A/N: After this chapter I am gonna go back to working on my Mulan book. Once it is finished I will come back to this book to work on it. I will then work on chapters for kingdom hearts 1 then switch to my white Fang book and come back and do Kingdom hearts 3. I will not be adding chapters for Kingdom hearts 2 though.

"Nope. Doesn't look like him. Look! That feller's got the Star Shard the King borrowed! And he has a friend with him." A voice says as Alexis and Ventus land on the ground as the star shard's light dies out.

"King?" Alexis asks as she sees a duck and a dog like creature.

"Oh you must be talking about Mickey. I saw him- Wha- Huh? Hey take it easy!" Ventus shouts as the duck and dog push him and Alexis toward a nearby tower.

"Are we glad to see you!" The duck shouts.

"Come on. Let's go!" The dog shouts.

"We're coming. No need to push!" Alexis says.

*Timeskip*

"Yen Sid sir! We just got a clue as to where the King might be!" The dog says as he and the duck stand at attention as the group is standing in front of a man in a blue robe.

"Ah Ventus." Yen Sid says as he sees Ventus.

"Huh?" Ventus asks.

"You know him?" Alexis asks as she looks at Ventus.

"Eraqus has told me much about you. I see you have brought a friend along." Yen Sid says as he looks at Alexis.

"Uh yes. My name is Alexis." Alexis says kindly.

"It is a pleasure to meet you dear. If I am not mistaken you were ordered to return home." Yen Sid as Ventus gives a guilty look.

"Well sir I..." Ventus says.

"No matter. Mickey has difficulty following directions too. Where is this clue to Mickey's whereabouts?" Yen Sid asks.

"I've got it!" The duck says as he puts the shard on Yen Sid's desk.

"This feller Venquist- Uh Ventilate... Uh Veggie-" The dog says.

"Just call him Ven!" The duck shouts as Alexis chuckles slightly.

"Sure. That's what I usually go by." Ventus says as he smiles.

"Ven had it when he and Alexis got here." The duck says.

"Please explain." Yen Sid says as he looks at Ventus.

"I ran into Mickey. But we got sent flying into the light- I don't know where he went. He wasn't in the same world as the one where we found that." Ventus says.

"As I thought...Mickey has been hurling himself from one world to the next. That explains why I could not discern his location." Yen Sid says as he runs his fingers through his beard.

"You can now can't you?" The duck asks.

"Yes. I can." Yen Sid says as he creates a cloud of dust on his desk before Mickey appears in it struggling to get up.

"Mickey!" Ventus shouts.

"The King!" The duck and dog shout before the king disappears.

"Huh? Where did he go?" Alexis asks.

"There is a dark and powerful force that is interfering with my magic." Yen Sid says.

"Just tell us where the King is Mr. Yen Sid sir and me and Donald will go right there and save him." The dog says.

"You two? That may not be adequate." Yen Sid shouts.

"But I'm the captain of the King's royal knights!" The dog shouts.

"And I'm his magician!" Donald shouts.

"I'll find him. I recognize the place we saw." Ventus says as he steps forward.

"If you go we'll go with you!" Donald shouts.

"No. I owe him. Mickey saved me once. And I can't risk putting his friends in danger." Ventus says as he looks at Donald and the dog.

"Well I'm going." Alexis says as she goes over to Ventus.

"What? No way Alexis. Not this time. I don't wanna put you in danger." Ventus says as he looks at Alexis.

"And since when has danger stopped me before? Look Ven you're my friend. I care about you. You're the reason I was able to even see the world like I wanted. You're the reason I even see friendship in a new light. Ven I'm going with you and that is that. I've stood by you so far. I'm gonna continue to do so. I can handle myself." Alexis says stubbornly.

"I'm not gonna be able to change your mind am I?" Ventus asks.

"Nope." Alexis says as she smiles.

"Don't worry. I swear we'll bring him back safe." Ventus says as he looks at Donald and the dog.

"Very well Ventus. We will leave it to you and Alexis." Yen Sid says as Alexis and Ventus leave.

As Alexis and Ventus are walking Alexis notices Ventus has stopped and looks at him.

"Ventus is something wrong?" Alexis asks as she goes over to Ventus.

"No.. nothing is wrong.." Ventus says as he looks down.

"Ven are you still concerned over my safety? I told you I'm coming with you no matter what." Alexis says as Ventus looks at her.

"I know but that's not what's on my mind." Ventus says.

"Then what's wrong? You having non happy expression on your face is a dead give away that something's up. So what's wrong?" Alexis asks concernedly.

"Well it's actually I wanted to give you something." Ventus says.

"You want to give me something?" Alexis asks curiously.

"Yeah.. this." Ventus says as he pulls out a green half of a Wayfinder charm.

"That looks like the Wayfinder charm 626 had except it's green and broken in half... On a chain?" Alexis asks as Ventus smiles.

"Yeah. It's half of my Wayfinder. Aqua made Wayfinders for me, Terra, and herself." Ventus says as Alexis looks at him confused.

"But why are you giving this to me Ventus? This is something very special." Alexis says hesitantly.

"You're right. It is special and you're special to me. You've been an amazing friend since you've been with me. You kept saying about how you didn't have friends and didn't like labels but that's not true. You were always there for Herc when I met you and you were there for me and everyone we met together. I think you've got more friends than you know. I understand you may not like the labels but I hope that you'll accept the charm. I don't know if you are gonna stay with me after everything is done but this way we'll have something to remember each other by." Ventus says as Alexis smiles and accepts the charm.

"Not just this.. well have our memories too. But Ven I won't go anywhere if you want me to stay. I was actually considering staying. I've enjoying traveling with you. I wanna have more adventures with you." Alexis says happily.

"Me too. Come on. Let's go find the King." Ventus says as he runs off.

"Right." Alexis says as she follows after Ventus.

*Timeskip*

While walking through the Badlands Alexis then stops upon seeing something laying on the ground in the distance.

"Ven over there!" Alexis shouts.

"Mickey!" Ventus shouts as he and Alexis run over to Mickey before holding him.

"We meet again, boy. I see you have brought a girl with you." A voice says revealing to be a man in dark clothing.

"Who are you?" Alexis asks as she shifts to wolf form growling.

"Master Xehanort." Ventus says.

"Ven? Who is- Ven are you okay!?" Alexis asks in alarm seeing Ventus drop to his knees and clutching his head.

"Ah yes. So you are starting to realize...what you lost- Oh but not for good. You had to lose in order to find. Now it can all be yours again if you only reach out and take it." Xehanort says as he smiles causing Alexis to growl at him.

"What are you doing to him!?" Alexis asks angrily as she growls.

"Alexis please... Stay.. out of it." Ventus says sounding in pain as Alexis looks at him worriedly.

"Reclaim the part that left you. Clash with him! Pure light against pure darkness. To forge the ultimate key. The all-powerful Chi-blade!" Xehanort shouts before Ventus screams and collapses.

"Leave him alone!" Alexis shouts as she growls viciously before running at Xehanort.

"You heard the boy and he is right. You have no place here girl. Begone with you!" Xehanort shouts as he opens a black portal right in front of Alexis as she jumps at him resulting in her jumping instead through it.

*Timeskip*

As Alexis is waking up she soon sees she is in a house on a carpet.

"I see you're awake." A voice says revealing to be a tan skinned boy with dark hair.

"Who are you? Where am I?" Alexis asks as she sits up.

"Well I'm Aladdin and this is Abu. You're in Agrabah. I found you out in the desert unconscious. So I brought you back to my home. I know it's not much but it's home." The boy says as a monkey jumps onto his shoulder.

"What!? Oh no. Please did you find anyone else near by where you found me? A boy by any chance?" Alexis asks worriedly.

"I'm sorry. You were the only person I saw." Aladdin says as Alexis gives a sad look.

"Ven.." Alexis says sadly as Aladdin looks at her curiously.

"If it's okay I ask what happened to you?" Aladdin asks.

"It's not important. I have to leave. I need to try and find my friend." Alexis says as she tries to stand only to fall before Aladdin catches her.

"Whoa! Easy. Look you're hurt. You shouldn't be going anywhere right now." Aladdin says.

"But I have to find him. Even if my chances of doing so are not that good I have to try. He... He was my friend... He meant the world to me." Alexis says determinedly.

"Well you won't be any good to him or yourself if you're hurt. I'm sure he wouldn't want you to endanger yourself like this. Stay here for now. Once you're better maybe I can help you look for him." Aladdin says as Alexis looks at him.

"Are you sure?" Alexis asks as Aladdin nods.

"Yeah. Of course." Aladdin says as Alexis sighs.

"Alright then." Alexis says as Aladdin helps her sit by a window.

"Stay here. I'm gonna go get some food. I'll be back soon. Come on Abu." Aladdin says as he leaves with Abu.

"Ven.. please... Wherever you are stay safe. I promise with all my heart I will find you again. And next time I won't leave your side for nothing." Alexis says as she looks out the window at the night sky before looking at the half of the keychain Ventus gave her.
