I don't own Arknights nor Worm
AN: There isn't going to be any major fight scenes in this chapter, also an insignificant spoiler: Svaha's weapon will be the Dragonslayer spear from Dark Souls 1.
21 years later
In Lungmen city the sun rose at 6:30 am and in one apartment the sunlight went through it's windows and into the bedroom of it's inhabitant .
Inside the bedroom a 26 year old Draco female with neck-length grey hair was sleeping contently until the alarm clock along with the sunrays broke her off of her sleep, and tiredly opened her grey eyes.
"Damn this blasted alarm clock." She thought to herself, as she pressed the button to shut down the alarm, and started the routine she had been doing for the last 5 years since she and her sister joined L.G.D.
She got up from bed took a shower, brushed her teeth, get dressed, and walk down the apartment and get picked up by Ch'en or Hoshi and go to work. And after work try to find any sort of information regarding Svaha's wherabouts.
"Hey Talulah, how are you doing?" Asked Hoshiguma as she saw Ch'en's sister walked out of the apartment dressed in her L.G.D uniform, which consisted of a pair of boots, a white shirt, a loose jacket with the L.G.D emblem on the chest.
"I'm doing rather fine Hoshi, but lets just skip the pleasantries and let's go to work and not let Ch'en waiting, you know how she get's when we aren't on time. But first let's go and grab some coffee, you know I barely function without it." Talulah said as she hopped into the car.
"Fine, but let's be quick about it we don't keep the boss lady waiting." Said Hoshiguma as she entered the driver's seat, and so they went on their way.
Lungmen Guard Department HQ
"Where are they?" Were the thought's of Special Inspection Unit Chief Ch'en Hui-chieh as she was sitting in her office impatiently waiting for her sister and Hoshiguma to arrive, but so far, they had to show up.
"I swear if they don't come any sooner I will cut their salary in half for the remainder of the year." Ch'en thought to herself as she finally heard the door of her office open.
"You are late." Ch'en said as she turned around to she Talulah and Hoshiguma with three cups of coffee.
"And don't think just a simple cup of coffee will save you for having you salary cut for the remaining year." Ch'en said as she pointed at the cups of coffee.
"Who said about bribing, little sister. Soo, is there anything that we need filling in?" Asked Talaula as she took a seat with Hoshiguma right beside her.
"Yes, we are having a problem regarding the Mafia that needs taking care off, as they have begun selling highly dangerous weapons, that have been suspected to have been stolen from Ursus military forces." Ch'en informed the duo which caused them to look at her with surprise.
"Who in their right mind would think of raiding a Ursus military depot?" Hoshiguma asked Ch'en as she believed that some gangsters couldn't just simply have busted in and successfully raid a heavily guarded military depot.
"We have no idea and that's what we are going to find out. If these weapons have been purchased by someone, they could be used to arm the infected in the slums, and we don't want that to happen as anarchy would soon follow." Ch'en informed her sister and Hoshiguma, as the atmosphere in the office became somewhat tense.
Everyone in the L.G.D knew that the situation between the infected and the non-infected was... tense for the lack of better words, and if the Mafia had been selling weapons stolen from an Ursus military depot and selling them, only god knows what happen after that.
"The selling of the stolen weapons has been going on for a month, and if it continues any further we might be have a civil war on our hands." Ch'en said with concern lacing her tone
"What are the objectives?" Talulah asked her sister, wanting to end this quickly before there'd be any steam for the civil war to start, and hopefully avoid it along with the casualties that'd follow.
"The Chief Executive said that he want the Mafia members responsible for selling the weapons are hiding in a warehouse in the Slums outskirts and her ordered that they have to be captured alive and interrogated for any information regarding, where they have managed to get those weapons." Ch'en informed the both of them.
"Will we be getting any form of support?" Asked Hoshiguma, wondering if they would get any help.
"Yes the Chief Executive had requested the assistance of the Rat King for this operation as the latter wishes to maintain the current status quo, with him saying and I quote "wouldn't like any upstart to break the peace so I am lending you some help on dealing with the Mafia." Those were the Rat King's words." Ch'en told her teammates.
"I see..." Talulah said, the last time she heard of the Rat King of the Lungmen Slums was 16 years ago when Kashchey took her sister with him.
"Let's get going, time is off the essence and if we wait an longer the situation will go out of hands." Ch'en said as she got on her feet as she began to walk out of her office, followed by Hoshiguma and Talulah with a single thought in their minds.
"Who was supplying the Mafia with the weapons."
Storehouse in the Slums Outskirts
"Well we are here." Said Hoshiguma as she stopped the car at the outskirts of the Slums.
"What makes you think that the Mafia members selling the weapons will be hiding in some storehouse in the Outskirts of the slums?" Asked Talulah, as she began to wonder who would hide and sell weapons in such an obvious place.
"Well... the Rat King's Greytails are here so... They might have figured that the Mobsters are selling the stolen weapons, and that's why they are here." Hoshiguma said as she noticed them inside a car.
"Let's get this over with and find out who, has been giving the mafia the weapons for them to sell." Ch'en said as she, Hoshiguma and Talulah got out of the car, which the Rat King's Greytails followed suit.
"Greeting L.G.D, seems that we'll be supporting each-other this time." Said the leader of the group.
"Let's skip the pleasantries and go to the point." Said Ch'en.
"Alright then, we have intel that the Mafia has been selling weapons in this warehouse..." The Greytail couldn't finish his sentence, as he was shot dead by gunfire which came from the warehouse to their left.
"Crap!" Cursed Ch'en as she and Talulah ducked for cover behind the car while Hoshiguma used her shield to block the bullets.
"Do you guys have any ideas?!" Asked Hoshiguma.
"Get in!" Yelled Talulah as she took the initiative and entered the car along with Ch'en and Hoshiguma, turned it on and drove it straight into the building's entrance, where a 15 mobsters were inside and fired at the car.
"Crap this is worse than we thought!" Shouted Hoshiguma, as she saw the heavily armed state of the mobsters inside.
While this little stunt may have put a giant bullseye on the L.G.D Operatives this gave the remainder of the 3 Graytails a chance to sneak in and take care of some of the Mobster, which they knocked down and picked up their weapons and made a non-lethal shot at the mobsters inside.
With the gun fire quiet Talulah, Ch'en and Hoshiguma got out of the car and walked towards one of the Mobsters.
"Alright, let's get to business I want to know where did you get these weapons, and don't play with me as I find it highly unlikely that some mobsters got inside and successfully raided a military Depot full of firearms." Ch'en said in a threatening tone as she held the Lupo by his coats, the latter merely sneared at Ch'en.
"Got to hell you L.G.D Bitch." Said the mafia member as he spat a Ch'en.
Ch'en for her part was getting impatient with this guy, and she needed to know where did they get the weapons they are selling, so she wiped the spit off of her face and pointed at Talulah who was holding a rifle.
"You see my sister over there? She is a Draco and can make use of some extremely powerful fire art, now we don't want you to suddenly combust." Ch'en said as the rifle in Talulah's hands turned to a hot orange and she dropped it into the floor where it began to melt, which scared the mobster a bit.
"Alright fine! I'll talk!" The Mobster said in a scared tone as he didn't want to end up like the, now, melted rifle on the ground.
"See it wasn't that hard, I won't ask again, where did you get these weapons?" Ch'en asked the Mobsters.
"Honestly I don't know I am merely a grunt that follows orders, but all that I know is that some guy named Revenant payed us to sell these weapons, That's all I know I swear!" The Mobster said, which earned him a punch to the face.
"So what, now?" Asked Talulah, as she looked at her sister.
"Now we find out who this Revenant guy is." Ch'en said as Talulah turned to the Greytails.
"I'm really sorry for the death of your friend, if there is anyway we can make it up to you just ask." Talulah told them which they shook their head.
"There's nothing you need to worry miss Artorias, we knew what we were getting ourselves in, besides that our business here is finished and the Rat King would wish to know what transpired here." the Greytail said as he and his coworkers went back to report to the Rat King.
"Alright, guys HQ is sending a truck to grab these guys, and it will be here in a few minutes. Other than that, do you want to go for snack later on? My treat." Hoshiguma said as she told her team members.
"Thanks for the Info." Talulah as she entered a thinking posture.
"What is it sis?" Ch'en asked Talula.
"You don't think Kashchey's men are involved in the weapons trade that's has occurred?" Talulah asked wondering if the "Phantoms" have been involved.
"Sis, you should know by now that they haven't been hear of ever since the Old Snake was killed, and were probably sent to some mining camp for the failure of protecting him." Ch'en said as she dismissed Talulah's idea.
"You are right in that regard but you can't dismiss that Svaha has seemingly disappeared from the face of the map, and with the Reunion movement having turned violent not 5 years ago, they've got to have been involved in this in some shape or form." Talulah said as she recalled hearing the news of Reunion movement having turned violent, as they targeted military depots, and prison camps.
The precision and skill just showed that the group must have gained some sort of Military training, to hit those targets with relatively light casualties. And there was the new spokesperson of the group calling herself Morningstar, who seemed to be dead set to start a war between those that were and weren't infected with Oripathy.
"Don't worry sis, we will get to the bottom of this one way or another." Ch'en said as she placed a hand on her older sister's shoulders.
Chernobog around the same time
A Sarkaz Male was walking towards a female Draco who was holding a cross spear in her hand and was dressed in form fitting pants, black military boots, a black coat with an orange armband with the Emblem of the Reunion group, a simple black shirt and a full-face Balaclava.
She was overlooking the city center where the infected had began to protest and riot against the rulers of Chernobog, and Chernobog's city guards were called in to contain the riot.
"Ma'am everything's ready." Said the man.
And hearing this the woman smiled behind her mask.
"Give the signal to begin." She said while the man simply nodded, and fired a flare into the sky in order to give the signal to begin the Uprising.
