Seven years have passed since the defeat of Cell lucky no one recognizes Gohan from the fight he is happy for the lack of attention for now Goten is now ten years old and Gohan is about to turn seventeen Gohan has started going to a school called the orange star highschool to further his studies he spends his free time training with Goten Goku and Bardock one day Gohan saw a bank robbery on his way to school he turns super saiyan and stops the robbery this gives him the hero name the golden warrior a few weeks go by and a girl named Videl figured out the connection between the golden warrior and Gohan one day Videl walks over to Gohan and says "So Gohan tell me are you the golden warrior" Gohan replies "No he has blonde hair I have black hair" Videl responds "You both have the same body build and you both have tails tell me the truth" Gohan says "OK fine I am but please don't tell anyone I like my private life" Videl responds "I won't tell anyone if you teach me how to fly and do that blonde hair thing" Gohan replies "I can teach you how to fly but the blonde hair thing might be difficult I'm not sure if full blooded humans can do it" Videl asks "What do you mean full blooded humans" Gohan answers "Oh nothing sorry just thinking out loud ignore that" later that day Videl finds Gohan's house in the mountains she sees Goku and Bardock fighting in their super saiyan forms she walks up to the house and knocks on the door Goten answers the door and says "Hello can I help you" Videl responds "I'm looking for Gohan" Goten shouts "Gohan some one is here for you" Gohan goes outside Goku sees Gohan and Videl talking he walks over and asks "Hey Gohan who's the girl" Gohan explains he was teaching her how to fly she also wanted to learn that blonde hair thing but that would be difficult Bardock Says "That blonde hair thing you mean super saiyan she's a full blooded human she can't be a super saiyan" Videl responds "Wait what some one please tell me what the hell a super saiyan is" Bardock explains somethings about the saiyan race and that Gohan and Goten are half saiyan half human he also explains the super saiyan form and how it is a transformation caused by rage the angrier the saiyan is the stronger the super saiyan form becomes Videl is shocked but also now understands why Gohan is incredibly strong she knows more about Gohan now and she is more interested in Gohan than she was before over the next ten days Videl learns how to fly she brings up the world martial arts tournament to Gohan and how he should enter Gohan gets Goku Bardock and Goten to sign up Goten gets his best friend Trunks to join Trunks gets Vegeta to join they have one week to train for the tournament
prepare for the tournament
Bardock,Goku,Goten,Gohan,Trunks,Vegeta and Videl enter the tournament before it starts the announcer sees Goku and Bardock and brings them to the ring and tells the spectators that these are two of the three brave warriors that defeated Cell the announcer says "So we know two of the warriors that defeated Cell can you tell us who is the third warrior who was the boy with the two of you" Goku answers "I can't say he wants his privacy me and dad on the other hand don't care about the attention" Bardock agrees just then Gohan enters the ring and says "It's OK dad I don't mind anymore it was mom's wish not mine" Bardock says "Well there you have it the people who killed Cell are me my son Kakarot or as you call him Goku and my grandson Gohan that was seven years ago his mother wanted him to have privacy after all no child should have that much attention" the announcer asks "Do you have proof" Goku Bardock and Gohan transform into their form with red hair the spectators now believe them then Goten goes up to the ring "Hey kid who are you" the announcer asks Goten answers "I'm Goten and I'm the second son of Goku" Goten also transforms into the red hair form to prove it the announcer is confused but Goku explains that when Goten was a baby his hair would randomly flicker between black and red and that it stopped when he was five Goku explains god ki and divine energy and thinks that Goten was born with divine energy Goku Gohan and Bardock got this energy by training with an angel and that energy might have got passed down to Goten Chi-Chi might even have a little bit of divine energy in her
"well that is an interesting story but Bardock Goku do you mind fighting in the ring before the tournament begins" the announcer says Bardock and Goku agree to fight for the crowd they get into their fighting positions both in their red hair form Goku decides to show Bardock something he has been working on he powers up his hair stands up and turns blue his eyes and tail also turn blue Bardock asks "Kakarot when did you get this form" Goku answers "It was Goten's idea the red hair form is just an upgraded version of our base form so I just powerd up to super saiyan while in that form and I got this one Goten calls it super saiyan blue" Bardock and Goku begin to fight Goku is dodging and blocking all of Bardock's attacks and the with one swift punch Bardock is sent out of the ring
the tournament begins
the tournament starts with the children division Goten and Trunks finish the children division by fighting Goten wins the normal tournament starts off with Vegeta fighting Gohan they both power up into super saiyan 2 just then two men jumped in stabbing Gohan with a strange object steeling his energy they run away the group chases them only to find a strange and very round pink man Goku begins to fight the strange man and quickly realizes he can regenerate he tells Bardock that the evil containment wave is the only way to beat this guy Bardock agrees and quickly goes to grab the things needed to perform the technique and eventually he contains the strange enemy an evil wizard and the king of the demon world try to fight the group but Bardock kills them after the fight two people congratulate the group they introduce themselves as the supreme kai and his assistant Kibito the group learns about what the hell just happened Bardock unknowingly just saved the universe from an evil creature know as majin buu Bardock gives the supreme kai the pot containing majin buu Goku then says "That was close but we can't participate in the tournament anymore we took too long" Vegeta then responds "No shit Kakarot"
