So this was inspired by Bl4ckHunter's 'Why with him and not with me?' and my own 'Why with those five women and not wme?', so thank you to Bl4ckHunter.

Anyway, this chapter will have Buffyverse, but chronologically it is set before the Buffyverse entered my series. It's set during Buffy Season 7/Angel Season 4.

So, I'd mentioned that in my series Thanos' Snap took place between Buffy Seasons 6 and 7, and Angel Seasons 3 and 4, and the Snap also damaged the barrier between Dimensions, while the battle of the Supermen made it even worse.

So, this is set sometime after 'Heroes, Magicians and Luthors', but a good while before the barriers got fixed properly, which would be around 'Rise of the Great Demon'.

For Buffy Season 7, this is between 7x8 and 7x9, since I can see Riley coming around then off-screen without any change in the plot, and for Angel this is during 4x8.

Chapter 4- Pathetic loony

Earth-92, Sunnydale

Riley and Samantha had come to Sunnydale again after a few months while tracking a Demon, and the Scooby Gang had helped them take the Demon down.

After that, they were talking in Buffy's house, where Spike was tied up in a room due to the First's influence over him, and he wasn't minding either, though he did seem quite traumatized.

"So, you're telling me Spike has a soul now and is like Angel." Riley said.

"That's right." Buffy said as Riley looked at the door behind which Spike was locked up with narrowed eyes, and was tempted to beat Spike up, due to his inferiority complex, but he was in no mood to be in Buffy's or Sam's bad graces and Willow, Xander, Anya and Dawn shifted, measuring how far they were from the door in case of a fight.

"So, he's good now?" Sam finally asked.

"I don't believe it", Riley said but Buffy grabbed him and dragged him away.

"Riley, he's good now", Buffy assured him.

"Are you sure?" Riley asked. "I heard he tried to rape you."

Buffy seethed and clenched her fist, burying her nails deep into her skin that it would almost bleed and made a mental note to give a verbal to Xander and Dawn.

"He's not like that anymore. He has a soul." Buffy said and Riley, after some consideration, nodded and reluctantly, decided to let go of his grudge with Spike… for now.

"And I heard that you two had it rough one time and tore down a building. Is it true?" Riley asked and Buffy blushed and that was the answer he needed as he sighed. "Never mind, I know what I wanted to know."

"Riley—"

"No, I'm good. Really. I'm good." Riley said quickly. "I'm not gonna do anything stupid like go to vampire whores or take steroids again, don't worry, I promise."

He gave Buffy a pleading look and kept a straight face. Buffy was skeptical but decided to trust him as he left.

"You don't think he's going to do anything stupid like going to visit the vampire whores again, do you?" Dawn asked, when Riley and Sam had left.

"If he did, I'm sure Sam is going to break his bones and he's not stupid enough to risk that… I think." Buffy said but deep down, her and the Scoobies wondered what Riley might do, while Buffy shot Xander and Dawn a glare as they squirmed, realizing they were in for a verbal.

"Riley, are you coming?" Sam asked, when waiting at the car.

"Just give me a minute." Riley said as he went into the back alley, where were piles of garbage.

Next thing Sam knew and what the Scoobies heard from outside house in the alley, were Riley's screams and smashing.

"NOO! NOO! HOW CAN SHE DO IT WITH HIM BUT NOT WITH ME? AAAAGH! WHY?! WHY, BUFFY, WHY?! AAAGH!" The smashing noises and Riley's screams could compare to screams of pain from Tom & Jerry cartoon as Sam waited patiently and looked at her watch, while Riley's tantrum continued for a few minutes and in the house, Buffy, Dawn, Willow, Xander and Anya shared amused smirks, with Spike chuckling in the room where he was tied up. "STEROIDS, NO! VAMPIRE WHORES, NO! HOW CAN I—UAAGHRAAAA! STUPID, RILEY, STUPID!"

The rant echoed through the whole Sunnydale and beyond.

Los Angeles

Angel, Wesley, Fred and Gunn were on their way to Wolfram and Hart via the secret entrance from the sewer when they heard something faint, and Angel found it familiar.

"What is that?" Wesley asked.

"It sounds like a…guy", Fred commented.

"Doesn't sound like a manly man", Gunn quipped.

Angel was thinking…no, he was really pathetic but he wouldn't be so pathetic he would scream out loud, would he? He shook his head in denial and chuckled in amusement, this bringing some levity to him after what he had learnt regarding Cordelia and Connor recently.

He had no idea how Riley's screams were being heard here, but he was glad they were.

And he had to wonder, what Buffy saw in the pathetic, whining moron.

"What's the matter, Angel?" Wesley asked him.

"Nothing, I'll tell you when I'm sure", Angel chuckled, deciding to ask Buffy about this later.

Hyperion Hotel

Lorne and Cordelia were doing some stuff when they heard a faint voice and Cordelia asked. "What is that?"

"Sounds like a whole lot of aggression to me", Lorne shrugged.

Wolfram and Hart, White Room

Mesektet backed off as the Beast marched to her with a smirk, when both heard something faint.

"Who is that?" The Beast wondered.

"Someone weak and fragile", Mesektet told him, only to get a punch on the face as she fell down.

Faith was lying on her cot in prison when she heard a faint noise. It sounded like….no, it couldn't be him, could it? Because if it was, what did Buffy see in that idiot?

With those thoughts, she laughed herself to sleep.

Earth-199999, Avengers Tower

The Avengers were hanging out together when they heard some faint noise.

"What is this annoying sound?" Thor asked.

"Eh, probably some teens trying to be annoying", Tony shrugged.

"Is that Hulk screaming?" Parker asked.

"I'm right here!" Bruce said.

"What could it be then?" Natasha wondered.

"Beats me, Nat", Steve sighed as he sat down.

"Whatever it is, he seems like he can go all day", Bucky quipped as they all chuckled, especially Steve.

"And in his case, not a compliment", Sam added.

"I can smell pathetic all over these screams", Logan commented as they all laughed.

Earth-1, S.T.A.R. Labs

Barry was about to speed out when they heard a faint noise.

"Can you guys hear that or is it just me?" Cisco asked them.

"Oh no, I can hear it too", Caitlin said.

"Maybe someone is trapped in the Speed Force?" Barry half-asked, half-said.

Arrow Cave

Oliver, Sara and Roy were about to go out when they heard a faint screaming type of noise.

"What is that?" Roy asked.

"Sounds like someone in trouble to me", Sara muttered.

"Actually, sounds like someone whining to me", Oliver said as all three laughed, because hearing them more carefully, it did sound like that.

Gotham City, Arkham Asylum

Joker aka Anarchist heard the weird screams and ended up laughing hysterically. "This sounds like a pathetic loony to me."

Earth-167

Clark, Lois, Chloe and Ollie were having lunch together when their ears picked something up.

"Am I the only person hearing that?" Lois asked.

"No, you're not the only one, what could it be?" Ollie wondered.

"Sounds like some insane person", Chloe shook her head.

"Whoever it is, for some reason, I think he brought it on himself", Clark sighed as they chuckled and continued eating.

Earth-2002

Spider-Man looked around, sitting in a café with MJ, weirded out by this screaming kind of sound.

"MJ, how are you not hearing that?" He asked MJ.

"What?" MJ asked, taking her earphones out.

"Ah, right!" Spider-Man realized. "Carry on."

"Wait, what is that?" MJ asked, now hearing it too.

"No idea, but I really don't want to know either", Spider-Man told her.

New York Sanctum

Stephen, Strange, Constantine and Gandalf were in a meeting when they heard the sounds too.

"Is someone here in trouble?" Gandalf asked.

"Nah, mate, I don't think this is worth our time", Constantine shrugged.

"I feel a great disturbance in the Dimensions, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced", Stephen suddenly spoke up.

"We better fix these barriers fast or we will have to endure more of this pathetic mess", Strange groaned.

Earth-2016

Wade was playing a video game when he heard the screaming. "Ah, right! The pathetic Riley's fucking screams echoing through the Multiverse! If anyone doesn't think he's pathetic after this, then the fucking idiot needs expert help, not that it'd do much."

Middle-earth, Mirkwood

Legolas was perched on a tree when his ears picked up the screaming too.

"Blood has been spilled this night", he said grimly.

Minas Tirith

Aragorn, Arwen, Boromir, Faramir and Arwen were in court when they heard the sound too.

"What evil is this?" Boromir asked.

"It does not sound like evil to me", Faramir told him.

"Then what is it?" Eowyn wondered.

"It is…concerning", Arwen noted.

"I believe someone is trying to say something", Aragorn nodded.

The Lonely Mountain

The Dwarves were going about their work when they picked up the noise and Gimli asked. "Do you hear that, father?"

"I do, son, I believe a Man is crying", Gloin told him.

"Weak Man", Gimli scoffed.

Earth-92, Sunnydale

Spike was now laughing hysterically where he was tied up and fell off, breaking his chair and rolling on the ground.

"He's even more pathetic than I remember!" Spike blushed from how hard he was laughing as he banged the ground.

"I'M SO STUPID AND SELFISH AND PATHETIC, SHOULD NEVER HAVE GIVEN HER THE ULTIMATUM! DAMN IT, DAMN ME, DAMN THOSE WHORES! AAAAAAAGH!" Riley exploded, grabbing himself by his hair as if he wanted to rip them off as they heard more smashing and Sam looked at her watch before Riley emerged from the alley with roughened hair and entered, panting out in exhaustion as if he had just finished a marathon.

"You done?" Sam asked.

"I'm good." Riley said, taking a deep breath as he drove off, while Sam looked at the watch impressed. Fifteen minutes of ranting and tantrum over Buffy. Huh.

As they drove off, hysterical laughter exploded inside Buffy's house.

"Oh, my God, he's so unbelievable!" Xander laughed as he held himself by his stomach and bent down.

"He wouldn't leave the room, when I wanted to talk with Angel alone, when he came back into Sunnydale, so we left the room, leaving Riley alone in there!" Buffy remembered as the laughter increased, all the Scoobies laughing hard from how much more pathetic Riley had become before there were sounds of smacking as Xander and Dawn moaned in pain.

"Ow!"

"Yeaough!"

"Stay out of my sex life and next time you run your mouths like that, it's gonna be a lot worse!" Buffy sneered and Xander and Dawn could feel themselves shrink upon meeting her glare, while holding themselves by their reddened cheeks, the mark of Buffy's hand on them both.

And done. Now the whole Multiverse knows how pathetic Riley is, LOL!
