Chapter four:

Kaoru reasons in his head that he had to do it. He had to or else he could have ended up dead. So he finds that he really didn't mind it as much as he had thought he would. "You know. With the fact that they would have killed us if we didn't I actually don't mind it. It was quite exciting in the moment that I think the adrenaline helped with that." He feels a pat on the back from Razzy after he has spoken what he has thought about it.

"Good on you." Razzy nods his head smiling at the ginger haired male. "That's the way to go about it. Why don't you keep that gun for yourself? We can later teach you more about guns next time. So you can become better at using it. Well I mean you did do pretty good at using it this time."

"Thanks." Kaoru nods his head to this. "Though I do think that it would be good for me to get in some more experience." He knows that he is now tightly wound in all of this now because he had joined in on the fight against Ide. He even killed one of the others. So he figures that he should get some more experience in using a gun would be very helpful.

Razzy nods his head once more understanding Kaoru's reasoning without the ginger haired male needing to explain it.

Hikaru glances to his phone to check the time realizing how late it has gotten. He wonders where Kaoru could be or if he came home and he didn't realize it. He gets up to his feet turning off the TV in the living room. He heads to the front foyer just in time as Kaoru comes through the front doors of the mansion. "You were out pretty late." He mentions to the other who turns to him.

"Yeah. Sorry. I got a bit distracted with trying new paths. I didn't realize how late it had gotten." Kaoru rubs the back of his own head apologetically as he gives a smile to his slightly older twin brother.

"Well you're home and that's what matters." Hikaru waves it off. "I am going to head upstairs to have a shower." He doesn't have to say it for his brother to understand that he is free to join him.

After all the two of them have showered together many times, too many to count, while growing up. So they are very comfortable with it not even finding it weird at all.

"You go ahead. I'll head up in a moment." Kaoru agrees to this and for a moment watches his brother head up the stairs to head to their shared bedroom. He turns away and slightly glances to where he has the gun hidden in his waistband. He is glad that his brother hadn't hugged him as he was worried that the gun might be found. He turns away from looking at where he has it hidden. He'll have to keep it somewhere that Hikaru won't be able to find it. He has no idea how he would explain that he has a gun. He also can't just say that it isn't his since if its given to police his fingerprints are all over it. He'd be revealed as the one to have it no time which would reveal that he had been lying about it. He light shakes his head assuring himself that he knows his brother well enough to be able to keep it hidden. He takes off his shoes then heads on up after his brother heading to their bedroom. He takes his time walking there so that way when he makes it to their room Hikaru is already in the shower. He makes sure that he can hear the shower going then he makes sure no one is peeking into the room. He turns away and pulls the gun out of its hiding place in his waistband. He opens his nightstand where in the back there is an old blanket that he liked the look of.

It has a nice slightly dark blue background with a light brown rope pattern weaving around the edges, a darker brown locked chest design in the middle with gold colored metal parts including the lock.

Kaoru knows that his brother doesn't bother with it since it is something that is Kaoru's own. He shifts it then tucks the gun so it is hidden underneath it. He closes the drawer once done before heading to join his brother in the shower feeling more confident about the gun now not being found.

The next morning…

Kaoru and Hikaru are sitting in the living room with their parents who have the news turned on. Hikaru is playing on his phone slightly listening to the news while Kaoru is paying more attention to it like their parents.

"And in breaking news last night there had been a shooting." The news reporter tells all those who are listening in which Hikaru pauses to listen more closely. "Police arrived on the scene however there was no sign of who could have done it. They are investigating with two dead and one gun found at the scene by one of the deceased." The news reporter continues on with the report. "However people in the area report hearing more than one gun going off. So police continue to look into it. However there are gossip that perhaps it had been organized crime that was the cause of this."

"Did you hear any of that while you were out?" Hikaru glances curiously to his brother who shakes his head closing his eyes only for as long as he shakes his head.

"No. I didn't." Kaoru lies to his brother though tries to not show it glad when Hikaru turns back to his phone truly trusting what he is saying. He is glad that no one had seen him or the others in that area at the time.

"Well when you go out you need to be careful until they figure out who did this." Their father warns his son turning to look to Kaoru who turns to meet his eyes.

"I will be." Kaoru promises to him. "And I'll look up the area they were found in so I can avoid it in case the shooters are still in that area." He already knows more than he is allowing himself to let on to his family. He is just glad that none of them notice that he is keeping quiet about the truth.

"Well you two should get ready to head off to school." Their mother stands up turning off the TV. "You don't want to be late."

The twins get to their feet and head off to go get dressed for school.

Meanwhile their parents head elsewhere in the mansion to begin some work together.

Soon enough the twins are in the limo heading off to school for the day.

"I'm just glad that you weren't in the area when that shooting happened." Hikaru mentions and Kaoru nods softly.

"Yeah. I don't know what I would have done. It would have been scary to either witness it or hear it." Kaoru responds and feels his brother pat him on the shoulder. He shares a smile with him truly happy to keep everyone else in the dark.

They don't need to worry about him or get mixed up in all of this. They'll be safer staying in the dark about everything.
