Bat-cave, Gotham

Batman was in disarray, he has been on his monitor for the past seven hours trying to solve who was the culprit behind joker's death. And he got nothing, even with all the surveillance cameras around Gotham he couldn't find even a hint. He was able to find Joker's last hideout and what he found are a bunch of joker's goons dead on the ground with dozens of bullets in their body. Most people would speculate that they were killed by guns, but Batman was not most people; he was the greatest detective in the world.

'From the way they are positioned it doesn't look like they were all shot at the same time. It's more like their bodies just stopped working and they collapsed then they got shot,' Batman deduced.

"any news on who is the person we're looking for?" Robin asked, even though he's also a great detective but he couldn't compare to Batman, at least not yet.

" No, but I know a person who could help us find them" batman said

"who?" robin asked

"me" someone said behind him. Robin quickly turned around and jumped making a distance and taking a fighting posed ready to battle. but he quickly calmed down when he saw who it was.

"You could've used the front door," Batman said as a joke, But he really didn't like it when people could just teleport inside his cave.

"But this is the easiest way to get around, " the new guest said.

"So how is Dr Fate going to help us find him?" asked robin. yes doctor fate one of the best if not the best sorcerer in this universe and he has a lot of tricks up his sleeve that could help batman.

Batman really didn't like to depend on others to solve problems especially in gotham his own turf." you will know when we go there" batman said and he was about to mount his batmobile when dr fate said "i could teleport us there" even though he didn't want to he agreed because he doesn't have time to waste. Batman gave dr fate the coordinate to joker's hideout and they teleported there.

while all this was happening someone was just sitting to the side and was watching them while eating snacks.

mc POV:

after getting rid of Joker and making the venom in the dome vanish, which made batman even more confused. I followed batman to his cave and watched as he got frustrated. On some occasions I was getting out to get snacks even though I could just create them. I wanted a reason to explore Gotham. And the city was just as I expected crime everywhere. just on my way to the grocery store I encountered a mugger, a dead body and an ugly bastard trying to force his way with a woman I was about to help her when she took a taser from behind he back and tased the man's throat, 'well it's gotham so no doubt every women has something on her to protect herself, good for her i guess' after going to the grocery store I started walking through gotham and just making problems for the crime lords of Gotham.

Iceberg Lounge, Gotham

going inside the casino I started using probability manipulation and made 70% of the people playing here win and making the casino loose as much money as possible. after that the casino manager became suspicious and closed the casino quickly to not loose any more money.

Lark was personal bodyguard of the penguin and also the one managing the facade to his crimes. 'man she's hot, I don't know how Oswald recruited this beauty, shame she's working for him so I gotta get rid of her too". she quickly headed to penguin to inform him of what happened.

3rd person POV (i will start using 3rd POV instead of putting person)

The penguin was in his "office" planning ways to expand his "business" when a knock on the door cut his line of thought. " come in" he said in his grumpy British accent.

lark walked in and reported what happened. After hearing what happened he took a deep breath and started thinking of anything or anyone in Gotham that could and would do this, there are a lot of people with powers that could do this but he couldn't think of anyone that would do this to him especially since the casino is just a facade.

He came to the conclusion that some of his enemies hired someone to do this just to ruffle his feathers or there was a new player in Gotham and that person thought that the casino was his legit business.

mc POV:

I was in the penguin's office and was reading his mind and he's actually good at guessing things I actually did this to make him angry and he was calm and collected outside but inside he was raging not because he lost money but because someone was daring to mess with him. 'eh whatever i will come back and kill you later so enjoy your time'

and just like that i was back in the batcave just in time to see batman make a call to someone to help him find me and i was surprised cuz batman hardly asks help from the other league members. ' guess joker's death was hard on him. Maybe he was in love with the guy who knows he's batman after all'.

when dr fate teleported inside the cave I was hoping he would notice my invisibility but alas he's too weak for that. when they teleported i finished eating my samosa, (never thought I would find this in gotham) and teleported to joker's hideout.

3rd POV

Batman, Robin and Dr Fate appeared inside the warehouse that the Joker used as one of his temporary hideouts. when they came inside they were greeted with the smell of dead bodies. "You could at least cover them with something" Dr fate said as the smell was disgusting. "i didn't have the time for that," Batman said, "so this is where you want me to look for it?' dr fate asked. "yes" batman said

"Okay let's see what we got here" Kent Nelson or Dr Fate was one of the strongest league members because of his wide array of spells ranging from teleportation to dimensional to even necromancy. He was also a capable chronomancer and Batman knew this so he asked for his help.

Using his time abilities he looked into the past to see what exactly happened and when he was done. He used his ilusion to show what happened here to Batman and robin. they watched joker planning to blow up a hospital and take some patients hostage when a man appeared out of nowhere beside joker.

Batman was focused on the man and was using his equipment to identify the man. they watched as joker released his venom point blank to the man's face and they were expecting for the venom to take effect but nothing happened, they saw joker's goon shooting at the man's back until they were out of ammo and there was not even scratch on the man's casual clothes, when the goons started running toward him they dropped to the ground and then the guy did something to joker as he fainted and the guy disappeared again and when the joker woke up he started mumbling the phrase "batman is dead" multiple times till it was a full blown shouting and stated shooting his goons.

after seeing everything that happened and how the joker ended up dead robin asked" so is he some kind of wizard or something because i can't find anything on him, there is nothing that could match he's face , no ID, NO passport, not even birth certificate nothing" robin said frustrated looking at his wrist watch which was actually a supercomputer. Batman sighed looking at his frustrated son and asked dr " can you track him down?"

"I can as long as he can't ward himself from magic" and he said that and started casting a tracking spell only to find that not only was he in the same vicinity but he was also just few inches away from him. he quickly sent an energy blast where he felt his aura and jumped away saying" show your self!".

Batman and Robin were alerted and took a fighting stance and started looking around only to find nothing.

"Geez, why are you yelling? I'm just beside you" a voice said in the middle of the triangular formation they made.

they scattered again and dr fate sent a spell to bind him which failed and started bombarding him with spells but nothing worked. seeing dr fate spells fail and there is nothing in his gadget to harm the man in front of him he tried the diplomatic way and asked the young man in front of him"who are you?".

the young man turned to batman and said " my name is.."
