"Forgive me for appearing this way," Barbara Rose apologized to the Monarch official for having appeared in her naked mole rat form. "But, I was under the assumption I would be speaking with Ishiro as he is more comfortable seeing me in this form, Mr. Coleman, I believe?"

"Dr. Serizawa is currently, ummm, wrapped up in something else, Mayor Rose," the agent replied, stirring in cream with his coffee. "So, you got me instead. A-Also you can just call me Sam. You don't need to be formal."

"Right then," Barbara nodded. "On to our current business; you suggested that Monarch build an outpost in this city."

"More of a containment facility, Mayor Rose," Sam corrected. "We've detected signs of a Titan sleeping right beneath Anima City Harbor and, judging from its readings, it is a doozy."

He passed her a holographic tablet which showcased the Titan's X-Ray studies. Upon retrieving it, Barbara noted how much it seemed to be a mixture of Baragon and a more recently deceased Titan called Gabara which had appeared in the Amazon Basin two years after the Nirvasyl outbreak only to be killed by thermite charges. Looking at the skeleton of the creature, she noted how it shared similarities with spider monkeys and mandrills despite the biological readings labeling it as "reptile"; so, perhaps a reptile/primate hybrid. However, there seemed to be particulate matter which caught her eye.

"There seems to be some kind of particle surrounding the Titan," she commented, handing back the tablet.

"Yes," Sam replied. "Some of the Monarch bigwigs think it might be a type of by-product the Titan gives off in the form of a red powder. They've labeled it as "Red Sand"."

"I see," Barbara nodded. "Is that the reason why Monarch wants to build a containment facility here?"

"That's one of the reasons," Sam replied. "We don't exactly know what kind of effects the Red Sand has on humans. It doesn't seem to affect any Ctarl-Ctarl or any other precursor race, but that could be because of different genetics. We also don't know what kind of effect it might have on Beastkin either."

"Have you run any tests?"

Sam shook his head before sipping his coffee.

"We believe the Red Sand might be some kind of passive defense mechanism much like how Godzilla exudes small doses of radiation."

In other words, no. Barbara thought.

"Another reason is that, should this thing wake up, is that, well," Sam struggled to find the right wording. "Newly awakened Titans have a tendency to bring about natural disasters. One example: when Rodan first emerged from Mt. Kilimanjaro. Her awakening reawakened what was, at the time, a dormant volcano and she wiped out an entire city just by flying over it. Imagine what kind of damage this new Titan could bring about, especially with the Red Sand. I think a Red Sand storm is the last thing Anima City needs after that Nirvasyl outbreak two years ago, especially since we don't exactly know how this will affect humans or Beastkin. Then there's the other elephant in the room."

"That being?"

Sam set his coffee down.

"That being," he replied. "Godzilla has this... ahem, tendency to "greet" any new Titan that's awakened. Mostly by getting them to bow to him, specifically through force."

Barbara nodded. She was quite aware of Godzilla's tendency to subjugate other Titans, even going so far as to killing them such as Hedorah, Dogora, Biollante, Orga, and Margygr if they did not fall in line. If they didn't bow down to the King, then Godzilla didn't see them fit in living in his kingdom. It was, in a way, barbaric, even by Titan standards. But Godzilla wasn't exactly a Titan to be trifled with, and the last thing she wanted was for him to discover Anima City, if he didn't know it was around. She and Shirou Ogami were at least old enough to bear witness to Godzilla's rage across time, even long before his war with mankind officially began in 1954. Not even she believed the Beastkin of the modern age were ready to face his wrath. Maybe it would be best if Monarch built its facility here, even if this Titan were to break free, the humans and Beastkin would at least be given due warning and seek shelter.

"Very well," Barbara replied. "You may build this facility."

Sam stood up excitedly.

"You won't regret this, Mayor Rose," he delightedly commented holding out his hand.

Barbara took the man's hand and shook it.

"I strongly hope not," she replied. "By the way, this Titan, does it have a name?"

"Technically, it has three."

"Three?"

Sam scratched the back of his head. "Our current designation is Titanus Sharanga."

"Sharanga," Barbara asked. "After Vishnu's bow?"

"Yeah."

"And its other names?"

"Well, some call it Sarunga, others call it Salunga. It mostly depends on who you ask."

Yep, say hello to the new kid on the block, in this case, Salunga or, as most people know him, Not-Gabara. Also, yes, I have plans to use the new Kaiju in Singular Point as well.
