Wynonna crept in the darkness of the train yard just like she had done everyday since finding her sisters unconscious body. Dolls had vanished. Black Badge could have had him killed for all Wynonna knew, she was worried but not as worried as she was about trying to save her sister and Nicole, whom they had only discovered in the same state due to the fact that she didn't show for her shift the next day and Sheriff Nedley had gone over to her apartment to check on her as it wasn't like her not to turn up or call in sick or not call at all. Rounding the edge of a abandoned train car she gave herself a pep talk "you got this, you've got peacemaker, you've got booze, you got this" taking a deep breath she stepped forward into the light. Suddenly the room changed she was in the homestead, Waverly was cooking she felt warm and happy, she felt a shock in her hand and she was back in the train yard a revenants fist impacted her jaw "fuck" she fell backwards, quickly she regained her stance blocking the next blow This was starting to get old, she needed a new tactic. It had been weeks since Waverly had driven over to Nicoles and declared her feelings and nothing could have been better, everything seemed to drop right in place. Nicole was able to put some leave in at the station and Gus had been more than happy to let her have time off from the bar, life was great and things had become more adventurous in the bedroom so to Waverly everything was perfect. Wynonna had obviously tried all known means of trying to wake her sister, she had ploughed her face with pillows, she had thrown cold water on her by the bucket full, she had used an air horn and in a desperate attempt she even had given her a wet willy, all to no avail which was why after nearly a week of being asleep Waverly and Nicole were in the hospital having fluids to keep them alive. the doctors were baffled there was no reason medically why the pair shouldn't be awake. The man froze at the sound and slowly turned towards the noise with his hands raised " you must be Wynonna im... " he was cut off " you're in my office and you don't have doughnuts... rude!" she kept her gun raised and walked toward the man, he looked young roughly around Waverlys age, he was wearing a t shirt with a dragon motif on and House Targaryen written below it " im Agent Chetri" he said calmly " Agent Dolls sent me to help with research" Wynonna holstered peacemaker, "and where is Agent Dolls. Agent Che-tri ?" "Jeremy. please call me Jeremy" He interjected "Agent Dolls got called in by head office." Wynonna laughed " by called in you mean taken in with a bag on his head am I right?" Jeremy just looked at Wynonna sort of like a deer caught in headlights she continued "So Jeremy what do you know and how can you help?" Wynonna didn't trust him but right now she needed all the help she could get to find out how to save her sister... and Nicole of course. Jeremy slapped a big old book down on the table "this book has everything you need to know about the No One..." "Great let's just skip to the part where we kill it sending its evil ass back to hell then we can all be home for tacos!" she started to turn to the end pages of the book but a hand closed the book before she could fully open it. She was about to get pissy until she looked up and directly into Jeremys eyes " trust me" he said "you're going to want to read all of this especially if you want to save your sister and Officer Haught" Wynonna tried to look for any deception in the man's eyes but found none oddly enough she felt almost at ease. She shook her head and refocused on the plan ... which was to read old dusty books ...great! Jeremy gave a weak smile then nodded to a bag on the chair " do you seriously think Dolls would send me in without back up" Wynonna opened the bag to see sprinkled doughnuts "okay you can stay."

The gates opened and she was ushered towards Bobos trailer, she was left to stand awkwardly outside looking around she did the only thing she could think of she knocked, "anyone home?" a low groan came for the inside of the trailer, a muffled "enter" came from the inside and Wynonna opened the door and walked in. Wynonna wished she had waited outside because what she had seen she could not un see she had walked in on Bobo getting head from a brunette in fish net stockings a red mini skirt and a fur coat not dissimilar to the one Bobo usual wore himself. He once again offered and she declined she didn't trust Bobo as far as she could throw him. "To What do I owe this unpleasant visit, have you reconsidered my deal ?" Wynonna nodded but held up her hand " I have a few stipulations.. she was cut off "big words for an Earp" she continued "its simple i get rid of your problem and you give me 5 months of peace. However I'm gonna need one of your guys as a distraction." Bobo swallowed his drink back in one " so let me get this straight YOU want ME to help you AND give you more time?" Wynonna nodded "yup" she popped the p on the end. Bobo snapped his jaw together making his teeth click "im not giving you any of my men but I do know someone you can use as a distraction." Wynonna nodded "good have him meet me at shorty's tonight." Wynonna stepped out of the trailer and headed back to her truck "now all I need is an actual plan!" she said to the truck as she grabbed the door and climbed in.
Waverly & Nicoles P.O.V
Nicole was nervous, she hadn't been this nervous since high school when she had asked Shae to the dance and this was something waaay bigger. This was a hopefully one time thing and she was in fact shitting a brick! Everything was set, over the next 3 days her plan would come together and end in a question "that" question. They were going to the coast for the next 3 days and Nicole had some activities planned for the both of them obviously there would be time for relaxing but she wanted, no needed to do this, she had never felt more sure about anything in her life and she knew this was the best way to execute it.
Nicoles truck was packed they were leaving at 4am to make the 11 hour long drive, of course Nicole hadn't told Waverly any of this she had said they were going on a road trip and that Waverly should pack for hiking and relaxing, Nicole hoped the weather held it had been strangely warm for early September, if not she had packed enough bonus blankets to keep them warm over the next few days. Everything was set.
Wynonna had a couple of hours to kill before she went to meet this distraction guy, she wondered back into the bbd office to find Jeremy had fallen asleep on the book he had been reading, Wynonna picked up the book she had been reading earlier and dropped it on the table next to Jeremys head, he jumped almost falling off the chair he was sat in "hard at it i see!" Wynonna snarked. Jeremy had the decency to look embarrassed but quickly regained his composure when he remembered what he had read "The Potion!" he exclaimed "the potion the potion!" He repeated as he picked his way through the books strewn across the table finally finding the one he wanted "ah ha! This one, this is the one, it says in here that there is a potion that will help weaken the no one long enough for you to get a message through to Waverly and give your sister a fighting chance from her side and hopefully she can help Nicole too." Wynonna looked at the book " it says the potion can only be made by a witch! Soooo unless you got one stashed away somewhere its a bust." She looked at Jeremy his expression spoke volumes " NO...NO WAY really!? Witches are real?" I don't know why I'm acting so surprised I mean i literally kill demons with a magic gun!" she drew peacemaker as if to emphasise her point "so where can we find Sabrina, oo do I have to evoke her in a mirror then throw water on her to send her back?!" Jeremy laughed " no nothing that strange . Ill get on to finding our witch and how we can persuade them to help us with the potion." Wynonna nodded and said "right i need to go see a bar about a distraction" she headed back out of the doors and left Jeremy to do his thing.
Looking at the time Wynonna decided she could go via the hospital to check on her sister before meeting her distraction guy. She wondered into Waverly and Nicoles room hoping to see them both awake and well but she knew there wasn't any hope of that until she killed the no one or at least used the potion to give Waverly a chance to fight from within. The heart monitor on her sisters side was beeping away steadily and her sister seemed peaceful and Wynonna could have sworn she saw a smile cross her face " well babygirl at least you seem to be safe and by the looks of it happy, but know this I will get you out, I will kill this bastard and free you and Haughtstuff." She kissed her sisters head and walked around to Nicoles bedside, as she approached the monitor Nicole was hooked up to increased its pace and Nicole seemed to start to breathe heavily. Wynonna shook Nicole "Nicole" she shouted and for a second Nicoles eyes opened "HAUGHTSTUFF WAKE UP !!" but just as quick as Nicole had opened them her eyes closed again and she became still her heart rate dropping to match that of her sleeping companion. Wynonna left the room with even more determination than before and headed to meet her distraction guy with the renewed hope that this potion would work and that she could do this.
Waverly and Nicole P.O.V
They had spent the majority of their journey singing to music and chatting about what they were going to be doing this weekend, this involved Waverly trying to guess where they were going and what Nicole had planned. Nicole had had great pleasure in teasing Waverly saying she was just driving her out to nowhere and dropping her off and leaving. Waverly had pouted and Nicole had apologised saying she would never do that to her. They had stopped a couple of times to get food and have bathroom breaks but finally they pulled up in front of the most beautiful looking hotel Waverly had ever seen, they checked in and were shown to their suite.
When the bell hop opened the door to the suite, Waverly couldn't believe how big the place was, she squeaked and ran to the King size bed throwing herself into the soft bedding. Nicole thanked and tipped the bell hop closing the door after him she walked over to where Waverly was burrowing into the bed, "I guess you like the room uh?" Nicole laughed. Waverly rolled over to look at Nicole she couldn't believe Nicole had managed to plan all this without letting on but she was so excited for what the weekend held she smiled pulling Nicole down on to the bed with her.
They spent the first day of their break in the room making love, ordering room service and watching Tv, on the second day they went for a hike and had a meal in the evening. Everything was perfect. Nicole could not have planned it any better. Tomorrow was the big day the day she asked Waverly to be her wife .
They pulled up in the airfield parking lot and Waverly looked a little confused at first then realisation hit, she was going to be doing something that scared her, but doing it with Nicole made it seem a lot less scary, she was about to say something but Nicole beat her to it " I know this is something that you wanted to do so i thought maybe if you did it with me it wouldn't be so scary." Nicoles nerves took over she started jabbering "we could cancel it if you don't want to oh god this was a stupid idea what was i thinking" a finger landed on her lips to silence her, Nicole looked at Waverly her finger still on her lip Waverly reassured her " I love it! I cant believe you would do this for me this is amazing thank you so much."
Nicoles palms were sweating, her pulse was racing she was literally about to have a panic attack. "What if she says no" she thought to herself "what if i drop the ring" she was brought out of her panic by soft hands taking hers "Nicole are you okay?" Waverlys voice was soft and concerned over the hum of the planes engine, Nicole nodded luckily they were 15,000 feet in the air and her panic could be covered by the fact that they were about to jump out of a plane. The pilots voice came over the intercom "we are green light go go go." The instructor nodded towards Nicole she was jumping first and solo Waverly was doing a tandem jump with the instructor. Nicole stepped towards the open door and looked out she was about to jump towards her future, she would land first and then wait for Waverly to land and pop the question, it sounded simple in her head but she was nervous as hell , she turned and smiled at Waverly "ill see you on the ground" and with that she jumped.
Nicoles heart was pounding the air rushed by her, the earth growing nearer with every foot Nicole fell. Everything was peaceful almost calm. Suddenly through the calm "NICOLE" a voice clear as day as if there was someone shouting in her ear Nicole looked around realising it wasn't possible and that her mind must be playing tricks on her. She looked at her altimeter she was getting close to needing to pull her chute, " HAUGHTSTUFF WAKE UP" Nicole jerked loosing her flow she spun, in the confusion she could have sworn she saw a room just as quick as she saw it it was gone, Nicoles training kicked in she steadied her descent and pulled her chute, everything was peaceful once more as she drifted towards her target, her mind racing about what had just happened, could she have passed out? she shook that thought off it has to be the nerves that was it, it was the nerves she told herself unconvincingly but she would address that later right now she was about to ask the most important question she would ever ask in her life. Landing she quickly unhooked from her chute and looked towards the sky where she could see Waverly floating down like an angel towards her. Nicole quickly unzipped her pocket and recovered the leather box that held the ring from within. She started walking towards where Waverly was being unhooked from the instructor. Waverlys smile was so big it warmed Nicoles heart, she came bouncing towards Nicole as soon as she was free "oh my god Nicole that was amazing I've never felt so free can we go again? holy shitballs woooowoo" Nicole laughed Waverly was buzzing with adrenaline, this was it, this was her moment Nicole took Waverlys hand and got down on one knee, Waverly instantly stopped bouncing and looked down at Nicole confused "You okay?" she asked. Nicole started "Waverly Earp you once told me that i was the thing that scared you most, but the truth is that you scare me too , i have never fallen so fast or so hard and i have never loved anyone the that i love you. I truly believe that we can face our fears and conquer them together so Waverly Earp will you run to the edge of the cliff with me and fly into our future as my wife?"
Waverly couldn't believe this was happening, how did she get so lucky Nicole the woman of her dreams was down on one knee asking her to her wife! Nicole had finished proposal and Waverly realised that she hadn't said anything and that Nicole was starting to look worried, suddenly she answered "yes yes of course yes" she pulled Nicole up from her kneeling position and captured her lips in a searing kiss. And then everything went black.

Hey sorry it took so long for the update. my life's been crazy busy with work and my wife and I are going through the adoption process so it's been a lot. That and I also had writers block for a while ... I apologise for any mistakes I am by no means a grammatical wizz lol
