The night of the dinner party was quite eventful. After planting false memories inside Damon's head the younger vampire had invited Elijah to a dinner party intending to dagger the original. However, to the surprise of many it was Alaric Saltzman who ended up daggering Elijah. This wasn't permanent as they took the dagger out of the vampire's heart.

Elijah ended up going after Elena at her family's lake house. Once again to everyone's surprise it was the young doppelganger who daggered the original after stabbing herself. This wasn't the end to the night as Tyler followed Jonas Martin to Bonnie's house where he heard that he sealed away her powers.

Now, days later, Katherine is currently staying at the Salvatore house. She had just finished playing switch up with her fellow doppelganger. It was getting too easy pretending to be her to the point where it's almost no fun. She looked around the room as the three stooges surrounded her.

"What is she doing here?" Elena demanded.

"When we killed Elijah it broke the compulsion and freed the bitch from the tomb." Damon explained keeping his glare locked on Katherine.

"How is that possible?" Stefan asked as Drake appeared behind him. Katherine blinked before she picked up a feather quill trying to keep focused.

"This one, really?" Drake scoffed as he inspected Stefan, "What is with those eyebrows, not to mention the frown lines."

Drake was using their link to keep an eye on her from afar.

"Originals, they come with all sorts of neat tricks." Katherine answered.

"I don't want you here. Get her out of here." Elena said looking to Stefan.

Drake scoffed as Katherine spoke, "You need me Elena." She declared, "You all do."

"Like hell." Stefan shot back.

"We all want the same thing, Klaus dead." She reminded, "Here you all are running like chickens with your heads cut off."

Elena shook her head, "I don't need your help and I don't want it."

Drake rolled his eyes, "We'll that's incredibly stupid of you Elena. Do you know where Klaus is, when he's coming, what he looks like?" Katherine questioned sensing their growing irritation.

"If you know something say it or get out." Damon demanded

Katherine was about to shoot back with a veiled threat before Drake quickly spoke, "Sweeten the deal. Tell them you know an old witch that knows everything about Klaus."

Katherine looked around at the trio before nodding, "Fine. I know someone, a witch, who knows how to kill Klaus and knows how to do it without dying."

Drake and Katherine smirked as the three gave each other looks of shock, "Who?" Stefan asked.

"His name is Duke, he and I go way back. We share a particular hatred for Klaus." She leaned on the desk, "He's an old witch from Europe."

"Of all the names you could've used." Drake groaned.

Damon scoffed, "How's some old geezer supposed to help us?"

"Because he's spent the last three centuries plotting against Klaus and helping me keep him off my trail." Katherine explained.

"That's impossible, witches don't live forever." Damon said suspiciously.

"No but they can slow down their aging." She pointed out, "I only deal with the best." She winked at Stefan gaining an intense glare from Elena, "Anymore questions you have you can ask him. I already called him, he'll be here in a few hours." She gave them a parting smile before walking away.

"She's out of the tomb and has a witch on the way." Bonnie asked aloud.

Across the hall Tyler listened in on the conversation. This morning Drake had texted him and Matt about going under cover at the Salvatore House. They thought that he went crazy before he reasoned that it was the quickest way to get what they want.

"A three hundred year old witch." Stefan replied, "Just be careful she's getting a little too good at impersonating Elena." He cautioned.

"With Katherine still around, we gotta find a way of getting your powers back." Jeremy stated, "Especially with this Duke guy on her pay roll."

"Listen, I want to get the Martins on our side. I don't trust this witch and I want to find a way for us all to work together now that Elijah's out if the picture." Stefan explained.

"Impossible, they hate us." Bonnie reminded.

"It's either win them over or somebody's going to end up dead." The vampire replied, "You think that you can at least convince them to have a civil conversation."

"What about Tyler?" Jeremy asked, "He's a werewolf, he could be a useful ally."

Tyler froze at the mention of his name. Looking over his shoulder he saw Stefan and Bonnie exchange a nervous look, "I don't think that's a good idea. You know how Damon is about werewolves." Stefan replied.

Jeremy gave him an incredulous look, "So you want to make peace with total strangers rather than Tyler?"

"It's complicated, besides the Martins might know how to kill Klaus." Bonnie explains.

"And Tyler is our friend." Jeremy shot back.

"Look, I'll try." Bonnie assured and Stefan nodded before she looked up at Jeremy, "I'm sorry but with everything that's happening we don't need Tyler and Damon at each other's throats."

The bell rang causing the students to scurry into their classrooms. Jeremy sighed before he walked around Bonnie and stalked down the hall. Tyler gave the teen a single look before he walked away. The football player quickly made his way into the bathroom and texted Drake about their plan with the Martins.

Hearing the thumping of approaching footsteps Tyler quickly putt his phone in his pocket. He turned around just in time to see Jeremy at the door. They stood in awkward silence before Tyler picked up his backpack and began to walk away. He tried to walk past Jeremy but the boy stepped in his way.

Tyler took a deep breath, "Get out of the way, Jeremy."

"We need to talk." Jeremy replied.

The werewolf began to flex his hand, "About what?"

Jeremy took a shaky breath before he answered, "Mason. I had a part in his death."

Tyler looked stunned as he took a step back, "You helped Damon kill my uncle?" He growled before he rushed Jeremy and slammed him against the wall, "Where you there when he died?!"

"No, I saw what he was doing and I didn't want any part of it." Jeremy quickly explained, "I didn't know he was going to die. I'm sorry."

Tyler growled before he pulled away, "Sorry isn't enough. Damon has to pay."

"And then Stefan will want his revenge and then Jules will come back and it will go back and forth until everyone is dead." Jeremy said.

"Don't try to stop me, Jeremy, Stefan couldn't and neither can you." Tyler glared at him, "You of all people should be just as angry as I am. Especially after what they did to Vicki."

Jeremy blinked, "Vicki?"

Tyler gave him a questioning look, "You don't know what they did?" He saw the confusion in the boy's eyes, "Damon and Stefan killed her."

Drake dragged Jonas and Luka's bodies into their apartment. Killing the pair was easy enough as was feeding the teen his blood before snapping his neck. Looking around he found the entire apartment riddled with books. Picking one up he immediately realized that these weren't books at all, they were all grimoires.

He looked down at Jonas before he nudged his corpse with a foot, "Quite the collection you've got here." He pulled out his phone and called Matt, "Hey, Matty. I'm going to need you to bring your truck to the Martin apartment."

He hung up before Matt could question why. The hybrid raked his gaze around the apartment. He approached the bookshelf across the room before he sighed. He trailed his finger across the numerous grimoires. Feeling a vibration he took a step back and tapped his finger on a thick grimoires.

Smirking he pulled the book out of the bookshelf. He placed it on the nearby desk and began to flip through it, "Let's see what you do."

He flipped page after page before his eyes landed on a single spell. He read the page over before and smiled, "Looks like I really was a step ahead." He laughed before he heard a knock on the door.

Drake kept silent, "Drake?" Matt's voice came through the door.

The hybrid sharply nodded and the door flew open. Matt stood in the hallway and blinked before stepping inside, "No matter how awesome that is I'll never get used to it." The blonde shut the door as Drake laughed.

"Believe me it'll only get weirder." He said before he raised his hand and all the books flew off the shelves and began to fly around the room, "Find some trunks, boxes, backpacks anything you can find and let's pack all these grimoires up."

Matt looked down at the the father and son and coughed, "Are they?"

"Dead? Yes." Drake confirmed, "They were working for Elijah and were about to make a truce with Stefan and Bonnie. They're not exactly good guys."

Matt thought it over before he nodded, "Right." He sighed before he looked around, "Alright let's get to it."

With the both of them working together, with Drake doing most of the work, they loaded Matt's truck with trunks full of grimoires. Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, Japan, North and South America, the Martins have collected grimoires from all over the world. Throughout the packing Drake gave special attention to the grimoire that held the answers to all of his questions.

"Take them all and go back to your place." Drake ordered as he sensed Luka's transition begin, "Don't wait up."

"Okie dokie." Matt nodded before taking the last trunk, "I'll text Katherine we've taken care of everything."

"Roger that." Drake replied as the door closed. The hybrid looked down at the teen and kneeled down, "Wakey, wakey." He smiled tapping the boy's cheek.

Luke blinked away before he immediately shut his eyes at the harsh daylight. Drake smirked as Luke groaned before he looked around. His gaze fell upon Drake who gave him a toothy smile. He scrambled away from the hybrid right into the sunlight and immediately felt his skin began to burn.

Luka screamed and dashed across the room in blinding speed. Drake watch in amusement as the former witch realized what he just did, "No, no, no, no, no."

"Oh, yes." Drake smiled before he yanked Jonas' body off the ground, "You look absolutely famished." He said before he bit into the corpse's neck allowing blood to stream out, "Take a bite." He offered before throwing the corpse on the teen.

Drake watched as Luka's true face came out, "No. Dad." He whimpered before the smell overwhelmed him.

Drake watched as Luka bit into his father's neck and began to drink. The older vampire smiled, "Two down, two to go."

Damon and Katherine were reading through the Gilbert Journals in hopes of finding something that could kill Klaus. The door swung opened when Stefan and Bonnie came inside. The vampire and witch were frustrated as they had just been stood up by the Martins.

"No luck?" Damon asked.

"No shows." Stefan replied, "We stopped by their place and it looks like they ran for the hills."

"You mean they up and left?" Damon questioned.

"All of their grimoires are gone." Bonnie informed, "They must of found out about Elijah somehow and called it quits."

"Somehow?" Damon glared at Katherine.

Looking up to see the three of them glaring at her, "I've been here the whole time." She shrugged, "I got my alibi." She stated before going back to reading.

Bonnie sat down and buried her face in her hand and sighed, "I can't believe the one guy who could give me back my powers is gone."

"We'll figure out how to get your powers back." Stefan assured.

Katherine rolled her eyes, "You people are in even worse shape than I thought." The group glared at her again before she sighed and slammed the journal shut, "A witch can't take your power baby Bennet but they can seal it away. You just need to unlock it."

Damon gave her a suspicious look, "Let me guess, you know how to unlock it."

"No idea." She shrugged before they heard a knock on the door, "But he does." She smiled before she dashed to the door.

The trio exchanged nervous, unsure looks.

"Can we trust this 'Duke' guy?" Damon asked.

"Do we have a choice?" Bonnie asked, "We need a witch on our side and I'm not exactly cutting it right now."

"Katherine did say that he knew how to kill Klaus." Stefan replied, "Last time we got Lucy on our side at the end maybe we could-"

"Lucy was my distant cousin." Bonnie reminded, "Who knows who this guy is."

"Great question." Katherine returned with a man on her arm, "Everyone, meet Duke Kane."

The man had pale skin, red hair and green eyes. He gave them a pearly white smile, "Nice to meet ya'." The man greeted with a thick Scottish accent, "Name's Duke."

At the Donovan residence Matt and Tyler had just unloaded the last trunk from the truck. They had carried all the trunks to Vicki's old room since no one's using it. Drake had emphasized how important these books were to the plan. By the end it looked more like a storage room now than a bedroom.

Now they stood in the master bedroom looking down at Drake's slumbering form. Matt carefully injected a large syringe full of blood into Drake's arm and pressed down.

"He's been out of it for hours." Tyler stated as Matt took the syringe out, "Did he explain what the spell he used did?"

"He said was that he's going to be a passenger." Matt answered, "And that we needed to take care of his body."

Tyler looked confused, "A passenger in what?"

"Another person."
