You know every reality almost always starts developing a god complex, my character is around the phase 2~3 in the GOC scale, while not at the God Child stage he starts viewing himself as more than human.

William eventually found a jeweller who was willing to give him a decent price for the raw uncut diamond.

While the jeweller did ask him a few questions as to where get got them, to which he paused seemingly thinking about it before saying with a smile "it's a secret"

Naturally William isn't going just give a large sac fill with diamonds and be done with it, that would be too suspicious. So instead he'll do multiple small dealing once every few weeks.

After the first deal William is quite pleased with the results as it won't take long before he could buy his own luxury condo at a better part of the city.

Suffice to say as soon a get got one the money one of the first things he does is get better clothing as his current clothing while very common but it's still the same clothing as the traveller he had killed earlier, so now that he has a lot of cash to spare might as well remove the only incriminating evidence left that's left on his body.

Not to mention the changshan does not really suit his taste.

So the first stop he went to a luxurious clothing store to get a some new clothes.

Once he enters the store he immediately draws the attention he of a female store attendant, after all it's not every day you meet someone with golden hair..

"Wellcome, how may I help you" she said

To which William replies "I want something like that" pointing to a particular set of clothing that's visually looks western or what the locals calls a formal wear on display.

"Well sure" she says as eyes his body type making a general estimation of his size before going to a rack and pulling out a set of matching clothing to that on display.

William then picks up the set of clothing and went to a changing room to try them out.

After trying out for a bit William still felt a little dissatisfied as there's a few places that he he dislikes.

So once he's out William pointed it out pieces and parts of the set he dislikes and asked the female attendant if there there's any something that matches his taste.

A few hours later William leaves the clothing store quite satisfied wearing what seems to resemble some sort 19th century nobleman, with the carvat , long coat and knee high boots (Not a big fan of knee-breeches).

He also bought a few similar sets of clothing, after all he can't wear the same clothes every day now can he?

Now he can go out without looking like he'll enter some martial arts tournament.

'As a high breed reality bender he's only natural to dresses as like an aristocrat as he's far from the normal feeble mortals around' William thought his narcissistic side getting the better of him at this moment.

He looks at the mirror and smirks 'you can call me Lord William von Goldman' he thought inflating his ego to a hight never seen before.

Saying the saying goes the clothes makes the man and so does it inflate his ego.

The next place he visited is a high class restaurant to celebrate his hard work of finding someone that can his diamonds to cash.

Unfortunately as he got to a table and flips open a the menus, his hands froze as he stares at the incomprehensible Chinese letters that filled the whole menu.

William's eye twitch as it would be quite embarrassing to to leave now after getting a table especially at particularly high class restaurant, especially if his reason is that he can't read the menu and most especially after inflating his ego to high heavens just a few minutes ago.

So he calls a waitress over

"Sir can I take your order?" She asked

To William plays it off going " ah yes.. I'm a bit unfamiliar with the menu, does this restaurant has any particular specialty?"

"Well, sir we have..." she goes on to list a few unfamiliar dishes.

To which William inquired each one of them before picking up the ones that sounds delicious, with that done William happily eat his meal.

The next few days William continues exploring the city gatherings information.

He has made many startling discoveries in the process one of which is that a large portion of the people in this world are born with the innate anomalous ability to bend one for the 4 elements that consists of Water, Fire , Earth and Air.

And there's one anomalous being called the Avatar that can bend all 4 elements granting the Avatar incredible powers that can freely call for wind and rain as one pleases.

The according to the people around the Avatar seems to be a god like being that can defeat an entire nation as a child, fortunately such a god like being died a few decades prior to William's arrival.

The bad news is that the Avatar seems to be an immortal capable of reincarnation, with people claiming the Avatar existing since time immemorial.

So William needs to thread carefully as he has no idea if the Avatar has been reborn yet.
