The next morning, Apple was walking around the camp when she heard Lila calling out to Raven.
"Hey Raven!" said Lilia as she and Penny walked up to the witch who was standing at the gate to the camp.
"Are you ready to see those plants you asked us about?" asked Penny.
"Sure am," said Raven as she threw her backpack on. The three then headed into the forest and Apple went to the beach. That whole time, Briar had been standing by one of the huts and had decided to follow Apple down to the beach.
"Okay, what's going on with you?" asked Briar while sitting down next to the blonde who was skipping some stones on the ocean.
"I don't know what you mean," said Apple while skipping another stone.
"You've been mad since this trip began, and you didn't even react to Raven's shocking reveal last night or that Penny and Lilia are going against destiny," said Briar.
"So something has to be up with you because you would normally jump on a situation to go on a destiny tirade," she said.
"I already knew about Raven's secret," said Apple while looking at the next stone she had picked up.
"You did?" asked a shocked Briar.
"The truth is Raven and I have been dating for half a year now," said Apple as she threw the stone which just splashed into the water. At the same time a choking sound came from Briar who was taken by complete surprise.
"You… Raven… six months?" asked Briar, who was too stunned to make a real sentence.
"Last week was our six month anniversary, I got Raven a notebook to use on the trip and she gave me nothing," said Apple.
"Wait, that's why you're mad, all because Raven didn't get you anything as a gift?" asked Briar who finally came back to her senses.
"I know it's stupid, but it hurts that she forgot about it," said Apple while bringing her knees up to her chest and looking down at the sand with a sad expression.
"I get where you are coming from, but last week was also a tough one for everyone given all the tests we had and General Villainy had one that definitely hurt Raven," said Briar.
"They had to make cursed apples," said Apple with a look of realization.
"The fact she was making something she swore never to make probably over took her thoughts, and that's why she didn't remember," said Briar.
"I'm such an idiot," said Apple as she slapped a hand to her forehead.
"Now with all of that out of the way I have to ask, are you Bi or what?" asked Briar.
"You're going to ask me a hundred questions today, aren't you?" asked Apple with a defeated expression as Briar just gave a nod of her head.
