Over at the Cross Fusion Research Institute in Syacclea, things could only be described as busy. Due to the fact that the Dimension Area Generators at SciLabs over in Densan City have been destroyed, along with it's Dimensional Element, the whole place is on high alert, given the possibility that they'll be targeted as well, not to mention the fact that they'll also need to stay in constant contact with the Net Savers over there, in case if they ever require a Dimensional Area for a particular situation. Of course, the stolen Dimensional Core data from there being used to allow Beastized Viruses to substantiate into the real world doesn't exactly help the situation either. Laika is currently there, overseeing everything that's currently going on at the Research Institute. Just recently, he was briefed on the new situation that the world possibly be facing. He was rather shocked on the explanation of the existence of Digimon, but he successfully managed to recompose himself. He also learned that a dark faction of Digimon known as the Bagra Army is possibly attempting to expand their territory by invading and taking over the world. Basically, it was sort of like having to deal with the whole Zoanoroid and Cybeasts situation all over again, only possibly a lot bigger. He was also a little surprise that Netto Hikari had also somehow managed to befriend a Digimon the same day SciLabs got attacked, and is now putting together a Digimon team to combat the Bagra Army. Laika ended up questioning himself why he's surprised, given that it's just like Netto and Rockman to get caught up in the thick of these sort of situations. Not only that, but he also found out that the Bagra Army is using the power of the Dark Aura, which should have been wiped clean off of the face of the Earth. Something like that spelled nothing but trouble. Nonetheless, Laika explained that he's always ready, in case if his assistance is ever needed regarding this mess. At the moment, he was having Searchman assist with a security sweep within the Institute's cyberworld, in case if there's any sign of viruses, beast viruses, or any possible members of the Bagra Army, like Merukimon, hoping to cause some damage.
Laika: Anything to report, Searchman?
Searchman: (Appearing above his PET in holographic form.) That's a negative, Laika-sama. There's no sign of any trouble brewing within the cyberworld. We seem to be good for the time being.
Laika: Very well then. (Turns to one of the scientists, who is looking over some stuff on a holographic monitor.) Are there any reports of strange activity or monster sightings within the vicinity?
Scientist: Let me check... (Pulls up some data, checking to see if there's anything out of the ordinary, but so far, nothing.) Nothing at the moment.
Laika: Well, be sure to stay on alert. It's anyone's guess as to what the Bagra Army could be planning now. (Starts walking away.)
Scientist: Understood.
Laika exits the room, as he then starts walking down the hallway, while also thinking about some stuff.
Searchman: Is there something on your mind, Laika-sama.
Laika: (Looking at Searchman on his shoulder while walking.) You could say that, Searchman. Regarding this apparent new threat called the Bagra Army... It just feels as though that this could be tougher than any other threat that we've faced before.
Searchman: Mmmm... I got that feeling too, Laika-sama. From what we've heard, these Digimon of the Bagra Army seem to be very formidable opponents.
Laika: Apparently, in order for us to make an attempt to retaliate, it's clear that we'll have to find someway to up our strength.
As Laika is conversing with Searchman, he enters the main entrance area. Once he does, another scientist takes notice of him, and quickly heads over to him.
Scientist: Oh, Laika! (Grabs Laika's attention.)
Laika: Hm? What is it?
Scientist: Well, it seems as though we have some guests here, saying that they're proposing a special kind of project that will benefit in the current situation?
Laika: Guests? Project? (He looks over the scientists shoulder to get a better view of who he's talking about. Once he does see who it is, his eyes widen.) You're... Dark Miyabi, Yuriko, and... Dr. Wily!?
Yuriko: (Waving at him.) It's been a while, Laika.
Laika: B-But, I don't understand! Why are you here? And with Dr. Wily nonetheless?
?: (Raising her hand up from behind the group.) Um... it's not just them. (Reveals herself to Makoto Aoki. AKA, Meijin's ex-girlfriend.) I'm here as well.
Laika: You're... Makoto Aoki!? Again, why are you here!?
Dr. Wily: (Smirks.) Heh. Let's just say that we've got an idea, which should prove to be effective against what the world is facing now.
Laika looks in confusion, before turning back to Makoto with a curious look, who's only response is a rather cheerful smile.
TITLE: ALL CROSS FUSION MEMBERS ASSEMBLE! THE COMING SNOW STORM!
(A total of 12 color-changing silhouettes of all the Cross Fusion members are seen standing in the middle of a blizzard.)
The mood over at SciLabs could only be described as quiet and solemn. On some newer monitors that just recently got installed, Dr. Hikari was looking over multiple pieces of data showing Rockman's current state. All of it seemed troubling, as within the cyberworld, Rockman is seen unconscious, with multiple patches of his body struggling to regenerate. Not only that, but Meijin was taking an in depth look at the damage the Synchro Chip, and didn't like at all what he was seeing. And to top it all of, the place was still undergoing some repairs, so regarding the situation, there wasn't any necessary equipment to repair either Rockman, or the Synchro Chip. Netto, along with the Digimon, were just standing around, looking at the monitor, showing at Rockman's unconscious, and damaged state.
Netto: Rockman... (Notices his father getting up, and walking over to him.) Papa, did you find out what happened to Rockman?
Dr. Hikari: (Adjusting his glasses.) Well, possibly. You said that you still had your Xros Loader on you when you were performing Xros Fusion, right? And that it also pretty much made you a walking Xros Loader?
Netto: Eheheh... I know that sound ridiculous, but it's true.
Gumdramon: It is so true, because I was there when it happened.
Bokomon: We were all there when it happened, Gumdramon.
Neamon: Yeah.
Bacomon: Pretty much.
Footmon: Ditto.
Runnermon: Felt weird being in a human body. I'll tell you that.
Netto: Why do you ask, Papa?
Dr. Hikari: Well, according to my analysis, aside from the immense damage he took in battle, he seems to have experienced readjustment difficulties when the Cross Fusion wore off.
Netto: Readjustment difficulties?
Dr. Hikari: Yes. My guess is that given the fact that it was the first time you both Cross Fused, while also becoming a walking Xros Loader with the Digimon in it, it caused a backlash of immense pressure, thus severely damaging his data.
Gumdramon: So... In a way, it's our fault?
Dr. Hikari: Uh, not intentionally, Gumdramon.
Netto: Mmmmm... I guess it's also due to DarkRockman's latest attack on us, huh?
Dr. Hikari: Yes, that would also further be the cause of Rockman's state, as well as the damage done to your Synchro Chip. (Adjusts his glasses again.) Still, I can't believe that DarkRockman has returned as a member of the Bagra Army, and has both Forte and Nebula Grey's power.
Netto: Yeah, I know. Not to mention having a shadow-like Digimon like Shademon as an extension of his will.
Footmon: So... anyways, what's the deal with that DarkRockman guy?
Bokomon: (Scratching his head.) I'm a little curious regarding that subject myself? Judging from his name, is he a sort of evil twin of Rockman, Dr. Hikari?
Dr. Hikari: Well... that's correct in basic terms, but it's a little more complicated in that. Let's just say that, a while back, Rockman ended up getting exposed to the Dark Aura, corrupting him, but it eventually removed from his body, only to take on his form, and caused major chaos. Although, he did end up proving that there was some good in him, when he sacrificed himself to allow Rockman and a few other NetNavi's to escape from a place called Duo's Comet. Now I know that you're thinking regarding that place, but we'll get to that another time, give that it's another story. After that, as they were heading back, some of his remaining data caught up, and Rockman willingly took it back with him. We all thought that was the last of him... Until recently.
Gumdramon: So, we're basically dealing with a ghost from the past?
Dr. Hikari: I suppose you could say that. (He then turns over to Meijin, going over the damage on the Synchro Chip.) Meijin, what's the damage report on the Synchro Chip?
Meijin: (Groans.) It's pretty bad, Dr. Hikari. If the damage wasn't this level of extensive, I would be able fix it, but given SciLabs' current state, not to mention the fact that the necessary equipment to repair both it, and Rockman are out of commission, and in need of replacing, we can't fix either of them.
Netto: (Distraught.) W-What? That can't be! (Turns back to the monitor Rockman is on.) Rockman...
Dr. Hikari: (Deep in thought.) Hmmmm... Well, if that's the case, then it looks like we'll be paying a visit to the Cross Fusion Research Institute in Syacclea. They most definitely have the equipment necessary to do both.
Netto: Eh? We'll be going to Syacclea?
Gumdramon: (Tilting his head?) Syacclea? What's that? Is that some kind of food topping?
Netto: (Laughing sheepishly.) Eheheheh... No Gumdramon, it's actually a foreign country. There's a Research Institute there, which mainly focuses on the whole Cross Fusion concept.
Bokomon: Eh? Really? (Closes his book.) Sounds like my kind of place!
Just as they were about to get further into a conversation, one of the terminals in the room beeped, grabbing everyone's attention, as Meijin went over to it.
Netto: What's that, Meijin-san?
Meijin: No need for formalities. It's a call from the Net Police. (he answers the call, and Commissioner Kifune comes up on the screen.)
Netto: Oh! Kifune-san! What is it?
Kifune: (On Screen.) Hello, Netto-kun. I'm calling to let you all know that the Cross Fusion Research Institute has just sent out a request for all Cross Fusion members, along with Meijin and Dr. Hikari to report there as soon as possible.
Netto: Eh? Really?
Dr. Hikari: Well, that's a coincidence! We were just talking about going there, regarding Rockman's condition, along with Netto's Synchro Chip.
Kifune: (On Screen, in a grave tone.) Mmm, yes I heard. Also, if you're wondering why they've sent out a request, all they've said is that it's regarding something that should give us an edge against the Bagra Army.
Netto: An edge?
Everyone else in the room, including the Digimon, just look at eachother in confusion. Later on, after having picked up Meiru and Dingo, they left for the airport, where Enzan, having got the same message as they have, said that he had a private jet waiting for them. As they were walking through the airport with their suitcases, along with Rush walking alongside them, Meiru couldn't help but walk in excitement.
Meiru: Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! This is gonna be my very first time in both Sharo, and Syacclea!
Dingo: Oh, that's right. You've hardly ever been to either one of those places, right?
Meiru: (Turning to Dingo.) Right! Oh, I cannot wait to do some awesome sightseeing while we're there!
Rush: (Agreeing with her.) Ao!
Netto: (Sweat-dropping.) M-Meiru-chan, we're not going there for sightseeing, remember?
Meiru: Eh...? Eh!? Oh come on, Netto! Like Dingo said, I've never been to either Sharo or Syacclea! This is like a once in a lifetime opportunity for me!
Roll: (Appearing on his shoulder.) Now now, Meiru-chan. You never know, maybe you'll get the chance some other time.
Meiru: (Sulking.) Awww, not you too, Roll.
Rush: (Sulking as well.) Ao...
Nenji [Off Screen]: Yo, Netto!
Netto: Huh? (Turns, seeing another Cross Fusion member, Nenji Rokushakudama, approach them, while carrying a large backpack.) Oh, Nenji-san!
Dingo: Hey! What's up, Nenji-san?
Nenji: (Fist bumping with Dingo.) Oh, nothing much. Although, my boss said that me and Nenjiro have been doing such a fantastic job with fireworks, he's considering giving me a raise! How sweet is that!
Napalmmon: (Appearing on his shoulder, and yelling in his ear.) Again, my name's not Nenjiro, it's Napalmman!
Nenji: (Rubbing his ear.) Ugh. You know, one downside about the current PET model, is that it allows Nenjiro (A tick mark forms on Napalmman's head.) to be louder than before.
Napalmman: (Yelling in the ear again.) Not Nenjiro, Napalmman!
Nenji: Aaaarghh! Cut that out!
Netto: (Smiles sheepishly.) Some things just never change.
Rockman: (Appearing on his shoulder.) You can say that again, Netto-kun.
Dr. Hikari: Glad you could make it, Nenji.
Nenji: Heh! Even though fireworks are my game, I wouldn't miss something as important as this for the world!
Dr. Hikari: Well in that case, I suggest that we hurry up, and meat up with Enzan at the jet
Meijin: You can say that again, Dr. Hikari.
Several minutes later, they all make their way to the airports exterior by the runway, where they see a private jet, and Enzan waiting at the jet's steps. He smiles, and waves at them.
Enzan: Glad you could all make it.
Netto: (Smirks.) There's no way we'd turn down a request for all Cross Fusion members to assemble, Enzan. Anyways, let's go!
Not long after boarding, they were flying in the sky towards Sharo. Inside, Netto had let Gumdramon, Bokomon, Neamon, and Bacomon out of the Xros Loader to enjoy the ride. Of course, he couldn't let either Footmon, or Runnermon out, given that they were a bit big to fit inside the jet. At the moment, Gumdramon, Bokomon, and Bacomon were looking outside the window at the landscape far below them, while Neamon was sound asleep on his seat.
Gumdramon: WHOA, this is amazing!
Bokomon: You never get sights like these back the Digital World!
Bacomon: (Shaking in fear.) W... W-We're... so high up.
Nenji: (Looking at them curiously.) So those are the Digimon that I've heard about, huh?
Netto: Heh-heh. I know it's hard to believe that guys like these actually exist, but they're definitely the real deal. The little purple dragon is Gumdramon, the duck with the book is Bokomon, the sleeping rabbit in shorts is Neamon, and the box person is Bacomon. Oh, and also, there's Footmon and Runnermon currently in my Xros Loader here. (Holds up his Xros Loader.) I'd show them to you, but they're a bit big to fit in the jet.
Runnermon [Off Screen]: (From inside the Xros Loader.) Hey! We heard that!
Footmon [Off Screen]: (From inside the Xros Loader.) Oh, relax man. It's only for the ride. Once we get there, we'll be able to come out.
Enzan: Yes, but not exactly in public. Don't want others seeing you.
Footmon [Off Screen]: (From inside the Xros Loader.) Oh, uh... right.
Runnermon [Off Screen]: (From inside the Xros Loader.) Aww, man!
Nenji: Haha, I'm liking them already!
Dr. Hikari: Glad too hear that. Anyways, for the time being, let's hope that nothing serious happens while we're at the Research Institute, given that all the current Cross Fusion members are going to present there, it would also be the perfect opportunity for the enemy to try and pull something in order to eliminate us.
Enzan: Which is also why we'll also be on high alert, Dr. Hikari.
Dr. Hikari: Of course, it's just that now that they have Beastized Viruses that can substantiate in the real world, as well as being able to appear in the real world themselves, and targeting the Dimensional Area Generators around the world, it just goes to show how the Bagra Army, especially DarkRockman, knows how to handle their opponents.
Meijin: Well, if that is the case, then we can only hope that whatever the Research Institute has been working on gives us the "edge" we need.
Gumdramon: You said it, Meijin-san!
Meijin: Wha-... not you too! A-And also, no need for formalities.
Dingo: (Patting him on the shoulder.) Ah, relax Meijin-san! Whatever's going on over there will definitely take your mind off of it.
Meijin: Dingo... What did I just say?
Meiru: *Sighs* ...Things are definitely gonna get interesting from here on out.
Roll: (Appearing on her shoulder.) You said it, Meiru-chan.
Rush: Ao.
Meiru: (Perking up.) But, on the bright side, we can go sightseeing in both Sharo and Syacclea!
Rush: Ao!
Netto: ...They just completely forgot that we won't be doing any of that on this trip, didn't they.
Roll: ...It would seem so.
Netto: (Looks at them while sweatdropping for a few moments, before he takes out his PET, looking at the blank screen on it.) ...Just hang on, Rockman.
Meanwhile, inside the lair, Forte Cross DarkRockman is seen reading something on a holographic screen, with an amused look on his face, while Lilithmon, Blastmon, and the 3 Evilmons standing before him.
Forte Cross DarkRockman: (Smirks.) Well... Not only is Netto-kun's Synchro Chip badly damaged, but Rockman is also badly damaged himself. And not just all that... Apparently it would seem as though that he, along with the rest of the Cross Fusion members are converging on Syacclea. (His smirk shifts into a wicked grin.) How very interesting.
Blastmon: Syacclea?
Lilithmon: Is that the name of a certain territory in the human world, if so, then why are they all gathering there?
Evilmons: Why, Evil?
Forte Cross DarkRockman: *Chuckles* It's rather obvious, really. Well, for me, since you haven't had the time to do your research on the human world, or particular places. You see, Syacclea is where the Cross Fusion Research Institute, which focuses on the study of the Cross Fusion phenomenon, which is what allows both NetOp and NetNavi to combine. Seeing that we've made ourselves known in the world, it's only natural that would eventually have a big meetup like this, and try to figure out how to counter us.
Lilithmon: Hmmmm, well in that case, I suppose this would be the perfect opportunity to destroy those nuisances in one fell swoop!
Blastmon: Yes! With them out of the way, it would be much easier for the Bagra Army to achieve its goal! Let's go and destroy them!
Evilmons: Destroy them, Evil!
Forte Cross DarkRockman: No... (They all stop, and look at him.) I don't plan on destroying them just yet. I want to make them, particular Netto Hikari and Rockman, both struggle and suffer. I know it may not look it for some of them, but they have very strong wills and resolves to not go down without a fight. If we can drag out a decent fight against them long enough, we can eventually get them to break, and I'm willing to bet that when that happens, we'll be able to squeeze out an unbelievable amount of Negative Energy from them.
Lilithmon: ...Well... When you put it like that, I suppose you make a good point, and given that Lord Bagra said that you're in charge while we're here, I can sort of respect that.
Forte Cross DarkRockman: Nonetheless, that doesn't mean we can't give them a hard time while they're there. Not only that, but we can also at least get a fair amount of Negative Energy as well.
Lilithmon: Mmmm, I guess I can work with that for the time being.
Blastmon: Ugh, works for me to.
Forte Cross DarkRockman: Perhaps what I'm about to say will lighten your moods. You see, Lord Bagra has also had the liberty of reviving some Digimon of the Bagra Army that had been defeated in battle, particularly by the Army known as Xros Heart.
Blastmon: Tch! Just the mere mention of those blasted brats from Xros Heart makes my nonexistent blood boil! Not to mention the fact that during my last fight with them, I was reduced to a mere head! I have nevver been so humiliated in my life!
Lilithmon: Yes, I have to agree with you there, Blastmon. (Turns back to Forte Cross DarkRockman.) Anyways, given the mention of revived Digimon, I take it you'll be sending at least one their way?
Forte Cross DarkRockman: Yes, along with yourself, Lilithmon. Also, before you ask who it is, he's standing right behind you.
They turn to see multiple shadowed out Digimon walking, and the front-most Digimon turned out to be... IceDevimon! He has completely white clothing, fingers elongated into claws, devil's horns, tattered wings, and skulls on his shoulder and knee. He has the deep magenta Mark of Evil on both his chest and left boot. And behind is a whole army of Hyougamon. They're Digimon that resemble that of blue ogres with long, unkempt white hair, pointed ears adored by earrings, a single horn on their heads and an icicle jutting from each of the shoulders. They have very large mouths, with exaggerated lower jaws similar to Violator and have fang-like tusks on the upper jaws like traditional Oni. They're wearing black loincloths held with a belt, black belts on the right arms, nothing on the left arms, blue bandages on the right legs, and black belts on the left legs. They're all carrying large icicles as weapons. They all have marks depicting a skull and crossbones on their left arms below their shoulder icicles, metal studs on the knuckles of their left hands, and scars on the back of their right hands.
IceDevimon: (Cackles confidently.) Hahaha! I have returned from the grave to further enforce the ideals of our great Lord Bagra!
Lilithmon: Wha-!? Oh joy, it's you, IceDevimon. Did Lord Bagra really revive you, because I don't see how someone as incompetent as you would prove to be very useful.
Forte Cross DarkRockman: That's true, and that's simply because I threw in a request to have him revived.
Lilithmon: E-Eh!? Seriously!? Ugh, I can't believe you did that knowing how weak he is!
Forte Cross DarkRockman: Yes I did, and it's the fact that he's considered weak will give our foes a rather big surprise.
Blastmon: Eh?
Lilithmon: What?
Forte Cross DarkRockman: See, given that he boasts about being a powerful member of the Bagra Army despite how weak he really is, it will make our enemies drop their guard, that way, it'll be much easier to take them down.
Lilithmon: Hoooh? Now that sounds like a reasonable plan to me.
IceDevimon: Yes, yes! I wholeheartedly agree with you, Lilithmon-sam-!? Wait, WHAT!? How fare you all call me both weak and incompetent!
Evilmmons: Took you that long to notice, Evil?
IceDevimon: Grr, hey! I heard that!
Forte Cross DarkRockman: Alright, I believe that's enough chitter-chatter out of you lot. Head out there, and gather up Negative Energy! And while you're at it, consider giving the Cross Fusion members a rough time as well...
Lilithmon: Well... Alright, if you insist.
Back to the others, they've just landed at the airport in Sharo, and exit the jet. Gumdramon, Bokomon, Neamon, and Bacomon have all returned to the Xros Loader, given that they need to minimize their presence in the real world so they don't grab unwanted attention. As soon as they do exit the jet, they were originally expecting a form of escort to the Cross Fusion Research Institute, but there wasn't anyone there.
Meijin: That's odd... shouldn't there be a helicopter, or any Sharo military personnel right about now?
Dr. Hikari: (Looks at his watch.) Oh, oops. It would seem as though we're 15 minutes ahead of schedule.
Meiru: (Perking up all of a sudden.) Wait! You mean to say we have at least 15 minutes to ourselves at the moment?
Dr. Hikari: Mm, apparently so, Meiru-chan.
Roll: (Appearing on Meiru's shoulder, looking a her with a worried look.) W-Wait a second, Meiru-chan.
Meiru: (Putting on a devilish smirk.) Well, if that's the case, then... (Quickly turns to Netto.) Netto! Let's use this time wisely, and grab a few early souvenirs! That'll make up for not doing any decent sightseeing while we're here!
Netto: (Stammering.) H-Huh!? So you were listening and-wait... Early souvenirs?
Meiru: *Squeals* Yes! Let's go!
She then quickly runs off, dragging Netto, who screams frantically, with her. Rush struggles on catching up to them. The others just blink a few times, watching the scene in front of them.
Dingo: Ugh... What is up with that girl? It's just another part of the world we're in, so why is she so enthusiastic?
Enzan: You know, that's just it, Dingo. The fact that she doesn't get out as much as us Net Savers, is basically the reason why.
Dingo: (Scratching his head.) I don't get it.
Nenji: Haha! That Netto.
Meijin: You think they'll be back here on time, Dr. Hikari?
Dr. Hikari: *Sighs* Well, yes, but knowing them, it's likely they'll be cutting it close.
Within the airport's Terminal Building, Meiru comes to an abrupt halt, looking around, as Netto uses this moment to catch his breath. This also allows Rush to finally catch up with them.
Meiru: (Looking around eagerly.) Okay, where's a good gift shop!?
Netto: M-Meiru-chan! I get how excited you are to be in Sharo for the first time, but you really need to chill out a bit!
Meiru: (Pouting.) Awwww, but Netto! Since we're gonna be so busy while we're over in Syacclea, we may not get the chance to have some fun time while we're either here or there! I could at least find something to take home as a souvenir if we don't go sightseeing, or experience some of the culture. (Turns to Rush standing right next to him.) C,mon, Rush! Maybe we'll find at least some dog-themed souvenirs from the gift shop.
Rush: (Excitedly.) Ao!
Both Meiru and Rush run off, while Netto just stands there, sweatdropping.
Netto: Honestly... What am I gonna do with her?
Gumdramon [Off Screen]: (From inside the Xros Loader.) Ugh, Netto! I don't wanna make the moment any more painful or anything, but we want to come out and stretch our legs!
Netto: (Leans his head down, close the holster his Xros Loader is in.) Gumdramon, you guys know you can't do that in a crowded public place like this. As soon as we get to the Cross Fusion Research Institute, you'll have the opportunity to come out.
Gumdramon [Off Screen]: (From inside the Xros Loader, groaning.) Fine...
Bokomon [Off Screen]: (From inside the Xros Loader.) And just how long will that take exactly?
Netto: I-I dunno. At least a half-hour or more?
Gumdramon [Off Screen]: (From inside the Xros Loader.) A half-hour!?
Runnermon [Off Screen]: (From inside the Xros Loader.) Are you serious?
Netto: Well, sorry, but you're just gonna have to bare with it.
? [Off Screen]: Netto! (He hears a familiar female voice, as he looks around.) Up here! (He looks up at one of the terminal buildings walkway bridges, and sees fellow Cross Fusion member and friend from Choina, Jasmine.) Hey, Netto!
Netto: (Smiles.) Jasmine! (All of a sudden, Jasmine jumps over the safety rails of the walkway above him, falling down to where he's standing, making him freak out, and quickly tries to position himself to catch her.) Gaaahh! Are you kidding me!? This again!? (All of a sudden, Jasmine takes out her oil-paper umbrella, opening it, and uses it to slow her descent. Charlie: Hey, it's been some time.

Netto: Ah, pretty good. Well, up until recently, with what's happening in the world now.
Telsa: Mmm, yeah that's true. Apparently, because of whatever's happening now, we had to get called here from our vacation on Jawaii Island.
Magnetman: (Appearing on Tesla's shoulder.) They sure have some nerve, interrupting Tesla's vacation with Charlie!
Gyroman: (Appearing on Charlie's shoulder.) Would you drop it already, Magnetman? What other choice did they have? This is another top priority threat that the world is facing.
Charlie: We all know that, Gyroman. But still, why couldn't they just let us have our time, while the rest of the Cross Fusion members get a head start?
Netto: Well, you both know duty calls.
Tesla: Yes, yes. We know.
Charlie: Unfortunately.
Gumdramon [Off Screen]: (From inside the Xros Loader.) Oi! Netto! When are we leaving, 'cause we're getting restless!
Netto: Gah! Okay, okay! We'll be going soon! (The others blink in confusion.)
Charlie: Uh, what was that?
Netto: Huh!? Oh, uh, well, let's just say I'm gonna introduce you all to some guys who happen to be related to what's currently happening.
Meiru [Off Screen]: Netto-kun! (They all turn, seeing Meiru and Rush running back towards them, with Meiru carrying a nesting doll souvenir she bought from the gift shop.) Check it out! I picked out this super cute looking nesting doll, and- (Takes notice of the other Cross Fusion members present.) Oh! Charlie! Tesla! (Lightly glares at Jasmine.) ...Jasmine.
Roll: (Appearing on her shoulder, glaring lightly at Medi.) ...Medi.
Jasmine: Hiya, Meiru!
Medi: Great to see you, Roll!
Meiru and Roll: (Sarcastically.) ...Likewise.
Seeing that things between them were likely to slowly start getting hairy, Netto struggled to come up with something to get them to break it up.
Netto: Um... Err... L-Listen, I think our escort might be just about here, so why don't we all go and meet up with Papa, Meijin-san, Enzan, and Dingo?
Charlie: Works for me.
Tesla: Yes, me too.
Jasmine: Alrighty!
Meiru: ...Hmph! Fine by me.
Medi: Oh, by the way, Netto. Where's Rockman?
Both Netto and Meiru stiffened at the mention of Rockman. They both shared worried glances, making the others both slightly confused and worried, seeing that something must've happened to him.
Netto: It's kinda hard to explain, so... we'll explain on the way there.
Later on, they were all in a large helicopter with Dr. Hikari, Meijin, Enzan, and Dingo, flying their way to the Cross Fusion research Institute in Syacclea. Dr. Hikari, Meijin, Netto, and Enzan took this time to explain to those not in the know of the current events. At the same time, Gumdramon was riding on Netto's lap, feeling the joy of the helicopter ride. Unfortunately, not all of the could come out, as it would make the helicopter ride a bit too crowded. This, of course, made the rest of the Net Savers Digimon a bit envious of Gumdramon, whom was looking out the side of the helicopter.
Gumdramon: Yahoo! First we were on a private jet, now a helicopter! Humans sure have fun ways of getting around!
Runnermon [Off Screen]: (From inside the Xros Loader.) Hmph. Lucky.
Netto: (Looking at his Xros Loader.) Now, now, Runnermon. You'll have the chance to come out at the Research Institute.
Charlie: You know, this is still a lot to take in. I mean, Digimon, DigiXros, Bagra Army, DarkRockman, and both your Synchro Chip and Rockman badly damaged.
Nenji: I know exactly how you all feel! I had a hard time believing it all too.
Netto: Yeah. Of course, the last 2 thing you mention Charlie, regarding Rockman and my damaged synchro chip, those are apparently the original reasons why I needed to come here.
Dr. Hikari: Well, whatever the Research Institute has for us, that they claim to be an edge, I hope it doesn't take up too much time, given that both Rockman and the Synchro Chip need to be repaired as soon as possible, given that the enemy could strike at any tme. (Looks out the helicopter, seeing that they coming up on the Cross Fusion Research Institute.) Oh, it looks like we're already here.
As soon as they find themselves right above the Research Institute, the helicopter they're all riding lands. As soon as they disembark from the helicopter, they then notice another helicopter land not too far from them.
Netto: Hm? Is that... (The helicopter's door opens up, and stepping out of it, is non-other than the princess of Creamland, Pride.) Pride!
Pride: (Notices him.) Netto!
Netto: (Running over to her.) It's been a while!
Pride: Yes! Well... not that long, since when I last saw you is when you returned from Beyondard about 2 months ago. (Takes notice of everyone else present.) And it's great to see you all as well!
Knightman: (Appearing on Pride's shoulder.) Great to see you.
Pride: (Notices Gumdramon.) Huh? Uh...
Gumdramon: (Confused.) What?
Netto: Umm, yeah, this is Gumdramon. I'll explain what he is once we get inside.
Runnermon [Off Screen]: (From inside the Xros loader.) Oi, Netto! (Grabs his attention.) We're already here, so why aren't we out already?
Netto: Ah, hehehe, alright. You guys can come out. (To everyone else present.) Alright everyone, you might want to step way back. (They all do, while some of them are confused why.) Reload!
In a bright flash of light, all of the Net Savers Digimon team exit the Xros Loader, and materialize in the real world. This catches the surprise of the NetOps and NetNavis who've yet to actually meet them.
Footmon: Woohoo! Alright, we're here!
Runnermon: (Looking around.) So, this is Syacclea, huh?
Bacomon: (Nervous.) Wow, uh... I-I didn't expect so many people here.
Bokomon: (To Bacomon.) Oh relax, Bacomon, they don't bite.
Neamon: Zzzzz...
Charlie: Hoooh, so these guys are the members of your team, Netto?
Netto: Yep, they sure are!
Laika [Off Screen]: Good. You're all here. (They all turn to see Laika, and surprisingly, Makoto Aoki walking up to them.) We should hurry inside. Time is of the essence.
Makoto: (Waving.) Hey, Meijin-kun!
Meijin: (Surprised.) Eh!? Makoto-kun!? W-What are you doing here?
Makoto: Well, let's just that I'm part of the reason you're all here!
Meijin: Oh, er... Ahem ...This is Makoto Aoki. She's the daughter of a former teacher of mine, as well as a brilliant scientist.
Makoto: For those of you not in the know, I'm also Meijin-kun's Ex-girl-fri-end.
Charlie, Dingo, Nenji, Jasmine, Pride, Tesla, and their respective NetNavi's, along with the Digimon present: ...Eh? ...Eeeeeeeeeh!?
Meijin: (Embarrassed.) M-Makoto-kun! (Turns awkwardly to a bunch of the others, whom have slightly amused looks on their faces.) Oh, you can all stop that.
Laika: Um, shouldn't we be heading inside now?
?: Yes, there's much to discuss. (They all turn to see Yuriko, Dark Miyabi, and an old man wearing a hot walking towards them.)
Netto: Oh, Yuriko! Miyabi-san! And... (Sees that the old man is Dr. Wily.) Eh!? Dr. Wily!? (This grabs everyone elses attention.)
Dr. Hikari: What!?
Meijin: Him!?
Gumdramon: (Blinking.) Who's this old geezer.
Netto: An old enemy of ours. Dr. Wily. (This surprises all of the Digimon present.)
Gumdramon: Eh!? An enemy!?
Runnermon: Then why is he here!?
Dr. Wily: Oh, relax. We'll go over the reasons for my presence here once we get inside.
Though they were a little unsure about him, with what's currently happening now, they knew it'd probably be best to get as much help as they could get, so they reluctantly agreed, and went inside the Research Institute. Later on, they were all in the conference room, where Dr. Hikari was giving everyone the rundown of everything that has happened so far, and everything they've so far found out about their enemy, the Bagra Army, as well as Forte Cross DarkRockman. In a way, everyone whom was new to this information were more than a little lost for words.
Pride: The Bagra Army... I can't believe that a faction like that exists.
Jasmine: All those poor Digimon suffering under their rule... That's just awful.
Tesla: Okay, I know I was the former head of Neo World Three, but even I'll admit that's just way over the top.
Nenji: Tch! Those bastards! Try to expand their territory to our world, will they?
Dr. Wily: (Clapping his hands to get their full attention.) Yes, yes. I understand how you all feel about this "Bagra Army", but please put those frustrations aside for the time being, and listen to what I'm about to say. It's originally why you're all here. (Dr. Hikari takes his seat, as they all listen, though still on edge, given that the person they're about to listen to is Dr. Wily himself.) Now then, I know you all know me as the infamous Dr. Wily, whom has his own ambitions on taking over the world, and that at least some of you have doubts... However, for the time being, given that the new enemy that the world is facing now may very well be more cunning and dangerous than what we've previously faced, that's all being pushed aside. I've had a hunch that one day the Dimensional Area Generators may end-up being rendered completely useless... Well, one of them.
Meijin: Don't rub it in, please.
Dr. Wily: So, for several months now, I've been working on a special kind of side-project which should prove to be most beneficial in future fights to come. (Presses a button, and a 3D display of what looks like a Synchro Chip appears on the large screen behind him. However, this Synchro Chip seems to be a highly upgraded version of the normal Synchro Chip.) I give to you, the Super Synchro Chip! (Aside from Yuriko and Miyabi, everyone else in the room are majorly shocked.)
Dr. Hikari: What!?
Netto: Super Synchro Chip!?
Dr. Wily: Yes. It is an upgraded form of the original Synchro Chip. However, unlike the original, it doesn't require a Dimensional Area to perform Cross Fusion.
Enzan: Doesn't require a Dimensional Area!?
Dr. Wily: (Nods, before showing a few other images of it currently being worked on in the Research Institue's lab.) It is currently nearing completion here at the Research Institute. Two of the final components required for it is an ultra-compressed form of the Dimensional Element that I have just recently completed, along with the new energy conversion program that Makoto Aoki is working on.
Meijin: Eh!? (Turns to Makoto.) A new energy conversion program!? So, is this the reason why you're here, Makoto-kun?
Makoto: Mmhmhm. You know it. Seeing that something like that was also required for the Super Synchro Chip, as well as seeing my potential, Dr. Wily just recently sought me out.
Dr. Wily: Yes. Overall, I suppose you could all say that the Super Synchro Chip would be considered over technology. Unfortunately, due to the fact that coming up with an ultra-compressed form of the Dimensional Element was not easy, even for me, I'm afraid that this one is the only one in production, and creating more will take some time.
Dr. Hikari: Understandable. Given that creating something as high-tech as the Dimensional Element is not easy.
Dr. Wily: Anyways, through some sources of mine, I've found out about Rockman's current condition, and I believe that by using the Super Synchro Chip to perform Cross Fusion with him, while also having your... Xros Loader on you while doing so, will not only repair him, but will also ensure that he never gets damaged like this ever again.
Netto: Eh!?
Dr. Hikari: What!?
Gumdramon: Really!?
Bokomon: S-Seriously!?
Nenji: No fair! Why does he get to be the first one to use the Super Synchro Chip!?
Charlie: Well, this is Rockman we're talking about here, Nenji.
Netto: A-Are you for real! Not only will I get the chance to be the first one try out the new Synchro Chip, but it'll also repair Rockman, as well as making him withstand the pressure of being a walking Xros Loader!? (Dr. Wily just merely nods in response.) Wow! I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but... Thanks a lot, Dr. Wily!
However, as soon as he said that, the alarms within the Research Institute go off, catching pretty much everyone in the room by surprise.
Meiru: (Worried.) W-What the-?
Dingo: Whoa! What's that!?
At a nearby city in Syacclea, not far from the border between there and, Sharo, it was complete chaos! Innocent civilians were running for their lives, as a whole lot of Hyougamon are seen literally trashing the place, destroying everything in their path. From the top of one of the buildings, IceDevimon, along with Lilithmon, were watching the whole thing below them, as neither one of them couldn't help but smirk evilly.
Lilithmon: Oh my, how I just adour the sight of running and screaming! I know this may not be the most populated city of this particular area of the human world, but at least we should be able to squeeze out a good chunk of negative energy.
IceDevimon: I am so happy that you approve of this, Lilithmon-sama! I'd do anything to please you!
Lilithmon: Oh, really? Well then, why don't you prove to me that you're not as incompetent as you were before, when you went up against those pathetic brats from Xros Heart? As a small treat, I'll give you a little something that should give you a decent advantage. (A pitch-black orb of dark energy forms in her hand, before passing it over to IceDevimon, before disappearing somewhere.)
IceDevimon: Hm? What is it? (Touches the orb, but when he does, he is then cloaked in dark energy, signifying that he's been given the Dark Aura.) Aaaaaaargh! Ahh! T-This is... (Calms down all of a sudden, and after a few moments, raises his head, showing a sinister-looking face.) Hehehehehe... Yes! The energy... Feels good!
Back at the Research Institute, everyone has entered the control room, where they're watching the events unfold on the monitors.
Meiru: W-What in the world!?
Nenji: Eeeeeh!? What are those things!?
Enzan: Those definitely don't look like beastized viruses to me... Wait! Does that mean-!?
Bokomon: (Looking at his book.) Yes! They're Digimon! (Grabs their attention.) Hyougamon to be exact! They normally live in freezing cold areas. They're highly territorial Digimon, and won't hesitate to attack anyone or anything that steps so much as one foot within their territory.
Netto: Hyougamon, huh? But, why exactly is a whole bunch of them attacking a nearby city? Are they also part of the Bagra Army or something?
Gumdramon: I'd say so. And if they're trying to grab our attention, then they definitely got!
Dr. Hikari: Argh! Even if the Super Synchro Chip were to be completed, we would probably still have to put Rockman's repairs on hold for the time being.
Dr. Wily: Well in that case, we'd batter take care of this mess first.
Makoto: We'll stay behind and try to finish up the Super Synchro Chip!
Meijin: Alright! (Turns to all of the Cross Fusion members, as well as the Digimon.) Everyone else, take the helicopters currently on standby over there, and take them out!
Cross Fusion members and Digimon: Roger!
Soon enough, they all boarded two of the helicopters on standby, with both Laika and Charlie at the controls, and took off towards the nearby city. Back in the Research Institute, Makoto Aoki was furiously typing away at the keyboard, trying her hardest to get as much of the energy conversion program finished as fast as she could.
Makoto: I gotta hurry up and get as much of the Super Synchro Chip's energy conversion program completed as possible! In a way, it's a lot more complex than the one made for the copyroids.
Meijin: (Walks over to the console she's working at.) Let me help you out with that, Makoto-kun.
Makoto: (Looks up at him, before nodding while blushing.) Alright. Thanks, Meijin-kun. (Winks at him, making him blush a bit.)
Meijin: Ahh, uh... Don't mention it. (Puts his serious face back on, before turning to Dr. Hikari.) Dr. Hikari, while I help out Makoto-Kun here, and while Dr. Wily is overseeing the completion of the Super Synchro Chip, could you man the controls for the Dimensional Area Generator?
Dr. Hikari: Sure thing Meijin! (Runs off to the controls.)
Back with the others, they were closing in on the nearby city, when their PETs started to ring.
Dr. Hikari [Off Screen]: Netto-kun! Everyone!
Netto: Eh? What is it, Papa?
Dr. Hikari: [Off Screen]: Listen up! I'm going to create a Dimensional Area within the area of the City the Hyougamon are all in, and trap them in there. Once I've done that, I'm gonna create two more around your respective helicopters with the same frequency.
Laika: And in doing so, we'll be able to enter the city Dimensional Area with ease.
Dr. Hikari [Off Screen]: Exactly! Alright, eyes up! You're all coming up on the city now! (They all see that they were almost at the city. Back at the Research Institute, Dr. Hikari is just entering the coordinates, before firing up the Dimensional Area Generator.) Dimensional Area, activate! (The Research Institute's Dimensional Area Generator fires a blast towards the city, right past the two helicopters, and forms a large Dimensional Area, trapping the Hyougamon inside.) Now, two more times! Dimensional Area, activate! (The Generators fire two more blasts, this time, at the helicopters, forming a pair of Dimensional Areas around them. They then slowly approach the Dimensional Area covering the city, before making contact with it with their Dimensional Areas. They feel the tremendous aftershock of Dimensional Areas colliding, but the manage to make through, right before their respective Dimensional Areas around the helicopters deactivate, and they then land safely on the ground.) Alright! They're in!
Back with the others, they then exit the helicopters, right before they notice a large number of Hyougamon a fair distance away. Right after destroying a car with its club of ice, one Hyougamon takes notice of the group, before letting out a loud scream, grabbing a bunch of the other Hyougamon's attention, as they then turn to the group as well.
Netto: Looks like we have their attention. (Holds up his Xros Loader.) Reload! (Gumdramon, Footmon, and Runnermon materialize.)
Gumdramon: Oh yeah! Let's show these creeps what we've got!
Netto: (Holding him back.) Whoa there, Gumdramon. How about you all witness what the rest of everyone else here can do? (They all look at him in confusion, then to the rest of the cross Fusion members.)
Meiru: Rush! Synchro Chip mode!
Rush: Ao! (Changes into the Rush Synchro Chip.)

Footmon: Well, it looks like this is gonna be fun!
Enzan: Sonic Boom! (Unleashes an energy slash, right through some Hyougamon, deleting them.)
Meiru: Heart Slash! (Launches a barrage of flying hearts, deleting a few Hyougamon.)
Laika: Scope Gun! (Fires an energy shot from his rifle at a Hyougamon, deleting it instantly.)
Charlie: Tornado Arm! (Fires a tornado blast from his arm, blowing a few Hyougamon away, and right into a wall, deleting them.)
Nenji: Fire Bomb! (Fires a pair of bombs from the cannons on his back at some Hyougamon, and explode, deleting them.)
Dingo: Tomahawk Air Raid! (Throws his axe like a boomerang at a Hyougamon, deleting it.)
Jasmine: Chemical Flash! (Launches two blue and red sphere-shaped capsules at a pair of Hyougamon, deleting them.)
Pride: Royal Wrecking Ball! (Rotates her wrecking ball around herself, before throwing it forward, straight at a Hyougamon, deleting it.)
Tesla: NS Tackle! (Creates a blue duplicate of herself, before they both dash forward.)
Yuriko: Needle Cannon! (Fires needles from her arm at a few Hyougamon, instantly deleting them.)
Miyabi: Fire no Jutsu! (Shoots multiple blasts of fire at some Hyougamon, deleting them.)
Netto: Alright guys, it's our turn! (Holds up his Xros Loader.) Gumdramon! Digivolve!
Gumdramon: Gumdramon Digivolve to... Arresterdramon!
Jasmine: (Turns, looking right at Arresterdramon.) Eh!? Is that really Gumdramon?
Nenji: Whoa! Incredible!
Charlie: Now that is what I call a sight!
Dingo: Haha! That sight never gets old!
Arresterdramon: Spiral Shredder! (Spins rapidly, cutting through a bunch of Hyougamon with his Tail Anchor, deleting them instantly.)
Runnermon: Heartbeat Impulse! (Shoots energy blades from his tail, slicing apart some more Hyougamon.)
Footmon: Lightning Shoot! (Kicks a ball of light at a Hyougamon, as it bounces off, hitting another, and continues to do so with some more Hyougamon.)
Netto: Alright! It looks like we've got this fight in the bag!
IceDevimon [Off Screen]: (Cackling evilly.) Hahaha! Is that really what you think!? (They all look around in confusion, until IceDevimon Lands hard on the ground right in front of them) Then I'm afraid you've all got another thing coming!
Enzan: (Points his sword at him.) Who are you!?
IceDevimon: I am IceDevimon of the Bagra Army! And I cannot wait to destroy each and every last one of you! (Lets out an extremely loud scream, as he absorbs all of the remaining Hyougamon present into his body, which grows to a large tremendous size, as well as his limbs getting much bulkier.)
Tesla: What the...?
Laika: He just absorbed all the remaining Hyougamon into his body!
Back at the Research Institute, Dr. Hikari is currently watching the events unfold, and then notices that IceDevimon has the Dark Aura around him.
Dr. Hikari: (Over the coms.) Everyone, be careful! He's got the Dark Aura!
Back with the others
Enzan: Roger that! Battle Chip! Fire Blade! Slot-In! (A Fire Blade forms on his arm, before unleashing a fiery slash at IceDevimon.) Haaah!
IceDevimon: Argh! (Feels the attack hitting him, but manages to withstand it.) Heh, you're pretty good! But, not good enough! Zero Freeze! (He fires a freezing beam from his eyes at them. They manage to get out of the way, as the beam hits the ground, freezing it, along with some of the outside walls of nearby building, in thick ice, as well.)
Arresterdramon: Tch! Let's see how you lick this! Flog Shot! (Attempts to take a chop at IceDevimon with his Tail Anchor, but easily evades it.) Damn!
IceDevimon: Cold Breath! (Blows a freezing breath at Arresterdramon, whom narrowly avoids it. He then looks sinisterly down at the rest of the Cross Fusion members.) Hehehehehe! Let's see how high and mighty you all are... (Looks up at the Dimensional Area.) Without your little ability to transform! Icy Shower! (He releases a huge continuous barrage of icicles from his wings, up at the Dimensional Area.)
Dr. Hikari: (Notices that the Dimensional Area is about to be destroyed.) Oh no! The Dimensional Area!
IceDevimon manages to destroy the Dimensional Area, as all the other Cross Fusion members suddenly change back to normal.
Yuriko: What the-!?
Pride: Our Cross Fusion!
Dingo: Aww come on! Not again!
IceDevimon: Hehehehe! What are you gonna do now!?
Netto: Tch! Looks like we'll have to DigiXros! Ready guys?

Runnermon: Let's teach this guy a lesson!

FlashArresterdramon: (Manages to avoid it.) Hmph. You'll have to do better than that. Afterimage Rush! (Uses his extraordinary speed to disappear from sight, and then make it look like he's coming from all sides, before striking IceDevimon in his blind spot.)
IceDevimon: Gaaaah! Why you little!
Netto: Alright! He's got him on the ropes!

FlashArresterdramon: Bye bye! (Pulls back his fist, before attempting to land a hit on him.)
IceDevimon: (Smirks, before he suddenly manages to grab hold of FlashArresterdramon's fist, catching him by surprise.)

Netto: (Frantically calling out to him.) FlashArresterdramon!

Out of nowhere, an icy claw attack strikes IceDevimon from behind, making him cry out in pain, thus being forced to release FlashArresterdramon. They all turn to see an unknown Digimon flying in the air right behind IceDevimon. The Digimon is a white humanoid dragon Digimon that has ice covering most of its body such as its limbs, and head which resembles a crown. Behind its crown, is spiky white hair that stretches around its neck. It wears armor throughout its body in blue and light blue with an exposed white abdomen. The wings of this Digimon are two metal extensions holding two large icicles that are shaped like rockets.
FlashArresterdramon: What the...?
Netto: Another Digimon?
IceDevimon: How dare you!? Who do you think you are!?
?: Hmph. Like I care telling someone like you who I am. I was just passing by, saw a fight going, thought I might join in, but now that I look at it, you're a complete waste of time.

?: Oh, shut it already. Frozen Claw! (Releases another Icy claw attack at him, forcing him to crash on the ground.)
Netto: Whoa... What power!
Dingo: Alright! He got him!
IceDevimon: Why you! I'll remember this! (Disappears somewhere.)
FlashArresterdramon: Argh... Looks like he got away.
Enzan: Then I suppose that means we haven't seen the last of him?
Netto: (Looks up at the unknown Digimon.) Hey, thanks for the help, erm...
?: Mmm... Just because you don't seem like total idiots, compared to that idiot that was just here, I'll tell you my name. It's CrysPaledramon.
