The Digimon Emperor was staring at the Digimental of Light tucked away in a cave on top of a mountain. His cape flew in the wind as he put his hand through his ***** color hair. He turned to see a female walk towards him.
"You have a plan to keep this one from getting into their hands?" She asked
"None yet but I want to keep them away from this area. I think we shouldn't have control spires in this area for a little bit to keep them away from the trail of the Digimental. The crest of light is a powerful one and we let two of the powerful Digimental get into their hands." The boy said
"All of the crests are powerful, they were used to seal Apocalymon after all."
"That is true but Light is the one i'm most worried about."
The girl sighed "I trust you anyways come home for a bit dinner's ready."
"I don't want to eat right now." The boy groaned and the girl rolled her eyes in response.
"And I don't want my brother to starve. Let's go."
"We need to make sure nobody finds out we meet here in the morning!" Jayden declared slamming his fist on the table. He and the rest of the younger digidestined, Paul and their digimon included, were sitting in the outdoor cafeteria next to the garden on the side of the school. Nobody really came out here in the morning thanks to a rumor spread in years past.
"And why do we want nobody to find out?" Shay asked from her spot on the table nearest to the front of the school, Pixumon on the seat by Shay's side.
"I believe it's because there has been a rumor of a 'Kojima Fan Club' and he hates that type of stuff, being in the spotlight I mean." Paul said sitting on the bench at the other end of the table Shay was sitting on, Demiveemon on the table.
"Who wouldn't! I hate the public eye and news reporters." Jayden shivered, he was sitting on the table near the wall so no one could see him unless they turned the corner, Jaxomon floating above him. "I don't even know why there would be one!"
"Your parents have gotten popular so when people find out they have a son their age who goes to their school it's bound to happen plus you did make waves when you signed up for the swim team." Kari said sitting nearest the flowers in the Garden with Gatomon sitting in her lap.
"Seems like you were better off staying in the Digiworld." Tk said from his spot across from Jayden with Patamon on his hat.
"Nah it's fine I can handle it." Jayden said, waving his hand.
"Why do you hate the public eye anyways?" Paul asked. Jayden's expression darkened a bit
"I was going through something after an incident with my friend, news reporters came up to me and kept shoving questions, microphones, and cameras in my face, I couldn't process what happened to Hiro at the time so all the cameras in my face….it pissed me off. I tried telling them I didn't want my face shown on tv but they didn't listen. Media's gotten better I assume though."
"I think I heard about that from my cousin..so it was you then, sorry." Paul said
"It's fine...so I think we should look for Kari's Digimental today. Anyone else agree?" Jayden asked
"I'm fine with it but why?" Kari asked
It's because Gatomon came with us to the real world right?" Jaxomon asked
"Yeah." Jayden replied
"Ok I'm down!" Shay cheered
"Me too." Tk agreed
"I'll go along with it." Paul nodded
"Yeah as the golden child's knights we have to protect him!" Demiveemon shouted
"Now, now we're a team we can get through anything together." Jayden said
"I can't believe you had a loyal knight and didn't tell us." Shay said
"That's because I didn't know." Jayden replied
"You probably should have expected it from your reputation." Tk said
"Well why would I expect something like that! I've never been a popular type and I never wanna be!" Jayden whined
"I find it weird how we're related." Shay commented "I mean I want to be an actress and you want to live in the shadows. But it seems like we're reversed."
After Shay's comment the bell rang and the group said their goodbyes before heading to class.
"My Digimental...I wonder if it's meant for me.." Kari thought
"While our kids are away it's up to hold down the fort!" Jaxomon declared himself and the rest of the Digimon were in the computer lab.
"Sir yes sir!" The others chanted
"Be quiet…" Jayden said at the door.
"When did you get here!?" Jaxomon shrieked
"I can tell when you're about to be loud Jaxo.." Jayden sighed as he closed the door
"Huh? Am I loud?" Jaxomon asked
"Well you can be very...spirited..um..yeah no you're loud." Pixumon said
"Yeah!" Demiveemon cheered
"What?! You're supposed to be on my side!" Jaxomon cried
"Oh..He's not loud at all!"
"He changed his mind so quickly…" Patamon commented
A little bit later in the day Gatomon was sleeping, Jaxomon was in the vents, and Pixumon had followed the other rookie to make sure he didn't do anything stupid. Patamon was watching the In-Training as Jaxomon had so wonderfully assigned this job to him, Jaxomon's words not his.
"Demiveemon I have a question for you," Patamon told the In-Training.
"What is it?" Demiveemon looked up at the rookie.
"When did you meet Jayden? I mean you call yourself his knight but I don't remember Jayden having any."
"Well I knew about the birth of a golden Jaxomon and I wanted to meet one since it was so rare. I finally got the chance one day but it was when Jayden was sent to this world. I saw how depressed Jaxomon looked, I wanted to reunite him with the boy who I later found out was the 'golden child'. I ended up in the human world one day and found Jayden in a weird building place with his friend Hiro. When I saw Hiro I knew he would do anything to protect Jayden so he became my first 'partner' as knights protector of the Golden Child. That's what Hiro called us. I was sealed up in the Digimental after Hiro disappeared...I guess he died."
"Whoa…" Patamon sputtered "You have to be strong for Hiro and Jayden sake now knight! I could help you with tips handling those two because...they can be something."
"Really?" Patamon nodded "Thank you Patamon-senpai no no, Sensei!" Demiveemon cheered, jumping onto the rookie.
"Huh?"
"I forgot to tell them about dance practice!" Kari screams internally running towards the computer lab still in her dance outfit.
She opened the door to see the digimon, Shay, Paul, and Tk waiting.
"There you are. You had dance practice right?" TK asked
"Yeah..where's Jayden?"
"Detention...apparently he almost blew up the science lab according to Jaxomon and Pixumon." Paul said
~Flashback~
"Alright time for my awesome science skills to come into play." Jayden smirked
"Are you good at science?" Kawai, his lab partner asked
"You bet! Now watch this." Jayden grabbed two bottles and put them into a graduated cylinder.
"Wait that's not what we need." His partner freaked trying to stop the boy.
"No we have to believe…" Jayden said, grabbing some other ingredient "Little bit of this and this, what's this...eh should be fine. Finally Vinegar!" Jayden shouted as he took some vinegar and put it in.
*BOOM* Everything in his graduated cylinder exploded, getting everywhere even the vents Jaxomon and Pixumon were watching from.
"Dang It…." Jayden cried
"Seriously?" Kari asked and the others nodded.
"Just 5 more minutes." Jayden thought "I really thought that would work though.. I mixed chemicals just like what was assigned." Jayden tapped on his hand until he saw an albino boy walk into the room handing paper to the monitor of detention. Their eyes briefly met before the albino's red eyes opened wide although Jayden didn't notice.
"His aura is familiar…" Jayden thought, he peered towards the teacher when she addressed the white haired boy.
"Thanks for delivering this Jacob." She managed to pull the boy dubbed, Jacob, back to reality.
"No problem ma'am see you tomorrow." Jacob said scurrying out of the room
Jayden went back to daydreaming about pizza after the boy left the room.
"Jayden you're free to go, be careful next time." Jayden grabbed his things
"I will Mrs. Fujioka. See you later!" Jayden said exiting the room. Once he closed the door he took off towards the computer lab. He turned the corner running into a smaller boy with light brown hair, a second grader.
"I'm sorry." Jayden apologized before heading to the computer lab again. He didn't see the boy staring at him with his gold eyes.
"That's him right…" The boy said aloud before looking a bit annoyed, just a bit.
"Sorry I'm late!" Jayden screamed opening the door
"There you are…" TK sighed
"No time for complaints were late!" Shay shouted, getting on the table "Now, Digiport open!" She shouted diving off the table and pointing her digivice towards the gate.
"What was that for…?" Paul questioned as the group got pulled in
The group of 5 landed outside of the gate and were checking out their surroundings. Shay turned towards Kari and gasped
"Your clothes changed! You were in your dance uniform right?" Shay was correct Kari was now wearing her everyday clothes instead of her dance uniform.
"Strange." Paul commented
"Aniki where are we headed?" Veemon asked
Jayden thought about it as he looked at his Digivice.
"I think maybe we should head up that mountain." Jayden pointed to a snowy mountain a near ways away. "So far we found our Digimentals in temples, a shrine, and a cave. Both mine and Shay's were located at small temples so going by that logic Kari's should be in a cave like Tai's since they're related right?"
"That makes sense…" Pixumon marveled
"Aniki has smart ideas sometimes!" Jaxomon said
"Just sometimes?" Paul asked
"Yes once in a blue moon." Gatomon commented as Jayden scratched the back of his head.
"I remember their being a cave up that mountain so that's why you want to check there right?" Patamon asked
"Yeah…" Jayden said
"Well let's go!" Veemon shouted, running ahead.
"There headed towards the mountain." The Digimon Emperor said out loud his Jazamon partner came next to him
"Maybe you should give it up?" Jazamon suggested
"Are you stupid that's a horrible idea. I think they're stupid to I would have thought they would go to a zone with a dark spire guess not."
"So you're going to send a Digimon after them?"
"I spent the last 10 minutes since I got here placing Digimon on the mountain but I think it would be good to send some after them." The boy's gloved hand flicked through the panel before clicking on the Thundermon button.
"What's that?" Paul asked seeing multiple figures form in the sky.
"Looks like the Digimon Emperor's work." TK said
"Well looks like we have to counter back!" Jayden shouted and the others nodded
"Digimental up!"
"Jaxomon armor digivolve to...Sparksdramon! Electric Virtue!"
"Patamon armor digivolve to...Pegasusmon! Flying Hope!"
"Pixumon armor digivolve to….Sandabadomon! The bird of Tenacity!"
"Veemon armor digivolve to…..Flamedramon! The fire of Courage!"
The 4 armor Digimon stood in front of the kids and awaited the Digimon
"Thunder Bomber!" The figures shot bombs towards the group.
"Split up! TK, Shay, Kari go towards the mountain! Paul and I will distract them."
"OK!" Shay nodded as they mounted their partners and took off.
Jayden and Paul got on their respective partners to confront the hordes of Thundermon.
"This looks like you will be more effective here." Jayden said looking at Paul
"Huh why?" Flamedramon asked
"My electric attacks won't be super effective here. I can try magic but I'd think distracting them should be my purpose here." Sparksdramon said
"Ok cover us then Aniki." Paul said
"Of course." Jayden said winking "my knights."
"Looks like the Digimon Emperor prepared for us." Gatmon said on Pegasusmon's back as loads of Guardromon were on the mountain.
"TK! Get Kari and Gatomon as close to the cave as possible we will take care of the Guardromon!" Shay shouted
"Ok!" Pegasusmon flew towards the cave while Sandabadomon flew at the Guardromon.
"Let's do this!" Shay shouted as the thunderbird flew over top of a group of Guardromon.
"Hold on. Thunder Rumble!" The bird dropped towards the ground. Once they landed the ground shook, knocking the Guardromon off their feet. "Storm Shot!" The dark cloud covered in small lightning bolts landed in the middle of the group of Guardromon, the small bits of lightning spread around hitting the dark rings.
"Just like that!" Shay cheered
"Barrier!" Sparkdramon put up a magenta barrier in front of some Thundermon who was going after himself and Jayden.
"Close one. They're fast." Jayden commented
"Yeah the Emperor might be trying to counter my speed." Sparksdramon said and Jayden nodded in agreement.
"Knuckle Fire!" Flamedramon attacked the Thundermon who landed on the barrier
"Just like that." Paul said
"Thunderbolt!" Thundermon attacked Flamedramon who dodged.
"Thunderball!" A group snuck up behind Flamedramon and attacked him with electric volts.
"AAAAHHH!" Flamedramon and Paul shouted
"Thunderbolt!" Thundermon shot more thunderballs at the two.
Before the attacks could connect Sparksdramon tackled Flamedramon out of the way while Jayden did the same for Paul.
"That was close." Sparksdramon said
"Will you two be alright?" Jayden asked
"Yeah..thanks Aniki." Paul said
"Don't worry about like I said earlier we are a team. Speaking of teams, what's taking so long?"
Kari and Gatomon were running into the cave after hopping off of Peagusmon who was taking care of Guardromon right outside of the cave.
The cave was decked out with pink rocks along the wall of the cave the deeper in they got.
"Looks like Jayden was right." Kari said as they found the Digimental of Light on a Pedestal.
"What are you waiting for? Pick it up." Gatmon told Kari
"Are we sure it's mine? What if it belongs to another kid?" Kari asked
"Never know unless you try Kari." Kari nodded and right before she touched the egg it started the glow pink. Kari's digivice started to glow and turn into the other kids' model except for the rims being pink. She then picked up the egg as it started to glow.
"Gatomon armor digivolve to…. Nefertimon! The angel of Light!" Gatmon had turned into a mixture of herself and a sphinx .She had grown two pairs of white wings.
"Hop on Kari." Nefertimon told the girl who listened
Outside Sandabadomon and Pegasusmon were getting backed into a corner by Guardromon preparing to attack.
"Destruction Grenade!" They brought up their forearms aiming at the digidestined.
"Rosetta Stone!" A megalith came from inside the cave and attacked the Guardromon. Nefertimon soon flies out of the cave, hovering by the others
"Kari! Looks like it belonged to you!" Shay cheered
"Now let's take care of the rest!"
"Shooting Star!"
"Paralyzing Screech!"
"Nile Jewelry!"
The flurry of attacks were able to destroy the dark rings connected to the Guardromon.
"Alright!" The kids cheered.
"C'mon back to Jayden and the others!" Tk shouted
"It feels like they don't stop coming." Jayden commented as Sparksdramon punched some away.
"The Digimon Emperor is sending lots after us but he would use Digimon under his command like this, especially since he shouldn't have an unlimited supply." Paul said
"I agree." Jayden nodded before turning back ahead noticing flying figures coming towards them. "Back up a bit." Jayden told Paul grabbing his hand
"Huh why?" Paul asked
"Golden Noose!" Pegasusmon and Nefertimon circled around the Thundermon binding them in a golden rope.
"Nice!" Jayden cheered, "Let em' have it!" Jayden shouted
"Knuckle Fire!"
"Storm Shot!"
"Magi Blast!"
"Silver Blaze!"
"Curse of the Queen!"
The attacks hit the Thundermon destroying all of their black rings.
"Yes!" The group cheered
"Looks like they got the Digimental of Light, oh well there are still 5 more left plus I'm getting data on these armor Digimon. Soon Black Towers will stop them from Armor Digivolving." The Digimon Emperor stood up
"What are you going to do next master?" Jazamon asked
"I want to weaken them and I think I know how, I just need to track down those other Digimon that were around that Golden pest."
I'm sorry for taking so long on this chapter. I haven't really thought about writing fanfictions in a while so my motivation was shot. I'm not saying that I'll be more consistent with chapters but I'll give it a shot. Thank you for reading and your support!
