4. I hope I had made it clear but I see there's some confusion. Naruto no longer has access to his chakra. That's why he couldn't jump from staircase to staircase or make Shadow clones when he was falling.

Just like everyday for the past month Naruto woke up bright and early inside the Gryffindor dormitory. In no time at all thanks to his daily exploration of the castle he had been able to quickly make his way down to the Entrance Hall, through the front doors, and out onto the grounds. He started off by running a few laps around the Black lake. Every now and then he'd wave at the giant octopus that live inside the lake whenever it would come up to the surface. Once he had finished with his laps he would then set off to go ran through a few sets of sit-ups, push-ups, and pull-ups under the shade of a peach tree that was near the lake. Naruto had just finished practicing the last of the taijutsu stands he had learned from his time in the Ninja academy. When the sound of nearing footsteps caused him to stop.
"Uzumaki there you are, what are you doing out here." It was a Professor McGonagall who had a look of concern on her face.
"Morning Professor McGonagall, I'm just training." Naruto told her with a bright smile but this did not seem to ease whatever had been bothering the older woman.
"Training, for what ever for Mr. Uzumaki you are a Hogwarts student now not a. . . " McGonagall started to said then she took a moment to consider the blondes words. "The headmaster wishes to speak with you in his office at once, you better get back to Gryffindor Tower and get yourself cleaned up."
"Alright then." Naruto said as he started to make his way back towards the castle for a quick shower. In no time at all he was dressed and standing outside of the Headmasters office.
"Hey old man, McGonagall said you wanted to see me." Naruto greeted cheerfully after he had walked right into the office and spotted Dumbledore behind his desk.
"Your in high spirits this morning Naruto." Dumbledore said with a bright smile as he gestured for Naruto to take a seat in front of his desk. "Yes I'd like to have a word with you."
"So what did you want to talk about." Naruto asked once he had taken a seat.
"Their is something very important I wish to discuss with you. As you know today is the start of the new school year. As such starting tonight you will no longer be the only student inside Gryffindor Tower. As such I believe it is time we decide upon what you will be telling your fellow housemates." Dumbledore said as he adjusted his glasses.
"Wait can't I just tell them the truth?" Naruto asked wondering why he had to come up with a fake background.
"I know this might not be easy for you Naruto, but this is just something to help you fit in with less difficulties, once you feel you can trust those around you then you may share you secret." Dumbledore said in the kind of voice that reminded Naruto of the old man Hokage.
"Alright I understand." Naruto said with a begrudging nod of the head. "So what should I tell everyone."
"It's simple really, when asked simply say you woke up out side the castle and have no recollection of anything past that day." Dumbledore said with a little smile.
"Wait that's it? that'll be easy to remember." Naruto said glad it was simply enough because It was mostly true. He ended up staying in the office for a few minutes more talking with the old Headmaster before finally heading down to the Great Hall for breakfast. For the rest of the day Naruto just anxiously wondered around the castle and grounds. It was all the blonde could do as he waited for the rest of the students to arrive. Throughout the day Naruto got a chance to meet the rest of the Hogwarts staff members. There was Professor Flitwick, the Charms teacher, was a tiny little wizard who had to stand on a pile of books to see over his desk. Professor Sprout a squat little witch who wore a patched hat over her flyaway hair. The astronomy teacher Professor Sinistra a serious and strict woman who wore olive robes and a pointed hat spangled with astrological signs. Professor Vector another strict teacher who taught ancient runes she wore red robes with a matching pointed hat.
Finally it was time for him to head down to the Great Hall for the start of term feast. Naruto had just made it on to the first floor landing When he was stopped.
"Uzumaki good I was just on my way to get you, come with me." It was Professor McGonagall who was quickly making her way down the corridor.
"What's up Professor?" Naruto asked as he walked over to her.
"I need you to come with me Uzumaki there is someone I'd like you to meet." McGonagall said and just giving a shrug of his shoulders Naruto followed.
"So who do you want me to meet!" Naruto asked as he walked along side his head of house.
"Although I am pleased with your progress this past month now that we will be starting the new term I feel that a tutor will do you some good." By now they had already reached the top of the marble staircase in the Entrance Hall. From cross Naruto saw that the double doors were open and a sea of students were already making their way into the Great Hall.
! Potter! Granger! I want to see you both!" McGonagall had called out over the crowd.
Naruto saw two students turn around a look of surprised on their faces. The first was a spotted boy in glasses with very messy black hair. The other was a girl with long bushy brown hair they both had on Gryffindor robes.
"There's no need to look so worried, I just want a word in my office," McGonagall told them. "Move along there, Weasley." Looking at who she was talking to. Naruto saw a tall, lanky, freckle faced boy with flaming red hair stair as Professor McGonagall ushered them away from the chattering crowd.
They accompanied her across the entrance hall, up the marble staircase, and along a corridor. As all three Gryffindors followed their head of house Naruto got a better look at the other two teens. They both looked to be around his age. The boy was a few inches taller then he was and very skinny for his age and had bright green eyes. Naruto could see on his forehead clearly visible through his hair was a thin scar shaped like a bolt of lightning. As for the girl Naruto and her were the same height. She had large front teeth and chocolate colored eyes. Naruto thought they were a very pretty color.
All the while Harry and Hermione were looking over at blonde teen wondering who he was. They had never seen him before tonight. Once they had reached McGonagall's office they all stepped inside. The office was a small room with a large, welcoming fire. Professor McGonagall motioned for the three of them to take a seat. Once she had settled herself behind her desk she spoke abruptly.
"Professor Lupin sent an owl ahead to say that you were taken ill on the train, Potter." Looking over Naruto saw that Potter was the boy. At McGonagall's comment he looked ready to say something when there was a soft knock at the door and Madam Pomfrey, the school nurse, came bustling in.
"I'm fine." The Potter boy said "I don't need anything."
"Oh, it's you is it." said Madam Pomfrey, ignoring what the Potter boy was saying. "I suppose you've been doing something dangerous again." Meanwhile as Potter and Madam Pomfrey argued, Naruto looked over at the at girl.
"Hi I'm Naruto Uzumaki." said Naruto give a bright smile as he introduced himself the the girl as Professor McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey focused on the Potter boy.
"Oh hello, my I'm Hermione Granger its very nice to meet you." said Hermione as she felt a slight warming in her cheeks at the way the blonde had been looking at her. Never had she ever seen eyes so blue or whiskers on anyone before.
"So are you and your friend third year students too?" asked Naruto happily but his attention as drawn to the boy when he loudly called out
'I'm not delicate!" Harry said loudly
"What's wrong with your friend?" Naruto asked Hermione as he looked over and watched as Madam Pomfrey started to take his pulse.
"The train was search by dementors and he had been affected by them." Hermione said as the thought of the Azkaban guards caused her to shut her a little.
"Right." Naruto said nodding his head in agreement. " What's a dementor?" he then asked her wondering what she was talking about.
"Oh, well you see dementors are creatures that guard the wizard prison Azkaban." Hermione said politely.
"Are dementors allows searching the train?" Naruto asked curiously seeing as he was already in the castle he never road on the train like the rest of the students. Before Hermione could asked anymore questions now that she realized he was never on the train.
"Very well Potter kindly wait outside while I have a word with Miss. Granger and Mr. Uzumaki about their course schedule then we can go down to the feast together." Professor McGonagall waited till he was out of the room and back in the corridor before addressing the two teens in front of her.
"On to the first order of business, Miss Granger this is Naruto Uzumaki he has just been enrolled to Hogwarts and do to certain circumstance he will be starting with the third-years. I am telling you this because the headmaster has asked me to find a capable student to help tutor Mr. Uzumaki and I couldn't think of anyone who I would trust to do this than you Miss Granger." Professor McGonagall said with a faint hint of pride in her voice. Hermione was left momentarily speechless and to Naruto it looked like she was trying to hold back some tears.
"Yes, Professor McGonagall I would be more than willing to help tutor Naruto." Hermione said excitedly at the thought of being chosen to personally oversee someone's education.
"Thanks Hermione for agreeing with helping I promise I won't let you down."Naruto said is he flashed her a big toothy grin. Once again Hermione could feel there cheeks beginning to worm a bit.
"Excellent Miss Granger the headmaster will be glad to know you are willing to help bring Naruto along." said McGonagall breathing a sigh of relief.
"Very good now that has been token care of, Mr. Uzumaki if you would join Mr. Potter outside while I have a few words with Miss. Granger." Said Professor McGonagall
"Yeah no problem." Naruto told McGonagall as he headed out of the office to go wait outside in the corridor with Potter.
"Hi, I'm Naruto Uzumaki." Naruto said introducing himself to the spectacle boywho was waiting in the corridor.
"Harry, Harry Potter." The now identified Potter said and they both shook hands. that was when Naruto did something Harry had not expected. Instead of blue eyes traveling up to take a look at his scar instead Naruto never broke eye contact.
"Wait are the Harry Potter, Hagrid's been telling me some pretty cool stuff about you. Did you really stop Voldemort in your first year." Harry had to pause for a second to think about what he had just heard. Not only had Naruto say the name of the dark lord he knew Hagrid.
"Yeah, but I had help from my friends Ron and Hermione." Harry quickly explained.
"Sounds like you showed that bastard." Naruto said as he rested his hands behind his head. Before Harry could respond Hermione emerged looking very pleased with herself about something closely followed by Professor McGonagall. The four of them made there way back down to the marble staircase and then the Great Hall. It was a sea of pointed black hats each of the long House tables was lined with students, their faces glimmering by the light of thousands of candles, which were floating over the tables in midair. Professor Flitwick was carrying an ancient hat and a three-legged stool out of the hall.
"Oh." said Hermione softly "We missed the Sorting." New students at Hogwarts were sorted into Houses by trying on the Sorting Hat which shouted out the House they were best suited to Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin. Professor McGonagall strode off toward her empty seat at the staff table.
"Let's go find some seats you two." Hermione said quickly they set off in the other direction as quietly as possible towards the Gryffindor table. People looked around at them as they passed along the back of the hall, and a few of them pointed at Harry while many more we're looking at Naruto.
"Hi I'm Naruto Uzumaki." Naruto introduced after they had sat down on either side of the redhead boy Naruto saw earlier.
"Ron Weasley." Said just then the headmaster stood up to speak Naruto watched him beaming around at the students.
"Welcome!" said Dumbledore the candlelight shimmering on his beard "Welcome to another year at Hogwarts I have a few things to say to you all and as one of them is very serious I think it best to get it out of the way before you become befuddled by our excellent feast. Dumbledore cleared his throat and continued
"As you will all be aware after their search of the Hogwarts Express our school is presently playing host to some of the dementors of Azkaban who are here on Ministry of Magic business" He paused "They are stationed at every entrance to the grounds. While they are with us, I must make it plain that nobody is to leave school without permission Dementors are not to be fooled by tricks or disguises or even Invisibility Cloaks It is not in the nature of a dementor to understand pleading or excuses I therefore warn each and every one of you to give them no reason to harm you."
Naruto was beginning to wonder what kind of creatures these dementor things were. Looking around the Great Hall he saw many people share grim looks. Whatever the dementors were Harry didn't seem to be the only one affected by them.
"On a happier note." Dumbledore continued saying "I am pleased to welcome two new teachers and a transfer student to our ranks. Mr. Naruto Uzumaki will be starting along with the third years so please make him feel welcomed to Hogwarts castle." At Dumbledore's introduction the Great Hall all turned to look towards the Gryffindor table. With all eyes on him in the Great Hall, Naruto gave a large bright smile and a friendly wave. loving the attention he was getting from many pretty girls. Who we're talking amongst themselves as they pointed at his whiskers and then broke out into little fits of giggles.
"Next is Professor Lupin who has kindly consented to fill the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher." There was some scattered rather unenthusiastic applause, but all the same Naruto clapped.
"On to our final new appointment." Dumbledore continued as the luke warm applause for Professor Lupin died away. "Well I am sorry to tell you that Professor Kettleburn our Care of Magical Creatures teacher retired at the end of last year in order to enjoy more time with his remaining limbs. However I am delighted to say that his place will be filled by none other than Rubeus Hagrid who has agreed to take on this teaching job in addition to his gamekeeping duties."
This time Naruto clapped very loudly and let out a wolf-whistle in the month he had gotten to know the giant very well. Naruto leaned forward to see Hagrid who was ruby-red in the face and staring down at his enormous hands his wide grin hidden in the tangle of his black beard. Once the Headmaster was finished speaking the golden plates and goblets before them filled suddenly with food and drink. Naruto helped himself to everything he could reach and began to eat along with the rest of the Gryffindors around him. The hall echoed with the sounds of talking, students laughter, and the clatter of knives and forks.
"So Naruto, Professor McGonagall told me that you were able to get most of first and second spell's." Hermione said as she started to eat her kidney pie.
"Almost I wasn't able to do any Herbology, Astronomy and History of magic." Naruto said as he stopped eating his chicken. "But old man Dumbledore, Snape, and McGonagall were able to help me get caught up on Charms, Potions, Transfiguration, and Defense Against the Dark Arts."
"bloody hell you got private lessons from Dumbledore?" Asked Ron through a mouth full of food.
"Ronald that's disgusting." Hermione berated. "And you shouldn't call the headmaster that Naruto."although many of the Gryffindors who were sitting close enough to hear Naruto call Albus Dumbledore old man we're holding back snickers.
"Oh, don't worry he lets me." Naruto simply said but Hermione still didn't look pleased.
"So where did you used to go to school before you transferred to Hogwarts?" Harry asked never once hearing of a transfer student at Hogwarts. However if it was anything like muggle school it could most likely be the Naruto's family I just moved to wizarding England.
"Well you see up last month I woke up inside the hospital wing with no idea how I got there. I can't really remember how I showed up in the school and everything else from my past is in bits and pieces." Naruto said in a casual off hand sort of way one would have thought he was commenting on the weather. " But after I got done healing he offered me a place in the school." Naruto's answer had solicited various reactions from the students around him.
"Wicked." said Ron and Seamus Finnigan.
"Oh, Naruto that's so awful you can't remember anything." Hermione said she clapped her handle her mouth.
"What about you guys or are you from wizard families?" Naruto asked remembering how McGonagall told him that Hogwarts students were made up of some pure bloods, half bloods, and muggleborns. Naruto found out that Ron and another one of his dormitory means Neville longbottom were from pure blood wizarding families. Seamus, Harry and Dean Thomas were half-bloods while Hermione was a muggleborn.
"Are those tattoos on your face." Neville asked wondering what the marks on the blonde cheeks were. and it seemed like he wasn't the only one wondering something along the same line. Because all around them people seem to be leaning in to hear what Naruto would say.
"These aren't tattoos they're whiskers I've had them since the day I was born." Naruto said as he pulled on his cheek. A few of the girls began to swoon over the fact that Naruto had whiskers like a cat. and this was how Naruto carried on for the rest of the feast answering questions from his new housemates and asking his own in return.
At long last when the last morsels of food had vanished from the golden plates Dumbledore gave the word that it was time for them all to go to bed. following Harry, Ron, and Hermione they walked towards Hagrid.
"congratulations, Hagrid!" Hermione squealed as they reached the teachers table. They stayed there for a few moments each one of them congratulating Hagrid until they were sued away by Professor McGonagall.
the four of them joined the Gryffindors streaming up the marble staircase and very tired now a long more corridors of more and more stairs to the hidden entrance to Gryffindor Tower. The portrait of The fat lady asked them password.
"Coming through, coming through!" it was Percy Weasley one of Ron's older brothers who was trying to make his way through the crowd. "the new passwords Fortuna Major!"
Through the portrait home and across the common room the girls and boys divided towards their separate staircases. Naruto climb the spiral stair with no thought in his head except how glad he was the term had finally started. Once they reach the dormitory all the boys changed into their pajamas before climbed into their four poster beds to get some sleep.
