Chapter 4
Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters JK Rowling does.
Hello! This is chapter is my new way of writing, so I hope you enjoy it, if you see things I should fix please let me know.
To the review that said my writing is "not up to snuff" well you are completely right, my writing and punctuation can be terribly bad and I apologize. I probably am the worst person to be writing this story, but it was my idea so um here we are. I tried a lot harder with this chapter, so I hope all of you enjoy.
September 9, 1991
If he had to be completely honest he would say that it was nice, but at the same time miserable. He wouldn't lie, being able to have his own room that was a secret from every other student and possibly the professors was cool especially when the room has all the books you'll ever need to become a great wizard. Still, though there was a part of him that hated this whole arrangement, not being able to have friends in his house and not even being allowed in his dorm room, it was utterly depressing and he hated it. In the end, he guessed that it was for the best even if he hated it, he didn't want to be friends with the kids in his house that were his year they(at least the ones he had met and spoken to) were horrible to him and treated him like garbage.
He slowly raised himself off his four-post bed and rubbed his eyes in irritation, he always hated having to get up for the day even if he was excited for the day, hell he sometimes had problems getting up for Christmas even though that was one of his favorite days of all time. He didn't know why but sleeping and eating were just two things he utterly craved and enjoyed; they were a huge part of his life and he didn't know what he would do without food and sleep.
His thoughts were circling just like his vision as he rubbed his eyes, he slowly pushed himself off his bed and made his way over to the table in the middle of the lightly lit room. On the topic of the room, he just had to say it was bloody fantastic! It could sense when he was waking up and it would turn the lights up when he was up, it was a perfect room for him to stay in, it was peaceful, cozy, and it was growing on him.
As he sat down in the chair at the end of the table he pulled the book on wandless magic in front of him "wandless magic and where to start" he opened it up to the first page and started to read
'Wandless magic is a very difficult form of magic where you use your body as a conduit and not your wand. This form of magic takes a lot of patience and persistence. You can not give up when it gets frustrating, because it will. To start learning wandless magic you wanna be in a state where you can sense magic completely and you can imagine the desired effect completely. A good way to do this is to close your eyes and breath long slow breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth for 30-40 seconds and then to try to sense everything around you, including your magical core. If you can feel your core then you are ready to use it as a conduit. The first spells to learn are the wandless variation of the levitating spell and the summoning charm'
Ron mentally noted 'Wingardium Leviosa' but was a little stuck on the summoning charm. He would have to look into that charm, if it was what he thought it was and it could summon things from any place to him or from a long distance to him then that would be a bloody useful spell.
He pushed the book away from himself as he closed his eyes and tried to find his magical core. He slowly breathed in through his mouth, feeling the cool air fill his lungs going past his lips, over his tongue, and down his throat. Then he exhaled out his nose, he again felt the cool air pass through his nostrils. He did this for 30 seconds when he finally felt something, it was slight and Barely visible to him but it was there. He took lighter breaths as he tried his best to sense around him and sense for magic, magic like his core, and then that's when he felt it, magic. He tried to draw the magic closer or try to go closer to it but the more he tried the harder it got to remain in this state of bliss and awareness, albeit minor awareness. He tried to swim closer to this magic but it suddenly became too much for him as he let go and realized he was still sitting in the chair but now he was soaked in sweat.
He got up and made his way to get a towel and his robes for the day. He had never really had anything new or nice to have for himself, his robes were secondhand and so was everything else he owned. There were times when he felt insecure about it, especially when he was constantly called poor by people like Malfoy. In the end, though he didn't care it still meant so much to him when his parents would buy him something no matter what the cost or condition. He folded up his robes and towel and began to make his way out of the secret room to take a shower. He was walking down the halls to the showers with thoughts racing through his mind at 100 miles per hour. What was he going to do with his parents? They wanted to talk, didn't they? They hated him, thought of him as a traitor, as a disappointment...right? He didn't know what to think anymore. The letter had upset him so much and it still did, it had been five days and still no apology letter, though he doubted he would get one.
He entered the shower room and locked the door behind him. He then laid his robes and towel on the counter and began to take his clothes off. As he entered the shower he could feel the hot water hitting his back and it felt so nice. The water at Hogwarts was enchanted to always be warm, you could make it cold but it would never run out of hot water. That was a problem with the burrow especially if you had to go in after Ginny or Percy for some reason both of them took around 30 minutes in the shower and they would end up using up all the hot water and ruining it for the rest of them. Although that isn't a great part about living with his siblings it didn't bother him because although that the time he would be highly frustrated every time he looked back on it he always thought the same thing 'I wouldn't change anything for the world'. He truly loved his family and even at his young age of 11, he knew he would die for his family before he let any of them get hurt. He knew that sounded gruesome or a little dark to be thinking about at such a young age but he didn't care, hell if one of them got hurt or...died he would probably be dead on the inside anyway.
He pulled himself out of the shower and dried himself off with the soft towel he brought and then looked in the mirror. He watched himself in the mirror the whole time he was getting dressed until finally, he was ready to head to the great hall for breakfast. He looked at himself in the mirror for another brief second, his mind still running rampant with thoughts of his disappointed parents, his family, and the old times when his parents were proud of him, he smiled weakly.
"Well Weasley you can do this...they don't hate you….no they don't….they were...or she was..".
Did Dad even approve of the letter? He didn't know but he wanted to find out for some reason, besides Ginny, he was the closest with his father, they used to do a good amount of stuff together when he was younger and even though ever since he turned 7 they stopped and he felt a little neglected he would never forget those precious moments with his father, those moments were he felt more cared for and loved for than any other.
He shook his head and then looked in the mirror again and this time he spoke with confidence.
"you can do this Ron, they love you...at least I hope so...NO! They do love you and you are going to make them proud, Slytherin doesn't define you, You do!".
He smiled wide and left the shower room heading back to the secret room to get his bag with his school supplies and books for the day.
As he sat down for breakfast he eyed all of the food in front of him and he decided just to grab randomly and eat whatever he wanted, he started with four pieces of French toast, then two sandwiches, and then a bowl of oatmeal. As he was eating the oatmeal he heard a voice behind him.
"Mr. Weasley may you come with me".
Ron turned around to see Professor McGonagall looking at him waiting for an answer. What in the world was he needed for? Well, there was only one way to find out so he placed down his spoon and nodded.
"Of course Professor," he said. She smiled a small smile before motioning for him to follow her and so he did. He had no idea where she was leading him but he was following her, they made their journey in silence, his mind still going off with questions until he couldn't keep it to himself anymore.
"Where are we going, Professor?" He asked in a curious tone. She didn't look at him and just kept walking towards their destination.
"Your parents are in the headmasters' office as we speak, discussing with him," she said, still looking ahead. Ron felt his heart clench at the mention of his parents. What were they doing here talking to the headmaster that required me? He really shouldn't have asked himself that as it was painfully obvious what they wanted to discuss. His betrayal, his disgrace, Ronald Weasley the Slytherin, the traitor, the disappointment.
They stopped in front of a stone Gargoyle which was large and had beautiful engraving and carving done to it to make its shape come out as it did. He heard McGonagall say something like a password but it was "Lemon drops" so he really doubted it was a password...but then again if this was the headmasters' office no one would suspect such a childish password as the name of a specific type of candy. Damn, that's genius! Does Dumbledore think everything out?
He watched as the gargoyle slowly rotated revealing a stairway that led upwards. He followed McGonagall up the stairs and to a big brown wooden door which had to be the door to the headmasters' office.
"Please come in Minerva and Ronald" he heard a voice yell from within the room. McGonagall pushed the door open and walked in with Ron following close behind. As soon as he entered he not only caught the smell of cookies that seemed to engulf his lungs and make him immediately calmer but he also noticed his parents and Ginny who were staring at him as he entered. His mom had red puffy eyes and a tear-stricken face. While his dad almost looked annoyed at his mother which was...odd. As soon as Ginny saw him she ran up to hug him.
"Ron! I missed you so much! It's so good to see you!" Ron smiled down at Ginny as he hugged her tightly.
"I missed you too Gin, I can't wait till you're here next year we are gonna have so much fun together," Ron said with excitement. Ginny smiled up at him before stepping away from him and smacking him twice.
"Ow! Ginny what was that for?!" Ron yelled as he rubbed his arm. Ginny looked like she was trying to be very strict with him but she just looked funny during her whole face-changing show.
"You know why Ron! You promised to send me a letter, and it's been 8 days and no letter!" Ginny said. Ginny wasn't faking her and anger and that made Ron cringe guiltily. Ron remembered his promise to her, he felt like crap. How did he forget? He had to make sure he wouldn't forget anymore.
"Sorry Gin...but don't worry I mega super duper promise to send you a letter every week from now on," Ron said his voice quiet and soothing, he was trying to calm her down. Ginny smiled at that.
"You better…." she said, then she smirked " or else" as she said that she cracked her knuckles which made him laugh in turn, he hugged her again and then looked to his parents.
"Hey, Dad...Mom" he greeted them as he sat down in a chair McGonagall told him to sit in Ginny deciding not to sit next to Mom and Dad again sat down next to Ron. Dumbledore was sitting behind his desk with a smile on his face which was directed towards Ron and a twinkle in his eyes that made it impossible for Ron not to smile. His Mom and Dad were sitting opposite Dumbledore and they too were now looking at him. He and Ginny sat only a few feet away from his parents.
"Uh, why am I here headmaster?" Ron said. Dumbledore smiled at Ron with such kindness it kind of confused him but he didn't question it.
"Well Ronald your parents are here to discuss your house sorting and why you are in Slytherin and not Gryffindor" Ron seemed to deflate a little at that even though he had been expecting it, it still hurt to be remembered what his mom and maybe his dad thought of him.
" We just don't understand Dumbledore" his father spoke "we just don't get why he is in Slytherin" he then looked to Ron's mom "not that I have a problem with Ron being in Slytherin, just want to know why" Dumbledore nodded at this and then summoned the sorting hat in front of all of the people in his office.
"Hello sorting hat, we just have some curious parents. They want to know why you put Ronald here in Slytherin and not Gryffindor?" The hat perked up then opened its mouth
"Ah yes, Ronald Weasley! I was quite ready to put him into Gryffindor as he is much braver than most of the new Gryffindors this year...but he has incredible amounts of ambition and cunningness that can be brought out by a moment like this you see, I saw how determined Ronald could be and I saw that if he was put into Slytherin more or likely one of his family members would surely not be happy and say ...what did they say Ronald?" the hat turned to look at Ron after his question.
Ron looked at the sorting hat, then his parents, then back to the hat "That I'm a traitor and a disappointment" Ron said quietly. The hat seemed to be grinning at that as it turned to look at his parents again.
"You see because of what you said Ronald used his determination and 'don't give up' attitude to become the best wizard he can" the hat turned to McGonagall "how is he doing in classes Minerva"
McGonagall stood up straighter and then addressed the hat and Ron's parents "he has been doing exceptionally well, he was able to transfigure a toothpick to a needle on the first try in class" his Mom seemed to be shocked at that while his Dad just seemed proud. Then out of nowhere his mom broke down in tears and ran over and caught Ron in a huge hug
"I'm so sorry Ronnie, I didn't mean it, I was just overwhelmed and it wasn't your father at all. I didn't even talk to him before I sent the letter. I know you're not a traitor, you're a Weasley and you're proud to be I know. And we are so very proud of you Ron, please forgive me I'm so sorry" she cried while hugging him tightly. Although he wasn't over it completely he couldn't stay mad at his parents as he hugged his mom back and whispered in her ear
"It's ok Mom, I forgive you," he said softly. She cried with joy, while this was happening he hadn't noticed that his father and sister had joined the hug and that the sorting hat had gone back to its shelf. He didn't know how he felt about everything yet, he was happy that his mom apologized and was guilty about what she had said in that terrible letter, though in the back of his mind those words were still floating around attacking him and irritating him constantly since he got the letter. He had to forget about that stupid letter and its stupid words. He kept telling himself that over and over again, it didn't work so he just hugged his Mom tighter as she cried.
His Mom reluctantly let go of him and went to sit back down, his Dad and Ginny did the same. Ron turned to look at the headmaster again and noticed that he was smiling at the whole family with a bright twinkle in his eye. Did he know his Mom was gonna apologize? It seems like he knew this was gonna happen….how? Before Ron could think about that thought any longer Dumbledore interrupted his thoughts.
"Isn't love beautiful!" He said cheerfully "it always makes me smile to see it in a true, pure form" it seemed impossible but he smiled wider at the family in front of him. Ron was confused but he didn't dare question Dumbledore. It was Dumbledore! What would he be on to question a man like him about? Dumbledore looked at a clock on the wall of his office then looked back to Ron's parents " well Ronald here must go back down to be on time for classes, I'm glad this was all worked out. A family shouldn't fight". Ron's parents nodded at Dumbledore and then stood up, Ginny hugged Ron before walking over to their parents. Ron walked over and gave his parents a goodbye hug and then left the headmaster's office.
Although it was a slightly confusing conversation between his parents and Dumbledore he was still grateful and relieved that his Mom didn't think badly of him for being sorted into Slytherin. He was sure that in the future he would understand why Dumbledore spoke so fondly of love, he acted as if it was the most powerful and amazing thing ever. Is it? He loved his family and would do anything for them, but does that mean it's the most powerful thing, he wasn't sure. Did it only mean love within your family or some other type of love? Was he just imagining Dumbledore a fondness of the word? He was at a loss again and just hoped he would figure it out sometime soon.
Ron wasn't sure why but it seemed that classes just seemed to fly by for him, he had only been to classes a few days but it just felt easy to get through them, and he was doing it with over average skill. He had been staying up to midnight every single night to work on magic, his wand was still a pain and each first-year spell he learned that would take him around 2 hours to get down would take an average first year with a capable wand, not even 30 minutes. It frustrated him and he wanted his own wand, but he also knew there was no way for him to get a new wand. Sometimes the fact that his family was poor hurt Ron a lot, but he never let it get him down, that was until Ron was given his wand, his brother's wand. He had heard stories from each of his brothers about when they got their wand from Ollivanders and how amazing the shop was, but most of all the feeling, the warmth, the comfort, the power of feeling a wand that was your match pulse magic through you and have it warm you. Ron envied that feeling, he wanted to feel that feeling, but alas all he got was his brother's old wand that didn't want to cooperate half the time he used it.
Most of the time he didn't let his wands and his horrible match bother him, but when it acted like shite during class, well it was embarrassing. He was in charms and they were going to a spell he had done several times and he had done it correctly then, but all of sudden his wand just sucked and it made him want to yell and scream in anger. His wand wouldn't even release any magic and it felt cold and limp in his hands, it felt useless.
"Do you need any assistance, Mr. Weasley?" Flitwick asked in a confused tone, it seemed he had no idea why not even a single bit of magic would escape Ron's wand. Ron looked Flitwick in the eye and then looked back down to his wand.
"No I'm okay sir, this happens a lot. My wand's not actually my wand. It's my brother's old wand and it just feels lifeless and cold in my hand and half the time it doesn't work at all" Ron said in a low voice so people around couldn't hear him say it. Flitwick looked a little sad for the young boy whose family couldn't even afford to buy him his own wand. Flitwick then nodded and walked away leaving Ron with his irritating wand.
Ron tried for another 15 minutes before completely giving up for the moment. He wanted to punch or kick something. Ahhh! He was so annoyed. Why did he have to have such a stupid wand? Why? Why him? He knew why, he just didn't wanna say it out loud and risk sounding ungrateful because he was grateful, just a little disappointed he couldn't get his own wand. He wondered if Ginny would get her own wand. Oh, who is he kidding, of course, she is, she's his Mom's little girl, her little angel, he would bet anything she gets her own wand. Ron's mind occupied thoughts like this a lot of the time, his insecurities got the better of him most of the time and he had to go do something to forget about everything and focus on one thing, like magic, quidditch, and surprisingly homework. He always hated doing work and homework wasn't any exception, but for some reason when he let his insecurities get the better of him and he needed a way to cool down and forget about everything, homework worked well.
He hadn't had much homework yet, only about two assignments per class so he finished up homework pretty quickly and would move onto the magic. His magical ability, especially with his shitty wand wasn't that great. He still tried spells but it would take a good while for even 2nd year spells, so most of the time he would just read through the countless books at his disposal.
Ron was thinking about which spell he should try next as he had just got down the leg locking curse the previous night when he heard the bell ring. He gathered up all of his notes and made his way out of his charms class. Charms class was his last class before lunch so he made his way down to the great hall with his bag slung over his shoulder and his green Slytherin tie shining in the light of the sun that shone above the courtyard as he passed through. He was deep in his pool of thoughts when he heard laughing coming from directly behind him.
"You think anyone's gonna listen to you! Ha! Don't make me laugh. You're just an annoying friendless know-it-all!" He turned when he heard the Gryffindor he knew as Seamus Finnigan insult someone. He saw all of the Gryffindors besides Harry and Neville laughing at Seamus's comment. In the center of the group of Gryffindors, the one being insulted was Hermione. Ron felt his blood boil and his temper ignite as he saw Hermione on the brink of tears as the kids laughed at her and yelled amongst the laughter.
"Friendless Know-it-all!"
"Friendless!"
"Friendless! No wonder, she's so annoying it's painful!"
At the last comment, Ron ran up beside Hermione his temper flaring so hard it hurt. He didn't know Hermione that well, but what he did know of her through the few conversations they had was that she was a brilliant, kind witch and that sometimes, yes she could be a little bossy, but she just wanted to help people. Ron was sure his eyes were bulging with anger and his face was redder than it had ever been. What made him the maddest was the fact that no one was saying or doing anything to stop this, the only two not laughing were Harry and Neville but they still weren't doing anything, why?!
Ron took a hold of Hermione's hand and put himself right in front of Finnigan anger seething through his teeth and ears.
"You dare speak of her like that! How dare you!" Ron then looked around at the whole group who had stopped laughing "ALL OF YOU!" Ron was so mad he could probably punch a hole in a concrete wall. "You all should be ashamed of yourselves, you can call Hermione annoying and friendless, but I'll tell you two things. One, all of you would be lucky to have a friend like Hermione! She is a smart and kind person who just wants to help all of you! And two, she is not friendless, I'm her friend and I always will be" he then backed up his hand still holding Hermione's. Everyone had stopped laughing, but they didn't look guilty they looked like if he left right now they would continue laughing and mocking her. He took a few breaths before looking at the group with a more calm but still angry face.
"I don't wanna see any of you insult Hermione ever again! Or so help me I don't know what I'm gonna do!" His anger deflated when he felt Hermione squeeze his hand lightly. He stood up straight showing the whole group that he was taller than all of them, then he walked out of the courtyard still holding Hermione's hand. He led them away from the courtyard and into the castle, as they arrived in a hallway a good amount away from the courtyard he let go of her hand and looked down at her.
"Are you ok?" He asked softly looking into her eyes, he was surprised to see that she didn't have any tears in her eyes anymore and she was...smiling at him? Why what had he done?
"Thank you, Ron, what you did out there.." Hermione stopped herself and looked to the ground "it meant a lot to me...thank you, I couldn't ask for a better friend".
He smiled at her "me neither Hermione, me neither" she looked back up at him beaming. She then seemed to come up with an idea as her eyes lit up.
"Do you wanna study in the library later today after classes? It would be really fun to study and do work with someone else". Ron didn't even have to think about his answer.
"Of course Hermione that sounds amazing!" They smiled at each other as they made their way into the great hall for lunch. Ron was excited now, he hadn't had anyone to call a friend and now he had a great one, he was excited to be able to study and work with someone now.
As they entered the great hall Ron turned to Hermione not wanting to stop talking to her as he did enjoy every conversation they had since the sorting. He was going to ask if she wanted to eat with him at his table when she beat him to it.
"Um, Ron would it be okay if I ate with you at the Slytherin table?" Her voice was almost like a whisper as if she was embarrassed to ask the question.
"That'd be awesome Hermione! C'mon let's go" he said as he led them to the edge of the table where he usually sat to be away from his fellow housemates.
They sat down next to each other and started to gather food on their plates. "So Hermione has anything interesting happening soon?" Ron asked, trying to break the ice after they settled down.
She seemed to be thinking about her answer before a big smile appeared on her face "my birthday's coming up soon, on the 19th!" She said brightly, obviously excited.
Ron smiled at her but felt a little guilty as he wouldn't be able to get her anything as he had no money to spend.
She seemed to understand what he was thinking as she spoke her voice still bright "oh don't worry Ron you don't have to get me anything, you are just finding out about this now, and I've heard that your family doesn't have much money, so don't worry about it" Ron looked at her and then looked down at his plate trying to consider what to do. Then an idea came to mind, it was the best he could do.
"How about this, on your birthday we will do whatever you want if you wanna study we will study if you wanna just talk we will talk, if...I think you get the point" he said looking at her. She smiled even wider at that.
"That's the best present ever Ron thank you so much! I'll have to think about what we're gonna do but I'll figure it out soon," Hermione said as she poured herself some pumpkin juice.
"Hey, Hermione-" Ron spoke but was cut off by a third party's voice.
"Wow, weasel! I knew you were a low life but I never thought you'd stoop as low as this" Ron and Hermione both turned to see Malfoy and his goons sneering at them. "Seriously weasel what were you thinking bringing her here to sit at this table" Ron wanted to punch Malfoy in his stupid face but it would be 3v1 if he decided to hit Malfoy, and those odds were surely not in his favor.
"I mean c'mon weasel this is the great house of Salazar Slytherin! What were you thinking bringing a filthy mudblood here" Ron's anger exploded and he decided to screw the odds as he punched Malfoy clean in the nose and he heard a satisfying crunch as Malfoy stumbled back blood leaking through his hand which was covering his nose. Crabbe and Goyle immediately grabbed Ron by the collar and hoisted him out of his seat while Hermione gasped in shock at Ron's display of violence.
Before Crabbe or Goyle could lay another finger on Ron Professor Snape appeared behind Ron looking murderous, they both let go of Ron and he tumbled back almost running into Snape. Ron turned around as Crabbe and Goyle helped Malfoy up to bring him to the hospital wing.
Behind Snape were McGonagall and Dumbledore all looking at Ron with disapproving and even angry looks.
"Mr. Weasley what were you thinking!" Demanded Snape only anger in his voice. Ron looked at each Professor with no sign of guilt or remorse on his face.
"I apologize for making a scene in the great hall in front of the school, but I do not apologize for hitting Malfoy, he deserved it". The professors looked somehow more mad at that.
"And what would he have done to deserve a broken nose, what could he have said to warrant that, did he insult you? Do you let people get under your skin that easily?" Snape demanded.
Ron looked Snape in the eye "no sir, I don't care what others say about me, he could insult me all he wants and I wouldn't care, but he insulted my friend Hermione, and no it wasn't some simple insult. He called her a mu-" Ron stopped, not wanting to say the word himself. Luckily it seemed that each Professor understood what he meant and their looks of anger turned into disgust at the word used by a first year. Most shockingly Snape seemed to be the most changed after the revelation of what Malfoy said as all anger and disappointment was out of his voice.
"Mr. Weasley you will have detention with me on the 12th after dinner, other than that you may return to your meal". Ron was shocked and so it seemed was McGonagall but he didn't dare question it as he sat back down beside Hermione and watched the three professors walk away. He seemed to be in the clear. Oh, how wrong he was. Out of nowhere, Hermione started to hit him with one of her books.
"Why did you do that Ron! It was just an insult why did you hit him, he's not worth it!". Ron was started for a second before he recovered.
"No he's not," he said looking her in the eye "but you are" he saw her cheeks become lightly rosy after his comment before she hit him again.
"It was just an insult, why did you hit him!" Ron looked at her again.
"It wasn't just an insult Hermione, he called you a...well you know a...a" Ron didn't want to say it.
"A mudblood" Hermione finished for him. "What is that," she asked curiously.
Ron sighed and rubbed his eyes "it's a slur for muggle-born witches and wizards, it means dirty blood, not pure, filth, or at least that's what people like Malfoy consider you". Ron spoke with disgust at the contempt of people like Malfoy. How dare they act like they should own everything and that they are better than everyone! Hermione frowned at his explanation before smiling at Ron.
"Well, who cares I'm a better witch than he's a wizard anyway" Ron smiled at her and then nodded.
"Yes, you are Hermione".
Ron entered the secret room and sat down at the table, he had just come out of potions and had a couple of hours before his study session with Hermione so he decided to practice more magic.
He inhaled through his nose slowly, the air coming up his nostrils slowly. He then exhaled through his mouth, the air slowly exiting his lips like a wave. He kept breathing in and out, in and out, in and out, in and out until he felt something, something strong. He had felt a little bit of magic this morning but that was it, just a little bit, but right now there was something that was pulling him in. This energy didn't seem anything like the energy or magic he felt in the morning, it felt different...darker. He let it pull him in until it felt like he was holding it and witnessing it. The power and magic was getting hotter and was becoming too much for Ron so he let go and opened his eyes. What he saw when he opened his eyes was that his body was dripping with sweat and that in his hands was the book on the dark arts.
Ron looked all around him before looking down at the book again and opening it up.
Thank you all for reading, Let me know what you think of this chapter. Thank you!
