Chapter 4 Family on Trial

In Fairy Tail, today was a big day. Not just for a job well done but one of the biggest fights to ever happen in the guild, a battle between two Dragon Slayers. Natsu being Natsu asked or rather demanded in his own way to Alex on having a battle which the Water Dragon Slayer agreed.

However, the fight never happened as the Rune Knights came and took Alex & Erza to the council who wanted to put them on trial much to everyone's shock and even more when the pair agree to do. Nova wasn't happy but calm down after her parents talk to her and whisper important facts to her which she calms down and stayed with Mira until they return.

Alex and Erza had a good idea on why the Magic Council wants to put them on trial, a fake one to show they are in charge and a good number of them are out. Just fools and only a few earned the family's respect.

Before Alex could enter the room, he noticed that his wife wasn't with him and soon glared when seeing a familiar blue-haired mage talking to Erza which caused him narrowed his eyes more.

"Oh no, you don't."

"I do hope you won't mention that or your daughter will be seeing me soon," The member of the Magic Council who is named Sigerain treated but became a big mistake.

"I don't care if you are a member of the council and a good number of the members are fools in the council...but if you ever come near or use my family...I will end you. Member of the Magic Council be damned," Alex said, glaring at Sigerain which made him felt a strong pulse of fear, surprising him and back off.

Alex kept glaring at Sigerain as he and Erza leave the shaking member of the council behind to the meeting room. The two know that they won't really be too friendly in the future and an interesting battle will happen.

"You didn't have to do that," Erza said, not that she minds and would have done the same thing if her daughter, her husband, or anyone she cares was targeted or harmed anyway.

"I know but no one will harm my family, Erza. I promise you that," Alex said with kindness in his voice, being calm now with his mate by his side and happy.

Erza smiled and hold onto Alex before they head to the fake trail, not before stealing a quick kiss between each other, and smiled as they enter the room. This should be quick, I hope.

Time Skip

"Now with said and trail coming to an end. We can have...," A member of the Magic Council said but was cut when a certain pink-haired idiot came barging in and shouting like a mad one.

We see Natsu coming in and barging in like a mad idiot that made everyone shock of such an idiot while Alex's eyebrow twitched and was up to here with his brother's actions.

"That's it!" Alex said before having his right hand out and summoned blue rune mark, summoning water out of nowhere and trapping his idiotic brother in a water bubble.

Natsu kept shouting in his imprisonment before Alex started spinning the water bubble which caused the Fire Dragon Slayer to scream in pure torture as motion sickness was getting to him.

The Water Dragon Slayer sighed and hoped this brother would learn his lesson but he won't. That's Natsu for you.

"Apologies on that," Alex said with a small bow to a few he respected in the Magic Council.

"It's no trouble and we were ending the trail anywhere. Alex and Erza are clear. End of trial," A member of the council said who was surprising a female mage wizard and only not using hologram magic for this meeting but in person and good friend to Alex.

The only female member of the Magic Council is a pale-skinned woman with dark purple hair and brown eyes with some red in them. She has a rather voluptuous figure, and she wears a long revealing dress, sporting a striped pattern to her uniform. This was Ultear Milkovich.

The other members of the Magic Council left while leaving Alex, Erza, Ultear, and traped Natsu in the room with some Rune Knights outside the room.

"I will deal with Natsu," Erza said as she matches to her brother-in-law and her eyes showed the promise of pain.

"Try not to harm him too much, Erza," Alex said, having an idea what was going to happen.

"No promises," Erza replied as she cracked her knuckles and popped the bubble to get her hands onto the idiot that needs a lesson.

Alex sighed while rubbing the back of his head, blocking out the noise of his brother calling for him as his wife beats him up.

"And he wonders why he's not an S-Class Mage," Alex commented.

"It can't be helped. Thank you for dealing with Natsu before things could enter into a more bad state and a clear way of dealing with your brother by the way," Ultear remarked.

"True. While I can power through my weakness, my brother still has a long way to go, and is easy to create a water bubble," Alex said, causing Ultear to giggled at that.

"How much have you power through your motion sickness?" Ultear asked.

"W-well, I don't like to talk about it," Alex replied to his embarrassment as the black-haired beauty was close to him.

Ultear smiled and said, "You are a really good friend, Alex."

Alex smiled on that and was true as he was fine Ultear to be more level-minded and enjoyed than the idiots in the council.

"You have pretty interesting allies over the time in Fairy Tail," Ultear commented.

"True, some stranger than others I will admit but is never a dull moment and lights up the moment around the guild," Alex said.

"I heard rumors on that. And also, where do I stand in your list of close ones?" Ultear asked, now being more closer to the blue-haired dragon slayer who was surprised by the sudden question.

However before Alex could answer that, a cough was heard and showed Erza was behind them with a neutral expression on her face while the background showed Natsu in the ground with smoke coming out of his head.

"Am I interrupting something, Alex, Miss Ultear?" Erza asked while crossing her arms.

Ultear just smiled, seeing the redhead was jealous, and decided to tease more into that.

"No, nothing, for now, Erza. I believe that would be all for the day. You two have a nice evening and talk Natsu back with you," Ultear said.

Before leaving, Ultear came forward and give Alex a small kiss on the cheek, surprising him with a blush on his face and Erza's eyebrow twitching on that. The black-haired smirked on that before leaving with a sway to her hips, giving a show for the dragon slayer to enjoy and get the redhead in more of a mood.

Before Alex could say a word, he started to grunt in pain as Erza dragged Alex away by the cheek and was not in the best mood at the moment. She was very jealous, won't admit and can tell that things are getting a bit out of hand by this. Mira and Cana were one thing but more like Ultear and gods know how more got the redhead thinking deeply on that.

"I...I need more time to think this through," Erza thought as she dragged her husband and brother-in-law with her back home. She had a feeling that she would need to make a choice soon one day and just hope it would be the right one. But now, she wants to see her daughter and spend time with her husband too.
