Mikan stared in disbelief as she looked on in fear. He was like her. He had one of those ghost things as well, except he looked a lot more menacing with his beside him. "W-Wha-" Mikan stammered, taking a step back as Diego jumped down from the tree.

"You heard me, Tsumiki. What is your Stand? And why are you following me?" Diego asked as Mikan swallowed back the fear building up in her throat. "You can't hide it from me anymore. I saw its arm jut out of your shoulder when you tripped up on that rock. I would recommend you show me your Stand so that we can avoid a fight. After all, we both know who would win in a fight." As Diego said this, his lackadaisical stare shifted quickly into one laced with murderous intent, making Mikan take a step back out of fear. "Unless you wish to prove me wrong," Diego taunted as Mikan took another step back.

"N-No! I-I don't want t-trouble, p-please!" Mikan begged as Diego approached her slowly, The World following his every move as they approached.

"Then show me your Stand! Show me its strength! Show me what it can do!" Diego demanded as The World rushed in front of Diego and recoiled its arm back, preparing to send a punch towards Mikan. Unbeknownst to Mikan, Diego only wanted her to reveal her Stand to her in full, not to hurt her. This was a risky play, but one he had to make. As for the Ultimate Nurse, her eyes widened in fear. "Don't hold back! Because if you do! It'll be the end of you!" Diego roared, causing Mikan to panic.

"Bad Medicine!" Mikan shouted, her voice filled with fear as her Stand finally revealed itself to Diego. Its purple skin and yellow slanted eyes were the first things that he saw. It wore a pink chest plate, shoulder guards, and arm guards, all with heart-like motifs decorating them. On its waist was what seemed to be a row of needles, and on the chest plate was a heart monitor smack dab in the center. Its legs were covered in the same pink armour decorated with heart motifs as well, and its feet were not covered.

Bad Medicine blocked the punch by putting its two arms together to create an arm shield. Despite this, however, the impact from The World's punch was enough to send them flying back into the ground. Mikan grunted as she tried getting up off the floor. "What an interesting Stand, Tsumiki," Diego commented as he smirked.

"I-I don't want t-to fight. Bad Medicine w-wasn't made for f-fighting…" Mikan said as she stood up. "I-I was just surprised to s-see someone e-else have something like me… A Stand, that's what you called it, right? If that's what it's c-called, then yes… this is my Stand…." Mikan explained as Diego hummed.

"I see… Then that explains why even though you blocked the punch from The World, you were still launched back," Diego said as he placed a hand to his chin. "Then tell me, what does it do? Depending on what you say, you could be a close ally to me. After all, I don't suspect many others to be Stand users to be on this island." Diego said, his eyes focused on the Stand in question.

Mikan fidgeted her hands as her Stand disappeared, causing Diego to raise an eyebrow. He decided not to question it, as he assumed that she only put it away due to nervousness. "W-Well… My Stand can heal any kind of wound… well, not any kind of wound. Mostly diseases, but it can perform surgery at extremely fast speeds, so basically, it can heal any wound, just not with instant gratification. Although, it can instantly heal cuts and gouges by sticking its fingers into the wound in question. It can't replace body parts, nor can it revive the dead, however." When Mikan finished explaining, Diego nodded with a small smile on his face, showing to Mikan that he was satisfied with her answer.

"A fitting Stand for a nurse, I must say. You mentioned it had no combat potential, correct? But its reflexes are fast. Are you sure about that assessment of yours?" Diego asked as Mikan nodded.

"I-I tried using it to f-fend off some bullies once… but it did nothing… well, it did make someone stagger… but that was it, it didn't even leave a bruise…." Mikan said as Diego nodded.

Then I don't see it being any use for fighting. Healing, however, is a different story. It could be incredibly useful. Especially in the situation, we find ourselves in," Diego said as he had The World disappear. "I suppose I owe you an apology for attacking you suddenly. The fear, as well as curiosity, of someone else being a Stand user caught me completely off guard. I hope that you can… somewhat… forgive me," Diego said, returning to his lackadaisical attitude as Mikan nodded.

"W-Well… I would a-accept your apology, but y-you still have to a-answer for severely h-hurting Hiyoko! I know she can be… a-a bit r-rude… but that's b-because of w-who she is…" Mikan said as Diego raised an eyebrow. He hummed. Perhaps Hiyoko had a similar issue like that of himself? He would be the first to admit that he did, indeed, have anger issues. So perhaps Hiyoko was the same.

"I see, so her rude attitude cannot be helped. Hmm…" Diego hummed as Mikan watched him closely. She was afraid that he would, at any minute, attack her using his Stand. Instead, he continued to talk. "Well then… allow me to change the subject. Tell me, how did you acquire your Stand, Tsumiki? Do you remember?" Diego asked as Mikan sighed. It took her a moment to talk, as she had looked away, a distant look in her eyes as she stayed silent. After a minute of silence later, she finally spoke up.

"Well… I-I think it went like t-this. I-I can't r-remember the e-exact circumstances o-of how I r-received Bad Medicine… but…" She stopped, a confident look in her eyes replaced the meek and scared stare from before as she continued. "I-I know I was walking h-home f-from somewhere when I w-was jumped b-by some people f-from my Junior High school… T-They b-beat me b-black and b-blue… and l-left me to die… I thought I-I was a goner… n-nobody came to my rescue a-at all. Not m-my friends… N-Not my teachers… n-no one…" She stopped, her hand clenched into a fist as she glared at the floor.

Diego could tell that this was a very traumatizing experience for her. It reminded him a bit of himself before he acquired The World. A meek and scared child, someone who was afraid of everyone around him because of their threatening demeanours. He truly was someone who was scared of his own shadow, again, before he acquired his Stand. Mikan reflected that to a tee. It brought a slight smile to his face as he listened to her story.

"I b-believed I was going to d-die… and I fell into d-despair… until suddenly… something c-came sticking out o-of the ground… i-it was s-some sort of h-hand. W-When I reached o-out to it… it grasped m-my wrist, and… then the full arm came out of the ground, and m-merged with my arm… I-I don't know w-what it was… but from t-then on… Bad Medicine was by m-my side." When Mikan finished her explanation, Diego went wide-eyed.

'A corpse part?! Her Stand came from a Corpse Part?! But which Corpse? It can't be His corpse… so which Saint did it come from? I know of 26 Saint's located in Japan, schools taught of it, and I was one of the people who knew it off by heart. They were all instructed to go to Japan by him, and they died via crucifixion… but…' "Where did you live, at that time, Tsumiki?" Diego asked, his eyes burning with anticipation as Mikan began to stammer.

"N-Nagasaki… why?" Tsumiki asked as Diego hummed. His eyes glanced at her arm as he grabbed it. As Diego gripped onto her wrist, a boney hand began to protrude from her's as she went wide-eyed. Diego stared with vigour, his eyes widening at the sight of what he believed to be a Saint's Corpse part.

"I see… so I was right. This is a Saint's corpse part! Specifically the left arm of the Saint known as Saint Francisco!" Diego said boldly as the arm seeped back into hers. She forcibly made Diego let go of her arm as she clutched it.

"W-Wha- how is t-that even possible?! I thought t-that was s-some sort of dream I had! I-It was real! W-what the h-hell!" Mikan stammered as Diego sighed.

"I think I have the answer you're looking for. You went through something known as a Devil's Palm. They are rare occurrences that test others to see if they are worthy enough to gain a Stand. They show up randomly across areas a Saint had died at. There are times where people gain Stands when the Corpse Parts don't show themselves, but on extremely rare cases, like you and I, where they do, they merge with that person, granting them extremely powerful Stands in the process," Diego explained as Mikan grasped her head in confusion.

"I-I-" She stammered out before shaking her head. "W-Well, that explains a lot…" She said as she paused. Pulling out her monopad, she looked at the clock that was installed on it. Looking back at Diego, she began to speak again. "I… We s-should head back now. It's nearly 3 pm… a-and I have to go see Hiyoko. I need to check on her…" Mikan said as Diego nodded in agreement.

"Well then, we should get a move on then," Diego said as Mikan watched him leave. In the back of her mind, she was still worried about why he bought that ammunition for his gun. She didn't bring it up in their conversation because she didn't want to provoke him.

'Just what are you going to do… with that gun, Diego Brando?' Mikan thought to herself as she walked to the hotel area to check on Hiyoko.

Diego continued his walk. His current goal was to find Byakuya Togami. He needed to talk to him about him being a guard at the party. He didn't want to participate in it, mostly because he knew what could happen before the party happened.

'Someone is going to die at that party… I can almost guarantee that,' Diego thought as he walked into the park. Standing in front of the bomb was Byakuya. He let out a heavy sigh as he cleared his throat, getting the fat man's attention.

"Ah, Brando. To what do I owe the pleasure?" Byakuya said, half sarcastically and half annoyed as Diego sneered.

"Togami. I have a proposition to you," Diego said as Byakuya raised his eyebrow. He was intrigued. What did this miscreant have for him that he could possibly want?

"Oh, do tell, what do you wish to propose to me?" Byakuya asked as Diego smirked.

"I know about the party, and I have a bad feeling about it. It seems like the perfect place for a murder to occur. The old building beside the hotel is where it is being held, correct?" Diego asked as Byakuya feigned shock.

"Oh, you actually paid attention to the meeting? What a surprise! I was with the impression that you ignored," Byakuya snarkily replied as Diego snarled.

"I would rather much like it if you paid me with respect, Togami. You wouldn't want to get on my bad side," Diego spoke with a venomous tone as Byakuya levelled a glare at the horse jockey.

"Oh? And why should I? I've tolerated you for the time you've been on this island, but now that we are standing one on one with each other, I should make it clear to you that I hate your guts. You're evil. From what I can make out about you, you manipulate others, taunt and threaten those who even give you the slightest of nasty looks, and you have an anger problem. Tell me, did I get that right?" Togami asked as Diego grit his teeth.

"I'll admit. That does describe me to a tee…" Diego said as he glanced at the floor before looking back up at the heir. "But you'd be surprised just how many others have the same attitude: Theirs Hiyoko, and theirs Fuyuhiko. The difference between them and me is that I'm trying to reign in my anger and control myself." Diego spoke honestly as Byakuya crossed his arms across his chest.

"Hmph, alright. But still, what is this proposal you have for me? We didn't strike up this conversation to argue, after all," Byakuya said as Diego nodded.

"As I said, I have a strong suspicion that there will be a murder occurring at the party. After… that strange fellow who told me to draw sticks-"

"Nagito, but continue…." Byakuya interrupted as Diego sighed.

"After Nagito… finishes what it is he's doing, I want to sweep the place over, just in case he set up some kind of trap. Then, afterward, I want to be a guard who guards the room as to where the party is happening," Diego stated as Byakuya hummed.

"I see… but I can tell that there is a catch to this… so what's the catch?" Byakuya asked as Diego drew his gun, not pointing it at Byakuya. Rather, he spun it around his finger before stopping.

"If I am to be guarding the area, I will be armed, just in case I need to stop someone from committing murder or who is planning to do so. I won't be shooting to kill, only to prevent and distract, since I know the consequences of such a thing," Diego said as Byakuya gave him a skeptical look.

"How am I to trust you?" Byakuya asked as Diego put his gun away.

"I am a man of my word. I wouldn't go back on something that was asked of me, especially if it is something I say. So tell me, Byakuya, does that sound like someone who is trustworthy?" Diego asked as the Togami heir hummed.

"I'll trust you, Brando. Don't make me regret it. Now, if that is all, leave me be. I have some things to think of." Once Byakuya said that Diego walked away. Now all he had to do was wait… wait until the party was ready to start.
