh and dance around, the thought of having him smothered onto the floor became much more appealing.

While it wasn't a dramatic shift in emotions, Nickelwise could begin to feel fear emerge again. "Remember kids," he began to announce, "Keep your cellphones and mouths off during the movie."

Dot leaned over to Wakko, "Finally."

The room went completely dark. Dot reached over to hold her brother's arm. She wasn't scared or anything; she just wanted to make sure he didn't disappear out of nowhere. She didn't want to be alone in a theater again.

There wasn't anything paying on the screen just yet, but the faint sound of someone talking could be heard. It was almost as if the voices were coming from another room. It sounded foggy. Neither Dot nor Wakko could make out who the voice belonged to, but as the sound traveled closer, the clearer it became.

Wakko took a breath. Whatever was about to happen, he needed to remain calm. Yakko wasn't here, not physically anyway. But he recognized the voice that came through the speakers. With what the clown had just hinted at, he needed to mentally prepare himself for what he could possibly see. He glanced over at his sister. While he couldn't see her well, the grip she had on his arm got tighter. Wakko reached over and grabbed Dot's hand, holding it steady. He gave it a squeeze telling her it was okay.

The talking got louder and a lot more clearer. Dot could now begin to recognize her own voice. The voices wavered before getting quiet again. There was a moment of silence before the sound of a loud crash, followed by the sound of glass falling onto the ground, filled the room. What was she doing? She didn't film anything like this- she would have remembered.

"Fine! Leave for all we care! You already proved you hate us!"

Her heart stopped. The talking suddenly stopped too. Only the static sounds coming from the speakers lining the walls could be heard.

"I never said that," she whispered. She looked around the room but could see anything, "I never said that!"

She felt a hand on her shoulder, gently pushing her back down against the seat. "Shhh, the clown just wants a reaction, don't give it to him."

"No!" She pushed the hand away, "I would never"-

Wakko grabbed his sister's arm and gently pulled her down, "It's for reaction, don't give it to him," he whispered to her.

The screen lit back up. The sudden brightness in the room caused the two siblings to flinch away and shield their eyes. When their vision adjusted, they couldn't believe what they were seeing.

Wakko let out a soft gasp, and Dot didn't say anything at all. They both watched their older brother projected onto the screen.

Yakko was sitting behind a table, resting his head on his shoulder. It looked like he was drawing something on the table with his finger. They couldn't hear anything anymore, but he seemed to be crying. They have never seen their brother look so distressed.

Dot got up and stood on the bench, facing the rows behind her, "What are you doing to him?!" She shrieked. "It's not gonna work; he'll outsmart you easy! Come back here and"-

Wakko cut off her rant with a tug at her skirt, pointing towards the screen. It was fast-forwarding and rewinding, showing clips of Yakko going through hell and back, literally. Wakko didn't say anything- he had nothing to say. He was at a loss of words with what was being portrayed to him. He's never seen his brother cry. Ever. Watching him break down in front of him hurt. He could feel his own eye well up with tears of frustration.

However, there was an emotion he was feeling that was much more powerful than sadness. It was making his fur stand on end, and he could feel his claws itching to come out.

How dare Nickelwise.

Dot, on the other hand, was far from fury. She didn't like seeing her brother upset, and knowing that it was her fault made it ten times worse. She would never say such a hurtful thing to her brother. Yet, she heard her voice loud and clear in the speakers. "Where is he?" she said out loud to no one in particular.

Wakko shrugged. He wished he knew where the clown was keeping him. Being the only one with access to his hammerspace that everything fell onto his shoulders. Wakko pulled out his gag bag and quickly began to dig around, going as fast as he could before he found what he was looking for.

Nickelwise appeared in the seats behind them. He tapped on their shoulders, causing them to jump. "Enjoying the show?"

"Where is he!? Where do you have him?!" Dot screamed.

The clown gave no reply, just a shit-eating grin before disappearing back into the dark in a fit of giggles.

Giggles, giggles, and more giggles sprinkled around the theater.

Wakko didn't need to locate the sound; he knew where Nickelwise was precise. He was tired of having the clown play tricks on them. He's been able to maneuver through all of his plays, easy. The clown was lucky he was in a good mood, but he had just crossed the line. Mess with him, sure. Hold him by his scruff, whatever. But no one- and he means no one- has the right to mess with his siblings.

Without giving it a second thought, Wakko grabbed his mallet, complete with metal spikes and all, and ran towards Nickelwise in the dark. He had tunnel vision, ignoring all of his surroundings and pinpointing the clown. He didn't hesitate to bring the mallet down on him as hard as he could. He brought it up and swung it down again and again. He could hear pennywise get crushed underneath his force, but he could care less. Fuck toon theory; if he ended up killing the clown, then so be it.

Dot ran towards him and the smashed clown on the floor. She knew Wakko could get aggressive, but she's never seen him go so far before. Given the circumstances they were currently under, she couldn't blame him. She had one brother having a breakdown and the other attempting murder; she had help. As Dot tried to reach into her hammerspace, she found that it was still gone. "Damn it!" She growled as she tried and tried again. She was getting desperate, and she knew she needed to calm down, but she couldn't. There was too much going on around her for her to stay calm and think clearly. She could feel herself start to cry.

Seeing her struggle, Wakko tossed his gag bag over towards her. He looked at the clown, who was a mess of colors on the carpet, and back towards his sister. "Find something!"

Nickelwise, although smashed on the floor, was smiling. With Wakko having ceased his violence, he managed to sit up and point towards the screen. "Look at him! This is my favorite part!"

Dot didn't turn to see. Instead, she pulled out a rocket launcher and aimed it at the clown. "Shut up! Yakko isn't afraid of you."

"Are you sure," the clown laughed, "because the movie says otherwise!" Nickelwise jumped up and popped back into form, dusting off the dust from his outfit. "Look at him! You're brother's sarcasm... It's all anger and resentments masked in humor!"

Nickelwise snapped his fingers and disappeared from where he was sitting and reappearing in front of the screen.

Wakko took a step back, cursing at himself for giving him an opening.

"Look at all that repressed sadness! Aww, too bad you two can't do anything about it." Nickelwise giggled and laughed some more. He looked at Wakko and decided to play along with Wakkos antics. Just like the Warners, he was a toon too. He could handle a bit of a beating and a few dynamite blasts here and there. He was glad it was working.

Dot was about to pull the trigger and knock him back down onto the ground, but Wakko stopped her. He pointed towards the screen. Did he want her to shoot the screen?

"I'll distract him; stop the video!"

"But Yakko-"

"I think I know where he is," Wakko called out, as he snapped his fingers, "Just shoot the screen!"

It was true; Wakko had an idea for where his brother could be. The only reason why he was able to get to his sister was due to the focus he had on her. Granted, he didn't put much effort into getting to his older brother, but he felt him close. As he snapped his fingers, he thought about Yakko, putting in the same, if not, more focus on getting to him. But after a few attempts, he found that they didn't go anywhere. That only meant one thing: He was here with them. They just needed to find out where.

What? Did Nickelwise think he was stupid? Sure, he might not be as talkative as his brother or as sassy as his sister, but he had a brain, and he knew how to use it.

Dot looked over at the giant screen with his sobbing older brother still on it. He had his head held in his hands, and Dot felt herself tear up along with him. Now wasn't the time for empathy, now was the time for destruction. She followed her brother's orders, and she crouched down and placed the long end of the launcher on her shoulders. Dot closed one eye to aim at the screen. She felt her hands start to shake, and she didn't know if it was because she was about to shoot at her brother or because the launcher was way too heavy for her. Either way, the adrenaline flowing through her was enough for her to steady herself, aim, and pull the trigger.

Wakko watched and pulled down his ears as an immense explosion filled the room.

Nickelwise was expecting something much smaller, and at first, he didn't think the explosion caused much damage. But when he saw the dust clear out, he knew he was about to be defeated.

If he were being honest, Nickelwise had accepted his fate from the very beginning. These were the Warners- there was a reason why they were kept locked within the water tower. They were all too smart for their own good. At least the kids in Derry were all idiots. However, he did enjoy the ride while it lasted.

Wakko ran towards his sister, picking her up from the ground and taking the metal weapon away. He felt his sister grab onto his sweater as she pulled herself up from the now dusty carpet.

Dot looked at the damage she had caused, rather impressed with what she did. However, she knew that she didn't have time to sit back and admire her work; Dot had a brother she needed to find. "Yakko?" She screamed as she waved the dust and rubble away from her face.

Wakko looked in the same direction, crossing his fingers in hopes that he was right. That was the only place he could think of where Nickelwise could have kept him. He followed his sister closer to the front of the theater.

As Dot got closer, she could see begin to make out someone sitting on the floor, shielding themselves from the falling debris. "Yakko!"

Wakko felt relief flood through him. He was right; he needed to learn how to trust himself a lot more. Looking back towards the clown, he felt a surge of energy and confidence flow through him. It could all just be in his head, but he felt much more assured when both his siblings were present.

He located the clown and snapped his fingers for a different purpose this time. He could hear an anvil, followed by a grand piano and metal cage, fall on top of the clown. That should hold Nickelwise back for a while.

Wakko ran over to Yakko and almost knocked him over in a hug. Dot was picking off small rocks and dirt off of his fur as she clung to him. As never, Wakko began to speak as fast as he could, telling him about the clown, how they found him, and where he was.

It took Yakko a moment to realize what was going on. He could hear his brother's voice talking to him, but as much as he wanted to listen, he had no idea what he was saying. Partly because his ears were still ringing. Dot was also clinging onto him, and Yakko gently hugged her back. Disorientation was a bitch; he rubbed his eyes and looked at the new room, taking in all the different scenery. His brother kept talking, which surprised him because he rarely word vomits often, but he didn't understand what he was referring to.

"-and then Dot blew up the room!"

"Oh," Yakko replied as he pretended to know what he was talking about. "Wait"-

"It was all fake, Yakko! I swear!" Dot said as she leaned into his chest and hugged him tightly. "I would never say that! Never!"

Things began clicking in his brain. Words began to make sense. Looking at both of his siblings, he felt relief flow through him. He pulled both of his siblings into the tightest hug he could muster up. He was exhausted, but having both his siblings, his real siblings, here with him made everything just a bit more manageable.

Yakko heard a noise coming from far up into the theater. He could see Nickelwise get up from under the anvil. Instincts took over, and he gently let go of his siblings. He gestured over towards the clown, causing both of the younger Warners to turn towards it.

Dot and Wakko looked over and back at their brother. Now that Yakko was back, they followed his lead. And Yakko knew this; his siblings needed him to guide them.

"Welp," Yakko said as he got up from the floor, "I guess it's time to make him our new special friend." Instinctively, he reached into his hammerspace, relieved to find that it was back, and grabbed poster paper, a pen, and some string.

They all went towards the clown, who was now outside of the cage. The Warners innocently stood in front of him, with a smile on each of their faces.

Nickelwise sighed, knowing that with all three of them back together, hell was about to break loose. He looked at Yakko, who appeared to be running on three hours of sleep, but he still had this gleam in his eyes.

"You wanna know what you are to us, Mr. Clown?" Wakko asked as he pointed up to him.

Yakko jumped up and quickly placed the handmade sign around his neck; and kissed his cheek.

Before Nickelwise had the chance to read what it said, he felt cold frosting slam into his face.

"That's for thinking you could separate us and get away with it!" Dot said.

"And this," Wakko slammed his mallet down over the clown's head, "is for thinking you could beat us in our own game!"

"And this," Yakko added as he snapped his fingers, a bouquet of roses and dynamite appearing in his hands. "Well, this is just because I feel like it." Yakko handed the flowers over and hopped down, watching as the gunpowder exploded in the clown's face. "Hey Waks," Yakko called out without taking his eyes off Nickelwise.

"Yes?" Wakko asked as he grabbed his gag bag, ready to reach inside and grab whatever his brother needed.

"Go ham."

A sinister smile spread across Wakkos face as he reached in and grabbed ham still on the bone.

"Meat?" Nickelwise laughed, "You're gonna beat me with meat?"

"No," Wakko said as he ate the meat of the bone, leaving it clean.

Yakko proudly watched as his brother locked eyes with the clown and snapped the bone in half. The sound of breaking bones echoed throughout the dimly lit room.

Nickelwise stumbled back, holding his hands up in surrender. He didn't like the look in Wakkos eyes. While he was a toon, he could still feel pain, and it didn't take a genius to know that there was a possibility of murder on the kid's mind. "Okay! You win! You want a prize?!" He laughed, "I'll save you the trouble and escort myself out."

"Aww," Dot leaned on Wakkos shoulder, "But you haven't met him yet!" She noticed the clown's bewildered look, so she took it upon herself to ease his confusion. She grabbed her brother's gag bag and pulled out a small box.

"Oh ho ho," Yakko took a step back from Nickelwise, "I'd let him sniff your hand before you reach out to pet it."

Dot smiled and opened the box. In seconds, a vile creature reached out with a screech that could break the glass. She laughed as she watched Nickelwise shield himself from the drops of spit and goo that dripped from the plant.

"Isn't he adorable?" Wakko asked as he tightened the grip on the bones.

Nickelwise took a step back and looked at each of the Warners. "Fine. I'll back off! But let one thing be clear..."

Dot closed the box back up and placed it back into her hammerspace. She did it out of habit, and it surprised her to find that it was back. She looked up at Wakko, giving him an excited smile. Her brother returned the smile before turning his attention back on the manic clown.

Yakko grabbed his sibling and stepped in front of them when he saw the clown lean in close to them. He didn't flinch back or look away when the clown came nose to nose with him.

"Stay off of my lot." He poked Yakko's chest, "Especially you. You are easy to scare." He laughed, and he stepped backward.

"Says the one that's walking out of the fight!" Wakko shot back, grabbing on his brother's arm.

Nickelwise looked at him and smiled. He wasn't looking forward to dying anytime soon, especially not by the hands of a toon that gets a reputation for his appetite. He shifted his attention to the eldest Warner and tapped on his own temples before disappearing into the dark and leaving them alone in the theater.

Yakko stood there, watching the clown leave. He hated that he was right. Shaking the thought out of his head, he turned to look at both his sibs. With the clown gone, he was able to finally talk to his siblings in peace. "I was kinda looking forward to beating the shit outta him... but anyway, are you two alright?"

"We should be asking you that question," Wakko replied. He tossed the broken bones aside.

Yakko looked at his sister, "Is that a bandage?"

Dot nodded, "It doesn't hurt anymore. Wakko fixed me up."

"I didn't know how to tie it correctly but"-

-"No," Yakko cut him off and patted his head, "You did well."

Wakko smiled at the praise and watched his older brother walk back towards the front.

"Well, time to find a way out of here, I guess." Yakko ran his hand through his hair as he looked around the room. There had to be a way out of here somehow. He looked around and sighed when he couldn't find an exit.

Dot and Wakko exchanged looks as they followed him back in front of the theater. They both sat down on the long cushioned bench they were seated in before. Wakko had to push scraps of rock and drywall off.

Dot and Wakko could use a break. They knew Yakko could use one too; he looked worn.

"There's no way out of here," Dot said as she gestured for her brother to sit next to her. "I checked when I first got here. It's just a neverending flight of stairs and rows of seats."

Wakko nodded, scooting over so Yakko could sit between them, "It's true. But we can always break through the walls."

Yakko sat down and chucked, "Breaking out of here with rocket launchers sounds pretty badass, but I don't think we would have enough to cover the damages. You know, the more I think about it, the happier I get that we didn't have to kill the guy. I don't know how we'd explain that to Plotz." He leaned back into the bench and sighed. "There's gotta be a door around here somewhere."

Dot leaned against her eldest brother's shoulder. She was eager to get out of the theater just as much as he was, but she didn't like seeing her brother this way. It wasn't in his character to feel so upset. "Are you alright?"

"Me?" Yakko looked down at her and nodded, "Nothing a little coffee can't fix." He could tell by his sister's stare that she didn't believe him.

"I didn't mean it," Dot softly said. It was almost a whisper. "What I said; about you being a bad brother. I didn't mean it." She wrapped her arms around her brothers and squeezed tight.

Yakko didn't say anything at first. He was stunned that she heard that because if she heard it, what else did they hear? He simply reached over and gently poked her flower, "I know."

"What happened?" Wakko asked him. He didn't know how to word his question, so he just blurted it out.

"A bad trip," Yakko replied after a few seconds of silence, "I'm alright, though. No need to worry."

"Yakko, stop it." Dot sat up and poked his chest, "You can't just tell us not to worry when you come out of here looking a mess." She didn't mean to be so abrupt with him, but it was a necessary evil. He was the oldest, and she knew that that meant he was also the most stubborn when expressing himself. "You were crying."

He felt ridiculous. There was no immediate response that Yakko could provide for them. They didn't need to hear about any of his own faults; it wasn't their weight to carry. It was his. Dot and Wakko have been convinced that he could handle almost everything and anything that was thrown at him. If he told them, he was afraid the trust would be lost. What kind of brother would he be then? He knew that that would never happen, but the feeling didn't just leave.

"Sorry." Yakko finally said. He didn't know what else to tell them. He didn't think going into detail about his darkest thoughts would be something they would want to hear.

"There's nothing you need to apologize for," Wakko said as he snuggled in his brother's side.

"What happened?" Dot asked again in a softer tone.

For someone whose entire personality is based on words, he had a bit of trouble finding the right ones. But, Yakko told them. Not everything, of course, just the parts that mattered. He told them about how he thought he was a bad brother- how they deserved better than him. He ended up breaking into tears halfway though, he couldn't help it.

Wakko listened as his brothers relive his horrors. He wanted to stop him every time Yakko mentioned how bad a brother he was and how he could have done more. He desperately wanted to tell him otherwise, assure him that he was the best brother anyone could ever ask for and that he was crazy to even think that they'd do anything to leave him. Wakko never knew these were the types of thoughts that ran through his brother's mind. He could feel his own eyes well up with tears with every gasp his brother took.

Dot, being more nurturing, rubbed small circles on his back as Yakko continued. She didn't know how he's been able to keep this to himself for so long. He spent so much time focusing on them and forgetting to take care of himself. She couldn't help but feel a bit guilty. They never bothered to ask him if he was doing alright the same way he would. There would be times where he would just sit down next to them and have them vent, rant, or just talk about anything. No one did that with him. Until now, when he desperately needed it.

There was nothing else left to say. Yakko's word vomit ceased, and he had to admit, he felt a little better with almost everything off of his chest. He looked over at Wakko, who looked back at him with a pout and eyes of fresh tears. It broke his heart. "It's okay, Waks," he sniffled, "don't cry."

Wakko smiled as he hugged his brother, "You're the best brother in the world."

"Yeah," Dot added in, "We know you do so much for us, and if anything, it's us that take you for granted sometimes." She smiled and looked up at her brother, "But we love you. Nothing's gonna change that."

Yakko kissed both of their foreheads before hugging them back. "You guys don't know how much I needed to hear that. I'm sorry for dumping everything on you two."

"Don't be. We dump things on you all the time," Dot replied.

"But we'll try not to do that as much," Wakko added in.

"What? No." Yakko sat up, "You guys can tell me anything; you guys know that. I'm the one that has to learn how to do the same. Besides, everything's okay now."

Dot smiled, "Of course we're okay. We're Warners, Plotz doesn't lock us in a tower for nothing."

Wakko looked around the room, "Speaking of Plotz, do you think he's gonna make us clean this up?"

Yakko shrugged, "Not if he doesn't know we were the ones that caused it."

"Can I eat it?"

"Absolutely not." Looking around the room, Yakko spotted a light coming from the far end of the theater. He pointed towards it, "Is that what I think it is?"

Wakko looked at where his brother was pointing to, "That wasn't there when we got here."

"An exit?" Dot asked as she got up from the couch.

The three of them walked closer to the light and noticed a door, avoiding the broken glass, rocks, and debris. Yakko knew that it had to be the exit. But if it wasn't, he was sure they could handle whatever was behind it.

He felt a lot better knowing that his siblings weren't going anywhere anytime soon. The voice inside his head was still there, but now he had solid proof to provide more comfort and reassurance.

He opened the wooden door and peeked inside it, followed by his siblings doing the same. He was pleasantly surprised to find that they were back inside the sound room they were previously in.

"We were in the sound room the whole time?" Dot asked as she stepped inside.

"Well, we were in a room within the sound room, to be exact."

The three of them walked inside, and Yakko closed the door behind him. Everything was just as they had left it before the ground split and rose.

"I think we should agree to never speak of this," Yakko announced as he left the small abandoned closet-turned-sound room.

"Speak of what? The clown? Oh, don't worry, we can always tell Plotz it was on you." The reply was greeted with snickers coming from Wakko.

Yakko was caught off guard by the comment that came from his sister. He rolled his eyes and hid his smile, "Guys, leave me alone. I'm still sensitive." He stuck his arms out and made them tremble to emphasize his point.

They all laughed.

Yakko pushed the double metal doors open, the same creaking noise they heard before filling their ears. He looked out at the lot and immediately shielded his eyes from the sun.

It was still daytime, which surprised Yakko. He had felt like days had passed, but when looking at the gold Rolex that was still around his brother's wrist, it had only been a total of 2 hours.

"So, Wakko," Yakko said as he held the door open for his sibs, "Since you were the one that pretty much saved us all, I'm assuming you aren't scared of clowns anymore?"

Wakko snickered, "Me? Afraid of clowns? Please," he waved his hand out in front of him, "I'm terrified."

Dot laughed and pushed his red cap over his face and pulled it down, covering his eyes. "You're an idiot."

"But I'm your idiot!" He said as he fixed himself, "I'm hungry."

"Wanna go bother Bugs? He made carrot cake." Yakko asked as he pointed towards the Looney Tunes set.

"Bothering the Looney Tunes? At this hour?" Dot shrugged, "I guess I can fit it into my schedule."

Her brothers laughed as they began to run towards the set, Dot chasing after them.

Everything was now behind them. Yakko learned so much about himself in two hours, and he was glad that they made it out okay. As he ran with his siblings, he felt himself smile. They weren't going anywhere anytime soon, and he was glad that they were given to him. He didn't know what he would do without them.

At least now, they all know that if someone tells them to stay away from a specific area of the lot, it was probably for a reason. They might even think twice before going after the experience they just had.

But, then again, these are the Warners. The rules usually go out the window.
