Weeks later,
Starlight Mansion
"Here's where you'll stay" Jerrica showed the redhead teen one of the bedrooms
"Thanks" she replied and set her bag and acoustic guitar on the ground
"How are you doing?" Jerrica was genuinely concerned
"Better. The rehab is helping" she smiled
"That's great, Laura" Jerrica gave her a quick hug
"Mind if we interrupt this heart-warming moment?" Kimber poked her head in the door
"Not at all" Jerrica smiled at the joke
"We're going shopping; did you want to come with us?" Kimber asked her sister
"I'd love to" she nodded, "but I've got a ton of paperwork to catch up on" Jerrica turned to Laura, "Would you like to go with them?"
"No" Laura shook her head, "I just want to get settled in, but thanks"
"Alright" Jerrica understood her reticence. It had been almost a year since Laura had been living in Starlight Mansion, she still remembered all the headache and heartache she had caused with her drug addiction. She was still undergoing rehab and made her weekly appointments by bus or a trusted ride.
Misfits Music
"Disgusting" Pizzazz thumbed through a rock and roll magazine
"Hideous" Roxy glanced over her shoulder
"Tasteless" Stormer plucked the magazine from Pizzazz's hands
"Hey!" Pizzazz shouted, "Give it back here, now"
"In a minute" Stormer flipped back to an article on Jem's latest hit single. She glanced a photo of Jem's songwriter, Kimber Benton
"Still miss your little friend?" Jetta cackled and snatched the magazine away from Stormer
"No" Stormer protested. The Misfits just laughed at her
"Ladies" Eric Raymond entered the room. Techrat followed him, "I've got a little surprise for you"
"Diamonds?" Pizzazz looked eagerly
"Furs?" Roxy smiled
"Countries?" Jetta rubbed her palms together
"What is it, Eric?" Stormer asked earnestly
"Show them Techrat" Eric snapped his fingers
Techrat held a device that resembled a portable telephone. He jabbed at a few buttons. Moments later, Aja, Shana, Raya and Kimber entered the room
"What are they doing here?" Pizzazz growled
"They" Eric grinned evilly, "Are going to help us find out just exactly who Jem is" he glanced at Techrat, "Show them"
Techrat pressed a button on the remote. The four women deftly removed their faces to reveal wires and flashing lights
"Why have one when you can have four" Techrat smiled momentarily, and then left his face deadpan again
"Put your face back on and get to work" Pizzazz snapped at one of the Robograms
Sherman Oaks Galleria
"That top looks great on you" Aja grinned at Shana
"Thanks" she nodded, "but this price doesn't look great on my wallet"
"That's ok" Kimber beamed, "It still goes great with those jeans"
"Shana is right" Raya agreed, "maybe we should try a different shop for something more reasonably priced"
"Oh Raya" Kimber shook her head, "looking never costs us anything"
"True" Shana grinned. The four women glanced at their reflections in the full length mirror
"That's funny" Raya frowned
"What happened?" Aja looked at her
"My reflection blinked" she replied
"So what?" Kimber shrugged
"I didn't" Raya concluded
Just then, the "mirror images" reached out, grabbed the four women, and yanked them through the "mirror", just four doorways to extra fitting rooms.

"I still don't see what's so great about this idea" Pizzazz scoffed
"Think about it" Eric rubbed his palms together, "If Riot learns that Jem is a fake, he'll lose interest in her"
"Oh, really?" she seemed intrigued
"If he loses interest in her, he'll be more interested in you" Eric knew just how to entice Pizzazz
"I could've told you that!" she snapped at him, "In fact, I know exactly how to get little miss pink hair out of our way once and for all" she grinned evilly
