Chapter 4: Broken Flask.

Early in the morning, Amity woke up before everyone in the Blight Manor. She checked on her parents and siblings to see if they were still asleep. Then she moved downstairs into the kitchen.

Last night, she brought back some ingredients… from the Night Market. The place where you could buy the most rare and forbidden items in the whole Boiling Isles. Curses, mystical creatures, everything that most people would consider dangerous. Anything you could think so, is for sale in the Night Market.

As Amity turned to face the stove and began to mix those strange ingredients, the twins were right behind the door, peeking on her. They pretended to be asleep, but they clearly heard when she opened their door to check on them.

They both looked at each other, confused and frightened by what was going on in the kitchen. The strange smell, the clear and slimy liquid pouring down from the broken porcelain round shaped flask, the way it cooked and the determined look on Amity's face.

"What the Eff is she making…?" Edric asked Emira who was just as shocked as he was.

"I don't know… it looks kind of disgusting though." Emira couldn't stand the intense smell that was filling the kitchen. They both look at each other one last time as if they were communicating telepathically, deciding on just leaving Amity alone.

Later that day, on the way to Hexside. They kept a fair distance from Amity, as she placed whatever she made on a small box. While they were still confused and unsettled about the morning incident. The curiosity was getting the better of them.

So, they watched closely, as Amity waited outside of Hexside holding her box.

"You think it is something related to her Abomination class?" Emira asked Edric, both of them using illusions to hide themselves from Amity in the campus.

"Not sure yet. What kind of abomination would fit in a box?"

"Well, I heard that Humunculi are some sort of Abominations." Emira recalled those times where their father would bring his creations back home.

"Ugh, disgusting, don't even remind me of those pests." Edric replied, shivering slightly as memories flashed of them poking at the flasks when they were younger.

Soon, they noticed that Amity stopped looking around, immediately they noticed her whole face turning into a shade of red. And they knew what that meant.

Luz. She arrived early at Hexside and spotted Amity, then waved and hurried up to her with a big smile.

"Hey, good morning Amity." Luz said, panting lightly from the exercise.

"Good morning to you too, Luz. H-hey… I." She gulped and tried to shake off the goosebumps she felt crawling all over her skin. She tried to find the courage to give Luz what she made for her. "I made you this!" She blurted out and held the box up in her hands as if she was presenting an offering.

"Ooo, what is it?" Luz took the box from Amity's hands and opened to see something familiar. It was yellow mass, covered in chopped pieces of tomato, onions and some mushrooms. Not to mention that it had a very enticing smell of cheese.

"An omelet? Luz asked, surprised to see a dish she has not seen since she left home.

"Yes. I made it for you. As thanks. Y-you're always doing so much for me, I mean US! I mean me, Willow, Gus and my siblings. You really deserve something. So here you go! I-it's yours!" Amity shut herself up, she had been talking for waay too long.

Then, the twins appeared right behind her, each placing an elbow on Amity's shoulders. "So that's what you were doing!" Edric said and grinned alongside his sister.

"What is that? Fried slime?" Emira asked as she inspected the box that Luz now held on her hands, making her to look up in shock at Amity.

"Fried slime?!"

"No no! Don't listen to them. It's not made from Boiling Isles' ingredients I promise you! I went… to the Night Market last night. I bought some… ingredients from a stand that sells human food. I bought a human cooking book first and this was the least complicated dish in there. So, I found the ingredients and made you this early in the morning." Amity glared at her siblings after clearing that up, then continued.

"It is chicken eggs, that's what the salesman told me. I… don't know what a chicken is. But they told me that it looks like a weird tiny griffin." Amity explained.

Then Luz burst out in laughter, making the Blights a bit confused. "I'm sorry. It's just… thank you." Luz said with the biggest smile that they had ever seen coming from her. "I don't know what to say. This…" Luz was out of words, she decided to express how she felt by giving Amity a big hug, which caught her by surprise.

"Es fantástico! Increíble! Huele delicioso! Gracias, gracias, gracias!" Luz was unable to speak in the English language at the time.

"You're welcome!" Amity said, with her face completely red and her cheeks puffed. "I think." She didn't understand what she was trying to say but she guessed that she was thanking her.

Soon enough, Luz broke the hug and looked back down at the omelet. "You have no idea how much this means to me. Seriously. Thank you! You have to bring me to this place someday. Eda never brought food from the human world… wait. I destroyed the only portal to the human world. How is that salesman getting their ingredients?" She asked with a more concerned look.

"Oh, this guy has a farm of foreign creatures. That's what he told me. I could bring you to the Night Market sometime if you want to see for yourself. But I doubt you will find another portal back home there… I'm sorry." Amity said, heartbroken to tell that to Luz.

"No, that's ok." Luz said, a smile still on her face. "This is still wonderful. I will make it for you!" Luz said.

"Luuz, you're always doing stuff for us. You earned it. Please enjoy it." Amity said trying to reassure Luz not to make a huge thing about it.

"Ok, I will." Luz brought her box with her and began to walk up into Hexside. "See ya after class!"

When Luz left. Amity sighed and couldn't hide the fact how happy she was.

"Oh Luz. If only you knew how much I love you. Mwah mwah mwah!" Emira teased Amity while Edric joined in.

"How I long for you to hold me in your arms. Dressed in white. To ride into the sunset with you as my beloved wife!"

"Take me away! My heart only needs of you and your love! Kiss me! I'm all yours, Luz Noceda!"

Then they both stopped when they heard soft laughter coming from Amity. "Stop it." She was didn't seemed to be upset, not even their teasing could ruin this moment for her.

"Well, I'll be damned, she's not even mad." Edric said. "I think this is serious." He looked at Emira who chuckled softly.

"You did good today. Look at you. All grown up. How did that feel?" Emira asked, brushing some hair back over her sister's ear.

"Good." Amity said, her heart still beating fast. "I got to go to class."

"Suit yourself." They replied.

She then hurried up the stairs and left the twins who shrugged it off and decided to skip class.

Later that night, Amity brought some of the books about Tulpa magic back home. She was tasked with the creation of a Tulpa as homework.

She wanted this done by the end of the night and present her Tulpa the next day. Most likely, most of her class wasn't planning to delivering their homework this fast. But she was dedicated to school and she could gain extra credit if she presented hers early.

"In order to create a Tulpa. You must clean your thoughts of external distractions. Concentration is key in order to materialize your imagination. Scatter tulpa sand on the floor. Unlike goo golems, this do not require a cauldron. Or heat. This sand is infused with magic, it will materialize the tulpa when you cast the spell on it. But you must be sure to do it when your mind has been purged. This process can take from minutes, to hours… and maybe days! WHAT?!" Amity panicked.

"I don't have days… ugh! Ok let's just…" She closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on her thoughts. Unaware that Boscha trespassed her home.

She was outside and about to draw the figure that Phobos asked her to draw for it but then... she stopped herself from doing so and began to think about it.

On the one hand, she wanted Amity to be humiliated. But on the other hand, she was scared of everything coming back to her. But then, she decided to do it anyway, drawing a figure that for a moment, was completely still.

But then, it began to move. Phobos then proceeded to write something on the wall.

'Kind of surprised you decided to do it. I wasn't expecting to see you again.'

"Ok, I want you to give me information. Spy on her. Tell me her secrets. But nothing else. Don't k… don't harm her, ok?" Boscha whispered at the wall.

'Ok ok, I get it. No killing, just intel. Geez, no need to get all shaky about it, you coward.'

"Hey!" Boscha blushed. "I… I just don't want you to bring things to far, ok? I got a conscience."

'I can see that. For someone who wants to ruin someone else's life, you sure know your limits. You're such a… SOFTIE.'

"Shut up! I don't need to get lectured by… an insane wall monster!" Boscha tried her best not to raise her voice, too much.

'Sure, sure, you certainly make yourself look sooo sane by screaming at a doodle on the wall. Heyooo! Phobos out!' And with that, the wall monster proceeded to move up the walls, and into the Manor, leaving a frustrated Boscha kicking at the wall, only to be surprised by a voice on the other side.

"What was that?!" It was Edric.

Boscha gasped and ran away as fast as she could, while the voice of Emira was heard.

"Grandma? Is that you? Are you haunting our home again?! It's not funny, grandma!"

While Amity was upstairs still focusing on clearing her mind. From her window. The wall infection began to crawl into her room, moving across the wall and up to the ceiling.

Phobos observed what was happening.

At some point, Amity finally opened her eyes. They were… completely white, she was focusing her mind in molding the Tulpa sand she spread across her room. It began to move in a circle, quickly it began to focus on one spot.

In front of her, the sand began to shape something, some form that she wasn't quite getting right.

She gritted her teeth; cold sweat began to slide down from her left cheek. She held her hand up and stood up and began to draw a magic circle across the air, pointing at the sand and then… the sand dissipated and she collapsed on her knees.

She was exhausted, panting heavily. Then looked at the sand as her eyes turned back to normal and gently brushed her hair backwards in frustration.

"Think I won't be able to bring my Tulpa to class tomorrow." She whispered to herself while moving away from the sand to take a seat on her chair and began to write on her dairy.

She might aswell just filled it in with what happened that day with Luz. Her mind was exhausted, but the memories of Luz were bringing her spirit back up from disappointment.

'Dear diary.'

'Today I took the initiative to do something for Luz. I made her a human dish called an omelet. She seemed very pleased about it. She even spoke in that dialect that I do not understand. But she was very happy, I've never seen her that happy before. Even if it doesn't mean anything. I felt… so good. I like her so much. Her face, her hair, the way she dresses, everything.'

'I know that we didn't see eye to eye when we met. And I said some very mean things to her… and even wrote some of those things here aswell. But that all changed. I really want you to know how much I like you, Luz. Even if I don't have the courage to say it to your face just yet. At least I can write how I feel about you here. I don't care if my siblings tease me about it.'

She proceeded to doodle something on the blank edge of that very same page on her diary. She drew her interpretation of Luz, wearing that silly otter pajamas she wears sometimes. She rested her cheek on the one free hand while the other finished the drawing. She finished it off by putting a few hearts around it before placing her pen down and gently booped the drawing with her index finger.

Finally, she put the diary down afterwards and head downstairs to eat dinner. It took her about a few hours to get ready for bed.

She laid down on her bed at the end of the night and slowly drifted off to sleep. Then, Phobos decided to make its move.

It crawled from the ceiling across the wall. Infecting them, as if they were tentacles made of scribbles that were inspecting every inch of the room. The black mass of scribbles looked around the books.

Abominations, hexes, curses and even her diary…

Soon enough, Phobos decided to inspect the most important part of the room. Amity's mind. The scribbles began to crawl across the ceiling and down the wall that the bed was facing against.

They reached Amity and began to read her thoughts.

It was filled… with conflicted emotions and all of them were focused on one. Single. Person.

Phobos began to draw glyphs underneath Amity's bed and connected them to the sand spread across her room which she did not clean.

It was filled with runes, some Nordic, some Egyptian, some Aztec, some of civilizations that were neither of the human or the Boiling Isles' Realms.

While Amity was deep asleep, the magic that Phobos was performing began to shape the sand into a form, fueled by the dreams of the minty haired girl.

While the magic runes did their work. Amity was shifting in her sleep. Her eyes opened but she wasn't conscious. Her eyes were white and her imagination was running wild.

The sand continued to shape in different forms for some time. Never a consistent one. Until at some point it stopped and began to focus on shaping into a humanoid form.

The next morning, Amity woke up, she felt exhausted. Not aware that her mind had been working all night.

She stretched as soon as she took a seat on the edge of her bed and yawned, rubbing her eyes. She knew it was time to go to school, but she still wanted to sleep some more. Her head was hurting a bit, even.

It was unlike her. She thought for a brief moment, then she saw a reflection on the mirror, her eyes adjusted and she saw… Luz's face.

Then she moved her eyes to see the shape of a long-haired person sitting on the floor, wearing her clothes. She felt her heart starting to beat fast and hard.

Then looked back at the mirror and she still saw Luz's face. She panicked and then whispered in a loud tone.

"Luz?! What are you doing in my house?!" Amity exclaimed and then she saw the person she believed was Luz, turned her head to face her.

She looked like Luz, she had Luz's face, her skin was just as tanned as she was. But she had longer hair and her eyes were different. Then she heard her voice, but it wasn't Luz's. She didn't recognize that voice. And the sound of it only made her to take a step back.

"Good morning, maker." The creature said and then Amity gasped, she almost felt as if her heart just stopped. But managed to whisper something to herself.

"The tulpa."

End of Chapter 4.

Hi, got a few things to write here. First, I think my subconscious stole a joke. The dead grandma haunting joke. As soon as I wrote that line, I then felt like I've heard that before. But I cannot remember where from. xD

If you happen to recognize where that joke was from, yeah maybe I stole it.

Second, I dunno if the crushing is turning into overkill territory. Tell me if I'm taking it too far because I can't tell. I had fun writing Amity crushing hard on Luz.

Third, I'm sad. :c

So very sad. I heard that there was a third season coming, but it's not a full season and it's the last one we'll ever have. Like, I told to myself that if this is Dana's decision, then I'll respect it. But it doesn't seem to be the case.

She wrote that if we want more that we should tell Disney about it or watch the show on Disney Plus. Which… I'm doing. I've seen the first season like 4 times and I've put the episodes as background noise more times.

I dunno. I just became a fan and the ending was already decided. So yeah. I dunno how to handle the situation. But I love the show so I will be doing what I can to support it. Hope you guys have a great day and I'm sorry for writing this cheesy bit here.

I just wanted to vent this somewhere.

I'll try to get the next chapters done. Because I might have to put this on hiatus afterwards. Just warning you. But I do plan to finish this. I'm not going to leave this in a cliffhanger if I can help it!
