Chapter Four: The Princess of GreenHilltopia
It has been an hour and a half since Sonic has arrived at the forge where Tails works. He was introduced to both of them, which lucky for Sonic they both believed his story. After explaining to the both of them the possibility of getting home, they decided to make him a full set of armour, and some weapons. Knuckles even insisted on teaching Sonic how to fight. After half an hour of training, they were done training.
"I got to say, you are a quick learner, Sonic." Knuckles chuckled in surprise.
"Well, glad to learn from the best. That's how I created you anyway. And would it surprise you that I never fought with a sword in my life?" Sonic laughs.
"Could easily have fooled us, Sonic." Tails laughs also.
"But before we leave, there's one more person we are waiting on to join this adventure." Knuckles mentioned.
"Who is that, Knuckles?" Sonic wondered.
"Princess Amelia." Knuckles replied.
"The princess?!" Tails exclaimed in shock.
"What good is she to us in this adventure?" Sonic wondered.
"Well, you created her, didn't you? Shouldn't you know?" Knuckles asked.
"Well, I did create her, but I just recently just finished her not long before I was teleported here. As for her powers, I never really thought about that, because I didn't know how she'd be used in the game yet." Sonic explained.
"Well, lucky for you, this world, whether you created this or not, has already thought of something for you." Knuckles smiled.
"Well, where exactly is she?" Sonic wondered.
Suddenly, the door opened, and a mysterious figure walked in. Everyone turned to face the door, and Sonic was stunned by what he saw. It was a female pink hedgehog, with jade green eyes, peach arms, and snout, her quills were long and flowing, she wore a sky blue headband with a gold buckle on the left side of her head, long white gloves with gold rings on both wrists, and a long dress with a mix of white, sky blue and cobalt blue.
"There's your answer." Tails mentioned.
"Princess Amy!" Sonic thought.
"Yep, that's her, Sonic." Knuckles told him.
"Sorry I took so long, fellas. And, oh, we have a visitor." Amy smiled.
Sonic shook off from his trance, and he bows to Amy.
"Pleasure to meet you, Your Highness. My name is Sonic." Sonic introduced.
"Pleasure is all mine, Sonic. Princess Amelia, is my name, but you may call me Amy." she stated.
"Beautiful, isn't she, Sonic?" Tails whispered to him.
"Yep." Sonic quietly replied.
"So, Amelia, you ready for this adventure?" Knuckles asked.
"But wait, I still don't understand this. Why would we risk putting the princess in harms way? What will she really benefit us in this adventure?" Sonic wondered.
"Well, I am a trained and a skilled fighter, and not to mention I am also magic." Amy smiled.
"Magic? In what way?" Sonic wondered.
"Well, for example, you need to tie that boot on better." Amy mentioned.
And suddenly, she waved her hand towards Sonic's boots, and the laces magically untied themselves, and began to tie themselves up neatly. Sonic was stunned at what he had just witnessed here.
"Incredible!" Sonic exclaimed.
"That's nothing, but thank you. My magic is capable of a lot more than that. But we'll save that until later. If it ever comes to it, that is." Amy smiled.
"We'll be ready in just a moment, Your Highness. Just finishing these weapons, then we shall be good to go." Tails explained.
"Alright. Well I'll wait for you outside until you're ready." Amy smiled.
After that, she opened the door, and walked outside and waited for the three to be ready. Sonic on the other hand stood there in surprise. He never have expected his creation would be so powerful as she was, even though he never decided a roll for her in the game.
"She's a sorcerer?" Sonic wondered.
"To that extent, yes." Tails smiled.
"But how is that even possible? When I created her, she was just a princess, I never made her have any kind of use." Sonic thought to himself.
"Like I said, this world decided for you, as she had no use when you created her. I'm not sure why, or what the reason is for them to select this power for her, but from what I see, when you say you were magically brought here by magic from your world, this world decided her power for you, to help you win this battle." Knuckles explained.
"Well, I guess that kind of makes sense. Although, she was made by me improvising by my head. Like, I never found inspiration to even create her. I just knew this board game had to have a princess in this, so I made her as beautiful as I could. As for powers and uses in the game, that never really crossed my mind, all I focussed on was her details." Sonic mentioned.
"Well, improvising is all well and good, Sonic. And regardless of the reason how she got those powers now, it's more than enough for what we need to defeat Black Doom, and hopefully find a path for you to get home." Tails explained to him.
"I sure hope you're right, Tails." Sonic hoped.
"Anyway, Tails, are the weapons ready yet?" Knuckles asked.
"Right here, Knuckles. Just finished them. Swords, shields, and a bow with more than enough arrows for a few good shots." Tails stated.
"Excellent. Now it should be all well and good to start, and possibly finish this adventure." Knuckles stated with confidence.
"Right, without further delay, let's go!" Tails exclaimed with determination.
"I'm ready." Sonic finished.
Then after that, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles all placed their weapons on. Swords on the side, shields on their left arm, and their bow and arrows on their back.
"Weapons are really light." Sonic thought.
"That's how I create these weapons. Don't want them too heavy, otherwise it's too much weight to carry, and it affects your speed, and you don't want them too light, otherwise they don't do damage at all. So it's an even balance, not too heavy, not too light." Tails explained.
"Right, perhaps we should get going now?" Knuckles asked.
"On our way, Knuckles." Tails told him.
"Right behind you." Sonic added.
After that, they all opened the door, and made their way outside the forge. Tails then locked the forge up to make sure nobody enters it, and tries to steal anything. Amy was outside waiting.
"What took you men so long?" Amy teased with a giggle.
"Sorry, Your Highness. It was a lot of weapons to build." Tails mentioned.
"Right, it's adventure time!" Knuckles exclaimed, raising his sword in the air.
"All for one, and one for all!" Tails added.
"Let the game begin!" Amy added.
After that, they all left to start their adventure. Sonic couldn't help but smile as he looked at Amy.
"Wow, she looks a lot more beautiful than I imagined. Who'd ever though my creation could look the way she does?" Sonic thought.
And with that, the big adventure begins.
