(A/n hey guys here's another chapter but first I got some comments to respond to.
A guest asks Yugi x Wendy. I didn't think of putting romance in this but since both Yugi and Wendy are youngish characters I can do fluff or cutesy stuff. I'm gonna assume that Wendy is 13 at this point where I put this story, and Yugi since he's a freshman in high school I'm gonna put his age at 14 almost 15. So fluff and possible romance can be considered but since this will be a lengthy story I'll fit it in.
Empourer thank you for enjoying my story. Ironically your question is asked at the right time. This chapter is gonna reveal their magic. I can consider them using Monster summoning magic but with a twist, each character will have an affinity or a base type. Like how dragon slayers is a type of magic but the affinity or element makes their magic different from each other. This is gonna be the same thing and I already have it settled who's got what. And since they'll have an affinity they can cast magic normally but combined with their monsters makes it more powerful. Now since at this point yugi and yami will basically have the same deck to work with, they can only summon 1 monster of one kind from each deck. So they both can't bring out dark magician. Chapter 4 Magic Realization
Joey stammers his eyes wide in response to what Natsu just told them. "Your saying... we can do magic!?"
Both Yugi and Yami shared Joeys surprise, both exchanging a glance before looking towards the pink haired dragon slayer. Lucy looked to her partner.
"Natsu how could you figure that out? Can you sense magic on them?" Natsu relaxed his posture resting his arms at his side. "Again, they're magic is strange..." It was bothering Natsu to bits as he sat down at one of the tables.
Yugi not one wanting to keep things hidden, mostly to the frustrations of their new friends, walks to the table and sits as well.
"I have to tell you something." Yami and Joey could tell that Yugi had enough of trying to keep things hidden. If it continued they wouldn't get anywhere. Both males came to sit down next to Yugi while Lucy took her seat next to Natsu on the picnic bench tables.
Yugi looked at the two mages in front of him, sighed a little before putting his chin on his hands resting the elbows on the table. "This is gonna sound very very unbelievable. But you have to believe me. The truth is we don't know where we are. We.. aren't from this world. This universe you could say."
Happy who had been eating a fish from the kitchen since they came in dropped it on the table much to Joeys dismay who cringed at the raw sea creature. Natsu's eyes gleamed at them looking at one male to the other. Lucy on the other hand was rubbing her head trying to figure it out.
"So your saying..? That's your not originally from here..?" Natsu finally pieced it together.
Joey shook his head his arms crossed over his chest.
The serious mood was off putted when two arrivals walked into the guild. "Natsu-San! Lucy-San!" The three males nearly jumped out of their skins as they looked behind them.
"Oh! Gajeel! Wendy! Master said you two stayed behind from the cruise ship." Lucy stood up for a second to greet the two.
"Ehh? What the hell? A pair of doubles and a gangster?" In Gajeel's eyes this is what he views Joey Yami and Yugi as.
Gajeel walks to the table as the three males get a better look of him. With long jet black hair that was a mess, black tank top with what looked like metal bands on his arms and Inbedded in his arms, deep red eyes with white crop shorts and thick black boots. Joey got annoyed with Gajeels statement of them.
"Hey if anybody looks like a gangster is you, ya creeper." He slammed his hand on the table.
"Oh the blondie has a backbone? Can't wait to break it, gihihi." Lucy steps in to break up the almost fight once again as Wendy approached Yugi and Yami.
"Hello, my name is Wendy." Wendy smiled at the two. She was dressed very cute like. Wearing a white dress with a red bow with ruffles, her hair pulled into pigtails by two red barrette, with white flats to match. Her brown eyes looked at the two curiously. Her eyes were a lighter shade of brown compared to Lucy's.
"Hello, Wendy. My name is Yami.. this is.." Yami was caught off guard by Yugis reaction to the sapphire blue haired girl.
The young Muto boy stared at the sky dragon slayer, his eyes unblinking as a slight blush was starting to appear on his face, his mouth open slightly as if to speak.
Wendy looked at him the smile never leaving her face. "Your name?" She said which snapped Yugi out of it.
"Ah! I-I.. it's Yugi.. Yugi Muto.." The blush lightly stained his cheeks as he messed his hair a bit trying to distract himself from his fumbling stare that he gave the girl.
"Nice to meet you Yugi-San, Yami-San." She walked around the table and hugs Natsu and Lucy each before petting Happy.
"So I take it Charla and Pantherlily are on the cruise?" Lucy noticed the black and white cats weren't present with the fellow slayers.
"Just because we couldn't go doesn't mean they needed to miss out. Sorry you weren't here to go with them Happy." Happy waved off Wendy's sadden tone.
"It's ok Wendy. We got to meet these three. They were just telling us their actual-story." Gajeel and Wendy looked at them as they sat down with Lucy and Natsu.
Yugi looked embarrassed as he tries to repeat what he said just before the two entered. "We-we aren't from around here... we're from another universe." It's like the surprise wasn't even there.
The two slayers spoke up at the same time. "We heard." It was like a pin dropped before anyone reacted Joey being the first, was flabbergasted. "Ehhh?? How'd you hear that shit!?" Lucy giggled covering her mouth at how stunned their friend was.
"They're both like Natsu. They're Dragon slayers." Lucy confirmed which made Joeys head hit the table.
"Whoa, your a dragon slayer?" Yugi looked in awe at Wendy clearly amazed. His gaze made the bluenette blush heavily as she covered her face.
"Y-yes..!" The shy girl stutters as she hides her face in Lucy's back side who just giggled.
Gajeel wasn't gonna let up. "There's no proof you guys aren't from here. For all we know you could be a bunch of idiots who don't know anything about Guilds or wizards."
Yugi looked to Joey. "Joey do you have yours?" Yugi opened his deck box that was on his belt while Joey pulled his out of his coat pocket.
"Cards? You play cards?" Natsu noticed the decks in their hands. "That's nothing new. Cana has Card magic."
Yami smirks. "Oh these are no playing cards, Natsu. These are Duel monster cards. In our world, Duel monsters is a very popular complex and competitive game. People all over the world compete in tournaments, playing this game."
The four mages looked amazed. "So instead of large amounts of magic.. your world has Duel monsters." Happy concluded. Natsu wasn't satisfied.
"You said something before about this worlds laws enhancing whatever shadow magic.. your thing may have. Care to explain this Shadow magic?" Natsu looked annoyed, he wanted to know everything about these 3. The fact they weren't from Fiore had him skeptical and suspicious.
Yugi looked down apprehensive. He looked to Yami who nodded his head and squeezed his hand under the table.
"In my world... Shadow magic didn't always exist. In ancient Egyptian times they used shadow magic to bring monsters on stone tablets to life. Until a great evil almost destroyed the world. A pharaoh was able to lock it away along with several mystical and magical items. This.." he touched the puzzle around his neck putting the puzzle on the table for them to see. "Is one of the items, the Millennium puzzle. When I put it together the shadow magic and shadow games begun again.. and released the spirit of the ancient Pharaoh. " Yugi looks away as Yami squeezed his shoulder.
Lucy looked at Yami. "I thought something was strange about you... I'm a celestial wizard as in a celestial spirit wizard. I could tell something was off about you because of that. So your the spirit of the puzzle..!?" This made Natsu jump up. He walked away from the table his brain trying to understand everything.
"So, you not only play card games for fun, you do it for dangerous situations!? And you got evil shit going around in your world over a card game..!?" Gajeel slammed his fist on the table. Wendy looked shocked as she gazed from Yugi to Yami.. "Is it an accident that you two look alike or... are you his reincarnation..?" She points at Yugi. The shorter boy looked down nodding.
Wendy grasps her hands together and giggles. "It's amazing..! It's like looking in a mirror!" That made both Yami and Yugi very bashful with Yami coughing into his fist blushing a little.
The others laugh at their bashfulness.
"So you guys basically saving the world with card games." Gajeel hit the nail on the head making all three guys sweat. "I WAS KIDDING!! ITS TRUE THOUGH?!?!" He exclaimed loudly. That made Natsu Lucy and Happy laugh, Natsu falling back in his seat his head making a thunk noise as it hit the hard floor.
"So you say we could use magic here? How would that even work..?" Joey frowns thinking it over. Lucy thought about it for a second place laying with her fingers before jumping up. "Yes I know! None of us here can teach you. But someone else can." She pulls out a set of keys on a keyi ring before pulling a gold key off the set.
"A key?" Yami looked intrigued while Joey looked confused.
"It's Lushi's magic!" Happy cheered as Lucy held it.
"Open! Gate of the Lion! Loke!" A golden magic circle appeared at the end of her key as a bell like sound chimed in the arrival of a male in a black tux like suit with golden fluffy hair that looked like it had ears in it, clear glasses behind blue green eyes.
"Yo, Lucy! How are you doing?" Loke addressed his key owner holding her hand and talking flirtingly.
"Loke is a-" "Zodiac! Leo the lion Zodiac!" Yugi gapped in surprise cutting Lucy off who looked surprised.
"How'd you figure that??" She gapped at Yugi who chuckled. " Zodiac stuff exist where we're from from birthdays to constellations. But a physical spirit representation of the Zodiac? It's incredible!" Yugi looked so entranced by the magic.
Loke looked at Lucy. "So Lucy why am I here for?" The blonde lion spirit smiles playfully.
"These are our new friends. Joey Yugi and Yami and they all have a bit of magic in them and you being not of this world like them I figured you could teach them!" Loke looked the three over throughly.
"I can definitely see something. What's those things in your hands..? They're glowing too." Joey and yugi looked surprised not seeing the glow that Loke could see. "Don't worry I can help you guys see it. By helping you draw out your own magic."
So begins a long process of having the trio draw out their decks Yami having an almost copy of Yugi's deck. Loke touched their arms with a bit of his own magic. "Focus on your magic. Look deep down. Magic is deep in your being, since your not from here bringing it to the surface will need a little force!"
The three take deep breaths holding their decks in their hands, they're eyes closed as they focused. Suddenly the slayers, happy and Lucy could feel a dense magic building in the room as suddenly magic auras enveloped around the three males. Joey had a red aura which Loke took for fire, yugi a blinding white and yami a dark black, which was shadows.
"Open your eyes boys your magic is at the surface." Loke looked impressed. "Now let's see what your magic can do along with your cards."
Natsu and Gajeel looked eagerly at this part of it wanting to see their monsters for real.
Yugi nervously took a card from his deck as the magic condensed around the card he drew.
He felt the words come to him as he raised his card in the air. "Monster summon! Kuriboh!" In a white magic circle as the magic burst forth from the card came one of his most beloved monsters in the shape of a furry big eyed creature.
It cried out as it appeared.
"So cute!!" Lucy and Wendy cheered while Natsu and Gajeel almost started laughing. The girls walked over to the floating puff ball and wanted to see how life like it was.
Yugi touched his monster and gasped. "I-it's solid!!" Joey and Yami gasped behind him as the two female mages pet Kuriboh.
Wendy giggles. "Kuriboh is so cute Yugi-San. What does he do in a duel back home?" She held it in her arms as Lucy pet it, the monster cooing as a result.
Yugi bashfully spoke smiling at Wendy holding his monster. "In a duel if Kuriboh is destroyed in battle I don't take any damage for the rest of the turn."
Lucy giggles. "So he's a life saver! What a cutie! Such a good boy Kuriboh" she said fawning over the cute monster.
Joey grins holding out a card. "I got something that just as cute and with a bit of fire power!" His magic starts condensing into the card as a red magic circle formed. "Monster Summon! Baby dragon!"
In a flash of fire magic and red light a tanned small baby dragon appeared on the ground before Joey.
"Awesome! It's a dragon!!!" Natsu cried out while Gajeel look dumbfounded and amazed.
"It's amazing!" Loke smiles at everyone's reactions to the monsters. They were doing it and they were able to summon their monsters as if they were wizards.
Yami drew his card smiling. "Monster summon! Dark magician!" The condensed magic in the card burst forth as the dark magic circle appeared in front of him as his faithful monster appeared floating in the air. This made everyone stop and stare in awe.
"Whoa, Yami! Dark magician looks amazing!" Joey grins widely at his buddy's monster. Yugi smiles giving his partner a thumbs up.
Loke clapped his hands together."Well they got everything down perfectly. Now you need to realize the magic. Do as you did to summon your monsters and release them back into their cards." The trio looked down at their cards as Yugi went first.
He looked at his monster before raising the card he'd been holding on to. "Monster Summon! Magic release!" In a flash of light Kuriboh returned to the card.
Wendy looked amazed a big smile on her face her cheek painted pink. "Great job Yugi-San!" Once again her words made the short high schooler blush deeply.
Joey looked at his dragon and held the card out to it as it glowed. "Magic Release!" The dragon condensed down and returned to the card. Everyone was clapping for them for their first magic experience.
Yami stared at his monster as he spoke the same words his friends did, his Magician returning to the card in a black shadow magic glow.
The three boys sat down hard on the benches. "Damn this magic thing is draining. It's amazing buy very draining!" Natsu and Gajeel laugh at his discomfort.
"Nah you'll get the hang of it, blondie!" Natsu grins cheekily.
"Blondie!? Who you calling Blondie you pink hair bastard! Come here!" He jumps up and starts chasing the slayer around the guild hall Gajeel laughing at the two as Natsu just manages to avoid Joey's fast feet.
"I think those two get along great." Yami watched the two chasing each other. Yugi nods in agreement as Lucy almost falls on the ground laughing. Loke vanished into a glow of light returning to the spirit world.
"Ah! Wait what about you guys?" Yugi pointed to Lucy. "How did you meet Natsu?" Lucy turned bright red and started stammering.
"I-I we met in H-Hargeon.. h-he saved me from a slave boat..." she blushed looking at Natsu still running from Joey.
"Judging by your response you and him have been through a lot." Yami smiled at the blonde wizard. She nods and yelps when Natsu screams his head in a headlock by Joey giving the pinkette a nuggy.
"Ahhh! Let go! let go!" Joey laughs at Natsu's screams.
"That's for calling me blondie pinky!" Joey laughs letting go of the male who turns in a circle his hair completely a mess on his head.
Gajeel had tears in his eyes laughing hysterically. "Hahahaha! Salamander you look ridiculous!!" He slapped his knees laughing. Natsu's face matched his hair as he chased the black haired trying to choke the metal slayer.
Lucy grabs Natsu trying to stop him the pink haired male started dragging the blonde behind him. "Natsuuu!!!" She screams.
"Get back here Gajeel!!!" The fire slayer jumped on the metal slayer both tumbling on the floor, Lucy letting go before she was dragged into the mess too.
Yami ran over and helped Lucy to her feet as the two slayers tussled on the ground. Wendy took Yami's seat next to Yugi smiling at the boy who blushed. "So how's you get to this guild Wendy..?"
Wendy played with her hair as she thinks. 'Darn it's not fair he's from another world he's really interesting..' "uh I was from another guild when I met Natsu-San and the others. It was for a major guild mission to take out a dark guild. There were other members from other guilds there as well. After the mission.. my guild vanished. Turns out they never truly existed, that they only existed to give me a home. From there Natsu-San Lucy-San, Gray-San, and Erza-San brought me here to Fairy tail with Charla. We've been here ever since."
Yugi touched her shoulder smiling. "You have great friends to give you a place to belong to. What about the big guy? Gajeel right? Howd he get here?"
Wendy thought for a moment before looking at him. "Gajeel-San was apart of a dark guild, his guild was hired to kidnap Lucy by her father. When Natsu-San and everyone took out the guild, Master gave Gajeel a chance to redeem himself. So here he is. I wasn't here then but I heard about it from Levy-San."
Yugi nodded. "You guys sure are strong!" He grins at her, light shining in his eyes. Wendy giggles at his reaction.
Wendy's ears perked a little as she looks to the door. Natsu and Gajeel both stop fighting as they listen to what's outside.
"Welcome to Fairy Tail!" This time Yugi Joey Lucy and Yami looked to the door. The three other world males gasped in surprise.
Three males walked in the door. "Yo! Natsu-San! Long time no see!" The blonde male spoke up standing next to a black hair male, but it was the Brunette that caught everyone's attention as Yugi jumped up.
"Kaiba!!" The three males cried out in relief and joy.
