My plans with the story:
-Why is writing the next chapter taking so long:
I REALLY wanna flesh out the story before finishing it, I want as few mistakes and plot holes as I can keep and it's a lot more difficult than you know. I'm also trying to do a weird mix of cultural storytelling that uses elements of Japanese Manga with Western Writing, I LOVE Beastars and I want the story to stay as true to its attributes as I can. The last thing I'm focusing on is pacing, I wanna make sure it flows naturally and it's drastically different from the other stories I'm telling because this one is more story/drama focused rather than Humor/Action (Like Doom & Hazbin Hotel) So I'm really trying on this one and I totally understand if I don't nail it and Apologize in advance.
-Characters
I was originally going to have the original main cast and just a few new additions (Aki, Sarah, Chimera and a couple of others) but then I contemplated on friends Aki might've made along the way, who they are, what they'd do for their hybrid friend, etc. and I ultimately came up with a mix of the 701 boys and a new kind of group that has elements of varying cliques in the original story. I also was going to refer to them as "The Odd Pack" which you'll find out why soon enough. And unfortunately I fell in love with them, I don't wanna just toss this idea into the trash and leave it for the garbage man, I really like the characters I came up with, their personalities, their potential and most importantly, their interactions. So expect more characters in future chapters and for the growth of "The Odd Pack" and how they find their new members.
-Story
I want to finalize the story before going too far into it because I-again-want it to run smooth and fluid. I also am trying my damn near hardest to tell the story, jokes, ideas of fun moments, character arcs, redemptions and so on but not overdo the story. I personally dislike it when it takes a year for someone to start and finish a story and it'll most likely turn out that way if I have too many chapters, so I'm gonna try and succinct them so they don't waste anyone's time. (Though I might have a "Lives under the Beastars" where it's just Filler material for people who just like these characters and their interactions with one another.)
-Chapters
I originally intended to have 12 (Anime episodes) but I realized that I already made the first 3 chapters so short that it won't be able to convey the story properly without it being just rushed and pointless, so I considered doing what I called "The Manga Version of episodes" where I basically do 47 chapters (Like number of Manga volumes it took to tell the same story as Season 1) but I considered it WAY too many and settled on a happy medium of 25-30 chapters.
-Designs and Descriptions
I REALLY wanna do my best at describing the characters and environments but I might ultimately just draw them out and post them on my DeviantArt Page and tell you guys where you can find them. I'm not really bragging about my design (Because God knows there's NOTHING to brag about my shitty drawings) as much as I wanna help give a face to the cast I made and I really wanna just draw them out (Literally).
-Future Potential
I have NO IDEA if this will be the final story of this Section of Beastars I'll do (I already have plans for the original cast and some OC's I plan on including for another story entirely (Taking place somewhere between the episodes in Season 2)) but I have contemplated a "If I make a '2nd Season' of this story, what would it be about?" and I'm still contemplating exactly what it would be, but I do have a couple of ideas. I also wanna say that it is VERY unlikely that when this story finishes, that we won't see anymore of these characters in any future project. I really love Aki and Sarah and the friends they'll make so I'll use whatever Excuse I can to write more about them and whatever adventures they may have.
