Chapter 4: The deal
Ariel watched in fear as her dad was destroying her stuff. "Daddy no!" Ariel cried. "Daddy please" Ariel said. I swam up to King Triton to try to stop him but all he did was push me off. "stop!" I shouted. "Daddy stop, daddy stop it!" Ariel cried.
Ariel looked at the statue of Prince Eric. King Triton looked at the statue and with a wavy of his trident, he made in dissapere. Ariel fell onto the rock that the statue once stood on and she sobbed. I felt so bad for Ariel.
I was angry at King Tritont. angry at him for offending my kind. angry at him for destroying Ariel's collection. Ariel worked so hard on her collection and now it is destroyed. I am mad at Sebastion too because Sebastion told king Triton about our love,
for Princ Eric. and Princess Selena. I went over to comfort Ariel as she was sobbing. I saw King Triton swimming away. "Ariel I..." Sebastion started but Ariel cut him off. "Just,
go away" Ariel said. "Yeah, why did you have to tell?! You always tell, that's the only thing your good at!" I shouted at Sebastion. Sebastion said nothing and walked away.
Flounder swam away, too. I felt a weird feeling, like we were being watched. I was right. "Poor child, poor sweet children" A voice said. Ariel and I looked up to see two Eele's,
swam up to us. "they has a very serious problem" One said. "If only there was something we can do but there is, something" The one said again. they were circling around us.
"Who...who, are you?" Ariel said. "Yeah, who are you guys?" I said. "Don't be scared girls, we represent someone who can help you" One of them said. "Someone who can,
make your dreams come true" One of them said. "Just imagen, you and your prince and Princess both together, forever" They both said at the same time. "I don't understand"
Ariel said. "Ursula has, great powers" one said. Ariel and I gasped. "The sea witch?" Ariel said. "Who's that?" I said. "Why's that...we couldn't possibly" Ariel started. "No, get,
out, of here, leave us, alone!" Ariel shouted. she then slumped onto the rock. "Suit yourself" The other said. they then started swimming away. "That was only a suggestion"
The, other of them then flicked their tail and a rock went up to us. Ariel and I picked it up and looked at it. we saw it was the part of the face of Prince Eric. "Wait" Ariel said. "Yes?" Both of them said. we both decided for the best, to go see Ursula.
the Eels led us to Ursula. "Ariel, Lana, what are you doing?!" A voice said. we looked and saw Sebastion swimming up to us. I was angry at him and I did not want to see him right now. "Ariel, Lana, what are you girls doing here with this riff-raff?" Sebastion said.
"We're going to see Ursula" Ariel replied. "Yeah, so just, get the hell out of our way" I said. We swam past Sebastion. "Ariel, Lana, no! She's a demon! she's a monster!" Sebastion yelled as he was grabbing our tails. "Why don't you go,
tell my father?! you're good at that!" Ariel shouted. I spat at Sebastion. Ariel and I pushed Sebastion off our tails. Ariel and I kept swimming, following the two Eel's to Ursula.
we got to Ursula's layer. when we got there we found creatures on the ground. a couple of them wrapped themselves around our wrists. Ariel and I were able to get them off,
of us. "Come on in my children. we mustn't lurk in the doorways, it's rude" We heard Ursula say. she swam up to us. "One might question your upbringing" Ursula said with,
a chuckle. Ursula then sat down. "Now then, you guys are here. because you two have a thing for this prince fellow, not that I blame you, He's quite a catch, isn't he?
"Now angelfish, your solution to this problem is simple. the only way to get what you want is to become a human yourself" Ursula said. Ariel and I gasped. "can you do that?"
Ariel said. Ursula smirked. "My dear sweet child that's what I do it's what I live for. To help unfortunate merfolk like yourself. Poor souls with no one else to turn to" Ursula said.
Ursula then began singing. after awhile of her singing she spoke up, "Have we got a deal?" Ursula said. "If I become human, I'll never be with my father or sisters again"
Ariel said. "Yeah" I said. "But you'll have your man, heh heh. Life's full of tough choices, isn't it? Heh heh. Oh, and there is one more thing. We haven't discussed the subject of
payment" Ursula said. "But I don't have-" Ariel started but was cut off. "I'm not asking much, just a token really, a trifle! What I want from you girls is your voice" Ursula said.
"But without our voice, how can we-" I started but Ursula cut me off again. "You'll have your looks, your pretty face. And don't underestimate the importance of body language, ha!" Ursula said. I was a bit scared now. is it worth giving up my voice to become human again,
and see the Prince and the princess again? As Ursula was singing I was debating on if I should give up my voice or not. the only good thing about giving up my voice is I wouldn't have to see King Triton again, I am pissed at him for offending me and my kind.
I was thinking of getting revenge on King Triton too but I don't know if that is necessary right now. "It won't cost much Just your girl's voices! You poor unfortunate soul It's sad but true If you want to cross the bridge, my sweets You've got the pay the toll Take a gulp and take a breath
And go ahead and sign the scroll Flotsam, Jetsam, now I've got them, boys The boss is on a roll These poor unfortunate souls" Ursula sang. she held up two golden pieces of,
papers and two pens appeared. Ariel and I grabbed the pens and we closed our eyes as we signed our names on the papers. Ursula smirked as she grabbed the papers,
from us. I hope I don't regret this. "Now sing" Ursula said. Waves of water were surrounding us and Ariel and I began singing. "Keep singing!" Ursula shouted. we kept singing until we could sing no more.
we have lost our voice.
