No B312 won't be spilling his entire back story, like the Spartan program is one of the most heavily kept secret program in the UNSC.
Like I know that people really what to show that they know a thing or two about the Spartan program, but saying that out in the open to a bunch of people without clearance is very idiotic!
They could have just stated it in an inner monologue or something.
Hell , even when the Master Chief was meeting with High Command, the admirals needed to state that they that they got clearance which included the blackened portion of the report before they got the Chief to speak.
--story start--
A few days later
It didn't take long after Shepard choose him to be part of her away team in Illium.
Shepard didn't say much about what they'll be doing in Illium, but judging by the fact that's it a civilised world he had thought it probably won't be something dangerous, so he just packed light and didn't bring any heavy ordinance:
Oh who wrong he was as not long after they landed on the planet an incident occurred.
Apparently word has it that the Cerberus operative's father has hired mercenaries to retrieve her Twin sister, who Miranda using her Cerberus connections kept hidden from her father.
The Spartan really didn't care about the family problems of the Lawson family, but the problem is that the mercenaries haven't taken action yet so the local law enforcements can't take action as they haven't broken the law yet.
Unfortunately a certain red head isn't too keen on letting the local law enforcers handle the matter and volunteers to guard operative Lawson's sister as she's being relocated by Cerberus.
And of course when Shepard decided to stick her nose into this matter it naturally dragged the Spartan into as well as he's contracted to aid her.
This naturally mildly irritated the Spartan as Shepard herself personally told him that her goal was to stop the Collectors and the Reapers, he had expected to fight some powerful alien menace and take part in some family squabble.
B312 fail to see how settling Operative Lawson's personal matter would relate to stopping the Collectors or the Reapers.
Had this been the military they would have been reprimanded already, they can't just deploy military assets to settle personal matters.
Try as Shepard might to convince the Spartan that this was all for a greater cause of stopping the Collectors and to an extension, the Reapers. The Spartan was not buying any of that nonsense.
Sighs
Even so B312 sighs as he begrudgingly accepts. (The Spartan loses some loyalty to Shepard)
Later at the Cargo Areas
Suffice to say it wasn't a big surprise that he found himself along with Shepard and Miranda riding a flying car and being shot at by mercenaries.
Ping Ping Ping Ping
A string of pinging sounds rang out inside the skycar as mass effect rounds kept hitting it.
Once they got close enough he could vaguely hear someone from the mercenary side yell "hold fire! I said hold fire damn it!"
The rain of mass effect rounds eventually trickles into both Ian's before you know it the skycar made an ungraceful rough landing.
Once landed the Cerberus Operative hops out the hole ridden vehicle fearlessly.
"Since you're not firing yet I trust that you know who I am" She said as proceeds forward
"Yeah, they said you'd be in the car. You're the bitch that kidnapped our boss's little girl" saids the mercenary who seems to be the leader.
"Kidnapped? This doesn't involve you. I suggest you take your men and go" The Cerberus kidnapper replies.
"Think you got it all line up huh?" The merc said mockingly before continuing "Captain Enyala's already moving in on the kid. She knows about Nilet. He won't be helping you"
"I'll give you one chance to leave" Shepard tries to intimidate the enemy.
"Captain Enyala ordered us to give you one chance to walk away, this whole time we've been talking my men have been lining up shots." He gestures the mercs behind him
"When I say the word. My men will unleash hell on your squad. So I suggest you walk away nicely " Instead of the one hand out an ultimatum, Shepard is the facing an ultimatum instead.
Foolish meddling and foolish planing lead to the current situation.
This is one of the reasons why B312 prefers working alone, had he been working alone then he would have never been in this situation in the first place.
He could have easily resolved this right at it's source if he has to, all it takes to finish this just to kill their boss (Henry Lawson), without the one paying the bills the rest will solve itself.
Right now the impression the Spartan has for this supposedly "legendary" hero is... shall we say not all that good.
Anyways Shepard seemingly irritated grabs hold of the mercenary leader who was confidently making threats right up her face and broke the merc's neck.
Snap
With the snap the merc leader falls to the ground lifelessly.
Suffice to say a firefight naturally ensued.
Shepard and Miranda dives for cover as a hail of mass effect rounds rains down on them from the enraged Eclipse mercenaries.
Suffice to say as soon the the fight brook out the Spartan reacted quickly as his quickly dashed over to the side near the shipping containers just beyond the vision of the mercenaries.
The Spartan then swiftly leaps/climbs over the shipping containers, dashing forward as soon as he got on top of the shipping containers.
The Spartan dashes forward before leaping off the edge of the stacks of shipping containers right into the middle of the mercenaries.
Splatter
The half ton Spartan lands right into a mercenary killing it in the process before lunging at a nearby mercenary, punching the poor surprise mercenary on the head.
Snap
The powerful lung coupled with a punch from a Spartan easily snaps the neck of the poor mercenary.
Suffice to say the mercs were totally unprepared for when the Spartan jumps down from the cargo containers that were stacked 4 stories high.
The Spartan wastes no time in dispatching the 3rd mercenary by throwing a right the Salarian face.
Tshunk
The knife easily bypasses the kinetic barriers and embedded itself deeply into the Salarian's skull. (I'm sure most of the Mass Effect fans already know that mass effect shields doesn't block melee weapons)
Suffice to say the rest of the mercenaries within the cargo area were swiftly dealt with.
By the time the Shepard and Miranda finally manages to get their slow ass moving the Spartan already cleared out the mercs within the cargo area and is already retrieving his knife from the salarian mercenary's skull.
"Area clear" B312 said as the motion tracker shows that all nearby enemies has been dealt with.
"Well... That was quick" Shepard said looking at the dead mercs around.
--chapter end--
I'll end it here for now, next time we'll continue on the other half of Miranda's loyalty mission.
