The day after Diana had gone to the Watchtower the satellite headquarters of the Justice League; she turned a corner and heard laughter and glared at the mocking site of an orange haired man in a dark green bodysuit, dark green boots, long white gloves, a glowing dark green ring on his finger and a sleeveless dark green collared jacket with a symbol of a dark green circle with two lines at the top of it. He was Guy Gardner one of the members of the intergalactic police force known as the Green Lantern Corps and the most annoying Green Lantern in the Justice League. Hal Jordan a fellow Justice League founding member may have had his moments of going the extra mile (including trying to hit on her in the early days of the League's existence) but even at his worst Hal was more bearable than Gardner.

Gardner then used his ring to create a construct screen of the Daily Bugle website which showed a video of J. Jonah Jameson a moustached balding haired man in a business suit at a desk ranting:

"Support for that wall crawling menace has gone up with authorities told to leave him be; millions of dollars in property damage and the supervillains that his presence creates endangering our city plus at least 2 deaths he had become responsible for and he will be allowed to continue on and not treated like the criminal that he truly is? Why, because of that so called Wonder Woman vouching for him and everyone treating every word that comes out of the mouths of those Justice League types as gospel. A self righteous circus act who preaches love and peace hippie junk while she beheads monsters with a sword. A role model for young girls who prances about as if she is dressed for a swimsuit magazine and gives blasphemous statements about the Greek Gods being real. Newsflash people the pantheon of gods that she preaches about are run by an adulterist and I don't want to horrify you all with the details of how Hercules was conceived. We can add vilifying menaces to the things wrong with her; if you want a true Wonder Woman then look no further than self made woman Veronica Cale..."

Diana stopped listening halfway through and Gardner then faced her and said "so are you going to make the Spider guy your new sidekick? Maybe have him wear a leotard of his own and be your little Wonder Boy?" Diana glared at him and pushed past, when you spent enough time with Guy Gardner you learned that it's best just not to give him attention or if he goes too far; one punch him like Batman has done before.

Then she saw that there was a man in a grey bodysuit with a black bat logo on it, black gloves, golden belt, long black cape, a black bat like cowl with bat ears shaped into it, black gloves and black belt. He was Bruce Wayne secretly known as the infamous Gotham vigilante and fellow Justice League founding member known as the Batman. "I would be careful dealing with the Spider-Man if I were you Diana; all the run ins with the police that he has had, the times he has been impersonated and the property damage plus acting like a clown who doesn't take things seriously." Bruce told her and she shook her head at him.

In the early days she was attracted to Bruce but the distrustful side of him plus his secretive counter measures soured him in her eyes. She had a vision of her married and donned a Batwoman suit and adopted his methods.

"You have had the Gotham Police after you countless times in the decades you have been donning the suit and you are no stranger to being framed as well. He is just a noble soul fighting the good fight and does it matter if he is not the serious quiet type? One more thing; it's not the business of the other League members when you ally yourself with vigilantes in your city Bruce so I don't think it should be your business when I ally myself with one in mine. Hera knows he actually protects the streets more than I am able to." Diana replied shaking her head as she went on her way.

After a meeting Diana teleported to the streets of New York and knew she had time before she should check in with her staff at the Embassy, she decided that she wanted to walk through the streets to look out for Peter as she knew that usually around this time he would be out as Spider-Man.

Of course Diana walked around in full Wonder Woman regalia of course were bound to get attention and she was more than happy to sign autographs and pose for pictures. She found Peter as Spider-Man in a construction site talking to an African American worker in uniform. She waved at them catching them by surprise and the man ranted "look Spidey, I am taking much of a risk by even talking to you... What am I supposed to say to my parole officer about me being seen talking with Spider-Man and Wonder Woman!"

"Don't worry Aaron; just remember to say that you were working on a case." Peter told the man who was calming down a bit. "Aaron Davis here is a reformed criminal; mainly robbery and cat burglary and we first met when he was about in a purple suit as the Prowler. He is reformed and helps me with information from his old criminal buddies." Peter explained and Diana did remember something in the news about Spider-Man taking down a costumed cat burglar called the Prowler.

"Good for you to decide to turn your life around in an honest life; I bet my friend Spider-Man here appreciates your help." Diana said honestly pleased for the man and Aaron shook his head.

"Well I appreciate the help Spidey here has in helping me turn my life around and giving a good word to my parole officer. Still I wish it was enough to get my brother to let me see my nephew." Aaron said as Diana looked at him apologetically about hearing that. "Anyway, I was telling Spidey here that Manfredi is going to be at the Bar with No Name at a super special auction." Aaron explained and Diana raised an eyebrow.

"An underground bar for criminals and I have gone there for information a few times; they actually let me go in as my costumed self as long as I follow the rules and don't start any fights. I have actually had nice talks with my rogues gallery there." Peter explained and Diana was surprised to hear about that. She had to ask Bruce later if there were any places like that in Gotham because there probably were.

"Yeah well I don't think they will be too keen on letting you in as yourself Spidey as they will know why you are there when they see you and so is Wonder Woman; I imagine they will have measures in case a Superhero tries to intercept including what is being offered." Aaron told them taking out some papers and giving them to the heroes. "Here are some false identities that you can use; my hacker buddy has a few in case of emergencies." Aaron explained as they had a question in mind before they looked at the papers.

"What exactly is up for sale? Some sort of super weapon?" Peter asked as Aaron laughed.

"Well not exactly; it's surgery... Surgery to become a super weapon." Aaron said as they were concerned and confused at the same time. "George Grant came here all the way from Gotham; a former LexCorp scientist who worked for Luthor in a certain project... You know that Metallo guy; the Kryptonite powered cyborg? The project created him and it seems that people will be bidding on the opportunity to become something like Metallo..." Aaron told them and their eyes wide as they knew how big a deal this was.

They said goodbye to Aaron as they left, "Will have to contact the League and have members on standby for this, are you up for some undercover work together..."Diana asked as she glanced at her false identity; Peter nodded excited at getting to work together with Wonder Woman and the League.

"Okay I am Patton Parnel; funny enough with my alliterative name. A trust fund brat who married into a crime family after being cut off... So should I watch Knives Out and practice acting like Ransom..." Peter joked as Diana's eyes widened with him growing in concern.

"I'm Lynda Prince; a bodybuilder and leg breaker for my dad's crime business; married to Patton Parnel..." Diana explained and Peter was totally still with his mouth wide open beneath his mask. "Should I bring you to the Embassy so we could speak about this in private my husband?" Diana whispered to him in a teasing voice as Peter was still trying to comprehend this.
