The Resistance: Avalon Net Gameplay

I, Mark Briggs known as Meymage, play The Resistance: Avalon online on 6/19/2020 having six players total in the game.

Introduction:

The Resistance: Avalon pits the forces of Good and Evil in a battle to control the future of civilization. Arthur represents the future of Britain, a promise of prosperity and honor, yet among his brave warriors are Mordred's unscrupulous minions. These few evil minions that know each other are hidden except from one of Arthur's servants. Merlin alone knows these agents of evil, he must speak of this only in riddles, because if his true identity is discovered all will be lost.

During the game players set up missions for their team. In this six player game we have two Spies and four Resistance members. The first mission has exactly two players. Missions two and four has exactly three players. Mission three and five has exactly four players. It's a battle of which team completes three missions before the other team.

The fifth mission requires all four Resistance members for it to pass. One Spy in enough for the mission to fail. The Resistance also loses if Merlin is discovered among the Resistance team. The Spies are unaware of any Resistance roles at the start of the game.

Morgana appears as Merlin to Percival. Merlin and Percival are Resistance. The rest are known as regular Resistance members trying to deduce the situations. The spies see their entire team unaware of the other player's role. At this time the game can consist of five to ten players with a variety of roles.

Gameplay:

The game has twenty five total proposals at most. Every fifth proposed team is known as the hammer. The hammer must be approved by majority even if it's a Spy otherwise the Resistance automatically loses the game. All comments are publicly stated. Now we begin the game.

Team Proposal Missions 1.1 - 1.5

1.1: I, Merlin, witness this Resistance member seren hard pick a spy. I say nothing hoping they'd get unglued later.

1.2: The next pick belongs to Morgana repicking 1.1. It is rejected like it without a word.

1.3: The next pick belongs to a Resistance member, I don't know who Percival is yet, though this player off picks me with seren.

1.4: The next pick belongs to a spy called Killer off picking 1.1 and 1.2. No info is gained with it being rejected.

1.5: This player picks seren for 1.5. We all approve the team passing the mission. It succeeds.

Team Proposal Missions 2.1-2.5

2.1: I add myself to 1.5. All of us on the team approve it while the others reject it. It goes to 2.2.

2.2: Seren adds saya89 to the team. It gets rejected too.

2.3: A repick by Morgana of 2.2 that is also rejected.

2.4: Og picks self, saya, and Skyler. It is rejected.

2.5: Killer picks self, saya, and seren. A very dirty team. It fails giving Resistance information.

Team Proposal Missions: 3.1-3.5

3.1: All but killer and og are picked by Skyler. Them and saya reject moving on.

3.2: I, Meymage, pick all by ogn and saya to hide. Them and seren reject my team. We move on.

3.3: Saya and me aren't picked by Seren. Only killer approves the team. We move on.

3.4: Skyler and killer aren't picked by saya. Them and og reject. We move to hammer.

3.5: Og repicks saya's team. It is approved failing from one vote. We have said little this game.

Team Proposal Missions: 4.1-4.5

4.1: Killer picks self, Skyler, and og. It is rejected by all. We move on.

4.2: Skyler picks self, og, and me. All of us approve the team. We move on.

4.3: I repick the team. It gets approved from off approves from seren and killer passing the team. It succeeds.

Team Proposal Missions: 5.1-5.5

5.1: seren adds self to 4.3. All but Skyler and killer approve the team. Without much more chat we enter the assassination phase.

Assassination.

Killer, the assassin, discusses with Spy mate Morgana, saya89. They figure out that Skyler and I contain Percival and Merlin known as the power roles. Since I had a lazy 2.1 they regarded Skyler more. Skyler picked clean 1.5 and 4.2. I remained quiet. My team realized discrepancies in the first mission picks. After some discussion I am relieved to live. The assassin kills Skyler over me. The Resistance wins thanks greatly to Percival.

Afterward:

I leave promptly saving this game. Since the Resistance played good I remained hidden. We are happy everyone played the game getting involved on the missions. Many Resistance games can be this easy. In several games I've excluded myself from all mission picks to provide information. It has worked when Resistance added me to the fifth mission in some games.
