Author's Note: The 3rd and 4th acts are usually the shortest so that's why this one may seem shorter. Hope you are enjoying the Booth/Brennan and Tony/Roxie moments. I know it's not as much as *I* would want, but the show never gives as much as I want either... and that's what I'm trying to imitate. I will say that I've got a few other Bones stories in my profile, at least two of which are heavy on the B/B romance so if you like my writing enough, you might want to check them out: The Gaps in the Story and The Friends with the Benefits.

ACT III

INT. POOL PALACE - LARGE BATHROOM - NIGHT

Booth and Brennan look at each other. Brennan breaks away.

BRENNAN
Probably Walt, right?

Brennan opens the door before Booth stops her. It's Bill.

BILL
There you are.

BOOTH
Don't worry, pal. Ms. Roxanne and I
were just leaving.

BILL
You can do what you want, but the
pretty lady isn't going anywhere.

He reaches to grab Brennan, but Booth grabs him and shoves
him into the door frame, holding him steady.

BILL
(straining to speak)
Mr. Green wants to see her.

Booth glances over at Brennan. She nods. He lets Bill go.

BRENNAN
Take us to him.

BILL
No "us." Just you, dear.

Booth doesn't like it. Brennan nods. The silent argument goes
on for another beat. She wins it. She takes the cue bag back.

BRENNAN
Lead the way, doll.

Brennan slips an arm through Bill's arm as they exit. Booth
watches a moment, hitting an angry fist into the doorframe.

INT. JEFFERSONIAN - ANGELA'S OFFICE - NIGHT

The group stands together, watching Brennan's POV as she
moves down a hallway and up some stairs.

ANGELA
You just let him take her?

BOOTH (V.O.)
You're going to stay on the video
feed. Tell me exactly what you see.

The video feed shows Brennan's POV as she is escorted into
Mr. Green's suite. MR. GREEN stands in the middle of the
her hand.

ANGELA
If that creepy mask is made from human
skin, I'm done.

BOOTH (V.O.)
Not commentary, Angela. What you see.

ANGELA
I see a creepy dude in a creepy mask
and creepy gloves. But he doesn't
appear to be threatening Brennan. He's
leading her to the pool table.

Cam
Listen, Seeley, we could really use
some more evidence. Any way you can
get into that room with her?

BOOTH (V.O.)
I can get wherever I want.

ANGELA
Without causing any major mayhem?

A pause.

BOOTH (V.O.)
I can work the cover, yeah.

Cam
Great, get ready to write this down.

INT. POOL PALACE - MR. GREEN'S SUITE - NIGHT

Brennan stands at the pool table, eyeing Mr. Green who pours
Scotch into two glasses. He delivers one to her.

BRENNAN
Not that I'm complaining, but I
thought only the bracket winner got
the honor of playing with you, doll.

MR. GREEN
That is usually the case, but I know
how slippery that Texan can be.

BRENNAN
Yeah, he told me how he played you and
won. He's very good at billiards.

MR. GREEN
You aren't so bad yourself... ?

BRENNAN
Roxanne, but you can call me "Roxie."

MR. GREEN
Roxie. Would you care to break?

Before she can speak, there is a banging at the door.

BOOTH (O.S.)
Open up. Please. Roxie? Open the door.

Mr. Green cocks his head. More banging.

BRENNAN
My bodyguard. He takes his job just a
tad too serious. Give me a sec?

INT. HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS

Just outside the suite is Booth. He bangs on the door.

BOOTH
Roxie, come on. We need to talk.

Walt, Bill and ANOTHER SECURITY GUARD run up a
nearby staircase then toward Booth.

Walt and the other guard restrain Booth. He lets them.

BOOTH
I'm her bodyguard. It's my job to make
sure she's safe. I need to make sure-

The door opens. Brennan steps out. She smiles.

BRENNAN
Tony, hon, you're overreacting.

BOOTH
I love you.

Bill and the other guard trade raised eyebrows.

BRENNAN
(as Brennan, not Roxie)
What?

BOOTH
I, Anthony Scallion, love you, Roxanne
Rocco. I have since Atlantic City.
Don't tell me you don't feel it too.

Booth steps up to her, taking her hand and slipping her a
folded up notecard. They trade a look. She nods slightly.

BRENNAN
Yeah, I feel it, Tony. But right now I
need to go play pool with Mr. Green.

BOOTH
Fine, but I'll be right on the other
side of these doors. Right here.

Walt and the other guard shove him across and down the
hall, tossing him hard into the wall. He jumps back up.

BOOTH
Right here, I mean.

He squares his shoulders, ready to fight any further moves.

BRENNAN
Fellas, can't he stay? He'll be on his
best behavior. Cross my heart.

Mr. Green walks up behind her, opening the door a little
back into the room. Bill and the other guard leave. A beat.

WALT
You and Dr. Brennan? That's all just-

BOOTH
Our cover. Yup.
(then)
She's a writer, you know.

WALT
Yeah. I've read her books.

ANGELA (V.O.)
Angela to Agent Andy. Over.

BOOTH
(talking into the watch)
Didn't I say no commentary?

Walt looks over at him. Booth points to the earpiece.

ANGELA (V.O.)
Hey, she's fine in there, okay?

BOOTH
Roger that. Over... and out.

INT. POOL PALACE - MR. GREEN'S SUITE - CONTINUOUS

Mr. Green watches as Brennan sinks a ball.

POV through the glasses shows where the next shot should
go. Brennan turns the cue slightly and shoots. She misses.

MR. GREEN
I thought you were going to run the
table on me for a minute there.

She shrugs as he steps up. Engrossed in the game, he
doesn't see Brennan pick up his empty drink glass with
a napkin and sneakily carry it to her cue bag where
she stashes it.

MR. GREEN
Think you could make this shot?

Brennan walks over to the table. The cue ball is touching
a solid ball. Brennan glances at Mr. Green.

BRENNAN
Sure.

He gestures for her to try it.

Brennan's POV shows the red lines going unexpectedly
away from the ball. Brennan rotates around the table
to shoot.

Mr. Green catches a glimpse of something in the glasses.
He leans in to see the red lines, visible on the inside.

Brennan shoots. The ball bounces around the table, off
3 rails before it comes back and knocks the original
ball in.

She looks up with a smirk, but Mr. Green is coming at her.

MR. GREEN
What the hell is this?

He snatches the glasses from her face, looking through them.

ANGELA (V.O.)
Uh oh.

INT. JEFFERSONIAN - ANGELA'S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS

Angela is alone. She presses a button on the controller.

ANGELA
Booth?

BOOTH (V.O.)
Yep.

ANGELA
You need to get in there.

INT. POOL PALACE - HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS

Booth talks into the watch:

BOOTH
What happened?

MR. GREEN (O.S.)
You cheating bitch!

BOOTH
Got it. We're going in.

Booth moves to the door. He kicks it, but it doesn't budge.

INT. POOL PALACE - MR. GREEN'S SUITE - CONTINUOUS

Mr. Green has Brennan's arm in a tight grip. She stomps
on his foot, which releases her. She grabs a pool stick
and spins it around like a bo staff, landing several blows
to his body and head. He stumbles; the glasses fall to the
floor.

INT. JEFFERSONIAN - ANGELA'S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS

Angela types at her keyboard. On the screen, from the
glasses POV, Mr. Green slowly advances on Brennan.

ANGELA
Booth, listen up. I'm updating the
program in her glasses for a three-
dimensional environment. Tell her-

INT. POOL PALACE - MR. GREEN'S SUITE - CONTINUOUS

BOOTH (O.S.)
Use the glasses, Bones.

Green lunges at her. She jabs the pool cue into his gut.

Brennan sees the glasses on the ground and goes for
them at the same time as Mr. Green. She uses the cue
to pin his hand down to the ground. He groans in pain;
she gets the glasses.

Brennan throws on the glasses and looks around. From
her POV, we see the red lines no longer stay on the table.
They go up.

Mr. Green is back on his feet and coming toward her.
Brennan hits a pool ball hard. If flies into another ball,
bouncing up off the table and into Mr. Green's temple.
He falls down.

INT. POOL PALACE - HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS

Booth and Walt both try brute force, but the door won't open.

BOOTH
Shoot the lock.

WALT
Hang on. I do that and they-

BOOTH
You don't do that and I'll take that
gun from you, and shoot it myself.

Walt takes aim, but the lock clicks. He holds the gun on the
door, but Brennan exits quickly with the cue bag.

BRENNAN
(breathless)
He's incapacitated, but who knows for
how long? We should go. Now. Now!

She drags Booth down the hallway. Walt chases after them.

INT. POOL PALACE - FRONT FOYER - CONTINOUS

Brennan and Booth reach the front door. Bill walks up.

BILL
What's all the commotion?

Walt comes running down the stairs, gun out, sloppy.
When Walt gets to Booth, Booth easily knocks the gun
from his hand and tosses Walt into Bill, keeping him
down.

Booth picks up the gun, holding it on Walt and Bill.

BRENNAN
We gotta go. Thanks for a fun night.

ANGELA (V.O.)
Walt's team should be in a white van.
They're ready for extraction.

Booth and Brennan exit the front door and make a run
for it. A white van pulls up. They hop in. The van peels
out.

Bill and Walt make it out onto the lawn. Bill is pissed.

INT. VAN - TRAVELING - NIGHT

Brennan and Booth ride with two quiet RICO agents in the van.

BOOTH
You incapacitated that guy, huh?

BRENNAN
Yes. With a pool ball to the temple.
But don't worry; he'll survive.

Booth chuckles and nods. They look at each other for a beat.

ANGELA (V.O.)
This is where you remind her she's
awesome. Amazing. Beautiful.

BOOTH
You did good, Bones.

She knows. He knocks his shoulder into hers. She smiles.
