This is set after winter. The school holidays are almost done so my updating will take longer. Thank you to everyone who had read this story. I hope you liked it.
Two blurred figures stood outside the room, whispering to each other. Ziva lifted a hand to her face and murmured something in Hebrew. Jenny walked into the room, sitting on the edge of the bed and planting a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"Fever," she told Gibbs, who went over and touched Ziva's cheek. He looked at the girl lying on the bed, the girl who reminded him so much of Kelly, with that same angelic face. He so badly wanted his daughter again. Abby, the bubbly goth forensic scientist was like his daughter. Ziva, who had come to NCIS a few months ago, had also taken the place in his heat, 'daughter'. But he knew Kelly was irreplaceable and so was Ziva and Abby. They were all his daughters, special and ipunique in their own way.
Ziva shifted and began muttering darkly in another language. Jenny took Ziva's hand in hers and ran her fingers through her curly dark brown hair. Ziva settled slightly and turned onto her side, facing Gibbs. He raised an eyebrow and inched closer.
"Nightmare?" Gibbs asked Jenny, his voice quiet so he wouldn't wake the sleeping ninja lying between them. She nodded and when Ziva finally settled, the two parent figures rose and left the room.
"Goodnight, Ziver," Gibbs said softly.
"Goodnight, Zi,"
They sat on the couch downstairs, facing each other with an awkward silence in the air around them. Jenny cleared her throat and look down.
"I know you were thinking about Kelly and Abby and Ziva," she muttered. Gibbs went to protest but the redhead raised a hand, glowering.
"They are irreplaceable. You lost Kelly, but you can't use Abby and Ziva to fill that space in your heart. They are not replacements. They are not the daughter you lost. Jethro, you can't use them to replace her," she told him softly. He smiled sadly at her.
"I know, Jen," he replied sadly and she nodded. There were no words to say. Jenny snuggled up next to him and placed her head on his shoulder. She closed her eyes and exhaled softly. For the first time in a long time, no harsh words were exchanged. She just laid her head on his shoulder and they sat there in silence.
"Goodnight, Jethro."
"Goodnight, Jenny."
Is it cringe? I thought i might've overloaded on the feels and oooh loveee. Please review I really want to know what you think of my story. Bye!
