Hello again! I won't waste anymore time and just get on with the update! Hope you enjoy! :)

The following week on Saturday evening.

(Sheen's POV)

I just got to Libby's to pick her up and meet up with Carl and Brittnay at Retroland.

Which is sweet!

I've been looking forward to this since Libby told us her dad was able to hook us up with discount tickets. The Halloween extravaganza that Retroland has every year is crazy good.

They deck the whole place out, have staff dressed up in crazy costumes, haunted houses, and every ride gets something added to it.

And the SUGAR!

Last year I almost got Red Dye number 5 overload and it was… AWESOME!

And this time since Libby and I are together and I'm not a total choke artist with her anymore… maybe something might happen if we go on the cable cars alone.

Either way, I'll be with the coolest chica there.

I got right up to the Folfax's door and was about to ring the doorbell until my pointer finger felt like it cramped up and I… stopped.

I grit my teeth and felt like punching myself as I started almost yelling at myself, "C'mon! Stop choking! Be a man!"

Finally I chilled out and straightened up and rang the doorbell without even thinking and I heard footsteps for a second as the door opened.

C'mon Sheen, just chill. Libby'll get the door and then you'll get the heck outta here. I mean, it's not like he's gonna… ah, dang it!

Her dad was standing there and his eyes looked kinda normal for a second before they almost narrowed once he saw me.

It was dead silent as he crossed his arms and kept almost staring me down.

Look, I'd never admit it to anyone, but… Mr. Folfax kinda freaks the crap outta me. Then again the guy's pretty much never liked me for as long as I can remember. I swear, if he had heat vision, he'd probably have melted my head by now like Robo-fiend's ion ray from episode 38.

But screw it! I wasn't about to let him know any of that!

He can look at me like that all he wants, it's not going to stop me!

But right as I got the backbone to say something and open my mouth… I choked.

CRAP!

I swear his eyes looked like they were almost shooting knives at me at this point.

Ah… man…

I gulped and rubbed the back of my neck, feeling like a total wimp… and like my tongue was gonna fall out, "H-hey Mr. Folfax, h-how's it going? Eh… nice haircut?"

My stomach felt like it was being choked out by a wrestler at this point as he just let out a long drawn out breath through his nose as he kept staring me down.

Eh, yup! He still totally hates my guts.

Right as I felt like I was going to hurl, Libby slipped past her dad and looked at me and smiled as she said, "Hey Sheen, ready to go?"

Then before I could even say anything, she gave her dad a quick side hug and said, "Bye dad! See ya later."

After that she grabbed my hand before I could do anything else… and I wasn't gonna question it! She practically saved my butt from almost getting my ass handed to me by her dad.

But… seriously?! What's the guy's deal?! What did I do?!

({No POV})

Mr. Folfax continued to stand on the front stoop of their house as he watched Sheen's van drive off and disappear around the corner.

His previously rigidly displeased disposition was slowly but surely subsiding as his expression went from angry and displeased to almost confused yet pensive.

Eventually he let out a long sigh and scratched the back of his head, thinking back to something he hasn't thought about in years, but the most recent events gave him almost a sense of déjà vu.

Mr. Folfax was in the living room watching a basketball game on TV.

Being a former college football and basketball player himself, he was locked in as he watched one of the guards take a 3-point shot.

But right as the shot went off, so did the doorbell at the front door.

He quirked up an eyebrow, trying to think of who could possibly be there and further expressed his confusion as he questioned under his breath, "What the?..."

He got up and went to the door and opened it, looking around and seeing no one at first, thinking it was just someone ding-dong ditching for a prank… until he looked down.

At the bottom of the steps on the walkway in his usual Ultra Lord shirt and mask, was a then 13 year old Sheen Estevez.

Mr. Folfax tilted his head, wondering what Sheen was doing there.

Though being very good and long time friends with Sheen's father Eduardo, it was no secret that Sheen himself was still not exactly his favorite among his various friend's children.

He had no time to respond as Sheen just stood there with his usual grin and ADHD energy about him as he started, "Hey Mr. Folfax, is Libby home?"

He gave Sheen an even more confused look and quirked up and eyebrow as he started, "Um, yes... Why?"

Without even hesitating, Sheen immediately responded, motioning behind him with his thumb, "Uh, I'm taking her out for Valentine's Day and she told me to get her at 2."

It took everything in Mr. Folfax's whole being to not immediately burst out laughing at what Sheen just said, thinking Sheen must have been under delusions of grandeur.

A date? And with his outgoing, calm, cool, and collected 11 going on 12 year old daughter?

This had to have been the best joke he had ever heard in his whole life.

He grinned in amusement and started, still trying to contain his laughter, "Oh, do you now?" Sheen just tilted his head and said, equally confused as he looked, "Uh… Yeah?"

Mr. Folfax smirked as he turned his head back into the house and called out, almost like he was oddly eager to see what to him might as well have been the punchline of some kind of a hilarious horrible and sad joke, "Libby! Someone's here for you!"

"One sec!" She called out, sounding like she was coming down from upstairs.

Eventually Libby got to the door as her dad gave her a slight grin and started, "Looks like your date's here, honey."

Libby hardly seemed phased as she started, "Oh hey Sheen, ready to go?"

"What?" Mr. Folfax sputtered in absolute confusion as his eyes widened in shock as Libby made her way down the front steps to Sheen as he started, in his usual enthusiastic and over the top tone of voice, "Yes, yes! Wait, let me think… YES! Follow me chica!"

Libby just giggled a little in amusement and rolled her eyes slightly as Sheen just continued to grin at her as Mr. Folfax continued to look on at the situation as if he was questioning everything in his absolute and total confusion.

Right then Sheen took a red cloth out of his pocket that looked like a work towel his dad would have used on jobs but cleaner as he proceeded to put it over her eyes and put his hands on her shoulders as Libby let out a laugh and started, sounding both amused and confused, "Sheen, what are you doing?"

"Just follow my lead, my lady! I got this." Sheen responded as he started leading her along as Libby looked like she just gave in and was smiling a little and laughing quietly to herself as she just went with it, but definitely didn't look like she was 'disliking' the situation.

Meanwhile, Mr. Folfax took note of it as well and clearly saw that what he saw wasn't what he thought as well.

It didn't seem like a prank or a joke or anything to that degree at all.

As much as he was almost paralyzingly shocked at what he just witnessed, even he had to admit that the situation he was seeing was exactly what it was described as by Sheen from the start.

Libby was going along with Sheen in whatever juvenile variation of a 'Valentine's Day date' he seemed to have in mind and that his daughter actually seemed to be more than willing to go hang out with him, and just 'him' it seemed.

He continued to stand there and look on at the situation and look as if he was having an existential crisis at what he just witnessed.

Present day; later that evening at the Retroville Gala

(Cindy's POV)

We wove through the crowd in the ballroom until eventually we got to this standing cocktail table.

I set my clutch down as Jimmy put a hand on my shoulder as he said, smiling and me still not getting over how handsome he looked in a suit, "I'm just going to grab us some drinks. Any requests?... You know that they'd at least legally be able to give us."

We both let out a laugh as I said, "I'm okay with water."

He smiled at me one more time as he said, "Okay, be right back."

I pulled out my phone since I thought I heard that I got a text on the way in. I looked at my notifications and saw Libby texted me. I told her Jimmy asked me to go to the Retroville Gala so she was checking in.

Sure it's no 'school dance' in terms pf fun but seeing Jimmy dressed in formal attire… I'm definitely not complaining. I was about to respond and was almost so zoned in on my phone that I hardly noticed something.

Sure there was a crowd around me, but it was like I felt a presence. Almost a feeling like someone was literally standing right behind me.

Then it was like an almost icy and unsettling chill went down my spine as my blood ran cold in dread and shock as I heard an all too familiar posh tone of voice say, sounding almost sly, "Hello Cynthia, long time no see."

No...

Okay, to any avid JN fan, the final line of dialogue is probably a dead give away on who I am introducing next from the franchise. But, believe me… MUCH more is on the way for this particular character. ;) Haha. Anyway, I hope you also enjoyed the whole conflicting interaction between Sheen and Mr. Folfax… and how this apparently has been 'ongoing' since that first time Sheen and Libby had their adolescent version of a Valentine's Day date we all saw in the show. And also how it was apparently enough to make Mr. Folfax have an existential crisis to see a girl as cool as his daughter seeming like she was actually 'liking' and wanting to hang out with a guy like Sheen just the two of them seemed almost impossible. At least impossible to Mr. Folfax anyway. Lol. XD I always felt like this was a missed opportunity in the show, especially in this holiday special. I always liked how this show focused not only on Jimmy and his friends, but also their families and family interactions with their parents. And especially since it was implied that Libby was picked up by Sheen before he walked her blind folded across the neighborhood to the Ultra Lord shrine he made her… I would have just loved to see the Folfax's and Mr. Estevez's reactions to that whole 'situation'. Just my opinion though! Haha. Anyway, thank you so much for reading and constructive feedback is always very much appreciated.

Stay classy all!
