Sam was about ready to cry.

She was stuck at the top of her room, floating near the ceiling, suffering from broken gravity. It's like she had that damn mosquito ghost inside her again except there was no way to fix it this time. She'd just have to learn how to control it.

Sam didn't want to learn to control it. She had always thought having ghost powers would be cool and that she'd do all sorts of cool things with them if she ever got the chance. But now she had them and she couldn't even control whether or not she was floating.

It was taking her longer to control her powers than it had taken Danny to do so. He told her it was probably because they were trying to give people ghost powers and make halfas the wrong way, but still. She just wishes she could lay down on her bed instead of up by the ceiling.

Jazz had tried talking to her about her malfunctioning powers. Said that it could be taking longer due to the trauma associated with them and the way she received them. Sam didn't want to think about that.

All Sam wanted to do was lay on her bed. Not the ceiling.

She didn't know why she was having such a hard time with it anyways. It's not like she was the worst case from the facility. Star literally died and Sam was upset at being a human having ghost powers.

Suddenly a knock came from her window.

"Hello? Sam?"

Danny stuck his head through the wall and looked around her room. She cleared her throat and his head swiveled up towards her and he smiled, a bit sheepishly.

"Still having trouble with that?"

She rolled her eyes. "Of course not, Danny, I just love hanging out on the ceiling."

He flew the rest of the way in through the wall and crossed his arms. "You don't have to be mean about it. I just wanted to make sure you were actually stuck."

Sam softened and groaned. "I know. You're right. This is just frustrating."

Danny reclined on his back in the air. "I know."

"I mean." Sam continued. "How did you even learn to control it? It's taking me twice as long to do it and I've barely even made any progress."

"I thought human thoughts."

She rolled her eyes. "Human thoughts."

"Yeah." Danny sat up to look at her. "Like how humans are heavy and warm. How we have a pulse and we're not green or gray or something. Stuff like that."

Sam huffs and closes her eyes. Thinks about the few things that still make her feel human. After a few moments she starts to sink and her back lands on her bed.

"See? Not too hard."

Sam opens her mouth, about to shoot back a retort when she hears a muffled voice from outside her window.

"Danny? Is Sam okay? Can I come in yet?"

Danny gasps. "I forgot about Tucker!"

He shot through the wall and despite her sour mood she laughed at him. A moment later he was phasing through the wall again with Tucker and they both landed on her bed.

"So." Tucker said and shot her a look. "I heard you got stuck."

Sam threw a pillow at his face and he started laughing, throwing it back at her. A warm feeling bubbled up in her chest and she grabbed onto the pillow and she smacked into the side of his face.

It wasn't much, but this made her feel very human in this moment.
