I do not own anything of Tomb raider only my OC in this story.
For the previous chapter on the Demons: A creature is an umbrella term for all non-plant lifeforms (including humans, but the word is rarely used in this connotation). A demon, on the other hand, is used to define an evil spirit or a 'creature' with evil relation or intention. In shorter terms, all demons are creatures, but not all creatures are demons.

Johannes: I can't answer you on that one, all I can say maybe we will see Lara and Kurtis. This is about the twins. Yes its other magical beings that exists in the world and no Kurtis wasn't the last, he thought he was until Mr. Nobody came in the last chapter of IS IT THE END? and said there are Templers out there. And the LV came from the Templers. Please read on top of this chapter for the answer of the Demons and Creature. No that was real, but that will still be explained in a later chapter. In this story only maybe like five dimensions. That will also be explain later in the story of why her name was there. thanks for the review.
Chapter 3: About the attack
The day after her encounter with the demon, she stumbled out of her room and shuffled to the campus dining hall; it was already bustling with people. Students lined up at the buffet in the center, which was piled high with odd-looking food. She noticed that every time a student took a dish, another one reappeared out of thin air.
"Whoa! I don't know if I'll ever get used to this place." She gasped to herself.
She found Kiara at the back of the line, behind a tall student with towering, black hair and tiny horns poking out from his temples.
"So, Klara. How are you feeling after…" Kiara trailed off,
"Discovering that this whole time I've actually been a wizard? Witch?" Klara finished her sentence.
"Lux Veritatis, actually." Kiara corrects her.
"Okay, Lux Veritatis. I'm basically feeling every emotion at once." Klara paused "I mean…What was that demon thing that attacked me last night?!"
Several students in line turned towards her. Kiara glared at them, with one eyebrow cocked, and they quickly turned back around.
"Maybe don't tell the whole school about it! We don't know for sure what that demon thing was or what any of this means."
"Keep quiet? Ok fine. We'll talk privately later," Klara paused "I guess we can leave it for now. I'm just… Honestly, I'm freaking out a little."
"And I totally get that, but for now, let's keep this between us while we figure it out." Kiara sighed, "Besides, I don't actually know what that demon thing was. I tried doing some research, and I came back with nothing."
The line suddenly moved forward. Klara nearly tripped trying to stay in line.
"Ugh, I'm exhausted. I basically passed out after…the 'incident' last night." Klara rubbed her eye. "Which means I got like eight hours of sleep. So why does it feel like I just got run over by a truck? And I'm so hungry! Like, eat an entire pizza by myself hungry."
"Magic uses up a ton of energy. Especially when you cast whatever crazy powerful spell that was last night… To be perfectly honest, I've never in my life seen a casting that looked like that!" She rubbed her temple. "Actually the last time I heard of a spell like that was when the powerful Lux Veritatis, who built this place nineteen years ago, was using it, and I was still in diapers."
"What are you saying?" Klara asked, surprised.
"I'm saying that whatever spell you shot last night, was packing some insane energy, Ms. 'I don't know any magic'. So, you're starving because that blast sucked all of your energy out of you."
"Wait, you said that the powerful Lux Veritatis built this place nineteen years ago. Who was he? Or she if it's a female."
"I didn't really listen in my history classes, but he was, at the time, battling a war with adversaries we know barely anything about. Since then, we've never heard of him, or the progress of this 'battle'." Kiara answered, looking at Klara with one eye.
Klara wondered about this war. Who was this person? Could it have been Miss Croft herself? Or maybe even her father; whoever he was. She had that feeling about Miss Croft being her mom, but she had no idea for sure, and she wasn't gonna tell the world what she thought. "It's nothing, I'm just wondering who he was." Klara said.
Klara reached the front of the line, and Kiara gestured across to the table piled high with crystalline fruit, eggs, and even a whole roasted pig.
"Behold! The miracle of a magical breakfast. Covers the entire food pyramid and everything in between."
In front of Klara rested a giant bowl of oranges, and a portion of alphabet cereal. The letters were shifting in their own volition on top of a layer of milk.
"What is this?" Klara turned to Kiara.
"Prophecy cereal. They form real prophecies, but they're still a lot of fun to just mess around with."
Adjacent to the preceding set of dishes, was a tray of eggs, with, what looked to be pig tongues next to it.
"Ugh," Klara remarked.
"Pig eggs. My favorite. The tongues scream when you eat them, but you get over it once you taste them."
And on the other side, a tray piled high with bright red sausage links sat idly on display.
"Dragon links. They're just sausages cooked over a dragon's flame. Be careful though, that'll be very spicy." Kiara warned.
"Wow, it all looks so… interesting." Klara answered, looking at all the food. She grabbed a serving of the sausages, and found a seat at a less crowded table. She stabbed her fork into one, and brought it to her mouth, ready to devour the whole thing.
"Wait! Seriously Klara, maybe you should start with a nibble…" Kiara warned again.
"No way! I was born eating spicy food. I can take it." She ate half of the sausage in one bite. Almost instantly, she felt a roaring fire in her mouth. Steam began to pour out of her nostrils, as she let out a pained whimper.
"AAAAAh!"
"That's why they're called dragon links." Kiara reminded her.
"It's not…so bad…once you've burned off the top layer of your tongue…"
As the two of them finished off their breakfast, Mike slid into the seat across from Klara.
"Klara! So we meet again. You look like you're settling in well." He turned to Kiara with an unabashed grin. "You must be one of the infamous Aircard sisters. I was expecting someone to be full of knives and swords in her clothes… I'm Mike."
"Nice to meet you, and sorry to disappoint, I left them at home." She smiled back at him.
Klara glanced around, making sure that there was no one else within earshot.
"Okay, there's no one else around. So, about the attack-"
"Klara, do you really think we should be talking about this here?" She jerked her head blatantly in Mike's direction.
He rolled his eyes, "I can go if you want…"
Klara gave Mike a look once more, trying to think if it was best to trust him.
"Listen, I know we don't know each other that well, but I'm great at keeping secrets."
"He might have some insight that could help us, Kiara… The more heads the better, right?"
"Still… I'd feel more comfortable if we discussed it away from prying ears." Kiara whispered to Klara.
"Why don't we go back up to my room then? The first tests are not supposed to start until after an hour anyway."
All of them headed back to Klara's room, where they could talk more in private. Klara led her friends into her room, and paused at the threshold, still overwhelmed that this was her chamber.
"I don't know if I'll ever get over how cool this place is."
"I guess it's not too shabby. Though the closet space is limiting." Kiara stated.
"You can always use the desk for extra storage. What else would you use it for?" Mike ran his hand across the worn, wooden desk on the other side of the room.
"Uh, Studying?" Klara answered, not getting as to why he didn't think of that.
"Please, it's twenty twenty-three. You're telling me you don't study on your bed?" Kiara questioned.
Mikes flopped onto Klara's bed, propping himself up with his elbow. "Okay, enough idle chat. What's going on that's oh-so-secret?"
"Not much, I'm afraid." Kiara turned to Klara. Her brow started to furrow as she bit her lip.
"I spent half the night researching this demon that attacked you, but I couldn't find anything."
"Hold on, you were attacked? Are you okay? That must've been terrifying!" Mike immediately shot up from his bed as he looked at Klara.
"I definitely saw my life flash before my eyes." Klara sighed, "I've never been so scared! It was so weird looking too! Like a small, angry ball of smoke"
"Hmmm. It kind of sounds like a demon follower. They're basically harmless little wraps of smoke, sent to terrorize people or find some information about that person." Mike answered, looking up and down between the two of them.
"Actually, I…" Kiara stopped herself, biting her lip. "Never mind, you're probably right."
"I don't suppose you've made any enemies in the last, Oh, twenty-four hours or so Klara?" Mike asked.
"No one. Not that I know of." She sighed again. "So, that brings us back to the drawing board."
"We'll figure it out, Klara." Kiara reassured her.
"Thanks."
"Today is your first proper day as well." Mike said, as he walked to the door.
"Is there anything I must take? I feel so unprepared." Klara frowned as she looked at Mike, who was just standing by the door, and Kiara, who was still sitting on the chair.
"You don't need anything. Today, you're going to take your Lux Placement test, and you'll get to go to your first class." Mike responded.
"I personally can't wait to learn some transmutation spells!" Kiara spoke happily.
A voice suddenly boomed from all over. "Freshmen, Attention please! We're ready to start the Lux Placement tests. Come down to the foyer to be assigned your examiner!"
"Sounds like we need to go." Klara said after the announcement.
"Yes! I'm so pumped for this! Come on, let's get going!" Mike headed out into the common room. Klara was about to follow, but Kiara put a hand on her shoulder.
"Look, Klara. I know you're worried about whatever that demon thing was that attacked you, so I'll tell you… I don't think it was a follower. I did a ton of research last night. Like seriously, more than I do for classes, and I take classes seriously." She took a breath, "But after my research, I have to rule out the possibility of it being a follower. The description of a follower just doesn't fit with what we say yesterday.
"So that means…" Klara gasped as she thought.
"Whatever attacked you, was something…obscure. Something that's not easy to find, and something that will come back."
"Hey, are you guys coming or what?" Mike called them from the other room. Kiara patted her on the shoulder.
"Don't worry, we'll figure it out what it is before it comes back."
"Thanks Kiara, it means a lot." Klara beamed at her as they walked out to the foyer.
