Later on, the three met up at The Big Squeeze, though Nikki, Caitlyn and Wyatt had already gone home, as it was already 10:00 at night. Since Jude and Jen worked longer than usual, they texted their parents letting them know they'd be coming home late and they were fine with it. Jonesy spent the day either job hunting or slacking off, but he stayed late as well because he didn't feel much like walking home in the cold. Jude was grateful that Jen and Jonesy offered to drop him off. He usually skateboarded home but since it was snowing outside, he couldn't and, like Jonesy, he didn't really want to walk home, especially considering how dog tired he was. Plus, this gave him the perfect opportunity to ask Jen to come over. They got their coats on and walked outside towards the parking lot. Jude still shivered, as he was very skinny and got cold easily, even with warm clothes on. His feet were cold, too, as his shoes had holes in them due to having them for a while, and he'd been procrastinating going shoe shopping lately, making him all the more grateful that Jen and Jonesy were dropping him off. They got in the car, Jen in the driver's seat, Jonesy in the passenger seat and Jude in the back. "Have either of you guys had dinner?" Jen asked. Jude and Jonesy shook their heads. "Me neither. Does anything sound good to you guys?" she asked. "How about Wendy's?" Jonesy asked. Neither Jude nor Jen seemed to mind that suggestion. "Okay." she decided. "It's on me, dude's." Jude offered. "You sure?" Jen asked. "Yep. You're giving me a ride home, it's only fair that I pay for dinner." Jude said. "Thanks, sweetie." she said. "Yeah, thanks, man." Jonesy added. "No worries, dude and dudette." he said. As they started driving, Jude decided it would be a good time to ask. "So babe, when you've got some free time this week, would you like to come over? Jonesy, you can come, too, bro. I'd just like to spend some time with you since we've both been so busy lately." he asked. Jen smiled. "I would love that. We don't have school Thursday and finals week will be over by then, maybe Jonesy and I can come over that day?" she offered. "Cool." he said. "Alright, we'll be there, around 1:00." she decided. Jude did a good job at containing it, but he was totally over the moon. He didn't even mind Jonesy tagging along, as he knew that Jonesy would give them time alone so that he could ask her to the dance. "Sweet." he said. "It'll be nice to spend some time with you. I'm sorry we haven't spent much time together lately, hopefully after finals are over we can fix that." she said. "It's alright. I'm just glad we're together now and we'll be together soon." he told her. She reached out her hand from the front seat and he held it for a minute. Then she pulled into the Wendy's drive thru. "Hello, and welcome to Wendy's. What would you like to order?" a man's voice asked through the intercom. "Hi, can I get three large baconator meals?" Jen said. Jude and Jonesy beamed at this, a baconator sounded real good to both of them right about now. "What kind of sauce would you like?" the man asked. "Just barbeque." she said. "And what beverages would you like?" he asked. "Coke, Sprite and Dr. Pepper." she said. "Alright, please pull up to the window." the man said. And so, Jude gave Jen his debit card so that she could pay for the meal at the first window and they received the meal at the second window. It came in three bags and the drinks came in a drink carrier. Jonesy held it all as they drove, but they didn't have far to go.
