Miss Queen B: Hey Wonderful Readers, I hope everyone is doing well. Man, wasn't Godzilla VS Kong fucking amazing! I laughed, I cried, I was yelling at the T.V. during the fights and my little girl now has nightmares about MechaGodzilla destroying our town. Yikes. All in all, it was great. The only flaw I saw that they didn't bring back a lot of the Titians from KOTM and I mean that really bummed me out. It's like oh come on, you can't just build up all these new titans and boom, they don't get a second introduction. Hm. Anyway notes:...(Seriously, why the hell didn't they bring back Mothra)...
Note One: Thank you so much for all the reviews and debates. Everything from Eating stars, to all the new titans in the Graphic Novel to this new ship with Goji and Na Kika? I'm not sure about all that, I'm still waiting for my copy in the mail before I can voice my opinion. Anyway, I love, love, LOVE the reviews and I'm keeping my fingers cross that this will reach the 1000th mark again along with "Redrum" and "Deep Blue Sea" I love you all so much for all the surport and feedback.
Note Two: Sorry for the long wait, really, really trying my hardest to type at a steady pace, but with work and life keeping me busy it's hard to sit down for an hour to myself. Not to mention, I am working on this story and "Midnight Black" at the same time. "Midnight Black" has my head spinning because I'm trying to make sure the last chapter is just right and spicy. That's the Chef part of me I swear, when I think the food is great, I still think it could use a little extra heat. hehehe. Anyway, I thank you all for your patience.
Note Three: So about this chapter: While the King is off the dream land, we get to see a little adventue in the Prince's Point of View when he meets a certain Funny Bird again. The Bird once again makes a very risky move despite Behemoth's warning. While that is going on, the King visit his Queen in his dreams and remembers the day he first met Anguirus. Enjoy.

For a Reason
Thanks for showing up.~

He must've been tired because the last thing he remembered was listening to his Si-ie telling him and the "Chatty Box" a story which was a rare thing to see in his young eyes. Normally, Mama would be the one who told the stories while Si-ie watches them from a far distance. It was different seeing his Si-ie tell a wild tale, his face was still firm and serious, his eyes were closed as if he was trying to picture the tale he was describing and could actually sense his Si-ie slight anger and annoyance. Chatty Box in the meantime was really paying attention to his Si-ie while looking down at him every few minutes to check on his well-being. He also noticed Chatty Box would look up at the sky with a concern look as well. But anyway, his Si-ie was talking about his final good-bye to the female that raised him when he felt his eyes closing for much needed sleep. He didn't think he would fall asleep so fast, especially right on top of Chatty Box's tusks, but like Si-ie and Mama, he could sense things and his senses told him he could trust the older kaiju.
His dream was suddenly interrupted when he felt Chatty Box shifting a bit followed by something warm covering his little body. He tried to move, but the heavy thing on top of him had a nice firm hold on him. Something landed hard next to Chatty Box causing the ground to shake a bit. His bright eyes snapped opened only to see that Chatty Box was covering him with his giant paw. His senses started to act up, making his head hurt, but he tried to stay calm so he wouldn't disturbed his Si-ie. From the humming sound he was getting from his Si-ie, he was in a deep slumber and the last thing he wanted was to wake him up. Mama would always joke about Si-ie being extra cranky when disturbed from a nap. The story of the parasites known as Mutos came into mind and their awful fates because they woke up Si-ie at the wrong time. He snapped out of his thoughts when he saw a orange glow seeping through Chatty Box's nails and couldn't help, but peek through them.
What the hell am I seeing? A voice rang out.
Chatty Box shifted while holding him tighter. Keep your voice down. Last thing we want is for you to wake up the little Prince.
Focusing, he could see another kaiju standing close to Chatty Box with a rather annoying look on his face. The smell of ash and smoke made his nose scrunched up, but for some reason it smelled rather familiar. He couldn't see much, just a giant glowing wing that suddenly flashed Chatty Box with a burst of flames.
The hatchling is here too?!
He tried to stay quiet, but smoke flew inside Chatty Box's protective shield and he let out a tiny sneeze. He could feel Chatty Box stiffening from the tiny outburst and lifted his paw away from him. A very warm breeze hit his face as he blinked a few times to get the sleep out of his eyes and to clear up his vision.
Now look what you've done, you woke him up. Chatty Box said.
His eyes trailed up the massive, glowing wings with long sharp claws, surpassed the narrow neck and large sharp beak and stopped when he saw a pair of yellow, glowing eyes staring back at him. A small little smile crept on his face, he remembered this kaiju even though he only saw him once when he was a few days old, he remembered him alright. The Funny Bird came to see him that one time and did some sort of fire trick with colorful plants in front of him and Mama. He thought it was funny because the Funny Bird looked...well...funny. He was bruised and wounded and just looked utmost defeated. Then he turned the plants he had in his claws into dust and he couldn't help, but laugh a little. It must've been really funny because Mama started to laugh as well.
Behemoth, can we focus on the main picture here. Funny Bird said while pointing out at the ocean.
His blue eyes shifted over to the shallow part of the ocean and could see his Si-ie curled up in a tight coil with his body halfway underwater. The only thing he could see was his back and plates slightly glowing from his deep slumber. Once in a while he would see bubbles floating to the top of the water due to his Si-ie's gentle breathing.
What in the world is going on here? Funny Bird asked.
Chatty Box sighed, Again, will you keep it down. Do you want to wake up the King? I'm surprised to see you home this late?
Why? I live here too. Is this what you do when I'm out, invite the Brute over for some sleepover? Funny Bird said, crossing his wings.
What did I say about your smart mouth?
Not to use it towards Scylla and from where I'm standing, I don't see her here.
Of course not, that's why I sent you out to present her with a gift?
Well, I'm sorry to say that was a bust. She wasn't home and I checked all the other places she would be and she wasn't there either. Funny Bird shrugged.
Getting bored with the two males conversation, he slipped off of Chatty Box's arms and slowly headed over to the water so he could alert his Si-ie that they had new company till he was blocked by a giant paw.
Easy there, little Prince. Don't be alert or scared, Rodan will not harm you...Chatty Box said then suddenly looked up at Funny Bird with that same firmness his Si-ie would portray to prove a point….Right, Rodan?
Funny Bird lifted his claws up in defense, Hey, I made the little Brat laugh the last time I saw him, why would I want to ruin that knowing that is keeping me on the Queen's good side.
He let out a small whine and gave Chatty Box a look. (You know I can visit him in his dream, right?) He thought while pointing at Si-ie.
If you're worried about your Sire, he will be alright. Last thing we want is to wake him up from his slumber. Chatty Box said, with a nervous smile.
Chatty Box has a point. One thing Mama always told him that Si-ie can be a bit scary if disturbed hence why most of the time she was the one up all night with him unless he needed a meal. Unsure, he took another look at Si-ie before sitting down in the soft, cold mud.
Chatty Box let out a small whew and turned his attention back to Funny Bird. So Scylla wasn't home then my best guess she is probably with the Queen.
That still doesn't answer my question why the Brute is here with the Brat. Funny Bird said.
He blinked and really needed to ask his Mama what exactly does Brat mean since he heard his Si-ie, Squid and now Funny Bird call him that..
Well, Our King came over to introduce the Prince to me and I have to say he actually stayed all day to talk. I mean, we really talked, in fact today was probably the first time so many conversations were exchanged between us. Did you know when he was young he was forced to leave his Pack for being different and for killing one of his own kind…..
Funny Bird's wings started to spew black smoke and he could actually sense some irritation coming from the bird. Enough! Holy fu-
Language, Rodan
-It sounds like you two are hitting it off. So what now, are you two Best Friends or something?
I'm flattered by your jealousy, Rodan, but if our King shows up for a visit, I can't turn him away. Not to mention, the little Prince here wanted to hear some stories as well.
I am not jealous, I'm just trying to put the pieces together on why he's here in the first place.
Chatty Box stared at him. Right….Anyway, like I said, our conversation ran a little long and our Prince fell asleep. Our King wanted to leave, but from one Sire to another, I can tell he needed to catch up on some sleep so I told him he can stay for the night to rest.
Do you ever question yourself that perhaps you're a little too nice to visitors. Funny Bird said with a pouty face.
Oh Rodan, you can't hide that jealousy, I see the same look you give to my Dear whenever she's around.
While the two were arguing, he decided to crawl over to Funny Bird, intrigued how his wings could make smoke and fiery embers off and on like that. It was like Mama's wings except hers would glow and shift from one color to another depending on her emotions at the time. The closer he got to Funny Bird's wings the hotter it was getting, but he was compelled to touch them.
That's not jealousy, that's annoyance. Do you not see the "Stink" face she would give me while you talk to her. Funny Bird asked while bringing his giant nail down right on his forehead to block him from touching. Without saying a word, Funny Bird pushed him back towards Chatty Box. While we are on the topic, I don't think I should bring her any more gifts...having me delivered them with little Love Messages is making things weird.
I don't see the weirdness in it since they are from me. Not to mention, you're the only one I trust to make sure they get there intact and the only one that can grab treats from the ocean.
I'm just saying, she and that nasty Bit-
Rodan….
Funny Bird scoffed, She and the nasty parasite thinks me being your little Messenger is hilarious. I don't know how many more jokes and mocking I can take.
But I always show gratitude for doing these little errands. Plus, My Dear has been telling me she thinks what you are doing is nice and that's saying a lot from her. Chatty Box smiled.
Funny Bird slumped only to have his eyes trail down to see him trying to touch his wings again. Hey Brat, can't you see I'm talking here. Funny Bird said, picking him up with the tips of his claws and placing him back with Chatty Box.
Rodan, don't be so rude to the young Prince. We don't want unexpected carnage tonight.
Unexpected carnage? Geez Behemoth, what makes you think I'm going to start something with a hatchling.
I'm just saying, if the Prince feels any distress under my watch, I'm sure the King will take his wrath out on me.
It's not my fault you decided to let him and the Brat stay here for the night.
Well, I really thought you would be gone all night.
I was thinking about it after I deliver your gift, but when I couldn't find Scylla, the treat you wanted me to bring was getting a weird smell so I figured I come back home and tell you that your courting gift didn't make it to her. Kaiju knows she might tell you a different story.
As they were still talking, he once again crawled over to the Funny Bird's wings. A little jealous of them since they were large and glowing with intense colors like Mama. He wondered how they would feel since Mama's wings were soft and silky. He lifted his claw up and slowly moved it towards the bottom part of Funny Bird's wing that was glowing bright with hot embers when he was suddenly grabbed by the tail. With little effort he was lifted up into the air only to be face to face with Funny Bird. His bright yellow eyes stared deeply into his soft glowing blue one.
Rodan, be careful, please. Behemoth said nervously.
Funny Bird snorted causing a small flame to shoot out of his snout. Listen Brat, last thing I want is your Sire to come after me because you got burned by my wings so cut it out.
He gave Funny Bird a smile and pointed at his wings. (You have wings like Mama)
Chatty Box chuckled, I think he finds your wings interesting, Rodan.
Funny Bird raised a brow and stretched out his large wing causing it to glow even brighter than before. I don't blame him, I am a nice site to see. He said, with a smirk.
Chatty Box rolled his eyes. Can you please put him down now, I don't think being upside is good for the young Prince.
(You get used to it) He thought annoyingly. Mama's Squid friend would do it all the time as a way to settle him down.
I'm quite surprised how quickly approachable he is towards you. Perhaps he senses something good in you? Chatty Box questioned with a smile.
Nah, it's just my compelling charm. One of my greatest talents. Funny Bird said smugly while lowering him to the ground. He struggled and let out a small whine which made Funny Bird stop with him still in midair.
Careful, Rodan. You might be hurting his tail.
I am being careful. Funny Bird said and lifted him up to his face once again. What's wrong? Do you like being upside down or something?
He shook his head and pointed at his wings again. (You have wings) He said, though what only came out was a small whine. He forgot only Si-ie and Mama can hear him talk through their connection. Funny Bird looked at his wings for a second as if trying to figure what in the world he was trying to imply. Funny Bird was much bigger than Mama and from the looks of it can carry a lot so-
All three stopped dead in their tracks when Si-ie started to shift in his sleep. He picked his head out of the water, but his eyes were still shut and in a deep sleep before falling over on his side. A large tidal wave headed over to them, splashing Funny Bird's wings out and causing Chatty Box to inhale sharply. Si-ie grumbled before letting his head sink back underwater.
When they realized it was safe to move again. Funny Bird exhale. Tell me again why you have them here? He asked sarcastically.
Oh, leave him alone. He's just out taking time to bond with the young Prince, that's all.
He let out a squeal. (Chatty Box is right. Just me and my Si-ie.) though he was missing Mama a bit. It was weird, he was with her every single day of his young life so the separation threw him off a bit. He can tell it was making his Si-ie a bit antsy as well.
-in fact now that I think about it, since he's out and about with the Prince no doubt, My Dear is keeping the Queen company.
He was nearly dropped when Funny Bird flinched from Chatty Box's words. Out and about?
Yeah, Our King is taking the Prince around to meet the other kaijus. I'm guessing it's more of a male bonding thing since the Queen was left behind and since you couldn't find Scylla, she might be over there.
Funny Bird tapped his beak with his claw, completely forgetting he was still holding him by the tail. So...since I know where Scylla is, I should go over there and hand over her gift then...
Don't even think about it, Rodan.
Oh come on, I know where the island is? I've been there so many times before. It won't take me long to find another whale then fly over there. Funny Bird smirked.
(I want to fly too) He whined again. If Funny Bird is going to fly, he wanted to be up there in the sky as well.
See even the Prince is telling you it's a bad idea.
He's a hatchling, he doesn't know anything. Funny Bird said, putting him down in the water.
(No, don't put me down. If you are going flying, I want to fly too!) He grumbled while sitting there in the water.
Chatty Box sighed, Rodan, you're not going over there in the middle of the night and bother my Dear or the Queen. Now either go to your nest and sleep or find another place to rest for the night.
I'm not tired so I might as well just fly over there and say hello. I'm sure Scylla would be happy to see me and the gift you got for her.
How about you head over to Methuselah's Turf instead, I'm sure you can wake him up and chit chat.
I flew by there before coming home. He's...um…"Busy."
Busy doing what? If he's awake this late at night-
The Nasty little Parasite is over there, I didn't exactly see what they were doing, but I heard them and it sounded like they were busy. Funny Bird said, shuddering in disgust.
….Oh, I see. Chatty Box said, slumping a little.
Yeah, and there's no way I'm staying here so I'll be off.
Rodan, I'm not stupid, I know where you're going to sneak off to so perhaps it's better I keep an eye out on you. Besides I don't think Scylla is going to like it if you show up knowing the Queen is with her.
Funny Bird's eyes darted at Chatty Box, Really, it's like that, Behemoth. Don't you trust me?
Chatty Box stared at him and all went quiet which was getting a little weird for his tiny mind so he cleared his throat in order to get the two males attention. They both looked down at him which made him smile and let out a small whine. Standing up as tall as he can, the way his Si-ie would do to show who's in charge here, he pointed at Funny Bird again. Funny Bird scratched his head, Why are you pointing at me?
I'm telling you, Rodan, I think he likes you. Chatty Box said smiling.
He huffed and impatiently pointed at Funny Bird's wings again then pointed at the night sky above them, hoping Funny Bird would get the hint. He can't be that stupid like his Si-ie would growl about when he thought Mama wasn't paying attention. (I want to fly) He said, and suddenly wished he could say some words in order for them to get what he was trying to say.
Do you think he's hungry? Funny Bird asked, a little annoying.
Now why do you think pointing at you means he's hungry? Chatty Box asked, with a smirk.
Do you know how many times the Brute threatened to eat me back in our younger days. It probably got passed down. Rodan said, moodily.
Oh Rodan, enough, don't speak bad about the King in front of the little one.
He let out another whine, this time louder and aggressively pointed at the sky again. (Please get what I'm trying to say.)
Chatty Box looked up at the sky as well then smiled. I think he noticed that you are a Flyer just like the Queen is. Perhaps he is curious about it since his mother is a Flyer as well.
Funny Bird stared down at him then chuckled. Well, I would be curious too since you didn't get any of your Lovely Mother's features. I mean I can't say much about the ocean, but there's nothing better or more free than the endless sky. The thrill of knowing you can look down at everyone and they have no choice to see you as a higher superior. He said, while holding his head up high with his chest puffed out.
He could understand somewhat what Funny Bird was saying. Granted he did love the ocean, but it was hard to enjoy like his Si-ie did. He didn't have glowing plates yet so it was hard for him to see the dark depths of the water. There were still creatures in there that were bigger than him so he couldn't venture out alone. Not to mention, his Si-ie told him there were Sea Kaijus down there that were very territorial and could cause trouble if not careful. Some that still don't see his Si-ie as the rightful King. On the other hand, the sky was nice, he could see everything when Mama would take him up there. He would look down to see Squid or Si-ie following them to make sure nothing bad would happen to him, the sparkling light the sun would reflect on the surface of the water and how tiny the little islands would look. He would beg his Mama to go higher, so he could see what it feels like to touch the white puffy things known as clouds or even the stars, but Mama was too overly protective. He was too much of a "Wiggler" as she would put it and it was hard for her to hold on to him without fearing he might drop. Oh, how he loved being way up there, the sky was endless like Funny Bird said, perhaps even bigger and wider than the ocean.
He sighed from the memory and sadness of not seeing the sky like Mama could. He flinched when Funny Bird spoke.
Hey, what's with the sad face all of a sudden?
(I miss the sky) He said, while pointing up at the sky again, literally wagging his tail to see if the bird could understand.
He keeps pointing at the sky, but I don't see anything up there, but stars. Chatty Box said.
Finally something looked like it clicked in Funny Bird's head because the bird smirked. You want to see the sky, is that it?
He nodded very quickly and pointed at his wings.
Funny Bird smirk grew bigger. Oh I see, you want me to take you flying? Can't blame you, really. The sky is better than the ocean in my opinion.
Giddy, he walked over to Funny Bird with his little arms out only to be tug back by Chatty Boxy. He looked back to see the Sloth shaking his head, Rodan, no.
What's the big deal? Do you know how many times I took his mother flying?
Exactly, do you want our King to wake up to see the Prince gone? What he might do when he realizes you were the the who took him? Chatty Box said, calmly.
Fat-ass is a deep sleeper, trust me, it's not that hard to do mischief things when he's asleep. Funny Bird said slyly and made him question what he meant by that. Beside, it won't take long and I'll be careful.
No. Chatty Box said, firmly and he couldn't help, but snicker a bit. They fight the way Si-ie and Mama do, he thought while slowly crawling away from the Sloth.
Behemoth, don't be so rude after all, you can't turn down a request from the Future King, right? Funny Bird said and quickly snatched him by the loose skin on the back of his neck. He was suddenly tossed high into the air, nearly letting out a high pitch screech only to be caught by large, warm talons. He inhaled when he realized he was floating high above Chatty Box who had this panic stricken look on his face. His eyes shifted from left to right to see giant wings flapping while little flicks of embers and dark smoke appeared all around him. He quickly looked down over to his Si-ie who was still sleeping and still in deep dream mode at the moment. He won't be waking up any time soon.
Rodan, get down here. This is very unsafe. Behemoth harshly whispered while getting up from the ground.
Relax, we'll be fine.
No, no, don't do this. It will be my Behind, the King will go after if anything happens to him now get down he-
Funny Bird flew higher without taking his eyes off of Chatty Box. That's not helping your case, my friend.
Rodan…
He started to get nervous when Chatty Box started to follow them to the point he lifted himself up till he was standing on his hind legs. Chatty Box then lifted his arms up in an attempt to grab him from the bird's talons. He looked up at Funny Bird who chuckled. Sorry Behemoth, I am faster than you. Now keep it down, you don't want to wake up Fat-Ass.
No, Rodan, listen to me-
In a split second, he was shot up high into the sky, feeling the force of the heated wind hitting his body so hard, he lost his ability to breath for a few seconds. The smell of dirt and water was soon replaced with the scent of cool air and a tiny hint of smoke. The talons around him gave him a slight squeeze and he looked up to see Funny Bird looking down at him with a smug look.
I'm surprised you're not frightened, Brat. Funny Bird said.
He blinked a few times before looking around in curiosity. A smile slowly spread across his face when he realized he was so high up that his Si-ie and Chatty Box were just two tiny dots and he could see so much land that there were patches of lights all over the place. He has never seen so much land behind, mama would make sure to keep him around the water and out of danger. Everything around him was so...amazing.
(Wow) He thought.
He was tossed into the air again only to be caught with both sets of talons. Sorry Brat, I just want to make sure I have a good grip on you. If you drop now, you're going to hit the water like a flying rock. That kind of fall can hurt for the next couple of days or worse. Funny Bird said.
He can recall Mama telling him about a certain Monster lifting Si-ie up into the air and dropping him….that long drop nearly demolished an entire city and broke his Si-ie's back. There was more to the story, but Mama told him it was best if Si-ie told him about it. Too gruesome for her to tell in great detail.
(Can you go higher) He asked while pointing up.
You want to go higher? Funny Bird asked which he nodded.
Funny Bird shrugged and flew even higher into the sky. They went through a layer of thick clouds, the smell of rain filled his nose as his claws reached out as far as they can go and tried to touch the fluffy looking things. Funny Bird exited the top and did a quick spin before floating in the air. The giant talons grip him tighter which made him whine a bit from the firm hold.
(Can we fly that way?) He asked, gesturing his snout in the left direction.
I like your braveness, Brat. I took your lovely mother way up here a few times and that scared the crap out of her. Always complaining I might drop and that I'm a Lousy Flyer. Funny Bird laughed.
A little confused by his words he gave Funny Bird a questionable look. (Huh?)
If you're wondering why, because I used to do this.
Funny Bird folded his wings in and started to fall out of the sky. Down they went like a pile of rocks and he started the laugh from the rush of excitement. He never flew around like this, it was always slow gliding and grace which got a little boring over time, so it was great to feel this whole new experience. The world around him started to spin thanks to Funny Bird twirling, but he didn't close his eyes or show fear. His surroundings started to blend together, the mixture of black and dark blue colors swirled together with white streaks thanks to the stars. Although Funny Bird stopped spinning, they were still plunging towards the water and when he looked they were getting closer and closer to the dark ocean.
(Um, Funny Bird) He thought while the site of the water getting closer and closer by the second. He started to tremble a bit.
Oh no, I guess I forgot how to fly all of a sudden. Funny Bird said, dully.
(Can that really happen?) He asked and started to wiggle in fear as they got closer. (Are we going to crash?) Should he alert his Si-ie in case things go bad?
Funny Bird laughed and unfolded his wings soon enough to regain his control and they glided across the ocean at high speed. Two giant waves parted thanks to the giant bird's wings and they quickly flew up into the air again.
He let out a small "Whew" before looking up at Funny Bird. (That was fun).
The next hour was wonderful, flying around with Funny Bird was definitely better than flying around with Mama. Not that he loves Mama any less, but Funny Bird sure loves taking risks when it comes to more dangerous flying techniques. It didn't even bother him that the longer they were flying the further away he was getting from his Si-ie. Good thing his "Connection" with his Si-ie was strong, even being so far away, he could still feel his Si-ie sleeping and couldn't help, but giggle a bit. His Si-ie felt bubbly, and content and normally he's only like that if Mama was around to keep him calm. Most likely his parents were communicating in their dreams. When that happens that would give him some more breathing room to do whatever he wants.
Funny Bird's stomach started to growl which made his little body vibrant and Funny Bird's laughed nervously. Damn, I spent all day trying to do that little error for Behemoth. I forgot to eat something.
He frowned. He was having fun being in the sky again and he wasn't ready to go back to Si-ie and Chatty Box. He let out a small disappointing whine.
What, are you hungry too? Funny bird asked while flying towards some unknown land that had a giant cliff near the water.
He shrugged, (I'm hungry) He said, though he hoped it wasn't going to be a whale again. He's been craving squid non-stop, but Si-ie didn't want to go way down in the dark part of the ocean and leave him alone.
I'll take that shrugging as a maybe. Funny Bird said, flying over to the cliff. When they were close to the ground, he was dropped not so gently to the floor and looked up to see Funny Bird still flying above him. Worried the firebird was going to abandon him, he turned around and roared at him. Though the roar came out high-pitch and hoarse which made Funny Bird laugh. Wait here, I can't grab food if I'm carrying you, He said, before flying back over the ocean.
He huffed and decided to stretch his little body out. His chest and back throb a bit from Funny Bird's tight grip and no doubt going to be sore tomorrow, but other than that, he felt content. While waiting for Funny Bird's return, he spent his time sharpening his claws, using his senses to figure out the new sounds and smells on this strange land and to make sure there weren't any of these Things called "Humans" around. He hasn't seen them yet, but it must be something Big since he would witness his parents clash over that topic. Si-ie doesn't want him to go anywhere near these humans where Mama thought since he too has "Mind Powers" perhaps he could talk to them like she can. Whatever these Humans are, it sure makes his Si-ie moody and nervous and one of those things that should never bring up. Though for him, anything that consider "Bad" makes him more curious than ever.
A large, dead whale landing next to him, but he didn't flinch or back away. It wouldn't be the first time food was dropped in front of him, but he did scrunch his snout a bit from seeing the dead carcass. Whale again….he hated that type of food. His body bounced when Funny Bird landed next to him with a much larger whale in his break. The bird popped his neck and took the food out of his mouth with his claws. Can you believe it, what luck, I caught this mother and her offspring near the surface. Two bundles of food in one catch.
Funny Bird then took a big bite of the carcass, tearing the nasty thing in half and made blood and guts spray everywhere. He watched the bird curiously as he munched down the meat in his large beak, not even caring that most of it was spilling out and dripping all over his dried lava texture chest. He took another bite, literally hearing the bones crack and crunch when he chews, and let out a loud, delicious hum. Tasty, nothing better after an hour of flying, right? He said looking down at him.
He tilted his head before looking down at his snack in front of him. The little whale was still struggling to breath due to the large puncture hole in it's stomach.
What's a matter? You don't like meat? Funny Bird asked, slightly spraying him with blood.
(I do, but I don't like whales.) He said while shaking his head.
Of course, Funny Bird didn't understand. What is it? Do you want plants and flowers like your Lovely Mother?
His head jerked back and shook his head faster. (Gross.)
Funny Bird laughed, You make that same Gross face like your mother. In fact she would make that face whenever I would eat. He sighed, with a hint of sadness. She would always call me a Messy Eater.
He giggled as well then noticed Funny Bird staring at him with this drifting deep thought look. A sudden bittersweet vibe made his head feel weird and it was coming from Funny Bird. If he could, he could try and read the bird's mind, but in order to do that he would have to connect foreheads. The staring went on and on making Funny Bird's yellow eyes dull and the orange color of his flames to simmer down to ash. It didn't bother him since he was staring back at the bird with a lot of intriguing questions and curiosity as well. While humans were a "Bad" topic to talk about with his parents, the other "Bad" one was sitting right next to him and he didn't know why. It spark his interest when Funny Bird came by when he was only a few days old. Back then, he didn't know what was going on or how his abilities work, but he could sense an uneasy feeling. Mostly coming from Squid and his Si-ie from the mere present of Funny Bird being around him and Mama. As time went on with his senses growing stronger, he was a little confused about his parents having different feelings over the bird. He remembered one time, on a cold night, when he wouldn't sleep, Mama took him out of the cave so they could stare gaze. It was pretty, he loves looking up at the sky and seeing the little creature fly around. Mama would hum a soft melody to him while her wings gently flap to show off her beautiful colors. The wings made him ask about Funny Bird since how could anyone forget those wings of fire and smoke. That actually made Mama flinch a bit, before relaxing back to her calm face. Where is he? Why doesn't he come around like Squid did? Since from the way him and Mama were acting around each other, it seems like he was another one of Mama's friends.
Her emotions were mixed, first there was warmness, admiration and a slight bit of love. The same feelings he would feel her express to Si-ie. He would then feel a sense of grief, guilt, and loss as well. Normally when this happens he would get hit with a large wave of hate, resentment and disdain coming from Si-ie's connection since Si-ie could feel Mama's emotions as well. "He was just curious," Mama would say to Si-ie. Only to hear "I don't care, we're not discussing that topic so drop it," from his Si-ie in a firm and scary voice. End of story. The only thing Mama was able to tell him was that Funny Bird saved her life when she was carrying him in her stomach. He wasn't exactly an easy thing to carry due to her small frame and that day she was flying around the ocean and ended up passing out. She hit the water hard and started to sink and if it wasn't for Funny Bird's quick thinking, they would've died from drowning. That still didn't explain why Si-ie didn't like Funny Bird, but again, it was a "Bad" topic to talk about.
Are you going to eat if not I'll take it then?
He snapped out of his thoughts and shook his head again. The smell of meat and blood was making him hungry so might as well eat since food was right there in front of him. He took a few bites while shifting his sight back and forth between his food and Funny Bird. Funny Bird was still staring at him with a now bittersweet look. Funny Bird reached down and gently wiped some of the blood away from his cheek.
I guess I'm not the only one who is a Messy Eater. Funny Bird chuckled. Did your mother not teach you any matters?
He shrugged. (Yes, but she's not here so…)
How is she doing anyway? Funny Bird asked. I mean the last time I saw her was when she introduced me to you. I took a pounding from that Nasty Parasite a few days before just to make sure I gave her the perfect gift. He ended the sentence with a frown. Why am I even asking? It's not like you can respond or anything. You probably can't even understand me.
At this point he didn't know what to do, but Funny Bird was sad and Mama always told him when someone is feeling down show them an act of kindness. With that he push his portion of food closer to the Flyer. Funny Bird look down and gave him a sad smirk.
If you're trying to cheer me up, it's actually working. He chuckled. You are definitely your Mother's heir. I'm surprised your Sire hasn't influence you enough to hate me like he does.
(Why does Si-ie hate you?) He thought or even a bigger question is: (Why does he hate the fact Mama likes you?)
Funny Bird sighed and looked like he was having a hard time trying to figure out what to say to him. He covered his face with his claws and groaned. Ok, so I overheard Scylla telling Behemoth that she likes to talk to you whenever she's feeling down-
He shrugged, he could remember a few times The Squid would chat with him whenever it was her turn to watch him at night. Si-ie told him that's the drawback of having a mate with friends: They have to share their silly "Female Problems." Did Funny Bird have "Female Problems" too?
Funny Bird took a deep breath and exhale, trying to calm himself down from the anxiety he was sensing in the bird. The bird then chuckled, You look so much like your Sire, but I see a lot of your mother in you as well. Hopefully, you get more of her traits than his. Your Sire wasn't exactly an Approachable Kaiju. Your mother is so Nice, selfless, easy-going and...He sighed dully,...a really good friend.
(Mama has a lot of friends) He said, wagging his tail in the dirt. (Squid and you are probably the main ones she thinks about a lot.) He tilted his head when he heard Funny Bird whispered I miss her to himself before turning his attention back on him.
So can you shoot that blue beam yet? Funny Bird asked.
(Why does Mama get happy and sad at the same time when she thinks about you?) He wondered while scratching his head. Because Funny Bird was showing off the same expressions. He didn't get it, if they were friends like Mama was to Squid, why doesn't Funny Bird come around. That would be great for him since he would be able to fly more since Mama won't do it anymore.
How about that weird pulse thing? I've seen your Sire blast a much larger Monster to dust with that attack. Funny Bird asked, while picking meat between his teeth.
He stared at him with his glowing blue eyes which made Funny Bird raise a brow a bit.
Your mother's eyes would glow like that when she's thinking or doing one of her Mind Power things. Can you read minds like her?
Now he can finally agree on something Funny Bird asked and nodded. (I can read Mama and Si-ie's thoughts)
Well that's good, it shows you're going to be as smart as your mother. At least you got that instead of your Sire's intelligence.
He pointed at Funny Bird's head then pointed at his own forehead. Hoping the bird would understand if he wanted him to read his mind. Mama told him to go easy with his abilities to prevent bad headaches again, but he needed the practice.
Oh no, no, no, I'm not getting into all that "Mind" stuff again, Brat. Plus You don't want to see what's going on in my head.
He sighed. Si-ie was the same way. There were a lot of things blocked from him to see. Memories were a blur and was told he was too young to see.
Besides, what you might see in my head could FRIGHTEN you! Funny Bird said, in a scary voice while hovering over him with his claws up in the air.
He couldn't help, but laugh at Funny Bird's playfulness and roar back at him while showing off his little teeth.
A sly smirk spread across Funny Bird's face. Is that all you got? I'm sure you can roar louder than that.
He stomped his foot and gave Funny Bird a firm look before sucking in all the air he can fit in his lungs and roar even louder. Funny Bird stood up, digging his large talons into the rock floor to steady himself and inhale. He spread out his large, fiery wings as far and wide as he can and let out a high-pitched cry. He nearly flew back from the force and intense heat and for a split second couldn't hear anything. He quickly shook his head and could hear Funny Bird's chuckling.
Now that's how you do a roar. Your turn again. Funny Bird said, folding his wings back in while blowing a flick of embers out of his beak.
He smiled at Funny Bird and could not understand why his Si-ie hates him so much.

Meanwhile….
Damn, it's been so long since he had a night of pure, deep sleep like this. He could always tell when his dreams begin with him floating peacefully in the ocean while staring up at the black, starless sky. He should check up on Azure, from the feelings he was getting from the boy, he's either having a weird, entertaining dream or is awake and bothering the Chatterbox. Yet, Behemoth told him he will watch over Azure while he sleeps and this was a great way to test himself when it comes to trusting his fellow kaijus. After all, his Queen told him if he wants the others to trust him he needed to trust them as well.
He shifted in the water when he thought about his Queen and wondered….
(Mosura….)
He waited, hoping she would be awake, but from the humming sound he was getting from the other side, she was asleep as well. He concentrates harder, trying to see if he couId contact her in her sleep.
(Mosura…)
There was a slight pinch, Mosura's way of fighting off the intruder in her mind when she wanted to sleep. He suddenly felt a warm sensation and their wavelength tightening.
(Good Evening, my King. I'm surprised you contact me. I thought you said you didn't want to be disturbed?) She asked, tiredly.
(Well, I didn't think I would get some free time to actually sleep peacefully plus I was thinking about you.) He said, trying to picture her pretty face. Granted if he wanted to, he could see through her eyes, but there's no point since he couldn't see her unless she goes over to the water to see her reflection.
He could actually feel her antennas perk up. (How did you manage to do that knowing Azure is around?) Pointing out that Azure still won't sleep through the night.
(He tied himself out today. It's taking him a while to get used to all the swimming in the deep ocean, but he's getting the hang of it. Not to mention a visit with the Chatterbox is enough to putn anyone to sleep.)
(Oh, so he saw Behemoth today, that's must've been interesting. How did that go?)
He snorted. (The Boy is too trusting. Already took a liking to the Chatterbox because the old Fool likes to tell him stories)
(Azure is a mere hatchling, my Love, he loves stories. Something perhaps you should try to do with him more often)
He smirked. (Well, thanks to the Squid's Chatty Mate, he convince me to share a tale with the Brat)
(...You actually told a story to Azure and Behemoth? It wasn't short was it, did you actually express yourself?)
(I can be very open if I want, My Queen) He said, a little offended by her assumption.
She giggled. (I know you can, sometimes you just need a little push. Kaiju knows it took me a long time to get you to open up to me. I'm just glad you're opening up to Azure and here you thought it would be hard.)
He couldn't help, but smirk a bit. (Well, he makes it so easy, I guess. When we're talking one on one, it's like I'm talking to you or even Anguirus. He would just stare at me and listen. The Chatterbox was just amazed by him and how well he's turning out. He was actually worried about you and the Brat)
(Sounds like Behemoth. He can't help it, he's like Scylla when it comes to parenting. They surely have more experiences dealing with hatchlings than we do.)
He snorted. (At least he isn't as nosy or judgmental as the Squid)
(Leave Scylla alone, she's only trying to help. She loves Azure just as much as we do.)
(Speaking of the Squid, is she over there keeping you company) He asked, in other words, keeping an eye out on you.
(Yes, as a matter of fact she is. How did you know?) She asked, in amusement.
Because I ordered her to to put my mind at ease. (Just a lucky guess. Normally, she's with you when I'm not around)
(I see, but yeah, she came by this morning and you know "Girl Talk.") She said in a happy tone.
(Wow, I'm so sad that I missed that) He said sarcastically
(I adore your sarcasm, my Love) She hummed.
(Oh yeah, I'm so charming) He said, pretty sure he was smiling in his sleep.
(But seriously, it's so nice to see Scylla so happy. I know it's been hard for her since she woke up in this new world, but Behemoth is sure taking care of that. She's been telling me about all the gifts and love messages she would get from him and how you could learn a thing or two about romance from the Sloth. Not that I agree with her or anything like that. She doesn't know you and I have our own special way of showing affection.)
His head started to get hot due to her getting flustered. He wanted to make a sly remark about that so he did. (I really hope you are talking about our Connection) He chuckled darkly.
(I was, what else would I be implying)
(I don't know, perhaps my "way" of showing affection. The way I take you in the dark where the only things glowing are my plates and your wings) He said. No doubt his tail was wagging while he sleeps.
(My King, you better quit it) She said, sounding embarrassed. (Though, I do miss your gentle touch)
(Gentle? You're not fooling me, my Queen. You would rather have my bites and nails clawing down your back)
(My King….) She said, bashfully.
He smiled in his sleep and was glad his head was underwater so the Chatterbox wouldn't see him snickering or smiling. There was some silence between their links and he could suddenly feel his Queen's slight nervousness.
(Something bothering you, my Queen) He asked.
(Well, I know you're busy taking Azure to different places and I would hate to ruin your bonding time, but I have been sensing another Kaiju waking up from their slumber.)
He nearly woke up from her statement. (What? Another one?) Damn, normally he would feel it too, but with him looking after Azure all the time, he got distracted.
(Yes. the Outpost she's at is actually close by if you want to check up on her)
Wait a minute….(She? You make it sound like you know this Kaiju personally)
(Because...it's Quetz. She finally woke up. When I told Scylla, she got really excited, she can't wait to see her again.) His Queen said, rather nervously.
(...Fuck….) He thought and actually shifted in his sleep to the point, he got up, stretch a bit before settling down on his side.
(My King language.) Mosura said in a sad tone.
(Why do you sound so sad, I thought you would be glad to see her again) He said, though Kaiju knows he's not really happy about it. The Stupid Serpent was just as bad as the Stupid Squid probably even worse, at least the Squid begrudgingly accepted him as Mosura's mate, Quetz, on the other claw, was a different story.
(I am, but I don't know. We haven't spoken since you know….when she first met you.)
He grumbled, (Mosura, that was eons ago, I'm sure that whole situation is long forgotten)
She hummed, (Perhaps you're right, but still, you are closer and this will be a great time for Azure to meet her.)
Oh yeah, that would be a great surprise for the Flying Serpent. Hey Quetz, you remember me? You know the one who "Stole" Mosura away from your weak brother? Well, I'm King now and this is the heir Mosura bare, Prince Azure. (If you don't want to see her, what makes you think I want to)
(Because you are the King and it's your duty to check up on the other kaijus when they awake?)
He groaned bitterly. (You owe me big time, Mosura. I hope you know I'm just going to send her your way, right?)
(Yes, that's if she wants to see me)
(Well, with the Squid, she would. Those two LOVE to talk about me) He said, sarcastically.
She could help, but laugh. (My King, leave them alone. I don't know why it's so hard for you to get along with my friends)
(Because Scylla never liked me and Quetz down right hated me and I wasn't quite fond of them either.) He huffed.
(You weren't exactly approachable way back then, My King. You always had that scary look on your face everywhere you go)
(That's because I would always meet with hostility from the other Kaijus. Everyone feared me)
There was silence, letting him listen to her steady heartbeat and warm feeling in his mind. Too bad she was asleep as well because he would've asked for her to let him see through her eyes. To make sure everything was ok on their island home.
(You know I never feared you the first time we met)
(True, but that was because you were too naive to know better) He said as a joke.
How could he forget meeting her for the first time. Sure he saw her before flying in the sky when he was traveling, but the day he actually met her was by accident. He was swimming and was trying to find some land to rest and sleep. He ended up stepping on her island that had some sort of tribe of humans that worship her like some higher Being. Anyway, being as tall as he was, he didn't see her nest on the floor and nearly stepped on her egg. She suddenly came out of nowhere thinking he was some sort of threat. Normally when he comes across another kaiju they would either run away or ignore him, but what caught his curiosity was the fact that she didn't run away. This small, delicate moth went straight up in his face and told him to back away from her egg. It was so shocking it was funny and they ended up fighting. He can still remember being blinded by those giant, colorful wings and the feeling of her fur whenever she attacks him. But he was getting annoyed by her at the time and decided to end it by grabbing her by the neck to get her to stop. His intentions was to tell her to leave him alone then toss her away from him, but it didn't go according to plan. She surprised him by unleashing her little stinger and stabbing him right in his gills. The pain made him jerk and he ended up snapping her neck before passing out from her poison. When he woke up, she was gone and he crawled his way back into the ocean. You would think that little fight would make her stay away, but she ended up coming back again.
(I saw that memory) She said tiredly. (Not one of our best moments since I had to go back to my egg again.)
(A lot of our encounters in our early years weren't our best moments) He confessed.
(True, but you had your reasons, my King. After everything that happened in your young life, I know it was hard for you to open up to anyone, well except for Anguirus that is) She said, sadly. (I remember being a little jealous of your old companion because you seem so relaxed around him. I always wondered what it was about him that you were able to let your guard down.)
He grumbled while thinking about his Spikey Kaiju friend. (He was just like you, too naive to know when to quit. That was his way to convince me to do a lot of things I didn't think I would do.) He said as the surroundings in his dream started to shift and morphed into varieties of colors and shapes. Soon land appeared with grass and large lush trees with giant mountains in the background. The dark empty space above him turned bright blue with a large blazing sun in the middle. Large flyers started to fly across the clear sky and his stomach started to growl….

~Today was gonna be the day
But they'll never throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you..~
It took months, but he managed to find some decent food around this wasteland he settled down for the time being. Sadly, it was a corpse of some Spider-like kaiju that either died of old age or illness, but it was food no less. It was a huge carcass and looking at it made his stomach growl louder and harder despite the horrible smell and cooked, rotting flesh. He laid down next to the dead thing and licked his lips. It's been tough since his exile from his pack, the last few decades weren't easy and he lost count how many times he thought he was going to starve to death, but he was a survivor and was quite pleased with himself he made it this far. Most of the time just to avoid hunger he would sleep off and on for years either in a dark cave or an underwater air pocket. While they were known to be sea and land creatures, they tend to stay more on land since the ocean was so dark and full of hiding places for much bigger, more aggressive water kaijus. He learned that hard way when he came across some entitled bitch sea dragon that goes by the name Tiamat a few years back.
He was swimming when that dreadful encounter occurred. Feeling for the first time some Self-worth for being different than his own kind. The glow of his plates made it easier to explore the black portions of the oceans. His Sire's gifts of better senses made the murky water clear like the cloudless sky. It was like he was made truly to be part of the Deep Blue Sea...then that horrible piece of crap appeared. He found an underwater cave and it looked perfect to rest when he started to feel something weird in there. Before he could react the sea dragon popped out, snapping at him with her giant jaw full of teeth. He attacked back which turned out to be a big mistake when his skin got cut deeply by her razor sharp scales. It was a horrible fight, there was blood everywhere and he knew if he didn't think of a plan soon they were going to attract other predator kaijus. The only reason he escaped was because he managed to ram her back into the cave. Her head hit the top part hard causing a bunch of boulders to collapse around them. He managed to pull himself out, but as for the whereabouts of the sea dragon, he didn't really care.
He was about seven giant bites into this rotting corpse when he realized eating the damn thing was a bad idea. Already feeling ill and feeling the maggots wriggling around in his mouth, he quickly spit out the meat and took off to find something else. A few hours later, he ended up throwing up most of the meal and spent the rest of the day sleeping off the queasy feeling.
The next day was actually a beautiful day. It was warm and he could feel the radiation in the air seeping into his scales and pumping his veins with energy. He saw shadow figures flying across the land and he looked up to see a flock of Feather Flyers passing by. He couldn't help, but snort a bit, it seems like everywhere he goes all the kaijus he would see would be in groups or pairs. He remembered his foster sister telling him over and over again that it's not safe to travel alone in this big, cruel world and she was somewhat right. While a small part of him would love to have someone that would accept him, most of him felt like he was better off alone and happier being alone. He thought about seeking out another pack, far away where they might not know who he was or his Sire or what he can do. He thought about Jaya and how much she wanted him to live a normal life. A new Pack could be his ticket to it, he guessed. Perhaps he would be lucky and be accepted, find a pretty female and settle down with a couple of eggs and live life. Once all that calculated in his head, he couldn't help, but cringe from the mere thought. Last thing he wants is to be around lizard kaijus again. The elders wouldn't get him, the males would hate him and the females are down right crazy and annoying. Yeah, he was better off alone.
It was high noon when he found a large patch of trees for him to lie down for shade and sleep. The radiation in the air not only made kaijus big, but made the plants and trees giant as well. They were also a similar shade of color like his scales so it was easier for him to blend in to avoid any confortations. After making sure there was no one around him, he closed his eyes and went to sleep. Sadly his nap didn't last long when he heard voices nearby causing him grumble and crack one of his eyes open. From the distance he could see two Spikey Kaijus walking by his little hiding place. From the looks of it, one of them was a male due to it being bigger with much longer, shaper spikes on his shell back and the many horns on his face. The other one was smaller and female by how feminine she looked. She didn't have spikes on her back like her male counterpart, more like dull bumps and only had two small horns on her head and one on her nose.
I really wish you would quit this nonsense of yours. The female said, looking up at the male one. Her voice was high and child-like. Mother is getting worried about you.
You and her need to relax, Sis. Why is it so bad to dream of a better life? The Male asked with a smirk.
The female rolled her eyes. Because your "Better Life," means leaving and exploring the outlands. With the Parasite Population out of control, do you really want to risk your life like that, Anguirus? It's better to stay with the Herd, where you belong.
Oh come on, Antiope, have you ever wanted more than to grow up, find a mate and have calves? See other kaijus instead of our own kind? Can you imagine the adventures? The Male said, smiling.
The female grumbled, No, so you might as well forget about it and tend to your duties.
Stop talking to me like some Calf, I'm older than you. The Male said before grabbing the female's horn with his teeth and gave them a playful tug.
Stop Anguirus. I'm trying to be serious here.
See, that's the problem. You're too serious. You're just a youngling yet you're trying to act so mature.
At least one of us is. It's all fun and games to you, when are you going to grow up? She said, firmly.
I am grown hence why I have responsibilities, why do you think I'm out here to begin with? But the real question is, why are you out here?
Mom just wants to make sure you don't wander off like the last time. She joked.
It was just one time and I came back. He said.
You mean chased back? She corrected him
The male rolled his eyes and smiled. Alright, alright, chased back.
Yeah, and you brought nearly a dozen Mutos with you. The Alpha wasn't too happy about that or Mom and Sire.
It was a mistake, and I said I was sorry that some of the Herd got hurt, but at least there were no deaths.
The female sighed, Brother I know you want to leave and explore the lands like our older brother did, but here's the difference. He left with three of his friends, they had a better chance of surviving out there in a group than alone.
And you think I don't have companions?
Not after that stunt you pulled that put the Herd in danger.
The male shrugged, They need to learn not to hold a bad grudge. I'm young, I'm allowed to make mistakes. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to make sure there's no parasite around that can hurt us and I don't need a little nuisance to watch over me.
I am not a nuisance! The female shouted, peeved from her sibling's nickname for her.
Yes you are, not go back and keep mom busy.
I think I should really stay here with you, Anguirus.
I'll be fine, you don't have to worry about me. Now go. He said, with a smile.
The female frowned and shook her head. Alright, just be careful and Please don't go out too far again.
Oh come on sis, you need to trust your big brother. The Male said while leaning down to give his sibling a little nuzzle.
He grumbled to himself from watching this little interaction between siblings and for a moment, he thought about his Foster Sister and wondered how she was doing. He can't recall them ever getting along, mostly because he didn't want to bond with her in the first place. To him, she was just an annoying, know-it-all brat who liked to gossip a lot so it was hard to trust her to tell her things. He remembers his Sire telling his mother the same thing about Jaya. Calling her a Stupid Know-it-all which his mother would laugh it off like it was nothing. Like mother like daughter he supposed. He just knew that when he left, Jay was carrying so no doubt had a hatchling or two now to look after and annoy. He closed his eyes and shuddered from the thought. Jaya was bad enough, he couldn't imagine what her snotty children would be like. After being gone for so long, he was pretty sure she forgot all about him just like the rest of the Pack. He buried his face under his arms and wanted to hit himself for bringing up his old pack and home. He thought after being away for this long, he would forget about it and them, but he couldn't. The way they did him wrong wasn't something he could forget so easily no matter how much time had passed. Part of him wanted to go back, to face Apollo and beat him down right in front of everyone. He wouldn't take over as Alpha, the pack meant nothing to him, but just to show them what he was capable of after so many years of taking their shit.
His stomach started to growl causing painful pinches in his insides. He shouldn't have eaten that rotting spider creature yesterday, but he was so hungry and it was hard to hunt since he was never taught. The only reason he made this far was because he would either find dead corpses or steal food from other predators. The longest he went without food was about three months, thanking the radiation in the air for energy to keep him from passing out, before-
~And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you but I don't know…~
Excuse me, is there a reason you're near my Herd's territory?
He snapped his eyes open to see the Spiky Kaiju looking down at him with a big, curious face. His instincts took over and the first thing he did was roar at the Spikey Kaiju before tackling him with all his strength. Trees flew everywhere as they tumbled backwards with him pinning the spiky kaiju on his back with him on top. He didn't waste time getting up and placing his foot on the other kaiju's chest. Being out on his own this long taught him one thing: never hesitate or show fear. For survival he has to attack first before the other one does.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, I was just asking you a question! The Spiky Kaiju said, panicking with his eyes nearly popping out of his sockets.
He stomped on the kaiju's chest, making sure those spikes of his grind deep into the dirt to prevent him from moving.
I give! Seriously, it's rare to see a lizard kaiju around this land! Stop! The Spiky Kaiju pleaded.
He stared down at the young male, stunned that he wasn't putting up a fight or showed any fear. He just laid there, wondering what he was going to do next. What was he going to do next? He didn't know if this was a trick or not. He could easily pull away only to be ambushed when his back was turn so the logical choice was to quickly finish the job and cave in the kaiju's chest (and perhaps use him as a food source), but-
He snorted, there was no point killing the kaiju. Like the Spike one said, he was just asking a question. He sighed and lifted his foot off the Spiky Kaiju's chest and took a few steps back. He grumbled and turned around to walk away. Feeling tired and heavy all of a sudden. His mind swirling around, trying to figure out where to go now for rest and sleep.
Hey, wait….wait a second….
He stopped and looked back to see the Spiky kaiju trying to get up, but sadly was stuck to the hard ground thanks to his spikes. The two locked eyes and the Spike one laughed nervously.
Um, a little help here….please.
He just stared at him, not sure what to do or even care. He could be a total dick about it and just leave him here…
What's a matter, can't talk? It's not that hard, just tilt me over and I'll do the rest.
His brow perked up and grumbled. You're lucky I'm in a good mood. He said in a low tone while walking over to the Spike one.
Oh, so you can talk? And here I thought there was something wrong with you.
He growled and with his foot he kicked the Spike one over not so gently onto his stomach and just stood there while the other picked himself up and smiled.
Thanks, I would've been stuck like that for hours. The Spike one said. I'm Anguirus, by the way. What's your name?
He rolled his eyes and walked away. He wasn't the type that makes small talk especially with a stranger who would probably see him as a monster just like the rest of the kaijus he came across with. Well, all except for that weird flying bug that would fly by once in a while. He heard footsteps from behind and realized the Spike one was following him.
Stop following me. He said in a deep voice.
Are you alone? The one called Anguirus asked.
He happened to look down only to jump when he realized Anguirus was right next to him. How the hell did he catch up to him that fast?
Oh shoot, are you about to die or something? Is that why you were hiding in those trees?
Wait...what? What makes you think I'm dying? He asked, slightly offended.
Anguirus didn't even flinch. Well, lizard kaijus never travel alone and no offense my friend, you don't look so good. I have never seen a lizard as skinny as you do or as tired looking and malnourished. I figured you had some sort of illness.
He stared at Anguirus. Fuck, you're dumb and no, I'm not ill, I'm just...surviving. He said, tiredly.
Oh I see, wonderful, it looks like you're doing fine by yourself. He said, sarcastically.
Yes indeed, now go away. He growled.
Since when do lizard kaijus travel alone? Were you exiled or just wanted to gain some life experience.
Why in the world would I tell you anything. I don't even know you? He said and continued to walk to put some distance between them.
Just curious. Like I said, it's not every day you see a lone lizard kaiju around here. So what was it. By the way you are acting, you were probably exiled, right?
He couldn't help, but growl and gave the spikey kaiju a slight nod.
Whoa, so what did you do to get banned? Should I fear for my life or something?
What could he say? There were so many things. He was born. The Alpha didn't like him due to what his parents did. He had werid powers they told him to be ashamed of. He killed one of his own kind. He threatened Alpha even though he was a Prick. He banged the Alpha's daughter and left her like the cheap Fling she was. And that was only the tip of the iceberg. I was different….He said, plain and simple.
He nearly bumped into Anguirus when the spiky kaiju started to circle around him. Hmm, you don't look so different. Unless you count that grumpy, scrunched up face you're making. He said as a joke.
He snorted. Don't you have anything better to do besides bothering me. He asked.
Anguirus shook his head with a smile. Nope. Just looking around and making sure there's no Mutos nearby that pose as a threat.
Well, good luck with that. If you are lucky you won't get any female ones.
Hey, wait, where are you going? Stay and talk with me. It gets boring out here. Anguirus said, cheerfully.
Anywhere, but here and no. He said, only to hear the Spike One's footsteps again. Stop following me. He sneered again. It's bad enough he had some Moth kaiju popping in and out of his life now this one as well?
So you're traveling all by yourself?
He didn't respond. Only pick up his speed a bit hoping the annoying one would get the hint.
Ever thought about joining another pack or was this an all time banned from your kind.
I'm the only one of my Kind, He said, pointing at himself, Those "Normal" ones are nothing, but weak, brainwashed, fools.
Anguirus's eyes trail away from him, O...Kay...Care for a Companion?
That made him stop dead in his tracks. Well that came out of nowhere and wasn't prepared how to respond to that. He snorted, No, now go away.
Really? You can't tell me you like being out here all by yourself. I mean, you look like crap, a bad sign you're struggling. I can make a great Companion, we can watch each other's backs.
Go away. He said with more venom in his words.
You would really be doing me a favor here. I want to travel, you need a companion. I'm really great at hunting and my Sire taught me a few things on how to live on me own and communicate with other kaijus hence why it's been so easy talking to you and-
He growled and turned around to glare at Anguirus right in his face. LEAVE! He roared, making his eyes and spikes glow bright in fury. A large pulse escaped from him, sending dirt into the air and little Flyers to run. What shocked him the most that Anguirus didn't flinch or show any sign of fear in his eyes. He just slowly lean his head to the left to get a better view of his glowing plates then have his eyes trail back at him. It was like the Spike One was putting together why he was exiled and alone in this world. He waited for Anguirus to say something. Waiting for him to say things like "Monster," "Abomination," or "Freak of Nature.," before running away, but instead-
Now I can see why you're different. It must've been hard for your Pack to sleep with you brightening up the place all the time. So what do you have to poke to turn the light show off? He asked, chuckling.
He blinked and not sure if he should be mad that the Spike One won't leave him alone or laugh at his weak joke. He slowly stood up and took a deep breath to calm his nerves, making his plates die down to his dark gray color. You're one odd Kaiju….um…
Anguirus. He said with a grin. And I'll take that as a compliment.
He raised a brow, Riiight.
Anguirus laughed, You know, I like you. We could make a pretty good Team, you and me.
He sighed and realized the Spike One is never going to leave him alone and he was too tired and hungry to put any more fight into it. Wouldn't your Herd be concerned about your absence?
At first, but I'm sure they will understand. If we leave now, we can avoid some awkward conversations with them. I mean, you don't look like the social type.
He shrugs, can't really argue with that. He thought. They both stared at each other with him not sure what to do next and Anguirus smiling while wagging his tail, so happy to make a new friend or something like that. Whatever, he didn't really care, sooner or later Anguirus might get tired of him and leave once he gets to know him better. No point wasting time and energy on it.
So what now? He asked. He never had a "Companion" and always looked out for himself. Now there were two.
His stomach started to growl painfully and he looked away with a mixture of embarrassment and shame. No doubt Anguirus is wondering how a huge Kaiju like him is so malnourished.
Well, from the sound of it, we should head that way (pointing at an unknown direction), there's an ocean in that direction and if we leave now we can be there before sunset. Do you like fish?
I ate a rotting corpse yesterday, I'll eat anything at this point. He said, taking off in that direction.
Anguirus shuddered, Ouch, how are you still alive after that. That's pretty much poison ingesting in your body. He said, catching up to him till they were walking side by side. I should know, I tried a Squid's egg one time when I was little and didn't realize it was a dud till it was too late. I spend the next few days throwing up and wishing for a quick death. Though my siblings thought I was overreacting since it was just a rotten egg and all.
He snorted and slightly chuckled from Anguirus's story.
Ah, finally, we get a small smile and here I thought you didn't show any emotions. Anguirus said as if he won a big prize. By the way, you never told me your name? I mean, you do have one right?
He stared down at the Spiky Kaiju, slightly peeved from his wild assumption. He hesitated at first and slightly slump his shoulders. Gojira….
Anguirus grins even wider. It's nice to meet you, Gojira….
