Chapter Four: Girl Talk
Marinette was sitting crisscross-applesauce in front of Penny.
"You know, it's hard getting a girl to talk to having the job I have," Penny said, as she did Marinette's hair up in a bun. Marinette's clothes were still soaking, and Penny knew just what to do. She got up and grabbed a Jagged Stone tee and handed it to Marinette.
"This'll be a little big, but I can fix that," Marinette said. "Do you have scissors?" Penny grabbed scissors and handed them to Marinette. With that, Marinette cut off the bottom, making sure not to cut off the "Jagged Stone" part. Slipping it over her head, the shirt now fit perfectly. Penny actually happened to have the same size jeans as Marinette, so Marinette slipped them on, the blue jeans fitting snugly against her hips.
"Something is missing," Penny said, stepping back, looking at Marinette. "Oh! I know!" Penny grabbed a red ribbon and tied it in Marinette's hair. "There. Perfect." Marinette now had a red bow on the top of her head and looked beautiful.
"Wow, thanks for that, Penny," Marinette said, looking in the mirror, examining herself. Her raven black hair tied in the bun looked fitting, some loose hairs falling against her head. The shirt fit loosely around her shoulders, and the jeans were the perfect fit. And with that, the bow completed the look, and it fit in. Marinette also noted her earrings were much more noticeable with her hair like this, but it looked just like a fashion accessory. Not only that, she had a plaid jacket tied around her waist making the bow match.
"It's been forever since I've been with a girl, it makes me miss Lillian," Penny said, and then gasped, covering her mouth with her hands.
"Lillian? Who's that?" Marinette asked.
"Jagged's sister," Penny sighed.
"He has a sister? Where is she?"
"Six-feet under," Penny said. Marinette held her breath. Who was Lillian? But, she didn't pry for more. Clearly, she had learned enough.
AN: Be prepared for some angsty themes next chapter, because you will learn a LOT of Jagged's past. Or would I like to say, Beau. (LOL- Jagged can't be his real name, Beau will be his original name.) Hope you enjoyed. Sorry I've been writing short chapters, but the Jagged's past chapter will be longer.
