Aang was on his way home from school. it seemed like a long day at school. As he was approaching his lawn it seemed messier than usual. This was weird, Gyatso is usually cleaner than this. What he saw next freaked him out.
Katara and Suki were chatting
"So I wanna get the Avatar some new gloves.." Katara said
"That's so sweet but why..?"
"I always see his gloves but they're worn out..and I thought that he'd like new ones.." Katara said shyly
Suki giggled. "Don't worry it's cute, wanna go?"
"Sure," Katara said
Zuko received a text from Aang. While he was playing 2k
Aang: Can you pick me up please like now.
Me: like rn? I'm in the middle of a match.
Aang: yes rn, idgaf what you're doing please is urgent.
Me: Sure, omw
Zuko quit his match and put on his jacket and told Iroh he was going to pick up Aang.
He got in his red charger and drove to Aang's house,
Mai was thrown in a cell for 3 days straight barely fed. The only thing that kept her alive was Zuko. She had to get out of there, she would wait until one of the guards slipped up. This morning they brought a new prisoner, an old geezer. One of the guards went into her cell looking for her, to give her lunch. She tackled him from behind and put her in a chokehold and put on her uniform. She went towards the exit and took a prison bus once she was near the city she burned the bus and stole some clothes to blend in and got on a bus going towards the city.
Zuko arrived at Aang's house and what he saw was surprising. Everything was a mess and the door was open so he went in and he found Aang holding a note.
"Hey, Aang buddy you ok?"
It took him a while to respond to this question as he was distraught. He was holding a crumpled note in his hand.
"Aang what happened?"
He turned around he didn't know whether to be sad or angry as he never really experienced those before.
"They took him." He said above a whisper
Zuko's eyes widened and he immediately understood what was going on. He felt this way when he lost his mother a few years ago.
"Come on, Aang let's go, you can stay with me."
So they went to the Jasmine Dragon where Zuko and Mai stayed with everyone's favorite uncle. When they got there they saw Mai. Zuko immediately ran towards her and hugged her.
"Careful Zuko you might choke me.."
"Sorry, it's just these past 3 days I was worried we looked for you everywhere."
She noticed Aang in the back
"What's with him?"
"Gyatso was discovered by firebenders," Zuko whispers
Mai gives Zuko an understanding look
"I'll stay in the guest room," Aang said he went up the stairs and locked the door
Aang laid on the bed and just wanted to scream yet he felt empty. First, the fire nation takes his family. Now they took the person he cares about the most. Just how much crueler can Phoenix get?
It was now time for lunch. Katara, Suki, Toph and Sokka came. While Zuko was trying to get Aang to eat. Mai and Iroh were the only ones downstairs. They saw Mai and was surprised
"Hey Mai, we haven't seen you in 3 days why is that?" Suki asked.
"Had to take care of some family business," Mai said glumly
Was it a lie? Toph couldn't tell because Mai usually spoke with no emotion they sat at a table waiting
Zuko came down he looked sad
"What's wrong?" Asked Katara
"It's Aang."
"What about him?"
"Gyatso was discovered. Aang is not taking it well."
Katara's expression immediately saddened and she went upstairs.
Katara walked to the guest room she reached the door preparing herself as Aang might say some things he might not mean. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
"Go away Zuko."
"Aang it's Katara I'm worried about you please let me in.."
A few moments passed then a click sound came meaning the door was unlocked. She went in and saw Aang lying on the bed with dark circles under his eyes. Katara knew what he was doing, after all it wasn't healthy at all.
"Aang, Zuko told me what happened."
Aang didn't respond and just took a deep breath and sat up.
"Aan-?"
"What do you want? To pity me? I don't need it." He snapped
He saw katara's expression and the pain he caused.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean-"
Katara just ran and hugged Aang tightly
"It's ok, I know what you're feeling right now just let it out.."
Aang just started sobbing as Katara hugged him tighter and tighter.
It's been 20 mins Sokka thought it. The worst thing is that Jet came to order lunch and asked where Katara was. That guy couldn't take a hint at all. Speaking of the devil Katara came down and ignored Jet, then Aang came down and Jet decided to tease him, Boy was he wrong.
"Hey loser, who are you talking to the dance, no one?"
"Shut up," Aang said
"Hey buddy just because you don't have a girl it's ok, I'm talking Katara"
"I'd rather die than go out with you Jet, pretty sure Aang would make a better boyfriend than you any day," Katara said
Realizing what she said she and Aang blushed but they quickly hid it maybe she was slowly falling for Aang she thought.
"Whatever." As he was about to punch Aang he caught it
"I'm not in the mood Jet." He pushed him and Jet just ran away.
Katara thought that was hot. She quickly hid her blush
As the Gaang ate their lunch as were chatting about the events that unfolded. Life was getting better Aang swore to himself he would take down phoenix no matter what.
It was late at night The Avatar, Blue Spirit, The Painted Lady, and Knives were patrolling. They took down some thugs and stopped a few muggers. The Avatar got new gloves from the Painted Lady which he was not expecting but a welcome one.
Yo wassup, beast here updates are gonna slow down the month of Ramadan is coming which means I have to fast from sunrise to sunset for a whole month...but I'll still be on discord.
